The blasts came hours after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire agreement. "What just happened to the ceasefire? Explosions are heard all over Srinagar," Abdullah wrote on his social media page. CNN reported that there were “multiple” explosions. ANI reported that drones were seen in the skies over Udhampur. According to these reports, the air defense system was activated and the city’s electricity was cut off. As reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier on May 10, US President Donald Trump said that India and Pakistan, with Washington's mediation, had agreed to a complete ceasefire. The parties confirmed this statement, and the ceasefire came into effect.
The conflict between India and Pakistan began to escalate on April 22, after a terrorist group attacked tourists in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. At least 27 people were killed in the attack. The attackers managed to escape.
More from regnum.ru Indian Foreign Ministry Accuses Pakistan of Ceasefire Violation The Pakistani side violated the agreement with India on establishing a ceasefire, Indian First Deputy Foreign Minister Vikram Misri said on May 10. ![]() "There have been repeated violations of the agreement reached earlier this evening between the Directors General of Military Operations of India and Pakistan in the last two hours," Misri told reporters. He stressed that the Indian Armed Forces are giving an adequate response to violations. The Indian diplomatic mission called on Pakistan to take appropriate measures to eliminate violations and "treat the situation seriously and responsibly." Misri added that the Indian Armed Forces "have been instructed to deal decisively with any instance of recurrence of border violations along the international border." As reported by Regnum news agency, the conflict between India and Pakistan escalated after a terrorist group attacked a group of tourists in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. At least 26 people were killed in the attack. Two days later, India blocked the flow of the Indus River into Pakistan and expelled Pakistan's military attachés. In turn, Pakistani authorities suspended bilateral agreements with New Delhi, closed Indian airspace, and declared that any attempt to stop or divert the flow of water would be considered an act of war. There have been several exchanges of fire along the border between the two countries, and there have been reports of dogfights between fighter jets, drone strikes and missile strikes. Both sides have accused each other of attacking civilian targets and have expressed their willingness to stop escalating in the wake of their adversary. | ||||

Indian troops responded swiftly and effectively: Indian Army JAMMU AND KASHMIR Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has called one-day special session of Legislative Assembly on Monday to pay homage and discuss the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives. As many as 629 Indians, including 13 diplomats and officials, have returned from Pakistan through the international border crossing located in Punjab. Speaking to Russian TV channel, Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif sought China and Russia's help in investigating of Pahalgam attack. Terrorists and their backers carried out the Pahalgam attack to destroy Kashmir again as they did not like the return of peace and prosperity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday and vowed the "harshest" response to the "perpetrators and conspirators" At least 54 terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have been killed while trying to infiltrate from Afghanistan into northwest Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military's media wing said on Sunday. Authorities here have demolished the houses of three alleged active terrorists in Bandipora, Pulwama and Shopian districts of Jammu and Kashmir as security forces continued their crackdown on the terror ecosystem following the Pahalgam terror attack. With this, nine houses of suspected terrorists and overground workers of terror outfits have been razed so far since the April 22 attack in the lush meadows of Baisaran that killed 26 people and left the nation grief-stricken and fuming. Security Forces Narrow In On Pahalgam Terrorists 'Four Times' In South Kashmir [OneIndia] Security forces have located the Pahalgam attackers "at least four times" at various locations over the past five days, coming "very close" to cornering them in the forests of South Kashmir - and, on one occasion, even exchanging fire with them, The Indian Express reported. According to sources, the terrorists were tracked using information from local residents, intelligence inputs, and combing operations. "It's a cat and mouse game. There have been instances where they have been visibly located. But by the time they could be engaged, they had escaped. The forests are extremely dense, making it difficult to pursue them even after spotting them. However, we are confident we will capture them; it is only a matter of days," an officer from the military establishment told the newspaper. The Army, in coordination with Central Armed Police Forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, has been conducting cordon and search operations in the forests surrounding Pahalgam in pursuit of the four terrorists - including two from Pakistan - responsible for the killing of 26 people at Baisaran meadow on 21 April. Sources indicated that the terrorists were first sighted near Hapat Nar village in Pahalgam tehsil, Anantnag, but managed to escape by exploiting the dense terrain. Subsequently, they were reportedly spotted in the forests of Kulgam, where a brief exchange of fire occurred with security forces before they fled once more. The group was later located near the Tral ridge and then in Kokernag, where they are currently believed to be operating. Sources said the manhunt has been complicated by the terrorists' extreme caution in securing supplies. "Typically, terrorists need to arrange for food, which often draws them to villages. At times, they use local contacts to bring supplies to them in the forests, generating human intelligence that gives security forces an opportunity to act. However, these individuals are operating with great care," said an officer. "We are aware of an incident where they entered a house at dinner time, seized food, and fled. By the time security forces were alerted and arrived, significant time had passed, allowing the terrorists to escape," he added. Another complication, sources mentioned, is the lighter snowfall in the Kishtwar range this season. "This provides the terrorists with the opportunity to cross towards the Jammu side, where the forests are denser and the terrain more challenging. They have been using the Kishtwar range to manoeuvre, but we believe they are still within South Kashmir," the officer said. "There is a 'front door' to the Kashmir side and a 'back door' leading towards Jammu. Recently, foreign terrorists have increasingly been infiltrating and operating via the Jammu side. Our counter-infiltration grid is not as robust there compared to North Kashmir," he noted. Security forces remain optimistic that the terrorists will eventually make a mistake and be neutralised. For instance, sources revealed that the attackers took two mobile phones from the tourists they killed at Baisaran. "It is anticipated that these phones may be used to establish communication locally or across the border. Our technical intelligence network is closely monitoring these devices for potential leads," they said. Meanwhile, the counter-infiltration grid on both the Jammu and Kashmir sides has been strengthened, and border forces placed on high alert to prevent the terrorists from escaping across. The Jammu and Kashmir Police are also interrogating suspected overground workers linked to terror outfits in South Kashmir to gather intelligence and ascertain whether additional individuals were involved in the attack. The investigation is focusing on the logistical support the terrorists may have received in planning and executing the assault. India Bans 16 Pakistani YouTube Channels For Spreading Misinformation After Pahalgam Terror Attack [OneIndia] The blocked platforms include the YouTube channels of major news organisations such as Geo News, Dawn, Raftar, Bol News, ARY News, Samaa TV, and Suno News. Turkey Sends Combat Equipment To Pakistan Amid Rising India-Pakistan Tensions After Pahalgam Attack [OneIndia] Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, Turkey has shown its support for Islamabad by sending combat equipment. A Turkish Air Force C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft arrived in Karachi on Sunday, carrying military supplies. Sources indicate that this move forms part of broader defence cooperation between the two nations. In addition to Karachi, up to six Turkish C-130 aircraft have reportedly landed at a military base in Islamabad, underlining Turkey's backing of Pakistan, particularly as Pakistan struggles to manage growing challenges along its international borders. Both Turkish and Pakistani sources have confirmed the transfer of military cargo, although precise details of the shipments have not been disclosed. Significantly, Turkey is standing by Pakistan at a time of heightened regional instability, especially in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and the renewed conflict between India and Pakistan over Kashmir. Turkey's military assistance complements similar support from China, which has reportedly supplied drones to enhance Pakistan's defensive capabilities. This strategic collaboration underscores the strengthening defence ties among Turkey, Pakistan, and China. Analysts monitoring these developments suggest that these alliances are reshaping South Asia's geopolitical landscape, particularly as military activity across the region continues to intensify. For Pakistan, which is currently mobilising resources along its borders, the arrival of this military equipment is seen as crucial reinforcement amid mounting threats. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has activated several key air bases - including Pensi, Skardu, and Swat - in response to rising regional tensions with India. Fighter jets including F-16s, J-10s, and JF-17s have been deployed at these bases, with combat air patrols (CAP) already underway. This initiative is part of the PAF's broader strategy to bolster its defensive capabilities and ensure swift response readiness. It is noteworthy that Skardu airbase has been upgraded to serve as a critical hub, supporting Pakistan's fighter aircraft in air defence operations, surveillance, and combat readiness. |

(IIOJK) raked a construction site work camp with bullets, killing seven people and wounding several others, Indian media reported Monday. The attack on Sunday is one of the worst this year targeting civilians. The contested territory's chief minister, Omar Abdullah, called the attack late Sunday "dastardly and cowardly", while India's interior minister Amit Shah vowed those responsible would face the "harshest" response. Attackers targeted workers from outside the Himalayan region, who were reported to be building a tunnel connecting IIOJK with the far northern Ladakh region, AFP reported. Among the seven killed was a doctor, the Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency reported on Monday, adding several others were maimed. Abdullah, who was sworn in as the region's chief minister on Wednesday after its first local elections for a decade, said he strongly condemned the attack on "non-local labourers". Soon after the attack, Abdullah confirmed two people had been killed but had warned there were also "a number of injured labourers, both local and non-local". Shah called the killings "a despicable act of cowardice", in a statement. "Those involved in this heinous act will not be spared, and will face the harshest response from our security forces," Shah said. The attack took place Gagangir in Sonamarg region, where Nitin Gadkari, India's minister of roads said the "innocent labourers" had been working on a "vital infrastructure project". Gunmen fired automatic weapons at the camp from forested hills around, Indian newspapers reported. Nine Indian Hindu pilgrims were killed and dozens more maimed in June when a gunman opened fire on a bus carrying them from a shrine in Reasi district. |

J&K: Released From House Arrest After 4 Years, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Breaks Down At Friday Sermon |

In other words, a willing tool of Pakistan, but after the last few years it’s become a broken reed instead of a cudgel... chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq turned emotional after being released from house arrest after four years, earlier on 22nd September. He broke into tears while delivering the Friday sermon at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir![]() Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". As per officials, Farooq was detained after the GOI went ahead and abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution of India in August 2019 and it has now been after four years that he has finally been released. As per PTI, the Mirwaiz will be allowed to take part in the Friday congregational prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid in the Nowhatta area here, the officials from the Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid, the management committee of the mosque said. "Senior police officials visited the residence of the Mirwaiz on Thursday to inform him that the authorities have decided to release him from house detention and allow him to go to Jamia Masjid for Friday prayers," the Auqaf said in a statement. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah welcoming the decision said, "We welcome this step by the government. He should not have been held under house arrest for so long. Now that he has been released it means that the situation here is not so bad and elections can be conducted. We hope he will fulfill his socio-religious role now." as reported by ANI. Reportedly, Mirwaiz was released shortly after he filed a petition with the J&K High Court. On 15th September, the court asked the J&K administration for a response and gave them a four-week period to do so. Before this, Mirwaiz had also sent a legal notice to the J&K administration over his "house detention" on 18th August. The notice mentions that the Jammu and Kashmir administration denied Mirwaiz's detention and said that he was free to relocate to any location. However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... "on the other hand, the deployment of a large contingent of security forces outside the Nigeen residence of my client nullifies the aforesaid stand of lieutenant governor...," as per the notice by Mirwaiz's lawyer as quoted in Media reports. A months-long internet shutdown followed as India bolstered its armed forces in the region to contain protests. Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Ashish Dhonack, and Deputy Superintendent Humayun Bhat were critically injured in the shootout with Lions of Islam that ensued in the Garol area of Anantnag district in the morning hours of Wednesday. The officers gave up the ghost during the treatment, the officials said. The banned Resistance® Front, believed to be a shadow group of Pakistain-based Lashker-e-Taiba, has grabbed credit for the attack. "Shocked to hear about army troops from 50 RR (Rashtriya Rifles) storming into a mosque at Pulwama and forcing Moslems inside to chant ’Jai Shree Ram’. Such a move when [Home Minister] Amit Shah is here and that too ahead of yatra (a Hindu pilgrimage) is simply an act of provocation," said former CM Mehbooba Mufti in reaction to the reports. Similarly, former CM Omar Abdullah termed the reports "deeply distressing". "It’s bad enough they entered but then forcing people to chant slogans like ’Jai Shree Ram’ as reported by the locals there, is unacceptable," he said, referring to a Hindu religious slogan. He expressed hope that Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh would issue instructions for the reports to be investigated in a "timely and transparent manner". THE INCIDENT According to Indian news website The Wire, the residents of Zadoora — a village in occupied Kashmir’s Pulwama area — said the alleged incident took place on June 24 around 1:30am when soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles, a counter-insurgency force, arrived at the village, reportedly along with an unidentified officer. "While the officer was sitting on the bonnet of one of the vehicles, the soldiers asked me to come out," Mohammad Altaf Bhat, a Zadoora local and chairman of the Zadoora Civil Society group, told The Wire. "I thought that they were looking for some suspects in the village," he said, adding that the soldiers told him that a new team was being posted in the area and it was conducting a mock drill in the village to teach recruits how to carry out counter-insurgency operations. "I told them that the operation could have been carried out during the day also and it was wrong to disturb villagers in the middle of the night," the report quoted Bhat as saying, who said the villagers were kept awake till dawn. Then around dawn, Bhat told The Wire, Indian army soldiers followed the muezzin (one who makes call for prayers). "In the middle of the azaan (call to prayer), the soldiers forced him to chant ’Jai Shree Ram’ slogans," he alleged. According to the report, area residents alleged that Indian army soldiers detained at least 10 villagers during their exercise and five of them were beaten up, including Bhat’s son. "They (soldiers) forced the detained youngsters to chant ’Jai Shree Ram’ slogans in chorus behind him also," Bhat further claimed. Moreover, The Wire quoted local sources as alleging that the army also vandalised the Jamia Masjid Zadoora. Meanwhile, ...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth had turned a paler shade of blue. Star-A-Star had struck again... Indian news website Scroll.in reported that a similar incident reportedly took place in at least one other mosque in the area. The Wire quoted a senior army officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, as saying that the incident had "come into their notice". "We are ascertaining the facts. Once we have clarity about what has happened, we will share the details," the report quoted the officer as saying. Meanwhile, ...back at the Council of Boskone, Kinnison began his slow infiltration of the sewer system... The Telegraph quoted Bhat as saying that high-ranking army officials had apologised to the villagers on Sunday, adding that the officials had said that an army major involved in the incident was also removed. "We are satisfied with the army’s action but we don’t want a repeat of such incidents," he said. |

[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency conducted raids at 11 locations in Kashmir![]() Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... in connection with a case of The Resistence Front recruiting, motivating the youths of the Union Territory to carried out The NIA raided 6 locations in district Srinagar, 2 in Baramulla, 1 in Awantipora, 1 in Budgam and 1 in Kulgam. The case on hand relates to the activities of the The Resistence Front a frontal organization of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. The NIA said that the self-styled commander of the outfit, Sajjad Gul has been radicalising and motivating the youth of J&K to undertake In another development the NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet against to TRF operatives. The case relates to the recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device from one Nadeem ul-Haq from Bhatindi, Jammu. He at the behest of his Pakistain based handler had attempted to carry out a blast in a public place in Jammu. Investigation has unearthed a larger conspiracy hatched by the Pak handlers of TRF, involved in recruitment and planning to activate a significant number of radicalized youth through social media platforms to target security personnel and public places with an intention to wage war against government of India, the NIA said. Ever since the inception of the The Resistence Front, it has been notorious for targeting civilians. Officials tell OneIndia that the primary motive of the outfit is to target the minority community in Jammu and Kashmir. Last year it was involved in the killing of a Kashmiri pandit, Makhan Lal Bindroo. In the first incident, faceless myrmidons fired at a chemist, M L Bindro at the Iqbal Park area of Srinagar. He succumbed on the way to hospital. The incident took place at around 7 pm. Releasing a statement after the attacks, spokesperson for The Resistance® Front, Umar Wani said that the group had carried out three assassinations in North Kashmir. He said that Bindro was killed because he was an RSS worker. In the second attack the TRF killed one Virender Paswan. The outfit termed him as a non-local informer of the Intelligence Bureau. The third attack was on Shafi Lone, whom the TRF termed as an informer. The attack took place at the Shahgund area of Hajin in Bandipora district. In its statement, the TRF said that it would continue with attacks on RSS workers and non-local informers. We will continue with the attacks and strike fear in the hearts of these people the statement also read. Investigations by the police are underway and a search has been launched for the terrorists. Omar Abdullah tweeted, "Another assassination in Srinagar. A poor non-local handcart stall owner selling golguppas has been shot and has reportedly departed this vale of tears. No words of condemnation are enough. May his soul rest in peace." The TRF is an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba which was formed last year. The TRF has largely local faceless myrmidons and since the day of its formation, it has targeted Hindus and people which it thinks are informers of the police. An official tells OneIndia that the intention is to drive fear into the minds of the people. The TRF has specifically targeted Hindus and those in support of peace in Jammu and Kashmir, the officer also said. |
