#3 Sounds like a strange dude. I wonder if he doesn't sleep for reasons other than to avoid sluggishness - could he have advanced this far if he admitted he had 'night visitors' and asked for help?

Question: Do military assignments such as these really require congressional approval? Sounds like another encroachment on the powers of the president as CIC by congress to me.

But then I've never been in the military so wouldn't know.
