PM Imran vows 'accountability for all' over Kasur deaths
2019-09-19
[DAWN] Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the brightest knife in the national drawer...
on Wednesday, while speaking on the death and suspected sexual assault of three minors in Kasur, made it clear that there would be accountability for all.

"Those who do not perform in the interest of the common man will be taken to task, " he said, going on to list the steps taken by the Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

government and police following the incident.

"Kasur district police officer (DPO) being removed; SP investigation Kasur surrendered, charge sheeted and being proceeded against."

"DSP and SHO suspended. Major overhaul in Kasur local police on the cards," he continued, adding that a formal probe has been ordered under an additional inspector general.

Chunian police on Tuesday recovered the bodies of three minors, who appeared to have been killed after rape, from sand dunes near Chunian bypass.

A wave of shock and terror gripped Chunian when the police recovered the bodies. Locals suspected a racket was behind the killing of minor boys after rape.

Earlier on Wednesday, protests erupted in Kasur with residents protesting against child abductions and lack of action by police. Protesters blocked roads in Chunian and burned tires while chanting slogans against the police. The demonstrators also surrounded the Chunian cop shoppe as they protested against lack of arrests and incidents of child abduction.

In the last few years, Kasur has been rocked by multiple incidents of abuse, rape and killing of children. In January 2018, six-year-old Zainab Ansari was found dead in a trash heap near Shahbaz Khan Road, five days after she went missing. Hers was the 12th such incident to have occurred within a 10-kilometre radius in Kasur over a 12-month period. Her death had sparked nationwide protests and outrage.

2011-05-23
[Dawn] Police jugged a seminary teacher in Kakshal area on the charges of sexually assaulting his three-year-old pupil late on Friday.

An official of the Yakatoot cop shoppe told this correspondent on Saturday that the teacher identified as Qari Mohammad Zaman of Orakzai Agency
... crawling with holy men, home to Darra Adam Khel, the world's largest illegal arms bazaar. 14 distinct tribes of beturbanned primitives inhabit Orakzai agency's 1500 or so square kilometers...
was jugged on the complaint of one Shahbaz Khan, father of the child, and an FIR had been registered against him under Section 377/12 of Pakistain Penal Code.

"On his return from the seminary to home my son was crying in pain. He could not fully express his feelings, but disclosed that the teacher had subjected him to sexual assault," the official quoted the complainant as saying.

The official said that the accused had been taken to a hospital for obtaining his medico-legal report and he would probably be produced in a special court on Sunday (today) to get his custody for further investigations.

Initially, the official claimed, the accused had confessed to his crime and said that he had married a year ago and presently residing at the seminary at Kakshal in Qureshabad locality of Beautiful Downtown Peshawar.

The medico-legal report, he said, could be obtained till Monday. Mr Shahbaz said that he works as carpenter and wanted his child to learn Koran, but he did not know that the Qari (teacher) would hurt his confidence.

"As the child was screaming in pain I took him to a local doctor, who also confirmed that he had been sexually abused," he said and demanded exemplary punishment to the accused.

The police official confided to this correspondent that two other people sitting with the teacher at the seminary had also been jugged, but they were later released.

The official said that caretaker of the seminary had avoided contacting police, however a few friends of the accused visited and cursed him in the lockup.

The local people, he said, had also demanded harsh punishment to the accused.

LI supporters riot in Bara
2007-04-23
Angry protesters set fire to five security check posts, plundered several shops and exchanged fire with security forces here following the end of a two-day deadline given by Lashkar-e-Islami (LI) chief Mangal Bagh to the Frontier Corps (FC) and Khasadars to vacate seized centres of the LI.

Mangal Bagh had warned the security forces in an announcement on FM radio two days ago that the organisation would start protests if the LI centres were not vacated by 6am on Sunday. Soon after the deadline ended, several people, most of them children from various tribes, reached Bara Bazaar from Qambarabad, Shaikhan and Alhaj market and set five check posts ablaze. The protesters plundered several shops in the bazaar and also damaged government property. The security personnel fired tear gas and used batons to disperse the mob. The protesters later moved into a settled area near Bara and destroyed several music and video shops there.

During the same protests, activists of the LI set four houses of their rivals on fire while the FC managed to protect the house of Pir Saifur Rehman after a two-hour shootout. Four LI activists and a passer-by were injured in the gunbattle.

As the protesters entered Bara Bazaar, some LI activists demolished the house of Khalifa Majid Malang, a former leader of the Afridi tribe, and tried to enter Arjli Naddi Centre in Shalober, but returned after holding talks with FC and Khasadar personnel. The LI activists then demolished the nearby houses of Ansarul Islam supporters Ghani Malang and Shahbaz Khan. They also set fire to the house of another rival, Zamindar Badshah, in the Sipah area of Bara.

Meanwhile, the Malakdin Khel tribe has announced that it will not cooperate with the government until it reconstructs a demolished market and compensates the tribesmen. Addressing a press conference, Malakdin Khel supreme commander Haji Amal Gul Afridi said his tribe had cooperated with the government and complied with a notice to vacate the market without resistance, but the government destroyed the market with dynamite instead of discussing the issue with them.

Gohar Shahi group funding ‘Imam Mehdi’ network
2005-12-28
Shahbaz Khan, the self-proclaimed ‘Imam Mehdi’, and his followers are being funded by Younas Al-Gohar, the founder of Gohar Shahi group, who lives in the United Kingdom, sources in the investigation team told Daily Times. Sources said that the investigators had also forwarded a report to higher authorities demanding Interpol help to arrest Younas. Shahbaz told investigators that British national Younas, who is a billionaire and an expert hypnotist, was their main financer. Shahbaz was also learning hypnotism from Younas.
I'm starting to get really interested in this story, even though it doesn't make a lick of sense.

Younas, I'm convinced, is surrounded by fanatical minions. He can freeze a strong man with a single glance, and he has a grip of steel. He drops his enemies into pits full of hungry alligators. He punishes minions with death for the slightest screwup.

He has a beautiful daughter named Fatimah, who favors 4-inch, blood red fingernails and slinky dresses. Her maid's name is Mei-ling, and Fatimah abuses her.

Younas has Professor Hodgkiss locked in a tower, where he's forced to work on the tsunami machine. If he doesn't, his beautiful daughter Cynthia will be ravished by Mungo, Younas' hunchback.

Secret Agent Armstrong has been trying to infiltrate Gohar Shahi so he can rescue Cynthia and Professor Hodgkiss and destroy the tsunami machine that devastated Sumatra last year. He's got a sidekick named Gus, who says all sorts of amusing things...
Sources said that Shehbaz told the investigators that he had also been publishing a newspaper, Hatif Mehdi. He said that he was in contact with Younas through mind rays email and gave investigators five email addresses belonging to his advisers. Shahbaz said that their group was working in Europe under the titles of AFSM and ARGO to preach their new religion through two websites.
That's where they get all their fanatical minions. We can't publish the URLs, 'cuz if you go there you'll be hypnotized with one look. You won't even make it past the popups, so don't even try...
Sources said that Shahbaz was a follower of Gohar Shahi and Younas chose him for his activities after the death of Gohar Shahi.
Gohar Shahi, of course, isn't really dead. He's actually being held in the dungeon. Mei-ling brings him something to eat once a week. She's fallen in love with him, because he's actually a kindly old man...
Shahbaz said that Younas ordered him to return to Pakistan and announce the new religion.
It takes some kind of evil genius to announce a new religion in Pakistan. Do it in Copenhagen and nobody pays attention...
He arranged a new setup in the last six months with the collaboration of his previous Gohar Shahi network.
They think the old man is dead, but they all went to the website to read the obituary and that was it — now they're all myrmidons...
Shahbaz told investigators that he was trying to recruit poor people to his cause. He and his followers would attract people through money and other facilities. They also preached to their followers about a free society in which anyone can have sex with any woman of his choice.
Younas, y'see, is kinda physically unattractive, for all his billions. That's the only way he can get laid...
Shahbaz said that they were working under different names including Hizb-e-Riaz, Mehdi Foundation, Deen-e-Younas, Deen-e-Elahi, Sarkari Sufi and Anjuman-e-Sarfoshan-e-Islam.
Sometimes they refer to themselves as SPECTRE, and sometimes as KAOS. Every once in awhile they call themselves Boskone, but only on special occasions...
Sources said that the culprits were also in contact with their supreme leaders in Hyderabad “where they have set up a state titled Khuda Ki Basti”.
They've got a golden idol they sacrifice goats and sometimes virgins to, when they can get ahold of them. It's only got one eye, a great big jewel that Baron von Schtinken was trying to steal...
“They invite their followers there to go on Haj and give them travelling and other expenses,” sources added.
Some, of course, never return...
Shahbaz also confessed to hypnotising people and giving them hashish.
"Whoa! Good weed, man!"
"You like it? You can learn all about it at this URL..."
I think Shahbaz tried to sell me a bumper sticker outside of Barnes & Noble the other day. Younas has obviously figgered out that the secret to success lies in becoming a Multi-Level Mullah. It's kinda like Amway, only with live ammo and no customer satisfaction guarantee.

8 more "Imam Mehdi" disciples arrested
2005-12-24
Police have arrested eight more followers of Shahbaz Khan, the self-proclaimed ‘Imam Mehdi’, who were planning to take out a procession in Faisalabad, Amir Zulfiqar Khan, senior superintendent of police, told reporters on Friday. The SSP said law enforcement agencies would not let anybody play with religions and beliefs. He said the followers of Shahbaz Khan had their own ‘Kalma’, which was totally different from that of Muslims.
Whoa! They're for the high jump...
The SSP said police raided several places in the Sattokatla, WAPDA Town B-Block and Nawankot areas to arrest the men. Police also seized several weapons, CDs, computers, a list of friends, including women settled aboard, and international air tickets. “These people have a strong network and are keeping a very low profile. They have a heart-shaped monogram on which the word Allah is printed. Anjuman-e-Sarfaroshan-e-Islam is also written,” SSP Khan said. He said the men had planned to arrange processions similar to the one Shahbaz Khan took out a few days ago.
Still waiting for that earthquake he promised...
Shahbaz and his accomplices were arrested after a gunfight with police, which left two followers dead.
No leaders dead, of course...
The SSP said Shahbaz Khan’s followers were confident of their beliefs. “They are completely convinced that they are following the right man,” he said. He said there could be chances that Khan’s network is being funded by foreign elements. However, he said investigations were underway. “We are contacting Interpol to arrest Younis in the United Kingdom because he is also backing Shahbaz’s activities,” the SSP said.

One killed as new cult members hijack bus in Faisalabad
2005-12-16
This is the tie-breaker for Emily's WakiPaki Irredenta contest.
FAISALABAD: A group of armed men led by a man claiming to be the Imam Mehdi
Last week he was Elvis. The week before he was Napoleon Bonapart.
hijacked a bus on the Motorway and demanded to speak to President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Thursday.
"Perv! We wanna talk to Perv!"
They later surrendered and gave up the hostages after the police arrested their leader,
"We quit!"
but not before a man was killed and three injured in a shootout.
Must not have been the real Imam Mehdi since he didn't use his mind-ray.
He did, but it only melted part of the police car.
Senior Faisalabad police officials said that at around 12:30pm on Thursday, 35 to 40 armed men wearing orange uniforms came to an anti-narcotics police station at Allied Chowk in two cars, one pickup van and a motorcycle, all equipped with loudspeakers.
Then the motorcycle got the cord to the loudspeaker caught in the chain...
They started airing a message over the loudspeakers: “Our leader Shahbaz Khan is Imam Mehdi and he’ll grace the world at 4pm after a severe earthquake. All Muslims are directed to immediately contact him.”
Or at least throw cash.
The men proceeded to drive around while playing the message, and also fired bullets in the air, one of which hit a passer-by, Muhammad Younas, in the leg.
If they were firing bullets into the air, does that mean Muhammad was flying over them at the time?
We don't have a pic of circus clowns in a little car, but it seems appropriate here.
A police team started chasing them,
"You, there! Halt!"
and were later joined by police from Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, and Pindi Bhattian.
"Calling all cars! Be on the lookout for Imam Mehdi! That is all!"
The police surrounded the men near Kamalpur Interchange, where the men were beating up motorway staff.
"Drop the bludgeon, Muggsy! We gotcha surrounded!"
When they saw the police, they stopped a bus going to Lahore with 40 passengers and held it hostage. There was then a crossfire shootout in which four of the men – Sharif, Sheikh Tahir and Naveed – were injured.
"Ow!"
"Ow!"
"Ow!
"Ow!"
Sharif later died in hospital.
"Rosebud!"
Wonder if his mother knew he was an apostate?
Shahbaz Khan announced his message again and demanded a meeting with senior federal authorities and the international press.
"Oh, yeah? Where's the earthquake?"
Police said the men initially claimed to be from the Anjuman Sarfroshan-e-Islam sect, but later claimed they belonged to a “new religion”, Deen-e-Younas.
Rut-roh, better not let the Bugtis hear about this.
The police convinced Shahbaz that they were going to take him to meet journalists, but arrested him instead.
"Yeah! We're gonna take you to meet some nice journalists... right over... here! Get 'im, boys!"
His accomplices then surrendered. A total of 29 men, including Shahbaz, were arrested and Nishatabad police registered cases against them under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Anti-Terrorism Act.
"Book 'em, Danno!"
Police seized 12 7mm rifles, one double barrel rifle, nine pistols, one dagger and bullets from them.

Blast damages mosque in Balochistan
2005-03-22
A bomb blast damaged a mosque and a madrassa in Saleem Colony near Usta Mohammed in Balochistan on Monday.
Well, I guess some good's coming out of the festivities...
One of the four men was slightly injured in the accident at a residential compound which also shattered windows at a nearby mosque, said Shahbaz Khan, a local police official. Khan said he didn't think the four were linked to the Fatehpur bombing but that the facts would only be known after the investigation is complete. The police arrested three brothers, Abdul Basit, Mohammed Akram and Abdul Hadi, sons of Hazar Khan Mastoi, residents of Usta Mohammed, and members of a banned religious organisation.
That'd be Lashkar e-Jhangvi, of course...
Abdul Haleem Jakhro, resident of Jacobabad, also was arrested. Police sources said the arrested men were members of a banned religious organisation and were also allegedly involved in other bomb blasts in Balochistan and Kandhkot. The police said the bomb was locally made. "Initial investigation shows that they were making a bomb and wanted to attack an organisation of their opponents," Khan said. Investigators suspected rebel tribesmen might be involved in the shine bombing, police said.

Six gunned down in Bajaur tribal feud
2003-05-23
BAJAUR: A gun battle on Thursday between two groups of the Salarzai tribesmen left six persons dead and three others injured in Pushat in the Salarzai division of the Bajaur Agency. Attributing the ensuing gun battle to an old feud, local residents said that the firing started after members of the two groups came across each other in the agency's busy trading centre.
"Mahmoud! Ain't that Latuf Ullah an' his kinfolk, pickin' over the butter beans?"
"Dang, Ahmed! Where's my shootin' arn?"
They said that local law enforcement authorities had arrested nine persons belonging to both the groups after the incident. The three wounded men were later rushed to a local hospital. The Bajaur Levies later rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. The two groups are reportedly being led by Malik Gul Noor and Malik Shahbaz Khan.
