2 Some accept being medicated, and some of them respond well to their medication. Others need to be locked up for everyone’s safety, including their own — preferably in a mental hospital rather than a prison. Sadly, there are not many mental hospitals available for long term rather than acute care — almost all were closed in the big deinstitutionalization wave of the 1970s.

Teekaye’s parents are from Sierra Leone and Liberia, and he lived with his parents and sister. He worked at a restaurant and had a history of mental illness, the indictment said.

He had been on the FBI’s radar since at least 2019, when he had posted extremist Islamist ideology on social media as a teenager.

Bobby, the feds took notice of his Islamofascistic ranting online in 2019. After he was released from the mental hospital the first time, he was apparently assigned an informant to whom he seems to have confided all.
