Given, Ms. Griswold was the 1st African American to hold this County Register position in its 246-year history.

IF convicted. She will be a major embarrassment to the 100's of 1000's honest hard working minorities in various government civil service positions.

Why do I say IF?
Aside from the obvious PC & DEI political issues at play here. As others have pointed out. Her salary pays 6 figures a year, and something doesn’t seem to add up over this check for a few thousand dollars.

#3 The county neighbors Baltimore and includes Annapolis. It is a mix of economic and social classes. There is some spillover of crime from Baltimore and the usual corruption of a Dem state capitol.
