#1 Was kind of partial to Gulf of Buc-cee's, but this is fine.

#4 Have you checked personally? I switched my VPN to a US server and still get Gulf of Mexico. Also the font is wrong.

#5 The change will be visible in the U.S. once it is officially updated in the U.S. Geographic Names System, Google said in an X post on Monday.

will be - future tense. Rome wasn't renamed in a day.

#7 You guys threw a hissy fit when they renamed forts, schools, etc, that were originally built and named for us. Explain please, how this is different. In fact, if not intent.

#8 ...oh, those pesky oaths of allegiance that were betrayed. I have problems with removing the line soldier statutes as they were basically fighting for their team/tribe [not much different than a fall Saturday college rivalry in allegiance]. They were exploited by their ruling class, something we can identify with for these last 20 years. Individually, I'm for keeping Bragg's name because he probably contributed more to the final Union victory than a bushel of Union generals through his incompetence and ego.

#9 I would note as well, that it was pretty damn cynical of the swamp to name them so in the first place when they needed hundreds of thousands of white southern boys to go die and be maimed in Europe and Asia from Cuba through Vietnam for their goals.
