4 Interesting. I just had a lightbulb moment and connected the ancient Mitanni Kingdom and the folding of Mithras into the Roman Pantheon.

Anyways. I stopped in to say Napoleon did stupid stuff like this. He abolished the established calendar and made up his naming conventions.

Months: Renamed based on nature, such as Vendémiaire (grape harvest), Brumaire (fog), Frimaire (frost), and Germinal (budding).

Days: Renamed after seeds, trees, fruits, and animals instead of saints.
