Tehrik-e-Taliban: Pakistan using prisoner for propaganda |
2017-04-28 |
[Dhaka Tribune] The Taliban ...Arabic for students... in Pakistain has accused the country’s premier intelligence service of using a notorious captured Death Eater leader to give the impression the group is being funded by foreign spy agencies to orchestrate attacks, a Death Eater front man said. Meanwhile, ...back at the mall, Clarissa suddenly spied Mr. Bartlett at the checkout counter. He was buying Grecian Formula!... two Pak intelligence officials said Thursday an overnight US dronezap killed seven gunnies in a tribal region near the Afghan border, the first such strike since 2014. Mohammad Khurasani, front man for Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain, commented late Wednesday after the Mighty Pak Army released a video of Death Eater Ahsanullah Ahsan. In the video, the ex-front man of the group said he surrendered to authorities after seeing his leaders receiving help from Indian and Afghan intelligence services to orchestrate attacks in Pakistain. Nafees Zakaria, front man for Pakistain’s foreign ministry, said Thursday that Ahsan had laid down arms and revealed the role of foreign spy agencies in attacks in Pakistain. However, a hangover is the wrath of grapes... Khurasani said Pakistain’s Inter-Services Intelligence ...the Pak military intelligenceagency that controls the military -- heads of ISI typically get promoted into the Chief of Army Staff position. It serves as a general command center for favored turban groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad, tries to influence the politix of neighboring countries, and carries out a (usually) low-level war against India in Kashmir... was using a "prisoner" for propaganda against the group. He refuted what he called ISI’s "childish" acts and "non-serious" claims of Ahsan. Scores of attacks claimed by Ahsan in the past include the 2012 attack on teenage Nobel prize winner Malala Yousafzai ...a Pashtun blogger and advocate for girls' education from Mingora, in Swat. She is esteemed as an ambassador of international good will, even though she can't go home lest some fellow in a turban shoots her in the head again... , who was shot in in the head in Pakistain’s scenic valley of Swat ...a valley and an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistain, located 99 mi from Islamabad. It is inhabited mostly by Pashto speakers. The place has gone steadily downhill since the days when Babe Ruth was the Sultan of Swat... for her advocacy for women’s education. Ahsan quit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain in 2014 and joined the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar group. He was a senior figure in that group before his surrender to authorities. Jamaat-ul-Ahrar is behind dozens of attacks on civilians and Pakistain security agencies. Mighty Pak Army officials have said that the head of the Pak Taliban, Mullah Fazalullah, has ordered scores of attacks, including the assault on Malala, and that he is hiding in Afghanistan. Shahhussain Murtazawi, acting front man for Afghanistan's Caped President Ashraf Ghani ![]() , said Afghanistan is in a war against terrorism and Kabul has never supported terrorism against others. Without naming Pakistain, he said Kabul expects other states not to allow their soil to be used to stage attacks against Afghanistan. |

Suicide Bomber Kills At Least 26, Wounds 45 In Pakistan |
2015-12-30 |
[HUFFINGTONPOST] A jacket wallah went kaboom!outside a government office in a northwestern Pak city on Tuesday, killing at least 26 people and wounding 45 in an attack claimed by a breakaway Taliban group. The bombing took place in the city of Mardan, outside the regional office of the National Database and Registration Authority, or NADRA, which issues identity cards, according to senior police officer Saeed Khan Wazir. Wazir told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that some of the maimed were at death's door at a hospital in the nearby city of Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. . "A gunman opened fire and killed a guard upon being asked to stop for checking. Then he went kaboom!his suicide jacket," he said. Wazir said if the attacker had managed to enter the government office, he might have killed many more people. Mohammad Qasim told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named from his hospital bed that he went to the office to receive his national identity card, which is issued at age 18. "I was in a very happy mood today. I told my family and friends that I would receive my national identity card, but I didn't know that I would become the target of a bombing," said Qasim, who had bandages on both legs. Shortly after the attack, a front man for the holy warrior Jamaat-ul-Ahrar group grabbed credit for the bombing, calling it a "noble act to punish NADRA because it extends support to security forces." The front man, Ahsanullah Ahsan, spoke to the AP by phone from Jamaat-ul-Ahrar split from the Pak Taliban two years ago. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Suicide bombers kill 14 people outside Pakistani churches |
2015-03-15 |
![]() kaboom!themselves near two churches in the eastern city of Lahore on Sunday as worshippers were gathered inside, killing 14 people, officials said, in the latest attack against religious minorities in the increasingly fractured country. "...and I hate the men of Shia," said Mahbub Ali. In the tense aftermath, angry mobs lashed out at people they suspected of involvement in the attacks -- including one person who was burned to death -- and Christian crowds set fire to cars in a show of defiance in the country's second largest city and the prime minister's seat of power. There doesn't seem to be much that doesn't raise angry mobs in Pakistain, but if there's anything that's a valid excuse it's kabooming a church. It's nice to see the Christians standing up for themselves against the bully boyz. Of course it'll be them that are rounded up, tossed into jug, and hung. Life in Pakistain is increasingly fraught with danger for religious minorities, especially Christians. All the Jews have been used up. They have been targeted by turban Sunni Moslem turbans who object to their faith. ...or any faith that's not their faith and their interpretation of it. They are also discriminated against in the wider society where they can often only get menial jobs like garbage collection, and are frequently targets of blasphemy accusations. They're trying to describe an area (it's not a country, despite having a government) that worships a book as an idol. The kabooms occurred in quick succession in the Christian neighborhood of Youhana Abad at two churches while parishioners were celebrating Sunday morning services inside. The churches are about 600 meters (650 yards) apart. The "Taliban" that claimed the glory for this act would be to consolidated Taliban that consists of the original and its branches, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Lashkar-e-Islam, Jamaatul-Arar, and probably the Purple Gang and the Tatagias. We only occasionally see the term "al-Qaeda in Pakistain." The target is so "Lashkar-e-Jhangvi," as Jen Psaki would say should the words ever cross her lips, that they might as well have left calling cards and glossy 8x10 photos. At least 70 people were maimed, said Zahid Pervez, the provincial director general of health, who gave the corpse count. Why just boom a church? You can wait until Sunday, when it's a crowded church. One unidentified witness told Pakistain's Geo television that the main gate to one of the churches targeted was closed so people were using a smaller gate. Which was conveniently left unlocked. "One bomber went kaboom!himself near that gate, that created chaos and during the course there was another blast," he said. Had the church doors locked for safety, did they? And I'll bet that there were government guards on duty because as the Pak government so piously stated last time, security for Christians has been "heightened" and by now may be "fool-proof." In the aftermath of the blasts the mood quickly turned violent. Grandma murdered by an exploding guy in a turban? That'd cheese anybody off. The Pope would be pissed. Much of the country is on edge after years of krazed killer violence including an attack on a Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. school in December that killed 150 people -- mostly students. Kiddies are near on as easy to kill as grandmas. Local television footage showed an angry crowd beating a person they thought was connected to the attack, while others attacked buses in the city. The crowds burned to death one person they believed was involved in the attack and tried to lynch another, said Haider Ashraf, deputy inspector general for Lahore. [Yawn!] Two police who were protecting the churches were also killed in the kabooms, which he confirmed were caused by suicide bombers. Two of them? How fool-proof can you get? A front man for the Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard 2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers 3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... province government condemned the attacks but also said it was unfortunate that the mob had attacked suspects. If there's no government justice you get vigilante justice. He said [Uncontrollable laughter] Militants appear to be targeting minorities more intensively recently, including attacks on a string of mosques belonging to members of the Shiite Moslem minority sect. In 2013, twin blasts at a church in Peshawar killed 85 people. They're all hanging separately. Neither the Shiites nor the Ahmadis nor the Barelvis came out to string guys with turbans up from lamp posts. "There will be more of such attacks," warned Ahsanullah Ahsan, a front man for the Taliban faction that grabbed credit for the assault, in a statement emailed to news hounds. We coulda written this entire article from memory, with the exception of the Christians lynching a few of their tormentors. |

Taliban committee terms attacks a conspiracy to derail talks |
2014-03-16 |
[Pak Daily Times] The Taliban negotiators said on Friday the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) leadership was ready to hold direct talks with the government and condemned Friday's terrorist attacks in Quetta and Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. , calling them a conspiracy to derail the grinding of the peace processor, media reports said. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central... earlier Friday. An increasingly active Taliban splinter group Ahrarul Hind or "Liberators of India" -- a name referring to the whole of the subcontinent -- grabbed credit for the attacks. "We claim both Peshawar and Quetta attacks," their chief, Umar Qasmi, told Rooters. "We don't abide by these talks and will continue to stage attacks." The leadership of the Pak Taliban immediately distanced itself from the Friday attacks. "The TTP strongly condemns the Peshawar and Quetta blasts," said TTP front man Shahidullah Shahid. "We have no connection to these attacks because we are observing a ceasefire." Following a meeting of two members of the Taliban's negotiating committee with Taliban Shura, Maulana Samiul Haq ...the Godfather of the Taliban, leader of his own faction of the JUI. Known as Mullah Sandwichfor his habit of having two young boys at a time... , head of the committee nominated by the TTP, expressed hope for full restoration of peace in the country. The Haqqani network has established a ministatein centered on the town with courts, tax offices and lots of madrassas... , the main town of troubled North ![]() there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... the Taliban leadership apprised their nominated negotiators of their reservations. Responding to Maulana Samiul Haq's request of further extending the month-long ceasefire, Taliban leaders told the negotiators that a final decision in this regard would be made after a formal meeting of the Shura in coming days. Speaking to media representatives in Akora Khattak, Haq said both members of the Taliban talks committee came back satisfied after the meeting. "The meeting (direct talks) is expected in a couple of days with the newly formed government committee," he said. "We will facilitate the direct talks ... and results will be presented before parliament also." The chief of his own faction of Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam ...the political wing of the Pak Taliban... (JUI-S), who is also known as "Father of Taliban" in the West, said their first priority will be to get freed imprisoned children and women as demanded by the Taliban leadership. He showed optimism regarding positive outcome of the direct talks saying members of the new government committee are experienced with regards to the tribal areas. "Today's incidents in Quetta and Peshawar are part of a conspiracy being hatched to derail the grinding of the peace processor," said the JUI-S chief. He said surgical operations conducted by the country's armed forces had failed to obtain desired results in the past and only ended up in spreading havoc in the tribal areas. The TTP's position has spurred speculation that the central command is not fully in control of the many splinter groups operating under it, and reaching a peace deal with one of them would not stop the violence. Ahrarul Hind, which splintered from the Pak Taliban just a month ago, had previously grabbed credit for an attack in central Islamabad earlier this month when jacket wallahs and gunnies killed 11 people including an additional district and sessions judge. Pak Sherlocks believe that Qasmi, the leader of the group, is capable of drawing support from other hard boy outfits, including several linked to al Qaeda that have wreaked bloody havoc in the country over the last decade. |

"This is a cowardly act," Aslam told local television. "I'm not scared. I will not spare them." The eight people killed included six policemen guarding Aslam's house as well as a schoolteacher and her son who were passing by, said Karachi police chief Saud Mirza. He estimated that at least 300 kg of explosives were used in the attack. The death toll could have been even worse if it had happened a few minutes later when many children would have been headed to schools located near Aslam's house in the Defense neighborhood of Karachi, an upscale residential area that rarely experiences militant attacks or other forms of violence that plague the city. "Thank God it was half an hour before school time," said former Pakistani cricket team captain Moin Khan, who passed by the site of the attack shortly after the blast. "It was horrible. I saw four bodies," said Khan. "Broken pieces of vehicles were scattered more than 100 feet." Local television footage showed extensive damage from the blast. The fronts of several two-story concrete buildings were totally blown away. Rubble littered the streets amid the burned wreckage of cars hit by the explosion. Aslam is a top police officer in the Crime Investigation Department, which works to arrest Taleban fighters and other militants in Karachi. Pakistani Taleban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan claimed responsibility for Monday's attack. "We will continue targeting all such officers who are involved in the killing of our comrades," Ahsan told The Associated Press.

Naval air base siege ends
2011-05-24 | |||||||
The terrorists, who laid siege to the naval base, fought a pitched gunbattle with the security forces that started after 10:30 pm on Sunday and continued until mid-Monday. The attackers also destroyed two US-built P-3C Orion aircraft worth $36 million each and set off explosions in some sensitive depots inside the base from which smoke billowed up the whole Sunday night. "We have cleared the base. The operation is over and the base is now under our control," Pakistan Navy's spokesman Commodore Irfanul Haq said. According to Interior Minister Rehman Malik, four to six Taliban terrorists, aging between 22 to 25 years, had entered the naval air base in Karachi on Sunday night from three points using two ladders and cutters.
Malik said the terrorists triggered a series of explosions and destroyed two surveillance aircraft P-3C Orion. Commodore Haq said the attackers, who climbed over the wall into the base, had besieged the base's hangar areas where naval jets were parked, adding that naval commandos managed to save other aircraft parked there. Ten security personnel, including one navy officer, three navy firemen, three navy commandos, a sailor and two paramilitary soldiers, embraced martyrdom, Malik told a press briefing at the Sindh Chief Minister's House on Monday after the operation.
Banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed the responsibility for the attack. "It was revenge for the May 2 American raid that killed al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden," Taliban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan told a foreign news agency by telephone from an undisclosed location. Police surgeon Hamid Pedhiar, who carried out autopsies on the four terrorists' bodies, said the bodies of two attackers, who detonated their suicide vests, were mutilated and beyond identification.

Pakistan bomb attack 'revenge for Bin Laden |
2011-05-13 |
The Pakistani Taliban said today it carried out the twin blasts at a Frontier Corps training centre that killed at least 69 people, nearly all of them recruits, to avenge the killing of Osama bin Laden. The attack is the bloodiest in Pakistan since the US raid that killed the al-Qa'ida chief on 2 May. Ahsanullah Ahsan, a spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban, told The Associated Press in a phone call that its fighters conducted the attack on the Frontier Constabulary in Shabqadar in retaliation for Bin Laden's death. A suicide bomber detonated at least one of the blasts at the main gate of the centre for the Frontier Constabulary, a poorly equipped, but front-line force in Pakistan's battle against al-Qa'ida and allied Islamist groups close to the Afghan border. Like other branches of Pakistan security forces, it has received US funding. Dozens of people were wounded, said police official Nisar Khan. He said a suicide bomber, a man in his late teens or early 20s, set off one blast. Many recruits were boarding vehicles to go home for a short break at the end of a recent training session. A vegetable seller at the site said some recruits were sitting in white minivans and others were loading luggage on top of the vehicles. "There was a big blast," he said. "I saw smoke, blood and body pieces all around." |

![]() The kaboom also damaged nearby buildings. An office of the Pakistain International Airlines (PIA) and a local gas station were severely damaged in the blast, AP reported. Police said the attack took place close to the office of a "sensitive" security agency but the building was undamaged, the AP report said. Senior government official Naseem Sadiq said explosives were planted in a vehicle parked at the gas station, which also lies near police offices as well as the PIA building. Regional police chief Aftab Cheema confirmed the attack in Faisalabad, the country's textile-making capital. "It was a car boom blast. The explosive was planted in a car. We are investigating whether a jacket wallah was involved or not," Cheema said. Television pictures showed the station had been reduced to a pile of bricks and gnarled metal as rescue officials worked to remove rubble from the scene to search for survivors and ambulance vehicles ferried the injured away. City commissioner Tahir Husain told a private television channel that rescue officials were heaving bricks and metal away to save those trapped. "There are some people trapped under the building rubble. We have deployed our cranes and machinery to rescue them very soon," he added. Husain told a private television channel that no suicide kaboomer was involved. "It was not a suicide kaboom. It was a planted kaboom. The bomb went kaboom!near the gas cylinders that triggered a bigger blast," he said. Husain said that the attack could have targeted government buildings close to the gas station site, some of which he said were damaged in the blast. Taliban claim responsibility The Pak Taliban said they carried out the car booming, an AP report said. Taliban front man Ahsanullah Ahsan said the target of the blast was an office of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Ahsan said the blast was Dire RevengeĀ for the killing of a Death Eater by security forces in Faisalabad last year. Pakistain has been wracked by violence, mostly targeting security officials. [Pak Daily Times] ![]() "The minion of Evil rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the rear wall of the cop shoppe at 7am, which was reportedly housing an estimated 40 to 50 coppers at the time, resulting in killing 19 people and maiming 34 others," Lakki Marwat District Coordination Officer (DCO) Ayaz Mandokhel told Daily Times. The DCO said the attacker chose the rear wall of the police station as the target because the front and sidewalls were heavily guarded and two trenches had been dug on either sides of the post to save it from a possible terrorist attack. Mandokhel said that recently, security forces had killed a Taliban commander in the area and the Taliban had issued a warning to the local police that they would soon take Dire Revenge™ for the death of their companion. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistain grabbed credit for the attack and warned the government not to use lashkars to fight the group.
