Citing intelligence sources, Zagazola said the damaging airstrikes were carried out on January 2, 2023 at Kwatan Dilla, in the Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State.

Taliban Member Gunfire Kills and Injures 2 Girls in Northwestern Afghanistan

According to the source, the Taliban member shootings killed the girl in the Qadis district of Badghis province on Tuesday afternoon.

Local Taliban administration officials confirmed the shooting of the Taliban member and its aftermath while claiming that it occurred "by mistake."

The front man for the Taliban governor in Badghis province, Ahmad Jan Hanzala, said that a mistaken, careless, stray shot by one of the Taliban military forces killed a girl named Fatema and injured another girl named Shaima.

The health authorities at the Badghis Provincial Hospital also report the transfer of a girl’s body and the injury of another girl to their facility, stating that the injured girl was hit in the abdomen and is in good condition.

The fact that similar situations have happened before should be highlighted. The Taliban government forces have been criticized for irresponsible gun use in some of these incidents.

A grenade belonging to Taliban members accidentally went kaboom! in the Faryab province of northern Afghanistan last month, killing one person and injuring four others, including women and kiddies.

Two Taliban men were on a cycle of violence when the grenade pin accidentally slipped out, forcing them to throw the grenade away, said a source who spoke with the media.

Previously, the Taliban members also "accidentally" killed a woman in the Abshar district of Panjshir province in northern Afghanistan. The Taliban local authorities attributed the incident to human error.

Lashkar's plot to kill Hindu leaders, journalists: 3 operatives sentenced to 10 years in jail

[ONEINDIA] A special court of the National Investigation Agency has convicted and sentenced three Lashkar-e-Tayiba operatives to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in connection with the Nanded Lashkar case.

Those convicted are Mohammad Muzammil, Mohammad Sadiq and Mohammad Akram.

ANDSF freed captured security personnel, repelled Taliban attacks

Taliban attacks on six districts of Badakhshan were rebuffed by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces on Sunday night.

Local officials told the media that the Taliban launched its offensive in collaboration with foreign "terrorists" in Darayim, Khash, Jurm, Yaftal-e-Payan, Warduj, and Raghistan districts of the region.

Identities of the foreign snuffies were not disclosed, but preliminary reports show that more than 10 turbans were killed and maimed during the ANDSF retaliations.

There are no reports of ANDSF casualties.

Taliban did not comment on the incident.

NDS Special Forces foil suicide attack in Mazar-e Sharif city aimed at assassinating Gen. Malik

Key Taliban group commander Mullah Ghazali dies of wounds in Farah

Mullah Ghazali died of his wounds in western Farah province of Afghanistan.

The Provincial Police Headquarters in a statement said Mullah Ghazali sustained injuries during a clash with the security forces few days earlier.

The statement further added that the security forces maimed 2 Talibs during a separate clash in Nangab Village located in the outskirts of Farah city.

Furthermore, the Provincial Police Headquarters said the two gunnies were key members of Mullah Salam Hanzala, one of the group leaders of Taliban in Farah.

The Provincial Police Headquarters also added that the security forces and local residents did not suffer casualties during the clash.

The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.

Turkey arrests scores of ISIS suspects in country-wide counter-terror raids

[RUDAW.NET] An estimated 190 suspects linked to ISIS have been arrested across Turkey in June alone, according to state-run Anadolu Agency, citing security officials.

Twenty of 188 suspects, including foreigners, were remanded in custody to be tried on various charges.

Some planned attacks were foiled during counter-terrorism raids across the country's population centres of Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, and Gaziantep, the agency added.

On June 19, a Turkish court sentenced two Iraqi nationals for links with ISIS, according to a police source.

Four Azerbaijani nationals and one Bosnian were arrested on June 15 while trying to cross into Turkey from war-torn Syria.

The bulk of the detainees were wanted by Interpol.

In the course of Turkish security operations, a senior ISIS member named Abu Hanzala was arrested.

Weapons, documents, and ammunition were also seized during the raids.
