Various southern Yemeni separatist militias clash in Aden

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Armed festivities erupted on Thursday between factions affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the Sheikh Othman district of central Aden, leaving several people injured.
A local source in the city reported that festivities erupted between members of ''the Security Belt Forces,'' led by Nasser al-Dahshali, and other button men affiliated with the STC factions. The festivities occurred after the button men began opening fire during a wedding celebration for one of their relatives in the Abd al-Qawi neighborhood.
The source indicated that verbal altercations between the two parties quickly escalated into armed festivities, resulting in injuries on both sides. He added that ''the Security Belt Forces brought military reinforcements to the area and were able to control the situation, arresting two participants in the festivities after several main and side streets were closed.''
The festivities, in which light and medium weapons were used, sparked panic among the neighborhood's residents, amid the ongoing escalation and security tension in the area.
