New York Democrat Jackie Gordon, Who Was Relieved Of Duty In Military, Concedes In Race For US Congress
2020-11-20
[DAILYCALLER] New York Democratic congressional candidate Jackie Gordon conceded Wednesday afternoon to Republican candidate Andrew Garbarino.Garbarino released a statement after Gordon called him saying: "Jackie Gordon has just called me to concede and offer her congratulations. I look forward to getting to work." Republicans will hold on to the seat which was vacated by former Republican New York Rep. Peter King
...U.S. Representative for New York's 3rd (central Long Island) congressional district, serving since 1993. He is of the Publican persuasion and is known for his active support for the IRA Irish republican movement...
The Daily Caller released a report on Gordon which included military records that show she was subject to two investigations during her time in the U.S. Army, resulting in two separate recommendations that she be relieved of command, one of which was acted upon in Afghanistan.

"Sometimes you do right by your soldiers and things still happen. It’s complicated. It was a complicated situation," Gordon said when asked about the report in a local ABC 7 interview released Thursday.

The Caller published an article Oct. 19 after obtaining an unredacted Department of Defense document from a source with direct knowledge of an investigation into Gordon’s behavior as a lieutenant colonel from December 2011, as well as a redacted Department of Defense document, described as "interim findings," that shows Gordon was again under investigation in Afghanistan and was subsequently relieved of duty.

GOP Rep. King: ‘Severe, Serious Abuses' by FBI, CIA ‘Going to Come Out'
2019-07-08
[Breitbart] In a Sunday interview on John Catsimatidis’ New York AM 970 radio show, "The Cats Roundtable," Rep. Peter King (R-NY) predicted that "serious" and "severe abuses" by the FBI and CIA during the 2016 presidential run are "going to come out" as a result of President Donald Trump declassifying top-secret documents related to former FBI special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

King said he is "hopeful and confident" Attorney General William Barr will uncover the "bias" by the two agencies against then-candidate Donald Trump.

"There is no doubt to me there was severe, serious abuses that were carried out in the FBI and, I believe, top levels of the CIA against the president of the United States or, at that time, presidential candidate Donald Trump," King told Catsimatidis. "There was no legal basis at all for them to begin this investigation of his campaign and the way they carried it forward, and the way information was leaked."

He continued, "The improper applications they filed in the FISA courts to get surveillance. All of this is going to come out. It’s going to show the bias, it’s going to show the baselessness of the investigation and how dangerous it is to democracy. I would say the same thing if this were done to Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. It’s just wrong."

Nation of Islam receiving federal cash to teach prisoners
2018-12-19
[Wash Examiner] The Nation of Islam and its leaders have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the U.S. government since 2008 to teach religious study programs for federal prison inmates, according to records reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

A black nationalist group led by Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam preaches that white people are "blue-eyed devils" and Jews are "the synagogue of Satan." Its leaders have received at least $364,500 in contracts and awards from the U.S. Bureau of Prisons and the Department of Justice between fiscal 2008 and fiscal 2019.

The funding was designed to provide "Nation of Islam religious services," "Nation of Islam spiritual guide services," "Nation of Islam study services," and other related programming led by the organization’s leaders, according to Bureau of Prison records. The Nation of Islam has been labeled a hate group by the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

New York Republican Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, told the Washington Examiner the funding was "beyond the pale."

He said: "Categorically, no group or entity or individual associated any way with Farrakhan or the Nation of Islam should receive any federal funding. What Farrakhan preaches is hatred and anti-Semitism and racism, and to use any federal money for any group that’s he’s involved with that do any type of teaching or proselytizing is just wrong."

Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right, called the funding "really outrageous and remarkable." He noted that a court ruling in 2003 prohibited federal prisons from banning Nation of Islam reading materials on First Amendment grounds. But he said this ruling doesn’t require the U.S. government to provide money to the organization.

Iranian-Backed ‘Sleeper Cell’ Militants Hibernating in U.S., Positioned for Attack
2018-08-19
How exciting.
[FREEBEACON] Iranian-backed turbans are operating across the United States mostly unfettered, raising concerns in Congress and among regional experts that these "sleeper cell" agents are poised to launch a large-scale attack on the American homeland, according to testimony before politicians.

Iranian agents tied to the terror group Hezbollah have already been discovered in the United States plotting attacks, giving rise to fears that Tehran could order a strike inside America should tensions between the Trump administration and Islamic Theocratic Republic reach a boiling point.

Intelligence officials and former White House officials confirmed to Congress on Tuesday that such an attack is not only plausible, but relatively easy for Iran to carry out at a time when the Trump administration is considering abandoning the landmark nuclear deal and reapplying sanctions on Tehran.

There is mounting evidence that Iran poses "a direct threat to the homeland," according to Rep. Peter King
...U.S. Representative for New York's 3rd (central Long Island) congressional district, serving since 1993. He is of the Publican persuasion and is known for his active support for the IRA Irish republican movement...
(R., N.Y.), a member of the House Homeland Security Committee and chair of its subcommittee on counterterrorism and intelligence.

A chief concern is "Iranian support for Hezbollah, which is active in the Middle East, Latin America, and here in the U.S., where Hezbollah operatives have been nabbed
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
for activities conducted in our own country," King said, referring the recent arrest of two individuals plotting terror attacks in New York City and Michigan.

"Both individuals received significant weapons training from Hezbollah," King said. "It is clear Hezbollah has the will and capability."

After more than a decade of receiving intelligence briefs, King said he has concluded that "Hezbollah is probably the most experienced and professional terrorist organization in the world," even more so than ISIS and Al Qaeda.

Intelligence report exposing extensive FISA abuse could lead to the removal of senior government officials. Jail time?
2018-01-19
A review of a classified document outlining what is described as extensive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuse was made available to all House members Thursday and the revelations could lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and Department of Justice, several sources with knowledge of the document stated. These sources say the report is "explosive," stating they would not be surprised if it leads to the end of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation into President Trump and his associates.

The House Intelligence Committee passed the motion along party lines Thursday to make the classified report alleging extensive ’FISA Abuse’ related to the controversial dossier available to all House members. The report contains information regarding the dossier that alleges President Trump and members of his team colluded with the Russians in the 2016 presidential election. Some members of the House viewed the document in a secure room Thursday.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., offered the motion on Thursday to make the Republican majority-authored report available to the members.

"The document shows a troubling course of conduct and we need to make the document available, so the public can see it," said a senior government official, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the document. "Once the public sees it, we can hold the people involved accountable in a number of ways."

The government official said that after reading the document "some of these people should no longer be in the government."

The document also apparently outlines "several problematic" issues with how FISA warrants were "packaged, and used" state several sources with knowledge of the report.
Over the past year, whistleblowers in the law enforcement and intelligence community have revealed to Congress what they believe to be extensive abuse with regard to FISA surveillance, as previously reported.

The dossier was used in part as evidence for a warrant to surveil members of the Trump campaign, according to a story published this month. Former British spy Christopher Steele, who compiled the dossier in 2016, was hired by embattled research firm Fusion GPS. The firm’s founder is Glenn Simpson, a former Wall Street Journal reporter who has already testified before Congress in relation to the dossier. In October, The Washington Post revealed for the first time that it was the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC that financed Fusion GPS.
Congressional members are hopeful that the classified information will be declassified and released to the public.
"We probably will get this stuff released by the end of the month," stated a congressional member, who asked not to be named.

But the government official, who viewed the document said "it will be tough for a lot of people to see this and especially the media, which has been attempting to deemphasize the dossier. It’s going to punch a hole in their collusion narrative."

The House vote to make the report available to all members is a major step in exposing the long-guarded classified documents obtained by the House Intelligence Committee over the past year. It allows members of the House to view the report and could quickly lead to a motion to declassify the report for the public, numerous House members told this reporter.

"It’s a (House Intelligence) committee document that deals with the assessment on the Department of Justice, FBI and the oversight work that is being conducted by the committee," said a congressional source, which spoke on condition that they not be named.

Rep Mark Meadows saw the memo and said the following: " I viewed the classified report from House Intel relating to the FBI, FISA abuses, the infamous Russian dossier, and so-called "Russian collusion." What I saw is absolutely shocking."

Will the memo blow-up the faked Mueller Trump Russian collusion allegation/investigation and point it in the direction that it belongs--towards the Dems?--smack dab in the camp of Hillary, the apparatchiks and the Dems.

House votes to deport illegal immigrant gang members over Democratic objections
2017-09-15
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] The House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday aimed at keeping illegal immigrants colonists out of the U.S. if they are members of criminal gangs.

The Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act passed in a 233-175 vote, and was backed largely by GOP politicians, and opposed by most Democrats. The legislation was introduced by Rep. Barbara Comstock. R-Va.

The bill would require illegal immigrants colonists in gangs to be detained and deported, and ensures that gang members are not able to receive immigration benefits, including asylum, special immigrant juvenile status or temporary protected status.

"It will provide additional tools to law enforcement that will ensure that when [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] positively identifies a known alien gang member, they may act immediately," Comstock said on the House floor. "We don't have to wait until these brutal killers wield their machetes or leave another body on a children's playground."

Comstock's Northern Virginia district is home to members of the MS-13 gang, which has been responsible for eight deaths in the district since November, according to the congresswoman.

Reps. Peter King
...U.S. Representative for New York's 3rd (central Long Island) congressional district, serving since 1993. He is of the Publican persuasion and is known for his active support for the IRA Irish republican movement...
, R-N.Y., Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, and Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., were also key backers of the legislation.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., an opponent of the bill, argued that the bill could have unintended consequences, including the potential targeting of religious groups who harbor illegal immigrants colonists against deportation. She also warned that the Department of Homeland Security would have expanded authority to crack down on what the bill wrongfully allows to be thought of as a gang.

Potential 'smoking gun' showing Obama administration spied on Trump team
2017-03-24
[FOXNEWS] Republican congressional Sherlocks expect a potential "smoking gun" establishing that the B.O. regime spied on the Trump transition team, and possibly the president-elect himself, will be produced to the House Intelligence Committee this week, a source told Fox News.

Classified intelligence showing incidental collection of Trump team communications, purportedly seen by committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and described by him in vague terms at a bombshell Wednesday afternoon news conference, came from multiple sources, Capitol Hill sources told Fox News. The intelligence corroborated information about surveillance of the Trump team that was known to Nunes, sources said, even before President Trump accused his predecessor of having wiretappedhim in a series of now-infamous tweets posted on March 4.

The intelligence is said to leave no doubt the B.O. regime, in its closing days, was using the cover of legitimate surveillance on foreign targets to spy on President-elect Trump, according to sources.

The key to that conclusion is the unmasking of selected U.S. persons whose names appeared in the intelligence, the sources said, adding that the paper trail leaves no other plausible purpose for the unmasking other than to damage the incoming Trump administration.

The FBI hasn’t been responsive to the House Intelligence Committee’s request for documents, but the National Security Agency is expected to produce documents to the committee by Friday. The NSA document production is expected to produce more intelligence than Nunes has so far seen or described ‐ including what one source described as a potential "smoking gun" establishing the spying.

Some time will be needed to properly assess the materials, with the likely result being that congressional Sherlocks and attorneys won’t have a solid handle on the contents of the documents ‐ and their implications ‐ until next week.

Bob Woodward: Obama officials possibly facing criminal charges for unmasking scheme

[Washington Examiner] The Washington Post's Bob Woodward warned on Wednesday that there are people from the Obama administration who could be facing criminal charges for unmasking the names of Trump transition team members from surveillance of foreign officials.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said earlier that he had briefed Trump on new information, unrelated to an investigation into Russian activities, that suggested that several members of Trump's transition team and perhaps Trump himself had their identities "unmasked" after their communications were intercepted by U.S. intelligence officials.

The revelation is notable because identities of Americans are generally supposed to remain "masked" if American communications are swept up during surveillance of foreign individuals.

Serious claim: FBI's Comey 'falsely' denied surveillance

[WND] The lawyer who founded Judicial Watch and later Freedom Watch, Larry Klayman, has sent a letter to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, asking him to look at a whistleblower’s evidence of "systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans, again including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen such as Donald Trump, and even yours truly."

That spying was done, Klayman’s letter contends, by the FBI.

It’s become a major issue following President Trump’s assertion that he and Trump Tower were spied upon by the federal government, and the subsequent denials by intelligence and law-enforcement officials, including FBI Director James Comey, who famously cleared Hillary Clinton on accusations she mishandled classified information as U.S. secretary of state.

Klayman has been working with Dennis Montgomery, a former NSA and Central Intelligence Agency contractor who "left the NSA and CIA with 47 hard drives and over 600 million pages of information, much of which is classified."

Montgomery then "sought to come forward legally as a whistleblower to appropriate government entities, including congressional intelligence committees, to expose that the spy agencies were engaged for years in systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans."

Explained Klayman: "Working side by side with former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who lied in congressional testimony, and former Obama Director of the CIA, the equally ethically challenged John Brennan, Montgomery witnessed ’up close and personal’ this "Orwellian Big Brother’ intrusion on privacy, likely for potential coercion, blackmail or other nefarious purposes."

GOP Rep Peter King: 99.5 Percent Accurate to Say Obama Admin Surveilled Trump Transition

Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” Rep. Peter King (R-NY), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, admitted after his committee’s review of President Donald Trump’s claim the Obama administration had wiretapped his transition team, he had a “legitimate case to make,” but said he may have overstepped with his Twitter claim.

“[T]he president had a very legitimate case to make,” King said. “He overstepped it by saying President Obama ordered wiretapping. That we don’t know, but what we do know is to me this is shameful.”

Host Bill O’Reilly pressed King on the seriousness of Trump being “surveilled,” to which King said it was at least 99.5 percent correct he was surveilled.

“I would say, from all I know, you’re at least 99-and-a-half percent accurate, and probably 100 percent,” he replied.

NSA could provide ‘smoking gun’ proof Obama admin was spying on Trump by Friday

[HOT AIR] Fox News’ James Rosen has a significant entry in the ongoing debate over possible surveillance of the Trump team by the Obama administration. It’s a report based on anonymous sources who claim the NSA will provide “smoking gun” proof the last administration was keeping tabs on the current one:

Intelligence Expert: Obama Committed Surveillance Crimes – Should be Jailed (Video)

[Gateway Pundit] A massive amount of data on 47 hard drives from a government whistle blower was turned over to the Freedom Watch group recently. The information proves Obama and company spied on everyone.

Freedom Watch notifies congress of a “Deep State” intelligence community whistle blower, Dennis Montgomery, with hundreds of millions of documents showing CIA and FBI and Intelligence Committees were spying on, and conducting surveillance on, American citizens for political purposes.

Mr. Montgomery is trying to use a legal “whistle-blower” process and not follow the same approach as Edward Snowden.

Rush on Comey Hearing: Message to DJT - Stop the ‘Drain-the-Swamp Stuff' or Face Impeachment
2017-03-21
[Breitbart] Monday on his nationally syndicated radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh maintained a House Intelligence Committee hearing that featured testimony from FBI Director James Comey and NSA Director Michael Rogers was meant to send a message to President Donald Trump and his administration.

Limbaugh argued that although there were some good questions from Republicans members during the hearing, it was meant to be a warning shot at Trump -- allow Washington Republicans to run the town or face possible impeachment.

Partial transcript as follows (courtesy of RushLimbaugh.com):

These hearings today, what happened last week and the week before that, what happened during the transition period... What all of this is can be explained simply by saying, "Look at how terrified they are in the Washington-New York establishment, of Donald Trump and draining the swamp." The Never Trumpers on both sides of the aisle. There are conservative Never Trumpers today celebrating over the fact that Comey made it official that there’s an investigation of Trump and colluding with the Russians.

These people know that there isn’t any evidence of this, but that doesn’t matter. What everybody in Washington supports is the smearing, the slander, and the libel of Donald Trump. And these hearings today? The FBI director, James Comey, is trying to save the jobs of a lot of people. He’s trying to save the careers of a whole lot of people -- his included -- in, I think, an inappropriate way. And the Republicans in this committee? Look folks, I’ve been waiting. I’ve been patiently waiting. I’ve been trying to hold it, keep the powder dry. But the Republicans on this committee...

I know it’s early, and they’re gonna go on all day. But so far, outside of Trey Gowdy and a question from Peter King and Devin Nunes the chairman, there just hasn’t been much. For example, "Are you still investigating the Clinton Foundation, Director Comey?" "I can’t say." By the way, Comey said he got special permission to reveal this investigation. Who gave him that special permission? He said he went to the Department of Justice. Who’s over there? Who runs that? That it would be Jeff Sessions.

The Trump administration itself granted permission for Comey to announce this today. (interruption) Well, no. My point there is that there’s no attempted cover-up of anything going on there. The Trump administration could very well have said, Jeff Sessions could have said, "Comey, look, it’s just like you said last summer about Hillary: We don’t detail ongoing investigations." But he today was given permission to do just that, and he’s running with it. And the whole point of this today -- and, by the way, it doesn’t mean I’m not gonna go through this and give you what the real news of these hearings is today and what the backdrop of all this is.

Because there’s a really salient factor that’s driving this from the Democrat side that is never going to be reported or commented on, which I’m going to touch on myself today. But, as I say, the purpose of this is to further the narrative that Trump is illegitimate, that he should not be president, that his election was the result of tampering by the Russians. So the objective is that Trump either stops this reform business he’s got, stops this drain-the-swamp stuff, and starts letting the Washington Republicans run the town again, or they’re gonna impeach him.

That’s the message being sent today: "You either straighten up and fly right or you’re gone."

"We’re coming for you," is the message of these hearings today.

GOP rep Pete King: Klingon director leaked RU hacking information to press
2016-12-19
[The Hill] Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) is accusing CIA Director John Brennan of leaking Russian hacking information to the press and is calling for an investigation into "the hit job" that King says Brennan is conducting against President-elect Donald Trump.

"That's what infuriates me about this, Martha, is that we have John Brennan, supposedly John Brennan, leaking to The Washington Post, to a biased newspaper like The New York Times, findings and conclusion that is he's not telling the intelligence committee," King told ABC’s "This Week" on Sunday.

King said while he is "willing to accept" that the Russians hacked the Democratic National Committee, it is "uncertain" whether or not the Russians were responsible for the hack of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails.

"It seems like to me -- there should be an investigation what the Russians did but also an investigation of John Brennan and the hit job he seems to be orchestrating against the president-elect," he said.

The Washington Post reported earlier this month on a secret CIA assessment that found Russia had meddled in the U.S. election in an effort to help Trump win.

Lawmakers fume over Agency refusal to brief House panel on RU hacking claims (Video)
2016-12-15
[FOX] Anger on Capitol Hill boiled over Wednesday night after the intelligence community’s alleged "intransigence" forced the cancellation of a House Intelligence Committee briefing on claims of Russian interference in the U.S. election.

"Somebody has the time to leak it to The Washington Post and The New York Times, but they don’t have the time to come to Congress," Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., a member of the committee, told Fox News' "The Kelly File." "It’s their job to come. They don’t have any choice. They have to come in, especially when they have created this."

Amid concerns about reports that conflict with details previously provided to the committee, Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., originally had requested a closed, classified briefing for members from the FBI, CIA, Office of the Director of National Intelligence and National Security Agency.

Peter King: Russia, Iran Moving on Many Fronts Against US
2015-02-16
[Breitbart] Sunday on AM 970 New York'€™s '€œThe Cats Roundtable,'€ in discussing the chaos in Yemen with host John Catsimatidis, Rep. Peter King (R- NY) said the American people need to understand Russia and Iran are moving on many fronts and constantly plotting against against the U.S. and our allies.
Understand? Some of us have understood it for decades.
King explained, '€œThe Saudis are willing to lower energy prices because of the Russian meddling and the threat from Iran. They figure the best way to undercut them is to take away their economic power and they do that by basically dropping the price of oil on the world market. Both Russians and the Iranians want to get back at the Saudis. There is absolutely no doubt about it. The Houthis in Yemen are again, the Iranian force there, the Iranian supported force there. Iran is moving on many fronts. The Russians are moving on many fronts. Unfortunately, Americans, we take one thing at a time. The fact the Russians and the Iranians, al-Qaeda and all their affiliates, they move on many fronts and they never stop. We think we can get back to our normal lives going to breakfast and dinners, and little league games, and watching the Super Bowl, but the fact is these people do nothing but try and plot against us and we have to keep that in mind.'€
Appears Pete may have acquired an advance copy of Netanyahu'€™s planned speech to Congress.

Ebola ruled out as passenger dies on Nigeria flight to JFK
2014-10-18
[NYPOST] A passenger died on a Nigeria-to-JFK flight after a vomiting fit Thursday -- and a top politician said officials gave the corpse only a "cursory" exam before declaring that the victim did not have Ebola.

Rep. Peter King
...U.S. Representative for New York's 3rd (central Long Island) congressional district, serving since 1993. He is of the Publican persuasion and is known for his active support for the IRA Irish republican movement...
said in a letter to Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection that the handling of the remains exposed serious flaws in airport preparedness for an Ebola outbreak.

Between 70 and 100 passengers a day arrive at JFK from the Ebola epicenter countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, King noted, and they have access to public restrooms and mingle with other travelers before their first screening.
