NEA Promotes World Hijab Day, Ignores Women Brutalized and Killed for Not Wearing Hijab

[PJMedia] Saturday, Feb. 1, is another World Hijab Day, a Western feminist expression of solidarity with Moslem women in the United States who are supposedly oppressed and discriminated against because they wear the hijab. The National Education Association (NEA) is going in for this in a big way out of concern for hijab-wearing Moslem women who have supposedly been discriminated against. Notably absent, however, is any NEA concern for women who have been victimized for not wearing the hijab.

The NEA asserted Wednesday that "Moslem students in the United States—from middle school through college and university—are experiencing harassment, discrimination, and bullying at scary rates, surveys show. On college campuses, 49% of Moslem students experienced harassment or discrimination due to their Moslem identity, they told the Council on American—Islamic Relations-CA in 2024. More than one in three felt targeted by professors; more than half by their peers." That would be terrible indeed, but it ain’t necessarily so.

Nonetheless, in order to counter this alleged harassment and discrimination, the NEA wants you to observe World Hijab Day, and quotes one of the proponents of the day as saying: "The whole goal is to dismantle Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...
." The idea that there have been any significant manifestations of "Islamophobia" is, however, dubious; note that the NEA relies for its data on the Hamas

(CAIR). Yet CAIR has been caught promoting numerous fake hate crimes.

Also, the oppression related to the hijab is not linked to wearing it, but to not wearing it. Actual incidents of Moslem women being harassed or discriminated against for wearing the hijab in the U.S., meanwhile, are extraordinarily hard to find. It’s much easier to find examples of Moslem women in America who falsely claimed that they were being harassed or discriminated against in order to score points on the left’s insane scale of victimhood worship.

Back on Sept. 16, 2022, in Tehran, the Iranian morality police arrested Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman, for not wearing her hijab properly. Amini later died in a hospital in Tehran, and numerous Iranians charged that she had been tortured to death while in jug. All over the country, protesters erupted into the streets to protest not against the hijab laws, but against the repressive and brutal Islamic Theocratic Republic itself.

Other women, and male protesters as well, were killed as the Iranian regime ruthlessly applied the Qur’anic injunction to "strike terror in the enemies of Allah" (8:60). The protests went on for months until the regime began summarily executing protesters, and even then some indomitably courageous Iranians continued to take to the streets to demand their freedom.

It is against that backdrop that World Hijab Day is once again being celebrated. For innumerable women in Iran, the hijab is the most visible sign of their second-class status, and of the brutality of the regime that will imprison them for years or even kill them outright for daring to venture out in public without wearing it.

Taqiyya: the West should know better

[Giulio Meotti, Arutz 7] Anyone who went to a European Christmas market in the 1990s and early 2000s would never have thought that their life could be in danger. Those days are gone.

In October we discovered that the killer who murdered the children in Southport, England, was not a slightly crazy Rwandan Christian refugee, as the English government and all the mainstream media had assured us, but a terrorist with an Al Qaeda manual in his house and chemical material to make a bomb.

That was the work of Axel Rudakubana —more fully Axel Muganwa Rudakubana — the Wales-born, Moslem son of Christian immigrants from Rwanda who fell prey to previously undiagnosed Sudden Jihad Syndrome and attacked a girls’ Taylor Swift dance party in Southport with a knife …

For four months they kept the truth hidden. Why?

And who remembers the "Christian kamikaze", Emad Al Swealmeen, the name of the Liverpool attacker? "Enzo Almeni," as his friends called him, was an asylum seeker with a Syrian father and Iraqi mother who had changed his name to sound "more Western" and had faked a conversion to Christianity to hide his identity and motives. He wanted to attack the cathedral.

Instead, the Mother of Satan (TATP) and ball bearing bomb that he’d worked on for seven months went off while he was locked in a taxi outside a Liverpool maternity hospital, the quick-witted cab driver having jumped out when he realized the thing was about to kaboom.

Now we have the Saudi doctor who killed 5 people at a Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg, central Germany.

There is now discussion about the identity of the attacker, a Saudi doctor who claimed to have abandoned Islam, Taleb Al Abdulmohsen. And so the morning after the massacre we woke up to a sea of idiocies based on his statements that he is a "former Muslim". Why an attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg against Christians?

The dear doctor was pro-Hamas. Many former Muslims who knew him assure us that he never gave up Islam and that he cheated the West to be given asylum.

Did he practice taqiya, which is an Islamic practice that allows believers to deceive the enemy, pretend to be something else, in order to carry out Jihad?

The Saudis had warned the Germans that Taleb was dangerous.

A few months ago in Annecy, France, a man from Syria terrorized a park by stabbing several children. An asylum seeker who was first accepted as such in Sweden ten years ago pretending to be an atheist, Christian or homosexual to obtain asylum is a common phenomenon. The attacker in Annecy with the knife claimed to be Christian and was wearing a cross. The Syrian was in fact a former member of Bashar al-Assad's army who then joined ISIS before seeking and obtaining political asylum in Europe.

He went by Abdelmasih Hanoun — "Abdelmasih" means "Slave of Christ” — and had lived for a decade in Sweden with official refugee status and a Swedish wife, but left when his citizenship application was denied and his wife divorced him. France denied his asylum application days before the attack because he was already approved in Sweden. He was subsequently identified as Selwan Majd, a Moslem refugee from Hasakah, Syria.

Everyone knew that no Christian could blow himself up inside a cathedral, just as no Christian would stab children at random in a dance class and no ex-Muslim would attack a Christmas market in Magdeburg.

So my greatest fear is that taqiya has made incredible and chilling progress in the West.

In August it came out that one of the terrorists who wanted to carry out a massacre at the Taylor Swift concert in Vienna worked for a company that provides services at concerts.

In England they have just arrested a police officer for supporting Hamas.

In the Netherlands, police officers are no longer required to enforce laws protecting Jews, or to provide them equal treatment. So some stand by when Jews or their property are attacked; some join in.

Mickaël Harpon, the perpetrator of the massacre at the Paris Prefecture that cost the lives of four police officers, was a police officer in charge of anti-terrorism in one of the most protected places in France. The computer 007 was was hired by a department whose priorities included the fight against "terrorism, particularly radical Islamism." Harpon had secretly converted to Islam.

Joined the police in 2003, converted to Islam in 2008, upset colleagues by defending the Al Qaeda Charlie Hebdo massacre in 2015. He and his wife exchanged almost three dozen Islamist text messages shortly before he ran amok with two knives. The wife was released without charge after questioning in the gallant French way.

Jean-Baptiste Salvaing, deputy commander of the judicial police, and his partner Jessica Schneider, a secretary at a police station, were killed in their home in Magnanville by an Islamist. Some time later, police investigating a woman for suspected links to ISIS made a shocking discovery: the woman had a USB that contained the personal details of thousands of French police officers.

Like the sensational news that the bodyguard assigned to Geert Wilders had been completely replaced after a police officer of Muslim origin, Faris, had passed sensitive information on the Dutch politician to gangs.

Remember how US Army Major Nidal Hasan, shouting "Allahu Akbar," killed 13 colleagues at the Fort Hood base in Texas? Who suspected him?

Numerous people reported his suspicious utterances. The chain of command somehow managed to be shocked when he tried to kill everyone.

The loss of border control is being followed by the loss of internal control. But worse still is the loss of control over one’s own identity. One thing is clear: parallel societies are growing in Europe. The authorities and the public have no idea.

The sooner we come to terms with our false conscience and reassuring lies, the sooner we will know how to defend ourselves. Alternatively, we can only say a prayer for the dead, dead because of the recklessness of a Western political and cultural class that every year doubles the stakes in a crazy experiment that can only end in a suicide.

Philadelphia: More on the Teen Jihadi who Planned to Bomb Pride Parade

[PJMedia] Muhyyee-Ud-din Abdul-Rahman is eighteen years old, and like many young men his age, he had big dreams. Abdul-Rahman wanted to become a bombmaker for jihad groups, and he researched the Philadelphia Pride parade and the Army-Navy game as potential targets. His father, a prominent far-left lawyer, had no comment, but one has to wonder: did this young man learn at home that this kind of behavior was acceptable?

The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported that Abdul-Rahman was nothing if not enterprising: he "conducted at least 12 tests on homemade bombs near his family’s home before he was arrested and was close to being able to detonate devices with a blast radius of several hundred yards."

Robert Listenbee, Philadelphia’s First Assistant District Attorney, adds that the would-be jihadi "had a scholarship to attend college as a wrestler and decided he wanted to become a bomb maker. He wanted to leave America and go to Syria to join a terrorist group. He developed bombs in his home and tested those bombs 12 to 20 times in his backyard and in the woods nearby. Some of the bomb-making parts were found in his trash before he was arrested."

As Abdul-Rahman was doing all this, it is extremely unlikely that his parents didn’t notice: "detectives found Abdul-Rahman was collecting materials to make explosives at his parents’ [home]."

Abdul-Rahman wanted make bombs for two jihad terror groups: Katibat al Tawhid wal Jihad (KTJ),

…made up of Turkic types: Uzbeks/Tajiks/Uighurs and based in Syria’s Idlib province — nothing at all to do with the spoilt kid of a Moslem African-American politician….

which is an al-Qaeda affiliate, and Hay’at Tahrir al Sham (HTS). He did not, however, intend to use his bomb-making skills only in Syria. CBS News notes that he was "was searching online for potential targets in the Philadelphia area, specifically the Philly Pride March and the Army-Navy game. He allegedly was also looking into targeting local power plants and domestic military bases."

How far has the apple fallen from the tree? Muhyyee-Ud-din Abdul-Rahman is the son of Qawi Abdul-Rahman, a prominent Philadelphia criminal defense attorney who ran in May 2023 for a seat as a Philadelphia Common Pleas Court judge. In a "vote for ten" election, Abdul-Rahman finished fourteenth, with 3.88% of the vote.

According to the Rantburg archives, Pops is a lawyer, wannabe judge so he could put his thumb on the scales for his people, father of three teenagers, loudly proud to be a child of the US Air Force and the Philadelphia projects — but he lives in the intersection of activist Islam and Black Lives Matter...

In a campaign video, Abdul-Rahman wears a djellaba, a flowing robe that is common in North Africa but usually worn in America only by Moslems who are extremely devout. His forehead also sports a superbly prominent zebiba, a dark mark caused by performing the repeated prostrations that are called for in Islamic prayer, and that is generally understood to be a sign of extraordinary piety.

Journalist Victor Fiorillo of Philly Mag reported back in Aug. 2023 that he contacted Qawi Abdul-Rahman to ask him about his son, and found the renowned attorney extremely bellicose: "You wanna find out what I’m really about?" Qawi Abdul-Rahman asked Fiorillo. "Text or call me one more time, and you’ll find out what I’m really about."

Qawi Abdul-Rahman has insisted, however, that he had little or no knowledge of what his son had been up to. He said he was "shocked and devastated" by his son’s arrest, adding, "I didn’t see it coming at all. At all. I go to court because I want people to know that Moslems are out here doing things in the community, for the community. I’m an American like everyone else."

Of course. Qawi Abdul-Rahman’s judge campaign page features another video that proclaims that "Black Judges Matter." In that video, he complains of judges who don’t give him and his clients the same attention and care they give to his "white counterparts." He complained about judges and court staff "looking at us as if we don’t belong."

Philadelphia officials are insisting that their young terror suspect was "radicalized on the Internet" and that his plans had nothing to do with Islam, but is anyone there looking into the possibility that his determination to strike against America arose from sources closer to home?

Some will defend Dr. Kablawi by saying he is calling for Allah to mass murder Jews, not fellow muslims. However, chapter 9 v 14-15 of the Quran indicates that Muslims will carry out Allah's wishes against unbelievers

So if Allah will punish the infidels by the hands of the believers, and Kablawi is praying that Allah would “annihilate” the Jews, it is not unreasonable to see that as a call for Muslims to get busy annihilating Jews, so that Allah can punish them by the Muslims’ hands.

That’s how many people have understood Kablawi’s prayer. Newsweek reported Monday that “Florida state Representative Randy Fine, chairman of the Florida House Health and Human Services Committee, submitted a letter to Dr. Jose R. Mellado, chairman of the Florida Board of Dentistry, requesting the suspension of Kablawi's dental license and an investigation into his practice.

Fine said that he had submitted this letter after some of Kablawi’s Jewish patients had contacted him, and his letter was right on point: "North Miami, where dentist Kablawi practices, contains many Jewish residents, none of whom could be considered safe in Imam Kablawi's dental chair, where he could personally implement what he is asking Allah to do.” Indeed he could.

Fine’s letter continued: “Practicing medicine in Florida is a privilege—not a right—and as the Chairman of the Florida House Health and Human Services Committee, I call on you to immediately suspend Dr. Kablawi's license and commence a thorough investigation into his practice. The lives of some of Florida's Jews could hang in the balance."

This wasn’t even the first time Kablawi said such a thing. MEMRI has also reported that Kablawi said, in a Friday sermon on March 8, “Allah revealed to the messengers, instantly: ‘We will defeat the oppressors, and We will make you the dwellers of their land, of their homes.’… By Allah, those settlements that they built, by Allah we will live in them.… By Allah, we will seize [them]. By Allah, we will enjoy [them]. By Allah, we will live in [them]. If it is not us, our children will live in [them]. By Allah, the law of Allah and the shari’a of Allah will rule the land.”

This would amount to a prediction of the total destruction of Israel, which would mean a new genocide of the Jews, and Kablawi wasn’t finished. He prayed, “Oh Allah, support their mujahideen. Oh Allah, guide their shooting. Oh Allah, support them with our soldiers. Oh Allah, bring annihilation upon enemies of Islam. Oh Allah, bring annihilation upon the accursed Zionists. Oh Allah, curse them and then curse them some more. Oh Allah, heal the breasts of the believers.”

That time, he stopped short of praying that Allah would “annihilate the Jews.” This time, he didn’t.

The Discovery From Denmark's Crime Stats That the Left Doesn't Want You to See

Back in 2020, Mattias Tesfaye, Denmark's minister for Immigration and Integration, did the unthinkable and decided to create a category for criminals from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), mostly Arab and/or Moslem nations. Guess what Denmark learned? MENA im~~migrants~~ colonists have a higher tendency for unemployment and ~~violent~~ mostly peaceful crime than any other ethnic group in Denmark.

FACT-O-RAMA! Moslem/Arab men are convicted for rape in Denmark seven times more than Danish-born men.

Leftists flipped their wigs when Denmark "singled out" the group — largely Moslem men — for committing the lion's share of crimes.

"Amazing, why not give them a little symbol to stitch on their clothes, so we can keep an eye on them," a social media commentator blasted, trying desperately to compare the peaceful Jews of Europe sent to concentration camps with the ~~violent~~ mostly peaceful and unemployed Moslems of Denmark.

Moslems in Denmark are allegedly "very frustrated" at being "stigmatized" for their wildly out-of-proportion crime and unemployment rates.

that "besieged" Moslems are feeling as they continue to be the most dangerous people in Denmark. Other members of the Pravda press spoke of Denmark's horrific "rape culture" but refused to point out who the rapists are most likely to be.

Who could have foreseen a Moslem rape epidemic in Denmark? Thousands of women in the UK and the police who ignored the sexual assaults at the hands of mostly Moslem Paks for fear of being called a "racist."

PJ Media's own Robert Spencer has covered the brutality of Asian grooming gangs Moslem rapists in the UK for years, as well as the way the police sat on their hands and allowed it to happen.

Back in 2016, when the rape epidemic was terrorizing Denmark (as it still is), politicians chose not to deport the attackers or curtail the entry of more. They decided to sponsor classes informing them that rape was unacceptable. It doesn’t seem to have worked. Perhaps that’s because the Qur’an allows the "sexual enslavement of infidel women" (see 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, and 70:30, as explained in Robert Spencer’s groundbreaking book, "The Critical Qur’an," page 63).

Moslem men had to choose to either follow the words of a Western teacher condemning rape or Allah, who condones it. How did Denmark think that was going to go down? Just as in the UK, Denmark threw women under the bus to avoid offending Moslem rapists and the "woke" jackpuddings who support them.

US schools becoming more supportive of Muslim students fasting during Ramadan

While Moslem students remain a rarity in many US school districts, they are a major presence in some communities, prompting public schools to be more attentive to their needs during the holy month of Ramadan when dawn-to-sundown fasting is a duty of Islam.

For example, in Dearborn, Michigan — where nearly half the 110,000 residents are of Arab descent — public school teachers and staff strive to make things easier for students observing Ramadan.

When a significant minority of the student population are doing something that impacts their attendance or performance, public school districts bow to the inevitable. The public school district where I went was about 10% Jewish, so the teachers didn’t bother with tests or key lessons on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (the Jewish New Year and the Day of Atonement), because we all were in synagogue instead of class. Also, with so many students of Polish descent, there was some silliness on Dyngus Day.

"We allow students on their own to practice their faith as long as it’s not a disruption to the school day," said Dearborn Schools spokesperson David Mustonen. "We also try to find other spaces or activities in the school during lunch for those students who may be fasting."

But he stressed that these students are still required to complete all assignments.

In St. Paul, Minnesota, East African Elementary Magnet School has set aside space in the library where students who are fasting and don’t want to be in the cafeteria can spend the break doing other supervised activities like reading, said principal Abdisalam Adam.

The 220-student school opened last fall as part of St. Paul’s public schools system, and shares that curriculum, but it also aims to reinforce cultural and linguistic connections with Somalia and other East African countries. Adam said about 90 percent of the students are Somali Moslems.

Adam, who has worked with the district for nearly 30 years, said he tells his staff that accommodating observance of Ramadan fits in with an overall goal of caring for students.

"All needs are connected," he said.

For school districts less familiar with Moslem traditions, resources are available. For example, Islamic Networks Group, a Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,-based nonprofit, provides, among other things, online information for educators about Ramadan and its significance to Moslems.

Many districts "don’t know very much about Islam or any of our holidays," said Maha Elgenaidi, the group’s executive director. "If they don’t know very much about it, there’s not much they can provide to students in terms of accommodation" until they learn more and the parents are actively involved in asking for accommodations.

She says fasting students may need to be excused from strenuous activities in gym class, and should be allowed to make up for tests missed due to absence to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday that follows Ramadan.

"If they’re not accommodated at school or the school doesn’t know anything about this, they’re kind of living dual lives there."

Fasting is not required of young children, but many Moslem children like to fast to share in the month’s rituals and emulate parents and older siblings, according to ING. Educators also need to know of the typical changes to Moslem families’ routines during Ramadan, such as waking up for the pre-dawn "suhoor" meal and staying up late to possibly attend prayers in the mosque, Elgenaidi said.

When Dr. Aifra Ahmed’s children were younger, the Pak American physician and her husband would share insight about Ramadan with their classmates, reading to them a Ramadan story and distributing goodie bags with such things as dates.

"I realized that the Moslem families in school have to do a lot of education," said Ahmed, who lives in Los Altos, California.

I did the same for the trailing daughters’ classes when they were in elementary school, though only for Hanukkah because it shares attention with Christmas. Credit to their teachers for trying, but none of them properly understood the material. An Indian mother similarly talked to their classes about Diwali.

The participants of the meeting underscored that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and any skewed and distorted interpretations of religion by certain entities are for their vested interests only and have nothing to do with Islamic teachings.
