Kenya to deport terror convict to Britain |
2023-07-18 |
![]() ...daughter of a British soldier who decided being a jihadi gun moll was more romantic, and mother of four. After converting to Islam as a schoolgirl, she worked her way who is linked to several attacks.Jermaine Grant, 40, ...a Jamaican-Brit convert to Islam and habitué of the notorious Brixton Mosque, he is believed to have become radicalized in the same British prison as "shoe bomber" Richard Reid, who claimed allegiance to Al Qaeda and also worshipped at Brixton Mosque. Mr. Grant then headed to Somalia to join the glorious jihad... faces removal from Kenya after serving nine years in jail for possessing bomb-making materials and forging immigration papers. He was tried and convicted of planning attacks against hotels in the country. The decision to release him and subsequent deportation to Britannia could raise questions about the safety of the European nation, which has been keen on fighting terror. It is not clear if Kenya has contacted London ahead of the execution of the plan. We don’t want him, you can have him, he’s too jihad for us... Grant was prosecuted in Kenya after police found chemicals, switches, and a bomb-making manual in a flat he shared with Lewthwaite, whose husband Germaine Lindsay was one of the four jacket wallahs who together killed 52 people in London in 2005, Daily Mail notes. The Jamaican-born British convert to Islam went kaboom on a London Underground train on 7/7/2005. When police swooped on the flat in 2012, Lewthwaite had fled, escaping just minutes earlier after Grant allegedly warned her with a text message, saying: ’The lions are inside. One of them is very watchful like a bird watches a stone.’ She is still on the lam.Details in possession of the security teams indicate that Grant was born in Newham, East London. According to reports, Grant had plans to unleash terror attacks on hotels frequented by tourists in Kenya's coastal town of Mombasa. Prosecutors also linked him to al-Shabaab ![]() murderous Moslems. A team of counter-terrorism officers from Scotland Yard flew to Kenya to assist in his prosecution. Met Detective Inspector John Reilly told Grant’s trial in 2014: ’We know that the chemicals found at Grant’s house were designed to make a bomb. We believe the gang was at the end of its preparations.’ Grant was convicted of possession of bomb-making materials but was acquitted in 2019 of ’conspiracy to commit a felony’ in relation to the terror plot. Now he faces a court in Kenya on Wednesday to decide whether he should be deported. Prosecutor Bernard Ngiri has filed an application to kick him out of the country as an ’unwanted immigrant’ after he was released from prison on June 24. The High Court will determine his deportation and it is highly likely that the application will be granted. Kenya is fighting terror groups mainly the al-Shabaab who have encroached on the country from neighboring Somalia. The group has heightened attacks in the Northern Frontier Districts and Lamu, leading to the delay in reopening the Kenya-Somalia border. British-born terrorist divorces 4th husband, leaves Somalia for Yemen |
2022-01-17 |
[Garowe] A renowned British terrorist who is being sought by Interpol and various security agencies around the world has reportedly ditched her fourth husband and subsequently, moved to Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... after spending a couple of years in an unknown location in Somalia. Samantha Lewthwaite ...who also used the fake South African identity of Natalie Faye Webb, converted to Islam at age 15, then worked her way alias the Black Widow, originally from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, is among the world's most wanted women. She is a mother of four according to security officials. At 38, Samantha was previously linked to London's 7/7 bombing ...via first husband Germaine Lindsay, the British-Jamaican terrorist who carried out one of the deadly kabooms in London on July 7, 2005. Former Kenyan naval officer turned terrorist Abdi Wahid wore her wedding ring next, I think. Al Qaeda henchman Fahmi Jamal Salim, also known as Marco Costa, followed, fathering two of her children, then the one she just fled.... before fleeing to South Africa. Later, she crossed to Tanzania in 2011 and then Kenya, before Sherlocks tracked her to an al-Shabaab![]() stronghold in Somalia. The infamous Black Widow was linked to a string of attacks across the world which may have resulted in the death of over 400 people. She's currently the most sought female terrorist around the world, The Daily Mirror reports. Most recently, she spent seven years with her fourth husband, a Somalia warlord known as 'Sheikh Hassan', ... Hassan Maalim Ibrahim to his mother... before splitting from him and fleeing to Yemen, reports The Mirror.Police sources said she fled from a 'no-go' zone in Somalia where they have been hiding and is believed to have crossed over to Yemen. She is now believed to reside in a jihadi-sympathising stronghold in neighbouring Yemen, where she wears a full niqab and gloves to conceal her identity. One security source told the Mirror: '[Lewthwaite] and Sheikh Hassan are no longer together — it is thought they are divorced. She had protection from his family in a no-go area in Somalia. 'But now she is not welcome and has gone back to al-Qaeda-controlled Yemen. She got there in a dhow sailing vessel. But despite this latest development, there are no intelligence reports which are exclusively reporting about her whereabouts. Yemen has been in turmoil for several years and there is a possibility that she crossed over unnoticed. Lewthwaite, originally of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, was the wife of 7/7 bomber Germaine Lindsay and is thought to be behind scores of suicide kabooms across Africa and the Middle East. Interpol issued a Red Notice warrant for her arrest after she was linked to the 2013 Westgate Mall attack in Kenya, which left five Britons and 66 other people dead and injured around 200 others. London University graduate Lewthwaite reportedly altered her appearance through plastic surgery and piled on weight in a bid to remain unrecognised. She has pledged to raise all of her four children, who have three different fathers, as jihadists. |

2019-01-01 |
[PRESSTV] Intelligence sources have revealed that Britannia’s most wanted female terrorist is plotting a major attack in the capital London. Security sources told the Daily Mirror newspaper that Samantha Lewthwaite, better known as the White Widow, is now plotting an attack in London from her base in the war-torn Yemen. Lewthwaite, a 35-year-old mother of four, is the widow of Germaine Lindsay, the British-Jamaican terrorist who carried out one of the deadly kabooms in London on July 7, 2005. British intelligence services believe Lewthwaite, who fled Britannia to join murderous Moslems in the Horn of Africa region, has had plastic surgery and has put on weight to dodge and international police hunt. Sources have revealed that she was recently in Dubai to prepare a string of new attacks, including one in London. |

Al-Shabab suspect nabbed at UK Parliament Square |
2017-05-02 |
[SHABELLENEWS] Al shabaab suspect found with a ’rucksack full of knives’ near Parliament Square was allegedly a friend of a British jihadist known as the ’White Beast’ who died fighting for the al-Shabaab ... ![]() terror group. It was revealed by MailOnline that Khalid Mohammed Omar Ali was an aid worker who had travelled in a relief convoy to Gazoo. But now it has emerged that jihadi Thomas Evans was also in the group who travelled there from London with the charity Road to Hope in 2010, according to reports. Evans was shot in Kenya while fighting for the African terrorist group al-Shabaab in 2015. Whitehall terror suspect Khalid Mohammed Omar Ali, pictured left, was on the same trip to Gazoo in 2010 as jihadi Thomas Evans, pictured right, according to reports. He had been linked to the world’s most wanted woman ‐ ’White Widow’ Samantha Lewthwaite ‐ over an attack that left 50 innocent villagers dead in the Kenyan countryside in June 2014. His mother told The Sunday Telegraph that she believes her son was radicalised on the aid trip which saw the pair stuck in Libya. Sally Evans ‐ who reported her son to the authorities following the journey to Gazoo ‐ said: ’After he returned from that trip he began interpreting Islam more strongly. He was upset about he had seen there. ’He was already a Moslem but he became more radicalised on his return. I do feel that was the case. ’It needs to be investigated. I’m shocked they were both on the same trip.’ In footage of the convoy, Ali can be seen with a Paleostine banner tied round his head. Footage from 2010 shows a young Khalid Mohammed Omar Ali ‐ now 27 ‐ sitting excitedly in the front of his van as he prepares to drive from London to Gazoo. |

SA not safe from al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab |
2015-02-28 |
[IOL.CO.ZA] The revelations in the secret State Security Agency (SSA) reports leaked to Al Jazeera should finally dispel any illusions that might still remain that South Africa is safe from attack by groups such as al-Qaeda because our government has the correct international stance. Documents written in 2012 reveal that the SSA, working with secret services of other countries, foiled at least two al-Qaeda/al-Shabaab ![]() ... the personification of Somali state failure... suicide kabooms in South Africa between 2007 and 2010. One target was a Jewish centre in Cape Town. Another of the attacks was also aimed at a conference it seems, though whether that was also a Jewish event is not clear. The SSA linked the faceless myrmidons who were planning these attacks both with al-Qaeda and al-Shabaab, the Somali myrmidon group which is fighting to topple the precarious government of that failed state. The so-called "white bomber" Samantha Lewthwaite (aka Natalie Faye Webb), a British citizen who is suspected of involvement in al-Shabaab attacks in Kenya, figures prominently in the SSA reports. As we already knew, she lived in South Africa between 2009 and 2011 under a stolen South African identity. She is still believed to be working for al-Shabaab. Although the reports don't mention this, intelligence agencies suspected at the time that al-Shabaab intended to carry out an attack against the US embassy in South Africa in 2009. All embassy buildings were shut for several days. The plans for an attack had apparently been intercepted in calls between an al-Shabaab operative in Somalia and Somalis in South Africa. So it seems that the al-Qaeda/al-Shabaab operatives are at least ready to target Jewish and US interests in South Africa. This illustrates the problem with the thesis that South Africa will be spared because it is not considered politically hostile -- or not as much as others. |

White Widow alive, living with al-Qaeda husband in Somalia
2014-11-15 | |
White widow Samantha Lewthwaite is 'alive and well' and living in southern Somalia with her jihadist husband, a wanted al-Qaeda suspect who calls himself Marco Costa, Kenyan sources said today. In a forged Mozambican passport obtained by MailOnline his picture clearly identifies him as Fahmi Jamal Salim who has been on the run from Kenyan police since he shot and killed two police officers in Nairobi in 2011. Lewthwaite and Salim also appear in a 'selfie' taken at their home. Police are using these and pictures of their two children in a countrywide manhunt for the couple. Counter-terrorism sources in Kenya revealed their updated profile of Lewthwaite in response to claims from a Moscow news agency earlier this week that she had been killed by sniper fire while fighting with a Ukrainian volunteer battalion against pro-Russian rebels. Kenyan intelligence authorities are demanding to see Lewthwaite's body
A senior source said: 'We believe we currently have an accurate profile of Lewthwaite's life and location. She has been linked to other jihad suspects in the past but we now know that she is in a stable marriage with Salim and has two young children with him. 'They pose a major threat to security, working at a high level in the al-Shabaab terror group and planning bombing raids in Somalia and Kenya in retaliation for Kenya sending troops to Somalia to defeat al-Shabaab.' By marrying Salim Samantha Lewthwaite has joined a family steeped in Muslim extremism and the jihad. Salim's brother-in-law was notorious al-Qaeda recruiting officer Musa Dheere, shot dead at a roadblock in Mogadishu in 2011 alongside Fazul Mohamed, a terror suspect with a $5m bounty on his head. Dheere was wanted for the bombing of American embassies in Nairobi and Dar-es-Salaam in 1998 when several hundred were killed.

Kenya police looking into possible sighting of 'white widow'
2014-06-05 | ||
Kenyan police were last night investigating claims that a white woman seen trying to cross into Somalia could have been Samantha Lewthwaite, the widow of a July 7 bomber and now the world's most wanted woman. A foreign woman reportedly paid for two Kenyan policemen to escort her in a rented four-wheel-drive from the island resort of Lamu to the border, where she attempted to pass through Kenyan immigration and into Somalia. Police sources denied that the woman matched any description of Lewthwaite, on the run since 2011 when she fled Kenya after police uncovered a terror cell she allegedly ran in the coastal city of Mombasa. "The documents she used to try to cross the border do not match Samantha," Leonard Omollo, the Lamu county police commander told Kenyan media. Anti-terror police sources in Nairobi, the capital, said that there was no indication that the white woman spotted in the vicinity of the border in April was Lewthwaite. "She is long-gone, in Somalia, perhaps, or Tanzania, we don't know, but we do know that even she would not be stupid enough to return to Kenya then hire police officers to try to help her escape again into Somalia," one said. There was no explanation, however, of who the woman could have been. She was reported to have claimed to work for an aid agency, but almost all international charities have declared the area off limits. She was said to have "vanished" after border guards and immigration officials refused her entry into Somalia.

Bombs Rock Kenya As More Brits Flee: 13 Killed Hours After Foreign Office Terror Alert
2014-05-18 | |
[DailyMail]
o Reports suggest around 70 people were maimed in the blasts o UK and US authorities recently imposed warnings on travel to Kenya o Kenya's National Disaster Operations Centre (NDOC) confirmed on Twitter that the first kaboom came from a 14-seater matatu (minibus), and the second came from within Gikomba Market o Reports suggest that one suspect has been incarcerated Please don't kill me! Hundreds of British tourists were evacuated from Kenya last night as the capital Nairobi was rocked by bombings. Holidaymakers had their trips cut short after the Foreign Office warned against travelling to beach resorts along the coast. Travel firms chartered planes to bring people home early from Nairobi, the Indian Ocean resort of Mombasa and other parts of the country. Yesterday, as anxious travellers arrived at Kenyan airports to check in for their flights to Britannia, two bombs went off in Nairobi, leaving at least 13 dead and 70 injured. The kabooms follow a recent spate of terror attacks by the Islamist Al-Shabaab ![]() ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... group, including an kaboom at a bus station that killed three and the discovery of a bomb at a hotel. These prompted the Foreign Office to alter its travel advice for Kenya, warning against all but essential travel to areas within 37 miles of the Kenya-Somali border and Nairobi. It added: 'There has been a spate of small-scale grenade, bomb and armed attacks in Nairobi, Mombasa, and North Eastern Province.' The US, La Belle France and Australia have also issued alerts. Most travel insurance policies are invalid in areas the Foreign Office rules are unsafe, so tour operators have cancelled Kenyan holidays. However, a woman is only as old as she admits... some tourists claimed the tour companies had overreacted to the Islamist terror threats, which are understood to include plans to bomb beach hotels and kidnap Western tourists. More than 500 British tourists are expected to have been evacuated from the region by tomorrow night, with those expecting to visit Kenya in the next six months facing the cancellation of their holidays. The unusual move follows intelligence warnings to the British Government of a high threat of attack in Mombasa and Nairobi by Al-Shabaab, which is based in Somalia and is linked to Al Qaeda and the Nigerian group Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... The group includes British fighters such as Samantha Lewthwaite, the so-called White Widow' of 7/7 jacket wallah Jermaine Lindsay. Al-Shabaab was behind the attack on Nairobi's Westgate shopping mall in September, when 67 people were killed after its fighters took it over. Some 5,000 Britons are on holiday in Kenya, with an estimated 500 in the Mombasa area subject to the warning. ******************************************************************************* CONCERNS HIGH IN KENYA OVER AL-QAEDA-LINKED GROUP AL-SHABAB Islamic bully boy group Al-Shabaab, which means 'The Youth' in Arabic, was formed in 2006 as a radical offshoot of the Islamic justice system. It is thought to have between 9,000 and 15,000 members and in 2012, it joined the bully boy Islamist organization al-Qaeda as a cell. The group wants to overthrow the UN-backed government in Somalia, and is suspected of links to a string of attacks in neighbouring Kenya. It has been pushed out of most of the main towns it once controlled, but it remains a potent threat. As of 2013, pressure from African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... Mission In Somalia (AMISOM) and Æthiopian forces has largely degraded Al-Shabaab's control and conflict among big shots has exacerbated fractures within the group. Following the death of British Army soldier Drummer Lee Rigby in May 2013, it emerged one of his murderers had travelled to Kenya to train with Al-Shabaab. Michael Adebolajo, 29, was arrested in Kenya in 2010 with five others. At the time, the head of Kenya's anti-terrorism unit said he believed Adebolajo was planning to train with Al-Shabaab, yet he was released to British authorities in Kenya and deported. Adebolajo and accomplice Michael Adebowale, 22, were convicted in December last year of murdering Fusilier Lee Rigby outside his barracks in Woolwich. The British Moslem converts ran him over in a car, almost decapitated him and then dragged him into the middle of the road while ordering onlookers to film them. Adebolajo was given a whole-life term and Adebowale was incarcerated ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... for a minimum of 45 years.

'Most Wanted' Woman Protected by Elite Terrorist Squad
2014-05-07 | |
Samantha Lewthwaite is the widow of 7/7 bomber Germaine Lindsay, who blew himself up on a Piccadilly Line train between King's Cross St Pancras and Russell Square stations. She was the daughter of a former soldier before converting to Islam. The British Muslim convert is linked to the Westgate Mall massacre in Nairobi in which 67 people were killed, and is thought to be hiding in Somalia. Interpol issued a 'Red Notice' warrant for her arrest shortly after the attacks for terrorist offences in Mombasa dating back to 2011. The 29-year-old is the world's most wanted woman after being accused of allegedly ordering the killings of two radical Muslim clerics, two Protestant preachers, and three others with links to al-Shabaab. They are reportedly living in forests and caves and getting milk from nomadic farmers in the region. The 'White Widow' and mother of three, Samantha Lewthwaite, is being guarded by a squad of elite terrorists who are ready to kill anyone who goes near her, it was reported today. The British-born Muslim convert is on the run after she was suspected of helping coordinate the September attack on a Nairobi shopping mall in which 67 people were killed. Reports suggest she is now being protected by a band of loyal al-Qaeda fighters, who move her between locations on camel or donkey to avoid detection. The Daily Mirror reported today she is 'prized' by the group and is being looked after by a well-trained band of men, who clothe their whole bodies apart from their eyes and have threatened locals not to come near them.

Bomb attacks: Kenya deputy president blames judges |
2014-05-06 |
[Washington Post] Faced with rising public anger over a wave terror attacks, Kenya's deputy president appeared on Monday to blame the attacks on judges who have given bail to terror suspects. William Ruto said that terror suspects Jamal Mohammed Awadh and Suleiman Mohammed Sayyed were free on bail and died Saturday while carrying out attacks on the Kenyan coast. However, denial ain't just a river in Egypt... the families of the two men deny the two were involved or had been charged earlier. Ruto claimed 22 other suspects accused of terrorism are out on bail and roaming freely in the country. He also cited the case of Fuad Abubakar Maswab, who is believed to have fled to Somalia while out on $116,000 bail. Fuad, along with two British citizens, is accused of planning attacks over Christmas and New Year's in 2011. One British suspect, Jermaine Grant, who has been remanded while his case is being heard, was found with explosives, Ruto said. The other British suspect, Samantha Lewthwaite, is still on the lam. "We call on the judiciary to be a strong partner in the war against terror. We call on all players in the justice, law and order sector to stand with Kenyans. The Constitution provides a robust framework of civil liberties, which all Kenyans are meant to enjoy. The liberties must work for Kenyans, not against Kenyans," he said. "We believe that there is more that the judiciary can do," Ruto said. The families of Awadh and Sayyed held a presser Monday in the coastal city of Mombasa where they said they were victims of Saturday's blast at a bus stop. |
