‘Lies’: Israel denounces Amnesty charge that aid system uses starvation in Gaza genocide |
2025-07-04 |
[IsraelTimes] UK human rights group says Israel creating ‘deadly mix of hunger and disease’; Israeli Foreign Ministry responds: Amnesty joining forces with Hamas Amnesty International issued a report Thursday claiming it had evidence that a controversial Israeli- and US-backed system to distribute aid in Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... uses starvation tactics against Paleostinians to continue to commit what it called genocide in the Gaza Strip during Israel’s war with the Hamas ![]() terror group. Israel responded by saying the group had adopted Hamas lies as its narrative. The UK-based human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... group condemned Israel and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which the US and Israel have backed to take over aid distribution in Gaza from a network led by the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... "Israel’s genocide has continued unabated in Gaza, including through the infliction of conditions of life that have created a deadly mix of hunger and disease pushing the population past breaking point, said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty’s secretary general, said in the report. The Foreign Ministry denounced the Amnesty report, saying the organization has "joined forces with Hamas and fully adopted all of its propaganda lies." "Its new name now is ’Amnesty Hamas,'" the ministry said. At the same time, the UN Special Rapporteur for the Paleostinian territories — who has been condemned by Israel and the US for antisemitism — urged an international arms embargo on Israel for what she alleged is "genocide" in the Gaza Strip. Gaza’s Hamas-controlled Health Ministry says more than 500 Paleostinians have been killed at or near GHF distribution centers over the past month. The figures cannot be verified and do not distinguish between civilians and combatants. The centers are guarded by private security contractors and located near Israeli military positions. Paleostinian officials and witnesses have accused Israeli forces of opening fire at crowds of people moving near the sites. The Amnesty report said Israel has "turned aid-seeking into a booby trap for desperate starved Paleostinians" through GHF’s militarized hubs. The conditions have created "a deadly mix of hunger and disease pushing the population past breaking point." "This devastating daily loss of life as desperate Paleostinians try to collect aid is the consequence of their deliberate targeting by Israeli forces and the foreseeable consequence of irresponsible and lethal methods of distribution," Callamard said. ISRAEL REJECTS CLAIMS The Israeli army says it has fired warning shots to control crowds and only fires at people it says are acting suspiciously. The Foreign Ministry and COGAT, the Israeli defense body in charge of coordinating aid to Gaza, said Israel has facilitated the entry of over 3,000 aid trucks into the Gaza Strip since May 19 and the GHF has delivered boxes of food with the equivalent of 56 million meals. UN EXPERT URGES ARMS EMBARGO In a speech to the UN Human Rights Council, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Paleostinian Territories Francesca Albanese said: "The situation in the occupied Paleostinian territory is apocalyptic." "Israel is responsible for one of the cruelest genocides in modern history," she added, in a speech that was met with a burst of applause from the Geneva council. Israel’s delegate was not present in the room in line with a new policy to disengage with the council, which Israel says has an antisemitic bias. Israel’s diplomatic mission in Geneva did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Albanese’s speech. The Trump administration has recently asked for the UN to remove Albanese, accusing her of "virulent antisemitism and support for terrorism." Albanese, one of dozens of independent UN-mandated experts to document abuses around the world, was presenting her latest report, which named over 60 companies she said were involved in supporting Israeli settlements in the West Bank and military actions in Gaza. "What I expose is not a list, it is a system, and that is to be addressed," she told the council. "We must reverse the tide," she added, calling for states to impose a full arms embargo, suspend all trade agreements and ensure companies face legal consequences for their involvement in violations of international law. Israel’s diplomatic mission in Geneva earlier this week said Albanese’s latest report was "legally groundless, defamatory and a flagrant abuse of her office." [KhaamaPress] Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneouslytaking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militiasto extend the regime's influence. They hate arrested 50 people in Sistan-Baluchestan over alleged links to Israel and terrorist groups, seizing weapons and intensifying security operations. Iranian authorities have arrested 50 people in the restive province of Sistan and Baluchestan, accusing them of links to Israeli intelligence and terrorist groups, according to a report by the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) on Tuesday, July 1. Officials allege the group was plotting sabotage operations targeting economic and infrastructure assets in southern Iran. The arrests, part of a broader national security operation, reportedly led to the deaths of two individuals during festivities with Iranian security forces. Authorities claim the group had amassed a large cache of weapons, including U.S.-made arms, raising concerns about foreign involvement in domestic unrest. The identities and affiliations of the detainees have not been disclosed in detail, and it remains unclear how many are specifically charged with collaborating with Israel. However, nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits... the Iranian parliament and state media have repeatedly accused foreign intelligence services—particularly Israel’s Mossad ![]() —of backing destabilizing activities in minority-populated regions. Human rights organizations have expressed alarm over the pattern of arrests and executions under vague security-related charges. According to a new report by Hengaw, an independent human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... monitor, at least 26 people were executed in the first half of 2025 for political, religious, or protest-related activities, including alleged espionage for Israel. The report also noted that 29 prisoners died in jug under suspicious conditions during the same period. The Iranian government says it is continuing operations to arrest additional suspects allegedly involved in the recent plot. Critics, however, argue that such crackdowns often target marginalized ethnic groups, particularly the Baloch and Kurdish minorities, under the pretext of combating terrorism. The wave of arrests highlights Iran’s intensifying use of national security narratives to control dissent, especially in provinces marked by economic deprivation and ethnic tensions. International watchdogs, including Amnesty International and the UN Human Rights Council, have consistently urged Tehran to ensure fair trials and transparency in cases involving alleged espionage or terrorism. As Iran’s geopolitical tensions with Israel and Western nations continue to rise, analysts warn that internal repression could deepen. The international community is being called upon to closely monitor Iran’s treatment of detainees and press for accountability in its justice system. Hungarian Parliament Votes to Withdraw Country from ICC |
2025-04-30 |
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. [Regnum] Members of the Hungarian parliament voted for the country's withdrawal from the International Criminal Court (ICC). This was announced on April 29 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. Earlier, he reported that he had submitted a bill to parliament on Hungary's withdrawal from the ICC, a vote on it could take place at the end of May, and the decision would come into force in a year. It is noted that this decision was made in connection with the official visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Budapest. "The Hungarian Parliament has just voted to withdraw from the ICC. By making this decision, we refuse to be part of a politicized institution that has lost its impartiality and authority," diplomat X wrote on social media. On April 3, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that the country was leaving the ICC due to the organization's excessive politicization and loss of independence. As reported by Regnum News Agency, in November 2024, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, stating that the reason was war crimes in the Gaza Strip. It was specified that the Israeli authorities used hunger in waging war, deliberately attacked civilians and did not allow assistance to be provided to victims. Lawfare: ICC Appeals Chamber rules lower court must hear Israel’s challenge to jurisdiction |
2025-04-25 |
[IsraelTimes] Despite a procedural victory for Israel, officials in Jerusalem condemn the fact that court did not cancel the arrest warrants for war crimes charges against Netanyahu and Gallant The Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) unanimously ruled on Thursday to return to a lower chamber Israel’s challenge against the court’s jurisdiction to try Israeli citizens for war crimes, saying an initial decision on the issue had failed to sufficiently address Jerusalem’s arguments that it is entitled to challenge the court’s jurisdiction. In a procedural victory for the Jewish state, the ruling by all five judges upheld Jerusalem’s assertion that it had a right to appeal the jurisdiction issue, but did not deal with the substance of the case. The Appeal Chamber’s language was nevertheless critical of the Pre-Trial Chamber’s failure to consider the merits of Israel’s challenge. The Appeals Chamber said it was not ruling on Israel’s request that arrest warrants issued for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant issued last year for suspected war crimes in Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... be suspended, arguing the issue was not directly connected to the matter of jurisdiction, and saying it was for the Pre-Trial Chamber to determine. An aide to Netanyahu condemned the decision not to suspend the arrest warrants, saying "Israel expects the [ICC] to cancel the warrants immediately." And Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... Danny Danon said the decision to revisit the question of jurisdiction "exposes the lack of legitimacy behind the political arrest warrants." Prof. Yuval Shany of Hebrew University’s Faculty of Law, who filed an amicus brief to the ICC in July last year challenging the court’s jurisdiction, said the Appeal’s Chamber ruling "does not reflect very positively on the Pre-Trial Chamber’s performance." In May 2024, ICC prosecutor Karim Khan announced he was seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant over their conduct of the war against Hamas ![]() in Gaza, on charges of crimes against humanity and other war crimes charges. Specifically, Khan accused the two leaders of "causing extermination," "causing starvation as a method of war including the denial of humanitarian relief supplies," and deliberately targeting civilians in a conflict. Despite challenges filed by Israel and other nations to the prosecutor’s request, including on issues of jurisdiction, the ICC’s Pre-Trial Chamber I rejected those arguments and approved Khan’s request for warrants in November 2024. Israel filed two appeals to that decision in December. One appeal dealt with the jurisdiction issue, with Israel arguing that since the terms of the Oslo Accords signed by Israel and the Paleostinians explicitly deny any Paleostinian entity legal jurisdiction over Israeli nationals, the Paleostinian Authority never had the right to delegate jurisdiction to the ICC in the first place. When the ICC announced an investigation into Israel in 2021, Israel raised this issue and the court ruled it would only decide on "further questions of jurisdiction" if and when the prosecutor filed requests for arrest warrants for Israelis. When ruling on Khan’s request for warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, the court’s Pre-Trial Chamber I asserted it was too early to consider such arguments. But the Appeals Chamber ruled on Thursday that the Pre-Trial Chamber had an obligation to consider the jurisdictional challenge by Israel, pointing out that the 2021 ruling had said explicitly that "issues pertaining to the impact of the Oslo Agreements on the Court’s jurisdiction ’may be raised by interested States...’ at a later stage." The Appeals Chamber added that the lower chamber had therefore "committed an error of law" by failing to sufficiently deal with Israel’s arguments about its right to challenge the court’s jurisdiction. In its second appeal, Israel contended that Khan should have provided new notification to Israel of his investigation into the allegations regarding the prosecution of the war in Gaza, but instead relied on notification issued in 2021 of an investigation the court had initiated at that time. Notification is a fundamental principle of the court, whereby the prosecutor must tell the state in question that it is investigating its citizens to allow that country to conduct its own investigation. In a technical ruling of a three to two majority, the Appeals Chamber ruled that Israel had not had the right to appeal this issue when it did, but may request that the Pre-Trial Chamber grant it permission to appeal, which it has actually done in parallel to the appeal. A aide close to Netanyahu said in a statement to The Times of Israel following the decision that the Appeals Chamber ruling "highlights the injustice done to Prime Minister Netanyahu and the former defense minister, when the Court issued absurd warrants without having the authority to do so." The source added that "Israel expects the [ICC] to cancel the warrants immediately." Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar wrote in a post on X in that "The [ICC] warrants were issued unlawfully. They are null and void," adding that the ICC "doesn’t have, and never had jurisdiction to issue arrest warrants against Israel’s Prime Minister and its former Minister of Defense." Sa’ar said the Appeals Court "instructed the Court today, to do what it should have done from the start: to make a determination with respect to jurisdiction. On this topic, there is only one correct answer: the Court has no jurisdiction over Israel." Danon alleged that the ICC "operates as a political tool serving Israel’s enemies," adding, "When international institutions punish democracies and ignore terrorism, they harm not only Israel but the very values on which the free world is built," in a statement from his office. Trump pulls Stefanik’s nomination for UN envoy due to GOP’s slim House majority |
2025-03-28 |
[IsraelTimes] US president says there ‘are others that can do a good job at the United Nations,’ but doesn’t yet name a replacement for vocally pro-Israel candidate US President Donald Trump ...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party... announced on Thursday that he has pulled his nomination of Elise Stefanik to serve as ambassador in the UN in order for her to remain in the House, where Republicans hold a razor-thin majority. "With a very tight Majority, I don’t want to take a chance on anyone else running for Elise’s seat," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "There are others that can do a good job at the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... . Therefore, Elise will stay in Congress, rejoin the House Leadership Team, and continue to fight for our amazing American People," Trump added. He did not immediately name a replacement for the position. Republicans won both the House and Senate in the November 2024 election that returned Trump to the White House, but they have a very tight lead in the lower chamber. They control the House by 218 seats to 213, giving them just a tiny margin and making it difficult to pass key legislation. Two crucial special elections will be held on April 1 to fill the seats vacated by Mike Waltz, who is now Trump’s national security advisor, and Matt Gaetz, who the president tapped to become attorney general but who backed out of consideration following misconduct allegations. US House Speaker Mike Johnson praised Stefanik on Thursday. "It is well known Republicans have a razor-thin House majority, and Elise’s agreement to withdraw her nomination will allow us to keep one of the toughest, most resolute members of our Conference in place to help drive forward President Trump’s America First policies," he said in a social media post. Stefanik was the last cabinet-level Trump nominee who had not been confirmed. She was approved by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, with some Democratic votes, on January 30 and had been expected to be easily approved by the full Senate Stefanik made headlines in 2023 for her tough questioning of university presidents during a hearing on antisemitism on college campuses. The politician has quickly become a fan-favorite among establishment, pro-Israel groups. At her confirmation hearing in January, Stefanik vowed to use her role to combat "antisemitic rot" at the UN and said that US tax dollars "should not be complicit in propping up entities that are counter to American interests, antisemitic, or engaging in fraud, corruption or terrorism." At the annual Anti-Defamation League summit in New York City earlier this month, she drew applause for her calls to further crack down on campus antisemitism, deport foreign students who engage in antisemitism and support of terror, and pressure the United Nations. She also claimed that the October 7, 2023, invasion of Israel "would never have happened" under Trump, drawing boos from the audience. Trump said in February that the UN has "great potential and... we’ll continue to go along with it, but they got to get their act together." The UN pushed back at the time, saying Secretary-General António Guterres ![]() had worked tirelessly to implement reforms. Since returning to office on January 20, Trump has stopped US engagement with the UN Human Rights Council, extended a halt to funding for the Paleostinian relief agency UNRWA and ordered a review of the UN cultural agency UNESCO. He has also announced US plans to quit the Gay Paree climate deal and the World Health Organization. Hosting Rubio Sunday, Netanyahu says ‘gates of hell will surely open’ if all hostages not freed |
2025-02-17 |
[IsraelTimes] With Trump’s support, PM says, Israel ‘can and will finish the job’ against Iran; Rubio says all hostages must be released – ‘It is not optional’ – and ‘Hamas must be eradicated’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... "are working in full cooperation and coordination" on Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... , the premier said on Sunday alongside US Secretary of State Marco Rubio ...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration... "We have a common strategy and we can’t always share details of this strategy with the public," Netanyahu said, "including when the gates of hell will be open, as they surely will if all our hostages are not released, until the last one of them." Netanyahu made the comments to the press after meeting with Rubio in his office in Jerusalem. Last week, Trump suggested that if all of the hostages were not freed by Hamas ![]() by midday Saturday, the ceasefire should be abandoned and "let hell break out." Hamas released three living male hostages on Saturday, as required by the deal, after having said on Monday that it was suspending hostage releases until further notice. Netanyahu convened his security cabinet Saturday night to decide on next steps, but gave no indication in statements about what Israel will do. Contradictory Israeli statements after Trump’s comments last week threatened a return to war if "our hostages" and "all of them" weren’t released. Another message said nine hostages had to be released "in the coming days," referring to the number of captives known to be alive who at that point had yet to be released under the current ceasefire phase. Trump said Saturday it was up to Israel to decide how to respond to Hamas missing his deadline. Israel, he wrote on his TruthSocial platform, must decide "what they will do about the 12:00 O’CLOCK, TODAY, DEADLINE imposed on the release of ALL HOSTAGES." "The United States will back the decision they make!" Alongside Rubio on Sunday, Netanyahu promised that Israel will achieve its war goals of toppling Hamas, bringing back all the hostages, and making sure Gaza doesn’t pose a threat to Israel in the future. He added that America’s "unequivocal support" will help Israel achieve these goals faster. Rubio told the press gathered in the Prime Minister’s Office that Trump is "a man that speaks clearly and unambiguously, who makes clear his views on issues." The first issue Trump has been clear on, said Rubio, is that the "hostages need to come home, they need to be released." "That must happen. It’s not optional." Later Sunday, Rubio told President Isaac Herzog that Trump is "strongly and deeply committed" to the return of "every single hostage" being held in Gaza, and won’t rest "until all of them are home." Rubio added in his appearance with Netanyahu that Trump "has been very clear that Hamas cannot continue as a government or military force, and frankly as long as it stands as a force that can govern, as a force that can administer, or as a force that can threaten by use of violence, peace becomes impossible." "It must be eradicated, it must be eliminated," Rubio declared. Hamas and Israel are currently implementing the first 42-day phase of the ceasefire, and negotiations have yet to begin for the second phase. Israel has not sent negotiators with a mandate to advance such talks, despite being required to do so under the deal’s terms. The second phase is expected to cover the release of the remaining hostages and include discussions on a permanent end to the war. Rubio and Netanyahu also discussed Trump’s controversial vision for the future of Gaza. While Netanyahu was at the White House earlier this month, and on numerous occasions since, Trump has called for the permanent relocation of all Gazooks, and for the US to rebuild the war-torn territory. Some US officials have since sought to paint the plan as a temporary relocation, but Trump has not. Netanyahu said he spoke with Rubio about Trump’s "bold vision for Gaza, for Gaza’s future, and how we can work together to ensure that future becomes a reality." Rubio also praised the plan as "something that is new, something that frankly took courage and vision in order to outline. It may have surprised and shocked many, but what cannot continue is the same cycle to repeat over and over again and wind up in the exact same place." Apart from Herzog, Rubio also on Sunday met hostages’ families, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, and Opposition Leader Yair Lapid. FINISHING THE JOB ON IRAN Netanyahu said none of the issues discussed on Sunday were more important than Iran. "Israel and America stand shoulder to shoulder in countering the threat of Iran," he said at his joint appearance with Rubio. "We agree that the ayatollahs must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons. We also agreed that Iran’s aggression in the region has to be rolled back." He boasted that Israeli military operations have badly weakened the Iranian axis in the region. With Trump’s support, said Netanyahu, "we can and will finish the job." Rubio also talked tough on Iran, saying the Islamic Theocratic Republicis overwhelmingly responsible for the problems plaguing the Middle East. Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. The word Iranis a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGCis the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA).The term Supreme Guideis a the modern version form of either Duceor Führeror maybe both. They hate "is the greatest single force of instability in the region," he argued, saying it is "behind every terrorist group, behind every act of violence, behind every destabilizing activity, behind everything that threatens peace and stability for millions of people" throughout the region. When he speaks of Iran, Rubio stressed, he is referring to the regime. And the people of Iran, he said, "are victims of that regime." Violence in Gaza, the West Bank, Leb ...The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , Syria, and Iraq "all have behind them one common theme — Iran. And that must be addressed," Rubio said. A nuclear Iran "can never happen," he said, adding that Trump has been very clear on that issue as well. The US intelligence community recently presented assessments that Israel is considering strikes on Iran’s nuclear program, and that the attacks could come this year, according to the Washington Post. Iran, which is sworn to Israel’s destruction, insists its nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes. However, if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well... the UN nuclear watchdog IAEA has said that Iran is currently enriching uranium to levels that have no civilian use, and the country has obstructed international inspectors seeking to visit its facilities. In addition, The New York Times ![]() ...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported earlier this month that American intelligence indicates a covert team of Iranian scientists was exploring ways to quickly develop a nuclear weapon if the country’s leadership decided to pursue one. The two also discussed the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria, which Netanyahu said Israel had triggered through its weakening of the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon. "If any other force in Syria today believes that Israel will permit other hostile forces to use Syria as a base" for attacks on Israel, said Netanyahu, "they are gravely mistaken." "Israel will act to prevent any threat from emerging in southwest Syria," he pledged. Ahmed al-Sharaa, who was appointed interim president last week, is a former jihadist rebel leader who headed the hard boyz who toppled president Bashir Pencilneckal-Assad Horror of Homs... in December. He has begun making international trips to shore up support in the region. Replacing one destabilizing force for another is not a positive development. Rubio said in Jerusalem that "replacing one destabilizing force for another is not a positive development. And that is something we will watch very carefully." They also discussed Lebanon, Netanyahu said. "Israel is committed to the ceasefire and the understandings we reached in November, and expects the government of Lebanon to be equally committed." "Hezbollah must be disarmed," he said, "and Israel would prefer the Lebanese army does that job," but Israel will do what it must. Hezbollah is required under the ceasefire agreement with Israel to vacate southern Lebanon. Israel was given 60 days, until January 26, to withdraw from the area. The withdrawal deadline was extended, with Beirut’s approval, to February 18. Israel is reportedly seeking to stay longer in some areas of south Lebanon. Regarding Lebanon, Rubio said that Israeli and US goals are aligned and the same: "A strong Lebanese state that can take on and disarm Hezbollah." Netanyahu says he and Rubio also discussed hostile international institutions, including the UN General Assembly, UN Human Rights Council, and the ICJ and ICC in The Hague. He says they discussed coordinating efforts to counter lawfare against the US and Israel, to neutralize this threat "once and for all." |

In meeting with Sa’ar, top Italian diplomat says Rome will no longer work with UNRWA |
2025-02-08 |
[IsraelTimes] Meeting with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in Ashdod Port, Italy’s top diplomat Antonio Tajani says his country will not work with UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees. “We don’t want to work with UNRWA and we condemn the use of UNRWA offices as a prison for Israeli hostages,” says Tajani. The mother of freed hostage Emily Damari said last week that her daughter had been held at UNRWA facilities in Gaza. Sa’ar says at the joint press conference that the UN Human Rights Council “acted in the most outrageous way possible.” “They were biased, they were obsessive, you can say they were antisemites because they used double standards with regards to our state.” Sa’ar announced this week that Israel would no longer participate in the UNHRC, following the US’s withdrawal. Sa’ar hints that US President Donald Trump’s proposal for the Gaza Strip should be taken seriously. “Today, it is important to listen carefully to new ideas that have been proposed and to think outside the box,” he says. “Gaza is a failed experiment. It failed under Egyptian sovereignty. It failed when handed to the Palestinian Authority under the Oslo Accords. Ever since we saw terrorism rise. It has certainly failed under Hamas,” he argues. “Gaza, in its current state, has no future.” “We must try to find a different solution,” Sa’ar says. “We must take a new approach.” |

World record for hangings and shootings. Saudi Arabia has secured the presidency of the UN Forum on the Status of Women. Right: Saudi executioners kill one person every two days, many of them women. 172 in a year, fewer than the Iranians, but not a bad record. It brings to mind what the French mathematician Laurent Lafforgue wrote, who wrote that with the UN it is "like calling on the Khmer Rouge to set up a group of human rights experts". "Here are the moral leaders of the United Nations: this year, the Chinese communist regime is a member of the UN Human Rights Council, Iran’s Islamic regime served as president of the UN Conference on Disarmament, and Saudi Arabia was named chair of the UN Commission on Women’s Rights," said Hillel Neuer, head of UN Watch. "The United Nations is a giant dictators’ club," added Thor Halvorssen, founder of the Human Rights Foundation. The UN "public service" award went to the Lebanese Interior Ministry that is in the hands of Hezbollah. The UN’s Orwellian Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, "Copuos," was chaired by an Iranian. "Imagine a land plagued by inefficiency, Kafkaesque bureaucracy, and the miasma of corruption," wrote Stephen Halper in the Wall Street Journal. "Imagination is unnecessary; you’re at the United Nations." While the Saudi Supreme Court (which is not really a supreme court, but more of a congregation of imams) gave the green light to a thousand lashes and ten years in prison for liberal blogger Raif Badawi, guilty of having "insulted Islam," a delegation of United Nations bureaucrats landed in Jeddah to promote an "international conference on religious freedom." Leading the delegation were Joachim Rucker himself, the president of the Human Rights Council, photographed alongside the guardians of Wahhabi Islam in white robes, and Heiner Bielefeldt, the UN envoy for religious freedom. Saudi Arabia is the third largest donor in the world. Could this have something to do with it? Qatar - a sort of Islamic Luxembourg that finances all the henchmen, from Hamas to the Taliban - has just made an agreement with the UN to finance..."road safety in the world." Then another donation from Qatar to the UN Fund for Women. Orwell is alive and fighting alongside us. "China has succeeded in making the UN more Chinese," Moritz Rudolf, founder of Eurasia Bridges, a German consultancy that studies the new Silk Road, tells the Wall Street Journal. "It’s systematic." Meanwhile, the Taliban, with whom the Chinese are doing big business (now there is even a "Taliban ambassador in Beijing"), are working to get their hands on the ecological investments that the international community had planned for Afghanistan. What could possibly go wrong? The UN is about to bring the Taliban back to the table of nations. And since the Taliban came to power in 2021, the German government has sent over 400 million euros to Afghanistan. To quote that fantastic contrarian Mark Steyn, the problem with the United Nations is that if you take ice cream and a bit of dog feces and mix them together, the result will always taste like dog feces and not ice cream. What is the length of the spoon used by these corrupt people to dine with the devil? Just ask Marzieh Hamidi. She is twenty-one years old, a high-level athlete, a taekwondo champion and a refugee in France. A refugee, because Marzieh is Afghani, she left the country three years ago, when the proto-Western protectorate collapsed in a few hours. She has received three thousand death threats, of ending up raped, which has led to her living under escort. It is in France that this political refugee was placed under police protection and forced to leave her home, again, after the Taliban. Where are the feminist associations? Where is the left that takes to the streets against Israel? Where are the political figures of #MeToo? Have they met Hamidi? Have they chanted his name? Some, perhaps. Already in 1996, in the Express, Elisabeth Schemla wrote an article entitled "Feminists and the Koranistan": "Feminists are silent on the radio, while Radio Kabul broadcasts the Taliban precepts. The fight for equality monopolizes them completely. It is far away, so far away, the Koranistan! Have you forgotten the firm resolutions of the Cairo and Beijing conferences, which refused to make ’cultural difference’ an alibi for slavery?". Meanwhile, Marzieh Hamidi opens her cell phone to check WhatsApp: 4,324 messages and 500 phone calls in one night. Not only from Pakistan and Iran, but also from Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Serbia, South America and France. They call for murder, rape, stoning... the whole range of telegraphic barbarism. No major feminist association has taken up her dramatic story or organized a demonstration to defend her. "I have been called a slave of the West," she confesses to the Point, which calls her "an abandoned heroine." "But I warn those who call me an Islamophobe: open your eyes! Let them move to Kabul! They have never experienced what I have experienced or what Iranian women go through! Let them settle in Afghanistan, they won’t last two days." Thanks to the UN, Koranistan is close, so close! |

Taliban bar UN human rights special rapporteur from Afghanistan |
2024-08-22 |
[GEOTV] The Taliban![]() have barred United Nations ...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly... -appointed special rapporteur Richard Bennett from entering Afghanistan, the administration's spokesperson told local broadcaster Tolo, accusing the human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... watchdog of "spreading propaganda". ![]() Bennett, who has previously said the Taliban's treatment of women and girls could amount to a crime against humanity, is based outside Afghanistan but has visited several times to research the situation. The UN Human Rights Council did not immediately respond to request for comment. Bennett could not immediately be reached for comment. The Taliban administration's foreign ministry spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi told Rooters that Bennett "had been unable to acquire a travel visa to Afghanistan". "Even after repeatedly requesting Mr Bennett to adhere to professionalism during work... it was decided that... his reports are based on prejudices and anecdotes detrimental to interests of Afghanistan and the Afghan people," Balkhi said. Taliban administration spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has previously said the Taliban respect women's rights in accordance with its interpretation of Islamic law and local customs. He told Tolo that Bennett would not be allowed to come to Afghanistan, a rare public barring of an individual foreign official. "Mr Bennett's travel to Afghanistan has been prohibited because he was assigned to spread propaganda in Afghanistan... He used to exaggerate minor issues and propagate them," Mujahid said, according to Tolo. |
