British-Pakistani judge hands jail terms to West Yorkshire grooming gang members
2025-01-19
[GEO.TV] British-Pak Judge Ahmed Nadim has sentenced three men from Keighley who were part of a West Yorkshire grooming gang in the late 1990s for rape at Bradford Crown Court.

Overall, a group of eight men, who were part of the grooming gang have been jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
, BBC reported.

Three of those included Ibrar Hussain, 47, and brothers Imtiaz Ahmed, 62, and Fayaz Ahmed, 45 were sentenced for rape by the court a day ago.

The court convicted the men after finding them guilty of non-recent sexual offences on a girl following a trial in November and December 2024.

Five other men had been jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
last year for their involvement in the sexual assault.

According to the prosecution, the grooming gang members had raped a 13-year-old girl in West Yorkshire in 1990.

Hussain and Imtiaz and Fayaz were all sentenced for raping one of the girls, who was aged between 13 and 14 when the offences took place, the report said.

Hussain was jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
for six-and-a-half years for two counts of rape, whereas, Imtiaz for nine years in his absence for one count of rape and Fayaz was given seven-and-a-half years imprisonment in his absence for two counts of rape.

Imtiaz and Fayaz had absconded during a retrial last year and were believed to be abroad, the court heard.
So their real sentence is banishment, which is somewhat better than nothing. Though I would have preferred full castration and solitary confinement for life, those are not things England does anymore.
After sentencing the three men, Judge Nadim expressed hope that the sentences gave the victims "comfort of knowing that their voices at long last have been heard".

"They have had to tread a painful and arduous path. I commend them both for their courage and steadfastness," he said.

After the hearing, West Yorkshire Police stated in a statement that five men have received the following sentences after the first trial which concluded on October 20, 2023:

  • Amreaz Asghar 47 of Keighley was jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
for 4 and a half years for rape

  • Perwaz Asghar 50 of Nottingham was jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
for 6 and a half years for two indecent assaults

  • Mohammed Din 47 of Keighley was jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
for 14 years for 11 counts of rape

  • Sajid Mahmood Khan 45 of Keighley was jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
    for 3 years for rape.

  • Zehroon Razak 47 of Keighley was jugged
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
for 6 and a half years for rape

Pointing towards the recent verdict, the force said that the second trial was concluded on December 13, 2024, in which one man was convicted of child sex offences and two other men were also convicted but the trial was held in their absence.

Earlier this month, the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) said that the vast majority of sexual grooming gang offences are carried out by white men.
Possibly true. But we have no way of knowing, when most such offenses by “Asians” have been actively covered up.
The statement came after X billionaire owner Elon Musk published several posts making false accusations against British-Pak men.
Sorry, O GEO reporter, but those accusations are true. You are part of the cover-up.
New figures from the police database show that, where ethnicity data was available, 85% of ''group-based'' child abusers were white in the first three quarters of 2024. The same data for the whole of 2023 showed 83% of offenders were white.
And where ethnicity data was deliberately not recorded by the police? Or the crimes themselves were not recorded by the police? One must always understand statistics in context, you know. That’s what good reporters strive always to do, unlike propagandists.

founded by Abdul Wali Khan in 1986. Part of the PPP-led cabinet 2008-13. The ANP is considered left wing, advocating for secularism, democratic socialism, public sector government, and economic egalitarianism....
provincial president Aimal Wali Khan has demanded that those who took the decision of resettling bandidos gunnies in Pakistain should be taken to task.

"The security agencies have admitted bringing the bandidos gunnies back to Pakistain from Afghanistan during the rule of Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf

"Resettlement of bandidos gunnies was and is a project of a few persons," he said and demanded: "Former army chief Gen retired Qamar Javed Bajwa and former Inter-Services Intelligence

Aimal Wali claimed that 100 bandidos gunnies were freed during the PTI government and action should be taken against former prime minister Imran Khan

He said ANP stood against all forms of militancy and would continue to resist the menace.

He also claimed he was facing threats to his life and told workers that if something bad happened to him, they should not lodge an FIR, and should instead take Dire Revenge from the perpetrators of terrorists.

"If something happens to me, the ANP workers should take revenage from Gen retired Qamar Bajwa, Let-Gen retired Faiz Hameed, President Arif Alvi, former prime minister Imran Khan, former KP chief minister Mahmood Khan and former adviser Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif," he said.

3 police officers gunned down by ‘terrorists’ in targeted attack in Nowshera
2022-12-04
[Dawn] Three coppers were shot full of holes by forces of Evil in Nowshera district’s Akora Khattak on Saturday, according to police and rescue officials.

"Three coppers died in the attack," Nowshera police front man Durrani told Dawn.com, saying that the assailants targeted a police van.

He said that a police party reached the scene of the crime soon after the attack, cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation.

Durrani said the search operation was ongoing while the police were also gathering details of the incident and assailants.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police identified the officers as Head Constable Manzoor, Constable Amanullah and Constable Ayaz.

A Rescue 1122 statement said medical teams moved the bodies to District Headquarters Hospital Nowshera.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan took notice of the incident and summoned an incident report from the police chief.

"The incident is very tragic and the sacrifice of the deaders will not go in vain," the chief minister said. He also prayed for the dear departed and extended his condolences to their families.

The incident comes after a suicide kaboom targeting a police truck in Balochistan

Terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat martyrs six policemen
2022-11-20
[The Nation (Pak)] At least six coppers — including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) — were martyred when two gunnies on a cycle of violence opened fire on their mobile during routine patrolling, officials confirmed Wednesday.

The incident took place within the parameters of the Dadiwala Police Station when the cops were conducting a routine patrol near a fair in the city, a spokesperson for the city's police said.

The martyred cops include ASI Ilm Deen, Detective Foot Constable Ahmed Nawaz, Lower Head Constable Zubair, Frontier Reserve Police's sepoy Usman Ali, Constable Mahmood Khan, and driver Dil Jan.

The spokesperson for the district's police said that a search operation has been initiated to arrest the terrorists.

In a statement issued shortly after the heinous attack, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned it and paid tribute to the martyred coppers. "The nation salutes brave officers who have sacrificed their lives for their motherland."

Terming gunnies as the enemies of Pakistain, the prime minister vowed that the nation would stand strong against them. He then urged the KP government to provide the "Shuhda Package" to the families of the dear departed.

Parliament’s imprimatur
2022-06-24
[Dawn] IT may be a given that the country’s security establishment would take the lead in talks with the banned TTP, but it was important that this hugely consequential issue be part of a more inclusive process. And that is the direction in which matters at last seem to be moving.

On Wednesday, the military top brass in a briefing to the politicianship held out the assurance that no extra-constitutional concessions would be given to the holy warriors and any deal arrived at would be subject to parliamentary approval.

The meeting, the first of its kind since the coalition government came to power, was arranged after the PPP protested that the civilian leadership was being sidelined in the ongoing negotiations. It goes to show that it is worth demanding a seat at the table, instead of being resigned to irrelevance.

The implications of ’mainstreaming’ holy warriors are far-reaching and must be discussed threadbare by the people’s representatives, for they would be in the hot seat if things do not go as planned. The imprimatur of parliament is essential.

In the interest of inclusivity, the coalition should have also invited the PTI leadership. At the very least, the presence of KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan should have been sought at the briefing.

One of the TTP’s demands is a rollback of Fata’s merger with KP, but they have been told there can be no reversal of the move that was effected through a constitutional amendment. Their other demands, indicated the military officials at Wednesday’s meeting, are under consideration.

As matters stand, an indefinite ceasefire between the government and the TTP was announced last month with negotiations set to continue, and an in-camera parliament session is to be convened to bring politicians into the loop. But there is a long way to go before any resolution can be arrived at.

A number of thorny issues need to be ironed out, not the least of which is how the holy warriors are to be ’mainstreamed’. It would certainly rankle the public if top commanders whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent Paks are given amnesty.

Of course, it is debatable whether any deal is even possible. Peace agreements with holy warriors in the past have invariably failed; in fact, these violent mostly peaceful actors have used the time to regroup and come back stronger than ever. Moreover, the TTP comprises several outfits with varying degrees of heft within the combine as well as different levels of commitment to militancy. Some are war-weary, while others, like the Jamaatul Ahrar
...A Pak Taliban splinter group that split off from the Mullah Fazlullah faction because it wasn't violent enough...
, are driving a hard bargain. It would be exceedingly difficult to bring them all on the same page.

That said, if an agreement is arrived at, it must be one the public perceives as doing some justice to their years of suffering. And its details must not be kept from them.

TTP extends ceasefire until May 30 as talks continue in Afghanistan
2022-05-19
[Dawn] The outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban
...Arabic for students...
Pakistain (TTP) on Wednesday announced an extension in a ceasefire with the government of Pakistain as talks with the Death Eater group continued in Afghanistan.

In a statement shared with the media via WhatsApp, TTP front man Mohammad Khurasani said that the ceasefire would remain in place until May 30.

"Talks are under way between the committees of the TTP and the government of Pakistain," he said in the statement, adding that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan — the Afghan Taliban — was mediating between the two sides.

Khurasani went on to say that a 32-member committee of the Mehsud tribe in South Wazoo and a 16-member committee from the Malakand division also held talks with the TTP on May 13 and 14.

"The committees called for a ceasefire by both sides in light of the ongoing talks. Therefore, keeping in view the demand, both sides have announced a ceasefire until May 30," he said.

The Afghan Taliban also confirmed the talks in Kabul, with government front man Zabihullah Mujahid saying the Islamic Emirate played the role of a mediator.

In a series of tweets in Pashto, he reported "significant progress" in the talks and also shared that a ceasefire had been agreed upon.

"The Islamic Emirate Afghanistan, in a good faith, is making efforts to take the process forward. We hope that both sides will be accommodating and show flexibility," he said.

Dawn.com reached out to Pak officials for comment and is currently awaiting a response.

A Pak embassy source in Kabul confirmed the visit of the Pak delegation but remained tightlipped about the composition of the team and the details of the talks.

TTP attacks on Pak soil have of late witnessed an uptick.

The previous PTI government and the TTP had agreed to a month-long ceasefire to hold talks last year. However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
the Death Eater group had declined to extend the ceasefire after the one-month period ended, accusing the government of failing to honour the decisions reached earlier.

Earlier this month, AFP had reported that another ceasefire, agreed for the Eid period, had been been extended until May 16 in order to hold peace talks. A TTP letter outlining the truce had told fighters "not to violate the decision taken by the central command".

Reports had also emerged about the release of two key TTP leaders, Moslem Khan and Mahmood Khan, and their subsequent handover to the Afghan Taliban. Both leaders were on the list of over 100 detainees, the release of whom is one of the group's key demands.

However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
the TTP front man did not comment on the matter when asked by Dawn.com. "I do not have any confirmed information about the prisoners," Khurasani said.

Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. , police said on Sunday.

In a statement, Peshawar Capital City Police Office Ijaz Khan said that the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Sarband cop shoppe.

He also identified the victims as 42-year-old Suljeet Singh and 38-year-old Ranjeet Singh, adding that they owned spice shops in the Batatal locality.

Police reached the scene soon after receiving information about the incident and shifted the bodies to the hospital for his appointment with Doctor Quincy, Khan said, adding that officials were also collecting evidence from the scene of the crime.

"CCTV cameras from surrounding areas are also being checked," he said, adding that a search operation had been launched in the area to nab the suspects who managed to escape.

"Those involved in the incident will soon be unmasked," the officer said.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan took notice of the incident and order the KP Inspector General of Police to arrest the perpetrators. He added that the incident was an attempt to disrupt the law and order of Peshawar.
And the Indian response, reported by One India:
India on Sunday asked Pakistain to sincerely investigate the killing of two Sikh businessmen in northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province and take strict action against those responsible for the "deplorable" incident.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said India has registered its strong protest with Pakistain on the continued "targeting" of members of the minority community in that country.

Bagchi said India expects that the Pakistain government would look after the safety, security and well-being of its minority communities.

The two Sikh businessmen - Saljeet Singh (42) and Ranjeet Singh (38) - were rubbed out on Sunday by unidentified button men in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

"We have seen the reports on the brutal killing of two Sikh traders by unidentified gunnies in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar. Sadly, this is not the first such case or a rare occurrence," Bagchi said.

He said "grave concerns" have been expressed by various quarters of the Indian civil society and the Sikh community at this shocking and deplorable incident.

"We have registered our strong protest with the Government of Pakistain on continued targeting of members of the minority community in Pakistain," Bagchi said.

"We call upon the authorities concerned to sincerely investigate the matter and take strict action against those responsible for this deplorable incident," he said.

According to police, both the businessmen went titzup after being attacked by two bike-borne assailants in the morning.

"We expect that the Government of Pakistain, in the discharge of its responsibilities, will look after the safety, security and well-being of its minority communities," the spokesperson said.

on Sunday.

According to a police statement, the incident occurred near Ring Road within Gulbahar cop shoppe limits. The statement said a heavy police contingent had reached the scene and a search operation was underway.

"Evidence is being collected from the scene of the crime and CCTV cameras are also being checked," police said.

The statement added that the body had been shifted to the hospital for conducting an autopsy while further investigation was underway.

"William Siraj was a padre at a church within Chamkani cop shoppe limits," the statement said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, bullets whapped! around Butch as he tried to tie his scarf around his shoulder as a tourniquet......
a spokesperson for Lady Reading Hospital said that the injured priest was discharged after being provided medical treatment for minor injuries.

Speaking to the media at the scene of the crime, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Abbas Ahsan said that the attack on the Christian community was tragic.

He added that according to initial reports, there were two attackers involved in the incident. "A comprehensive investigation has been launched," he said. CCPO Ahsan stated that members of the minority community were targeted, adding that it was a "terrorist act".

He said that in the past, police had identified the perpetrators of attacks targeting minorities and said that the same would also be done in this case. The officer said that officials were conducting geo-fencing and looking at other data.

"We are determined to protect minorities," the CCPO said, adding that a team consisting of officials from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Peshawar police had been formed to probe the case.
For a given value of protection, of course...
Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, bullets whapped! around Butch as he tried to tie his scarf around his shoulder as a tourniquet......
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan took notice of the incident and directed the IG to take necessary steps for arresting the culprits.

He also condemned the fact that religious leaders of the Christian community were targeted, adding that the perpetrators would not be able to escape the clutches of the law.
Which law might that be? Pakistan is a Muslim country, openly submissive to Sharia law. And Sharia law places all unbelievers at the mercy of any passing member of the Master Religion. This time the mercy was withheld.
Khan offered his condolences to the Christian community and the family of the dear departed.
“Sorry your guy was attacked. Had he been Muslim, he wouldn’t have been.”
