#1 Mary's probably the most anti-American of all the European "intellectuals", and feels much more comfortable with the third world thugocracies. Sure, fine, but not exactly what you want in a U.N. human rights commissioner.

Since Mary personally refused to intervene when the Arab thugs, er, leaders, shouted Israel down at the last human rights conference, I don't look for much involvement in something so gauche as religious freedom in a Muslim country.

Mary can't pack her bags and leave the UNHRC fast enough to suit me.
