3 A 5M barrel/day deficit from the Persian Gulf isn't too horrible in the short run.

If it goes another 4 months it will start to really hurt Europe (which depends on oil for winter heat) and if it goes another 4 or so months after that it will really hurt the USA (which requires a lot of gasoline starting in late spring).

The USA is producing quite a bit more of natural gas than last year but only a little bit more of crude.
