Al-Qassam Brigades announce operation in Beit Hanoun
2025-07-09 | |
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The complex operation in Beit Hanoun, which targeted an area the occupation forces believed to be empty after completely leveling it, dealt a significant blow to the prestige of the Israeli military, said Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas![]() In a statement published on Telegram on Tuesday, Abu Obeida added that the war of attrition being waged by Resistance® fighters across the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... Strip, from north to south, continues to inflict daily losses on the Israeli occupation. ''Our fighters launched their attack from the very ruins the occupation believed were devoid of life,'' Abu Obeida stated, adding, ''The war of attrition our fighters are fighting across the entire Gaza Strip, from the North to the South, will continue to cost the enemy more losses by the day.'' He also warned that even if the occupation previously managed to extract its soldiers from what he described as ''the inferno'', it would not succeed again, alluding to the potential for more Israeli soldiers to be captured in future confrontations.
[IsraelTimes] The military is surrounding Beit Hanoun "from all directions," IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said in a presser on Tuesday after five troops were killed in an ambush in the northern Gaza town Monday night. "Beit Hanoun is a fortified area, where dozens of turbans still remain. There are still many underground tunnels that we must demolish," said Defrin. "We will continue to attack and clear the area to remove the threat to the residents of the western Negev," he said, noting that Beit Hanoun overlooks several border towns, including Sderot, as well as a train line. IDF probe: 3 bombs were remotely detonated in deadly northern Gaza ambush last night [IsraelTimes] Three explosive devices were remotely detonated in succession against troops in the deadly ambush last night in northern Gaza’s Beit Hanoun, according to a military probe. Five soldiers were killed and 14 were wounded in the attack, which took place around 1.5 kilometers from the Israeli border. According to the IDF’s investigation, most troops were hurt by the first and second bombs, which were detonated within a few moments of each other. The first bomb hit several soldiers, and the troops that rushed to help them were hit by the second bomb. As the third bomb was detonated, a cell of Hamas operatives opened fire with light arms on the Israeli troops. The military believes the bombs, rigged up to remote detonators, were planted by the Hamas cell during the previous 24 hours. Following the attack, the IDF dispatched Israeli Air Force drones, helicopters, and fighter jets to the area to prevent any potential attempts by Hamas to abduct the soldiers. Within an hour and a half, the incident was considered over, according to the military. The military believes that dozens of Hamas operatives remain holed up in Beit Hanoun, mostly deep underground in the terror group’s tunnels. The offensive in the northern Gaza town is intended to clear it of these remaining Hamas operatives, the IDF says. Captors said to have hidden Edan Alexander in a donkey-pulled cart while moving him |
2025-05-17 |
[IsraelTimes) Former American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander’s family posts a photo of him relaxing at home with his two siblings in what is his first weekend since he was released from captivity on Monday. Meanwhile, Channel 12 reveals new details about his captivity, citing what Alexander has shared with family members since his return. “The first year was hell,” Alexander has said. He has also reportedly told relatives that his conditions improved when Donald Trump was elected president, as his captors recognized that he was “worth” more. But before that, he at one point lost roughly 44 pounds. He was moved repeatedly throughout his captivity, spending time in tunnels, apartments, mosques and tents for displaced Gazans. In the latter, conditions were particularly bad and he drank sea water and dirty bread. His captors once moved him by hiding him in a donkey-pulled cart. His face was covered and his captor was dressed as a woman, Channel 12 reports. US intelligence helped the IDF free four hostages but floating pier not involved, IDF sez no other hostages harmed

[Regnum] Before the IDF special operation in the Nuseirat area, the United States provided Israel with intelligence information about hostages being held in the Gaza Strip, The New York Times reported on June 8. “A U.S. hostage rescue team stationed in Israel assisted the Israeli military in its efforts to rescue the four hostages by providing intelligence and other logistical support,” the article wrote. The authors noted that groups of specialists from the United States and Great Britain are located on Israeli territory during the military conflict and help the intelligence of the Jewish state in collecting and analyzing information about the hostages, as well as about high-ranking representatives of the Palestinian Hamas movement. According to one Israeli official, the US and Britain can help with intelligence from the air and cyberspace, since Israel cannot do this on its own. As Regnum reported, on June 8, the official representative of the militant wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaydah, informed about the death of several hostages held in the Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli operation in the refugee camp in Nuseirat. After that, the release of those held "will create a danger for the remaining" hostages and will have a negative impact on their conditions and lives, he added. On the same day, the Israeli army announced the release of four hostages who had been held by Hamas since October 7, 2023. The operation was carried out in the central part of the Gaza Strip. All those released were taken to a medical facility in the suburbs of Tel Aviv. Among them is 27-year-old citizen of Russia and Israel Andrei Kozlov. The US House of Representatives on April 20 passed a bill to allocate $95 billion in military aid to Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine. According to the document, the Jewish state will receive $26 billion from the United States, including about 9.1 billion for humanitarian needs. The US decision to provide new military aid to Israel is aggression against the Palestinians, said Nabil Abu Rudeina, spokeswoman for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. "The humanitarian pier facility, including its equipment, personnel, and assets were not used in the operation to rescue hostages today in Gaza. An area south of the facility was used by the Israelis to safely return the hostages to Israel," CENTCOM says in a statement on X. "Any such claim to the contrary is false. The temporary pier on the coast of Gaza was put in place for one purpose only, to help move additional, urgently needed lifesaving assistance into Gaza." The statement comes as the US resumed aid deliveries via the temporary pier yesterday, after the structure suffered storm damage and underwent repairs in a nearby port. "Today at approximately 10:30 am (Gaza time) US Central Command (USCENTCOM) began delivery of humanitarian assistance ashore in Gaza. Today, a total of approximately 492 metric tons (~1.1 million pounds) of much needed humanitarian assistance was delivered to the people of Gaza," CENTCOM writes in a separate post on X. The pier was repaired in the Israeli port of Ashdod before being brought back to the Gaza coast and reestablished on Friday. ‘Blatant lie’: IDF dismisses Hamas claim that other hostages were killed in today’s rescue [IsraelTimes] An Israeli army front man denies a claim by Hamas front man Abu Obaida that some Israeli hostages were killed during the IDF’s rescue operation of four hostages late this morning.
