Palestinians suggest panel to push reconciliation, but not accepted
2023-07-31
[IsraelTimes] Rival Paleostinian politicians meeting in Egypt have decided to form a committee on intra-Paleostinian reconciliation, a move that one analyst doubted would end their 17-year rift.

In a statement, Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....

""We must return to a single state, a single system, a single law and a single legitimate army," Abbas says

The Hamas leader says "a new, inclusive parliament must be formed on the basis of free democratic elections."

Paleostinian political scientist Moukhaimer Abu Saada tells AFP that the formation of the committee was no cause for celebration.

NIA puts up posters in Kashmir seeking information about 4 militants

[Daily Excelsior] The National Investigation Agency has put up posters in many parts of Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. , officials said on Saturday.

The four Death Eaters, including two Pak nationals, are wanted by the NIA in connection with a conspiracy to radicalise, motivate and recruit youths of Jammu and Kashmir to carry out violence in India. The probe agency has already announced a cash reward of Rupees 10 lakh for each of the four Death Eaters.

Officials said the posters seek information about Pak nationals Saleem Rehmani alias ’Abu Saad’ of Nawab Shah, Sindh, and Saifullah Sajid Jatt of Shangamanga in Kasur, and their local associates Sajjad Gul of Srinagar and Basit Ahmad Dar of Redwani Payeen in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The NIA has given its email address, phone numbers and WhatsApp and Telegram numbers as well for the public to share the information. It has assured people that the identity of the informer shall be kept secret.

-ruling Paleostinian terror group Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, is reviving relations with the Iran-backed regime in Damascus after a decade-long rupture sparked by the outbreak of Syria’s bloody civil war.

Analysts say the shift pushes Hamas deeper into the fold of the Iran-led "axis of resistance" against Israel that includes Syria as well as Lebanon Hezbollahstan

. Israel, along with Egypt, maintains a blockade on Gaza that it says is necessary to prevent weapons from reaching Hamas and other armed factions.

The terror group last month hailed its newly warming ties with the Syrian regime of Bashir al-Assad as "a service to the (Paleostinian) nation" whose people also live under Israeli rule in the West Bank.

Hamas cited the "rapid regional and international developments surrounding our cause and our nation" — without directly referring to Israel’s restored ties with Turkey and relations with several Arab nations.

The shift comes as Syria’s ally Iran, now hit by a wave of protests, is sharply at odds with Western and some regional powers, especially over its nuclear program, which Israel sees as an existential threat.

IRAN-LED ‘AXIS’
The leadership of Hamas, which has ruled the poverty-stricken enclave of Gaza since 2007, has long been based abroad as Israel’s military has repeatedly struck targets in the territory during fighting with the terror group.

Hamas had its headquarters in Damascus but closed them in 2012 after the terror group, which emerged from the Moslem Brüderbund movement, sided with the opposition against Assad.

Its leaders then moved to the Gulf state of Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. and to Turkey, which had cut ties with Israel over a deadly Israeli commando raid on a Ottoman Turkish aid ship that had tried to breach the Gaza sea blockade.

The Hamas delegation expected in Damascus next week is to be headed by Khalil al-Hayya, its head of Arab relations, said Khaled Abdel Majid, head of the Paleostinian Popular Struggle Front, a group close to the Syrian regime.

Hamas’s decision to ally again with Damascus follows numerous visits by its officials to Syria, both "secret and public," a senior Hamas source told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Those meetings were mediated by Iran

and Hezbollah, which have both fought on Assad’s side in the civil war, the source said.

All this reflects Iran’s wish to bolster the "axis of resistance" which also includes the terror group Paleostinian Islamic Jihad

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. , said Mukhaimer Abu Saada, a political science professor at Gaza’s al-Azhar University.

As Iran’s talks to restore its frayed 2015 nuclear deal with major powers have faltered, it has turned closer to Russia, which is also facing deepening international isolation over its war in Ukraine.

Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, based in Qatar, last month traveled to Moscow and met Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

‘A MORAL SIN’
As the terror group returns to Syria, the senior Hamas source told AFP, it plans to "open a representative office in Damascus soon, as a first step towards the return of normal relations."

The former political chief of Hamas, Khaled Mashal, once enjoyed rare privileges in Damascus and had a personal relationship with Assad.

However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
it remains unlikely the Syrian regime will allow Hamas to rebuild a foothold that has "the weight it had a decade ago," said Jamal al-Fadi, also a politics professor at al-Azhar.

The Hamas leadership may also be wary of spending too much time in Syria, given that Israel regularly launches Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on the country, mainly targeting pro-Iranian fighters.

"Hamas’s relationship with Syria at the moment will be subject to difficult security considerations," said Fadi. "It exposes its leaders and its activist muppets to the dangers of being easily targeted by Israel."

The budding Hamas-Syrian ties have exposed rifts within the Islamic movement.

Saleh al-Naami, a politics professor at the Islamic University of Gaza who is close to Hamas, described the deal with Damascus as a "moral sin."

"It also does not reflect the base of the movement and of the vast majority of its (political) elite," he wrote on Twitter.

However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
the head of Hamas’s political committee, Bassem Naim, said the decision followed years of regional and international discussions.

"In the end, Hamas went with the majority opinion on the resumption of the relationship with Syria," said Naim. "There is no choice but for Hamas to be at the center of the resistance axis."

The ISIS leader, known as Abu Saad al-Samin, was killed near Lake Hamrin in Diyala province, the cell said in a statement on Telegram.

According to the cell, counter terror forces had been following the movements of Samin for some time.

Kurdish and Iraqi forces arrested more than a dozen suspected ISIS members, including leaders, in raids across the country earlier this month.

Scores of ISIS suspects have been arrested in Iraq in recent months. The "Emir of Baghdad" was picked up in Baghdad in July, five ISIS suspects were arrested planning an attack on Erbil in the same month, and in April, 22 ISIS suspects were arrested in Sulaimani.

Kurds Say 53 ISIS Members Arrested in Syria's Al-Hole Camp
2021-03-31
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Kurdish forces said Tuesday they had arrested 53 suspected ISIS group members in a northeast Syria camp for relatives of turbans, in an anti-ISIS security operation.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the launch Sunday of the sweep in al-Hol camp, which has been rocked by liquidations and breakout attempts.

Kurdish authorities have warned that the settlement, home to almost 62,000 people, is turning into an turban powder keg because of ISIS members hiding out among camp residents.

The Kurds' Asayish security forces said they had "detained 53 ISIS members, including five leaders of ISIS sleeper cells that carried out violent mostly peaceful terrorist attacks in the camp".

They had also "confiscated mobile phones as well as several laptops", the SDF-allied police unit added.

Heavily-armed Kurdish forces stood guard outside the camp as others stormed suspected hideouts inside the vast settlement, an AFP news hound said.

In some sections, residents stood outside their tents watching the anti-terrorist squad scour the area.

Al-Hol is the larger of two Kurdish-run displacement camps for relatives of ISIS hard boyz in Syria's northeast.

It holds mostly Syrians and Iraqis but also thousands from Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and Asia suspected of family ties with ISIS fighters.

Many residents see the camp as the last vestige of the ISIS proto-state that the hard boyz declared in 2014 across large swathes of both Syria and Iraq.

Kurdish authorities have recorded more than 40 murders in al-Hol since the start of this year.

They say ISIS sympathizers are behind most of the murders, while humanitarian aid sources have said tribal disputes could be behind some of the killings.

Simand Ali, a Kurdish official, told AFP hard boyz had dug trenches in al-Hol that they used to hide prohibited electronic devices and other goods.

Those detained so far have mostly been Syrians and Iraqis, he said.
Al Masdar adds:
The Asayish said, in a statement about the results of the first days of the campaign it launched at dawn on Monday, that it had arrested Abu Saad al-Iraqi, whom it described as one of the leaders of ISIS, and that he worked for a long time to recruit people for the organization.

Syrian Army kills Maldivi rebel commander in west Damascus
2017-12-25
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army killed a prominent field commander for the al Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
(HTS) during the last festivities in the Beit Jinn pocket bordering Israel.

Abu Saad al-Maldifi is from the Maldives and is one of many foreign HTS fighters originating from different parts of Asia currently fighting in Beit Jinn.

The Damascus government has long accused Israel of harboring and supporting bandidos Lions of Islam in their war against the Syrian state whether through medical, aerial, or logistic support.

It remains unknown whether the foreign jihadists made it their way to southern Syria through Israel or Jordan, but the Syrian government is determined to expel the radical militancy’s presence from the Golan Heights positioned on Israel’s borders.

Idlib: massing ex-ISIS and a mysterious assassination

Former ISIS militants mass in Idlib to slip across the border into Turkey

In recent months, HTS has cracked down on ISIS sleeper cells and rival rebel groups. Effectively, many former ISIS members no longer feel safe in Idlib province.

ISIS has not had an organised presence in the governorate since early 2014 when it was ousted by a rebel assault that saw its members flee to eastern and northern Syria.

Senior jihadi commander assassinated in Syria’s Idlib

[AlMasdar] A high-ranking commander of the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham was mysteriously assassinated in the northwestern province of Idlib as tensions rise amongst the jihadi group.

Abu Mohammed al-Sharie, a Saudi national who holds a senior position in HTS, was left dead with a bullet in his head in the city of Saraqib, located to the east of the historic provincial capital.

This comes two days after the notorious Saudi holy man Abdullah al-Muhaysini resigned as the group’s religious judge, citing transgressions against its Shariah Committee and his being unable to change "errors" he witnessed and bloodshed and infighting.

Following the resignation, several factions affiliated with the al-Qaeda-linked organization defected, marking a mass blow to what is widely considered the strongest and most well-organized rebel group in the war-torn Syria.

Massive hunt against JeM in South Kashmir
2017-08-28
[Daily Excelsior] The Saturday’s deadly strike by Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
(JeM) in South Kashmire comes as a surprise for the security forces who had wiped out the outfit from the area two years ago by killing its two top commanders in Tral, Pulwama.

The attack on District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama is first strike by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in South Kashmire that led to killing of eight security force personnel.

The attack comes at time when security forces achieved major successes against forces of Evil this year especially in South Kashmire. This year security forces killed 136 forces of Evil so far after they launched major offensive against them especially in the last two months.

Sources said that security agencies had inputs about a possible strike in South Kashmire. They said that the group was intending to target the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama but heightened security prevented the strike there.

They said that the fidayeen forced their entry into the DPL Pulwama by cutting the wire and jumping over the fence. They said that the proposed visit of former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah prevented the further casualties. "As Omar was to visit Shopian, the police men who normally get ready for deployments by 5 am were ready on Saturday one hour ahead of the schedule, at the same time when the fidaydeen struck", they said.

Sources said that after entering the DPL, the fidayeen rushed towards the SOG camp inside the complex but alert guards fired at them forcing them to enter the residential block where they were neutralized after day long shootout.

Sources said that the group recently infiltrated into Kashmire from Poonch side and comprised 5 members including 3 fidayeen of Afzal Guru Squad. The squad had earlier carried attacks in North Kashmire near the LoC in Tanghdar and this is first strike of the JeM in South Kashmire.

JeM was trying to set up base in South Kashmire and its two senior commanders, Adil Pathan and Burme stayed in South Kashmire for two years but failed to get any foothold before they were killed in Tral on October 8, 2015.

Security forces had launched hunt against the two members of the JeM who were part of the fidayeen squad and are looking for the locals who have provided them logistics to carry out the attack.

In the meantime, police today indentified the three fidayeen as Dawood, Abu Bakar and Abu Saad, all Pak nationals. Three AK-47 rifles, six magazines and one UBGL was recovered from the encounter site.

In the meantime, at Pattan in North Kashmire, large number of people joined the CRPF in the last rites of a CRPF man, Mohammad Yaseen Teli, killed in fidayeen attack at Pulwama. The cop had received Gallantry award on last Independence Day for his extraordinary role in counter-insurgency operation at Nowhatta on August 15, 2016.
