4 I can understand the Haitians not wanting to go back, but if one argues we can't send them back because the country full of Haitians, it raises the question: Why do we want them here?

6 The department at that time extended TPS for another 18 months through February 3, 2026, citing "simultaneous economic, security, political, and health crises" in Haiti, fueled by gangs and a lack of a functioning government.

So it will end in a year even if the judge wins this round, and in the meantime the Haitians here on TPS are getting a strong signal that it’s time to wind up their affairs, and maybe even take an offered payment to go home early. Even if we lose we’ll win.
