#1 I wish this could be contained for just a few months until Israel has deployed the iron beam technology.

Of course as long as I am wishing, I wish Israel had been prepared for the Oct 7 Hamas attacks. How different things would have been if 1700 Hamas attackers had been eliminated with, say, fewer than a dozen civilian deaths.

#2 Come, my dear Cielito Lindo — you know intimately what ACA Joe has or has not posted. But I quite agree with you — it’s so cute that his excellency, President Erdogan in his rôle as Sultan Recep Tayip Erdogan I (“the much beloved”), reared up on his hind legs to announce a thing that even the most hate-filled of Israel’s enemies know to be utterly impossible.

He should be careful though, that his people do not come to call him the Turkish version of Epimanes, like the fourth Antiochus of the Seleucid line.
