EU donated £140,000 to Khomeinist group that described zionism as a 'criminal enterprise'
2018-12-23
[Telegraph] A group awarded more than £140,000 of EU funding hosted a speaker who described Zionism as a global "criminal enterprise" that seeks control of "democratic rights".

Speaking a fortnight ago on a panel organised by the Islamic Human Rights Commission,
... a non-profit based in London since 1997, the group has been described as “the most conspicuous promoter of Khomeini jihadism in the UK, ... [and] is said to be close to Iran.” They advocate for Sharia law, BDS, and Muslim prisoners, and are a key organizer of London’s annual Al Quds Day activities...
Ramon Grosfoguel, a Puerto Rican academic, said the state of Israel was an "extremist organization" that has the "audacity" to label Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbung millipede, and Hezbollah, the holy warrior groups, as terrorist organizations.

Addressing the IHRC's conference in London, Prof Grosfoguel also claimed that "Zionists" were "encouraging the rise of extreme right new fascist
...anybody not a leftist...
groups".

The disclosure comes after The Sunday Telegraph revealed last week that the European Commission had signed off more than £140,000 in funding to the group.

The Telegraph can also disclose that the IHRC published a post on its website praising Omar Abdul Rahman, the krazed killer holy man convicted for conspiracy to levy a war of urban terrorism against the US.

In the 2013 post, while he was in prison, the holy man is described "a living example of courage and unshakable faith for the Moslem Ummah today."

The IHRC urged supporters to write to him during Ramadan, with a sample letter stating: "Your life is such an inspiration to me ‐ how you battled the challenges in your life to continue to struggle for what you believed in."

Last week The Sunday Telegraph disclosed that the European Commission had allocated more than £140,000 to the IHRC in 2016.

The group organises the annual Al Quds rally in London at which demonstrators call for the destruction of Israel.

The European Commission said last week that it was preparing to "terminate" its funding agreement based on allegations that the IHRC had "expressed anti-Semitic views."

Addressing the IHRC conference earlier this month, Prof Grosfoguel said: "The Israeli State is an krazed killer organization that practices and promotes terrorism.

But at the same time they have the audacity of declaring terrorist and anti-Semitic the same organization that resists their atrocities."

In a video of the event posted on the IHRC Facebook page, Prof Grosfoguel is seen describing Zionism as "a criminal enterprise that pretends to be normalised everywhere and that has the audacity to criminalise everybody who resists them."

He added: "There's a Zionist industry that has put together a global institutional framework to put things upside down and make us believe that what they're doing is defensive and resisting the terrorists.

"In the process of shaping the institutional framework to criminalise critics of Israel and to criminalise support to the resistance, they are contributing to the elimination of basic democratic rights in the west and encouraging the rise of extreme right new fascist groups."

Dave Rich, head of policy at the Community Security Trust, which monitors anti-Semitism, said: "This speech evokes classical antisemitic conspiracy theories, with its talk of global Zionist frameworks and lobbies controlling what people think, and it does so to encourage people to support terrorist groups that are banned in this country. It is yet another example of the IHRC's extremism."

He added that it was "appalling" that the European Commission had agreed to fund the IHRC. Fiyaz Mughal, director of Faith Matters, a counter-extremism group, said it was "disgusting" that the IHRC's website contained a "fawning" message about Abdul Rahman.

He said: "How can this convict who wanted to destroy innocent lives, masquerading as a Sheikh, produce anything but revulsion in anyone for his collusion in a major terrorist plot? "

Judicial Watch: Defense, State Department Documents Reveal Obama Administration Knew that al Qaeda Terrorists Had Planned Benghazi Attack 10 Days in Advance
2015-05-19
Judicial Watch announced today that it obtained more than 100 pages of previously classified "Secret" documents from the Department of Defense (DOD)and the Department of State revealing that DOD almost immediately reported that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was committed by the al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood-linked "Brigades of the Captive Omar Abdul Rahman" (BCOAR), and had been planned at least 10 days in advance. Rahman is known as the Blind Sheikh, and is serving life in prison for his involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and other terrorist acts. The new documents also provide the first official confirmation that shows the U.S. government was aware of arms shipments from Benghazi to Syria. The documents also include an August 2012 analysis warning of the rise of ISIS and the predicted failure of the Obama policy of regime change in Syria.
Just finishing up "13 Hours." This revelation gives it additional poignancy.

Algeria Crisis Ends in Bloodbath and France Confirms Troops Will Stay in Mali to 'Defeat Terrorism'
2013-01-20
[An Nahar] A dramatic four-day hostage crisis at an Algerian gas plant ended in a bloodbath Saturday when Islamists executed all seven of their remaining foreign captives as troops stormed the desert complex.

Twenty-one hostages, including an unknown number of foreigners, died during the siege that began when the al-Qaeda-linked gunnies attacked the facility deep in the Sahara at dawn on Wednesday, the interior ministry said.

Thirty-two kidnappers were also killed, and special forces were able to free "685 Algerian workers and 107 foreigners," the ministry said.

The kidnappers led by Algerian Mokhtar Belmokhtar, a former al-Qaeda commander in North Africa, killed two people on a bus, a Briton and an Algerian, before taking hundreds of workers hostage when they overran the In Amenas complex.

Belmokhtar's "Signatories in Blood" group had been demanding an end to French military intervention against jihadists in neighboring Mali.

In Saturday's assault, "the Algerian army took out 11 terrorists, and the terrorist group killed seven foreign hostages," state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
said, without giving a breakdown of their nationalities.

A security official who spoke to AFP as army helicopters overflew the plant gave the same corpse counts, adding it was believed the foreigners were executed "in retaliation".

As experts began to clear the complex of bombs planted by the Islamists, residents of In Amenas breathed a collective sigh of relief.

"We went from a peaceful situation to a terror situation," said one resident who gave his name as Fouad.

"The plant could have went kaboom! and taken out the town," said another.

Brahim Zaghdaoui said he was not surprised by the Algerian army's ruthless final assault.

"It was predictable that it would end like that," he said.

Most of the hostages had been freed on Thursday when Algerian forces launched a rescue operation, which was widely condemned as hasty.

But French President Francois Hollande
...the Socialist president of La Belle France, and a fine job he's doing of it...
and U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta
...current SecDef, previously Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Panetta served as President Bill Clinton's White House Chief of Staff from 1994 to 1997 and was a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1977 to 1993....
refused to lay the blame on Algeria.

The Algiers government's response was "the most appropriate" given it was dealing with "coldly determined bully boyz ready to kill their hostages," said Hollande.

Panetta added: "They are in the region, they understand the threat from terrorism... I think it's important that we continue to work with (Algiers) to develop a regional approach."

British Defense Secretary Philip Hammond said the crisis had been "brought to an end by a further assault by Algerian forces, which has resulted in further loss of life".

"We're pressing the Algerians for details on the exact situation," he said.

The deaths were "appalling and unacceptable and we must be clear that it is the bully boyz who bear sole responsibility for it," he told a news conference with Panetta.

The hostage-taking was the largest since the 2008 Mumbai attack, and the biggest by jihadists since hundreds were killed in a Moscow theater in 2002 and at a school in the Russian town of Beslan in 2004, according to monitoring group IntelCenter.

Foreign Secretary William Hague said five British nationals and a British resident are dead or unaccounted for.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan said he had received "severe information" about 10 of his country's nationals who were still missing.

On Friday the gunnies, cited by Mauritania's ANI news agency, said they were still holding "seven foreign hostages" -- three Belgians, two Americans, one Japanese and a Briton.

However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
Brussels said it had no indication any of its nationals were being held.

Algeria was strongly criticized for launching the initial assault, which the kidnappers said had left dead 34 of the hostages and 15 of their own fighters.

Belmokhtar also wanted to exchange American hostages for the blind Egyptian sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman and Pak Aafia Siddiqui
...American-educated Pak cognitive neuroscientist who was convicted of assault with intent to murder her U.S. interrogators in Afghanistan. In September 2010, she was sentenced to 86 years in jug after a three-ring trial. Siddiqui, using the alias Fahrem or Feriel Shahin, was one of six alleged al-Qaeda members who bought $19 million worth of blood diamonds in Liberia immediately prior to 9-11-01. Since her incarceration Paks have taken her to their heart and periodically erupt into demonstrations, while the government tries to find somebody to swap for her...

in the United States on charges of terrorist links.

At least one American had already been confirmed dead before Saturday's assault.

But the State Department said "the United States does not negotiate with terrorists".

La Belle France, which said on Saturday that 2,000 of the 2,500 troops it had pledged were now on the ground in Mali, said that no more of its citizens were being held.

President Hollande said French troops would stay in Mali as long as is needed "to defeat terrorism" in the West African country and its neighbors.

Algerian news agency APS quoted a government official as saying the kidnappers, who claimed to have come from Niger, were armed with machineguns, assault rifles, rocket launchers and missiles.

This was confirmed by an Algerian driver, Iba El Haza, who said the hostage-takers spoke in different Arabic dialects and perhaps also in English.

"From their accents I understood one was Egyptian, one Tunisian, another Algerian and one was speaking English or (another) foreign language," Haza told AFP after escaping on Thursday.

"The bully boyz said: 'You have nothing to do with this, you are Algerians and Mohammedans. We won't keep you, we only want the foreigners.'"

Mursi to urge Obama to free blind sheikh in first U.S. state visit
2013-01-08
The release of an Egyptian blind sheikh, jailed in the United States for the 1993 World Trade Center attack, will be urged by Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi during his upcoming visit to the U.S., the leader said on Monday.
No.
The announcement follows his pledge, during his presidential campaign earlier this year, to free Omar Abdul Rahman. The preacher is currently serving a life sentence and the planned request for his release appears to be gesture, by Mursi, to Gama'a al-Islamiya, a Salafi group.
Hell no.
Sheikh Rahman is the spiritual leader of Gama'a al-Islamiya, which was involved in the 1981 assassination of President Anwar Sadat but renounced violence in 1997. The group has entered mainstream politics since former President Hosni Mubarak was toppled.

In September, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland stressed there was no plan to release him following his trial and conviction.
But that was before Champ got extra flexibility...
Mursi told CNN in an interview aired Monday that he was hoping to travel to the United States before the end of March 2013, and he planned to raise the case of Sheikh Rahman with U.S. President Barack Obama.

"There is no set date yet, but it will most likely be before the end of the first quarter of this year," Mursi said.

Al-Qaeda Leader Calls On Muslims To Kidnap Westerners
2012-10-28
[AFP] Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri
... Formerly second in command of al-Qaeda, now the head cheese, occasionally described as the real brains of the outfit. Formerly the Mister Big of Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Bumped off Abdullah Azzam with a car boom in the course of one of their little disputes. Is thought to have composed bin Laden's fatwa entitled World Islamic Front Against Jews and Crusaders. Currently residing in the North Wazoo area. That is not a horn growing from the middle of his forehead, but a prayer bump, attesting to how devout he is...
has urged Egyptians to restart their revolution to press for Islamic law and called on Moslems to kidnap Westerners, the SITE Intelligence Group said Friday.

In a video released on jihadist forums and translated by the US monitoring service, Zawahiri also lashed out at President Barack Obama
How's it going, Sunshine?...
, calling him a liar and demanding he admit defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan and North Africa.

"Our captives or Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahamn will not be liberated except through force, for it is the only language that they understand."
Criticizing the new Egyptian government -- led by a president drawn from the Moslem Brüderbund -- as corrupt, he said a battle is being waged in Egypt between a secular minority and Moslems seeking implementation of Shariah law.

The Egyptian doctor, the former deputy to slain Al-Qaeda leader the late Osama bin Laden
... who is currently taking a long nap in the dirt... urm... water...
, said these Egyptians want to see their government liberated from US influence and Paleostinian victory over Israel, SITE reported.

"The battle isn't over, but it has started," Zawahiri said, urging "every sincere person in Egypt" to "wage a popular campaign to incite and preach in order to complete the revolution, which was aborted.

"The revolution in Egypt must continue and the Moslem Ummah must offer sacrifices until it achieves what it wants and until it snatches from the corrupt forces ... the dignity and honor of Egypt."

Zawahiri said liberating Omar Abdul Rahman, an Egyptian holy man incarcerated
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
in the United States for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center attack, and inmates at the US prison at Guantanamo Bay was an "obligatory duty for every Moslem."

"I call upon Moslems to capture citizens of the countries that wage wars against Moslems," he said.

"Our captives or Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahamn will not be liberated except through force, for it is the only language that they understand."

In that vein, he referenced Warren Weinstein, a relief worker with USAID who was captured in Lahore, Pakistain, in August 2011.

Zawahiri also called Obama a "professional liar."

"Obama must admit he and his allies are standing in the defeated line, and that Osama bin Laden, may Allah have mercy on him, and the rest of the Mujahideen and the Moslem Ummah are standing in the victorious line, whether anyone likes it or not."

Mursi vows to be president for all Egyptians
2012-06-30
The Copts and other non-believers, of course, won't be considered 'Egyptian'...
CAIRO: Muhammad Mursi paid tribute on Friday to Egypt's Muslims and Christians alike and symbolically swore himself in as the country's first elected civilian president before a huge crowd at Tahrir Square.

Mursi, who won a run-off election earlier this month, was received with applause by the tens of thousands of people gathered in the birthplace of the revolt that overthrew his predecessor Hosni Mubarak last year. He promised a "civilian state" and praised "the square of the revolution, the square of freedom," in what he called an address to "the free world, Arabs, Muslims... the Muslims of Egypt, Christians of Egypt."

Mursi symbolically swore himself in before the crowd, saying: "I swear to preserve the republican system... and to preserve the independence" of Egypt.

In his speech Mursi, whose election has raised concerns among Egypt's sizeable Coptic Christian community, served the United States with advance warning that his politics will be markedly different from those of his ousted predecessor.
No, really?
He told the Tahrir crowd he would work to secure freedom for Omar Abdul Rahman, a blind Egyptian cleric jailed for life over the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

"I will do everything in my power to secure freedom for... detainees, including Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman," Mursi said in his address to the throng packing the hub of the 2011 revolution.
Champ would lose New York in November if he did that, so don't look for it .. until December.
Abdul Rahman was convicted in 1995 for his role in the World Trade Center bombing, plotting to bomb other New York targets including the United Nations, and a plan to assassinate Mubarak.

After taking the oath, Mursi will have to contend with the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, headed by Mubarak's longtime defense minister Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, that will retain broad powers after it formally transfers power. The liberal Wafd newspaper reported that Tantawi will remain defense minister in the new government.
And that's the real power...

Libyan Jihadis Claims U.S. Consulate Attack
2012-06-13
[An Nahar] An alleged Libyan jihadist group has grabbed credit for last week's bombing of the U.S. consulate in Libya's main eastern city of Benghazi, the SITE monitoring service said Monday.

The "Brigades of the Imprisoned Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman" said the attack was to avenge the death of Al-Qaeda number two Abu Yahya al-Libi in a drone strike in Pakistain, said the US-based SITE, which monitors jihadi websites.

The Brigades also said the June 6 kaboom at the U.S. diplomatic mission -- in which one person was maimed -- had come in response to the use of "American drones flying in Libyan skies," SITE said.

The group said it had "planted an bomb in a wall of the consulate, targeting a group of 'Christian overseers' who were preparing to receive one of the 'heads of instigation'" from the State Department, SITE said.

The statement added that the group -- which also grabbed credit for a May attack on the Benghazi offices of the International Committee of the Red Thingy -- would soon release its footage of the consulate attack.

The group is named after Abdel Rahman, 73, who received a life sentence in the United States for his involvement in plots to hit New York targets and a plan to assassinate former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak

Son of the spiritual head of the Egyptian Islamic Group killed in Afghanistan
2011-10-15
The Egyptian Islamic Group announced on its website that the son of its spiritual leader, the 'Blind Sheikh,' who is in a U.S. jail for the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center, was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Afghanistan.

The group said that Ahmed Omar Abdul Rahman, who is also known as Saif, “was killed in an American air bombing from an unmanned plane on the frontlines in Afghanistan,” according to the translation by the SITE Intelligence Group for the brief statement that was released on the group’s website.

Two of the jailed sheikh’s sons are known to have developed close ties to al-Qaeda.

One son, Asim Abdul Rahman, who is also known as Abu Asim, is reported to have signed onto al Qaeda's International Islamic Front for Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders back in 1998. He is also rumored to have been granted citizenship by the Taliban after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Qaeda group claims supertanker attack: report
2010-08-05
[Al Arabiya Latest] A group linked to al-Qaeda has claimed that a boomer from its organization was responsible for an attack on a Japanese supertanker last Wednesday near the Strait of Hormuz.

"Last Wednesday, after midnight, the martyrdom-seeking hero Ayyub al-Taishan ... blew himself up in the Japanese tanker M Star in the Strait of Hormuz between the United Arab Emirates and Oman," the Brigades of Abdullah Azzam group said in a statement posted on an Islamist website used by Boskonians.

Mitsui OSK Lines had previously reported that its tanker the M Star appeared to have been hit by a kaboom July 28 in the waterway between Iran and Oman.

The U.S. monitoring group SITE said the statement claimed the attack was carried out in the name of Omar Abdul Rahman, the Egyptian "Blind Sheikh" imprisoned in the United States for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing in New York.

The attack sought "to weaken the infidel global order which is thrust unto Mohammedan lands and which loots its resources," the brigade said, according to SITE. "We delayed the publication of the statement until our heroes returned safely to their bases."

Mitsui OSK Lines officials had said crew members saw a flash and heard a kaboom in the incident shortly after midnight local time a week ago.

One crewman was slightly injured in the explosion, which caused minor damage to the ship, including an indentation several meters across in the hull, according to pictures published by state-run UAE news agency WAM.

Mitsui had dismissed reports it might have been hit by a freak wave.

The Japan-bound vessel -- crewed by 16 Filipinos and 15 Indians -- was carrying 270,000 tons of crude oil but did not suffer a spill.

One of the crew saw a flash on the horizon, while several other sailors heard a kaboom. Other crew members said that the weather was fine and there were no reports of high waves in the region.

The ship arrived under its own steam in United Arab Emirates for repairs, and an investigation into the incident was launched.

Attacks claimed by the Azzam Brigades include deadly bombings at the Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Sheikh in 2005 and the firing of rockets which missed two U.S. warships in Jordan's Aqaba port the same year.

A statement last year signed by the Ziad al-Jarrah division of the Azzam Brigades took credit for firing two rockets into northern Israel.

The group claimed that Wednesday's attack was a blow to the global economy and the oil market and that those who have offered other explanations for the incident, which have ranged from a freak wave to an internal explosion, are trying to cover up the operation.

The oil market ignored the incident last Wednesday, with oil prices easing in response to news that U.S. oil inventories had risen.

Traffic near the busy Strait was not disrupted and the tanker diverted to a UAE port where it is being examined.

"They could be claiming this to try to get the global spotlight to seem bigger than they really are," said Theodore Karasik, a security analyst at Dubai-based group INEGMA.

Azzam Brigades, believed to be an al-Qaeda-linked group in the Levant and Egypt, has previously taken responsibility for attacks that other groups have claimed.

Karasik noted that the timing of the claim -- a day after deadly clashes on the Israeli-Lebanese border and two days after rocket fire on Israeli and Jordanian Red Sea port thriving towns -- might be an effort to raise tensions further in the region.

Jihadists hope Britain's Prince Harry is captured
2010-05-12
Jihadists took to Internet to voice hope that if Britain's Prince Harry is able to pilot a helicopter, that fighters shoot him down, the SITE monitoring service has said.

"Reports of Prince Harry of Wales having sufficient skill to pilot an Apache helicopter sparked jihadists to discuss the possibility of his being shot down and killed or captured," SITE said. "The availability of a high-profile target in Afghanistan, Iraq, or any battlefield of jihad, usually sparks such discussion," SITE said.

"One jihadist, writing on al-Fallujah, hoped that if captured, the prince could be exchanged for captive radical clerics Abu Qatada the Palestinian and the "Blind Sheikh" Omar Abdul Rahman," according to SITE.

Bush cracks down on Iranian businesses
2008-12-23
The Bush administration appears to be using its final weeks to crack down on Iranian business interests in the US, freezing assets of a company suspected of indirectly supporting Teheran's nuclear program and arresting the executive of a related charity.

Farshid Jahedi was arrested on one count of obstructing justice last week after FBI agents allegedly saw him throwing out documents subpoenaed by a grand jury investigating the relationship between the Alavi Foundation and the Assa Corp., with which it co-owns a 36-story office tower on the toniest stretch of Manhattan's Fifth Avenue just north of Rockefeller Center.

That move was the latest under an executive order signed by President George W. Bush in 2005 providing for the seizure of assets belonging to groups or individuals suspected of engaging in or attempting to engage in the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

The US government claims Assa and its Channel Islands parent company are fronts created by Iran's Bank Melli, which is suspected of providing material support to Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs. Bank Melli was sanctioned by the US government last year on suspicion that it directed at least $100 million to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards branch that supported Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other terrorist groups.

Federal authorities announced a freeze on Assa's US holdings last Wednesday, including the building at 650 Fifth Avenue, originally constructed in the 1970s by Alavi's predecessor organization, the Pahlavi Foundation, which was allegedly directed by the Shah of Iran.

"This scheme to use a front company set up by Bank Melli - a known proliferator - to funnel money from the United States to Iran is yet another example of Iran's duplicity," Stuart Levey, the Treasury Department's undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, said in a press statement.

The building's construction was financed in part by a loan from Bank Melli, according to the Treasury. Officials claim Bank Melli created Assa to hold its stake in the building, known as the Piaget building, in 1989, after the Alavi Foundation sought to transfer 40 percent of the building's ownership into a partnership to avoid a "substantial" tax payment on rental income.

US Attorney-General Michael Mukasey has recused himself from the investigation because he represented Alavi in a real estate dispute in the early 1980s, while the foundation was known under its previous name.

Alavi has come under repeated scrutiny over the past 20 years for its own suspected ties to the Iranian government, according to court filings its attorney John Winter made in a 2002 case, in which the charity was accused of supporting Sheik Omar Abdul Rahman and the al-Farouq mosque in Brooklyn. Winter called the claim "completely false."

The foundation's Web site says it is devoted to the "promotion and support of Islamic culture and Persian language, literature and civilization" through charitable and philanthropic causes.

The FBI complaint against Jahedi said he was warned not to destroy documents requested by a grand jury. It said he disobeyed the order when he went home to Ardsley, New York, and dumped papers in a public trash can on Thursday. If convicted, Jahedi could face up to 10 years in prison.

Via Gateway Pundit: Danish Imam Who Faked Cartoons, Linked to Terror, Cheered 9-11
2006-02-17
Imam Ahmad Abu Laban, the man behind this whole Danish cartoon controversy, not only faked obscene cartoons on his trip to the Middle East, but also:

* Entertained the "Blind Sheikh" behind the first World Trade Center attacks

* Praised Osama Bin Laden after 9-11 Attacks

* Preached he "Shed no tears" after 9-11 Attacks

* Accused of giving Political support to Osama bin Laden's network

* Accused of giving Financial support to Osama bin Laden's network

* Joined with 225 Islamic Radicals to form Global Jihadist Group in 2003

* Said that Theo van Gogh - "Had it coming!"

* Called on his flock to Give Their Lives to Global Jihad for Palestinians

* Met with Sheikh Qaradawi in Saudi Arabia who has legalized the murder of American soldiers in Iraq

Imam Ahmad Abu Laban, the leader of the Islamic Society of Denmark toured the Middle-East to "create awareness" about the 12 cartoons that were published in Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten, on September 30, 2005...
As far as most Western news services are concerned, the cartoons pictured above are the ones creating all of the uproar.
Go to linked site to view the three faked cartoons.
However, the truth is that Imam Ahmad Abu Laban, brought at least 3 additional images, which HAD NEVER been published in any media source. They included a cartoon of Muhammad as a pedophile demon, Muhammed with a pig snout, and a praying Muslim being raped by a dog. The drawings in Jyllands-Posten were harmless compared to these:

Evidently, the originals were not offensive enough for the trip!

The spokesman for the Islamic Society of Denmark, Ahmed Akkari, claimed he does not know the origin of the three pictures. He said they had been sent anonymously to Danish Muslims. However, when a reporter asked if it could talk to these Muslims, the spokesman refused to reveal their identity.

Abu Laban, who had previously been unwelcome in several Arab states, toured Egypt with fellow Islamic Society of Denmark representatives and spoke with representatives of the Arab League, Egypt's grand mufti and other high-level officials.

- The Radical Islamist, Imam Ahmad Abu Laban -

During his tour of the Middle East, Abu Laban also visited Saudi Arabia and Qatar and met with renowned Muslim scholar Sheikh Yussef Al-Qaradawi.

The spiritual leader of the global Islamic organisation, The Islamic Brotherhood, Qaradawi has his own TV programme on the Arabic channel Al-Jazeera. In a fatwa disseminated as part of his programme, Qaradawi has legalised the murder of American soldiers in Iraq, he supports the death penalty for homosexuality, he supports the right of Muslim men to beat their wives, says that suicide actions are the most exalted aspect of the Jihad for the Sake of Allah, and that women are required to engage in such a jihad side by side with their men.

Abu Laban praised Osama Bin Laden after the 9-11 attacks:

In a Friday prayer a few days after the second attack on the World Trade Center on 11 September 2001 Abu Laban praised the Taliban as people who were trying to build a country in Afghanistan. (Kristeligt Dagblad 19 September 2001). He has also spoken highly of Osama bin Laden, who he has lauded for his ascetic life style.

On April 28th 2003, Abu Laban joined a forum of 225 Islamist clerics, scholars, and businessmen in Mekkah, Saudi Arabia to form a new body of supporters of global Jihad against the United States and the "Crusader" West:

The secretary General of the forum is the known Saudi Dr. Safar al-Hawali, who is regarded by many scholars as one of the main mentors of Osama bin Laden and leads the opposition to the U.S. military presence in the Arabian peninsula. A number of the founders are very popular among the generation of young supporters of Al-Qaeda in the Arab world. The forum might be an attempt to promote a political-ideological anti-Western struggle, as a result of the operational difficulties of Al-Qaeda to launch attacks against Western targets, as was expected from Al Qaeda following the start up of the War in Iraq.

Abu Laban entertained "The Blind Sheik" behind the 1993 Trade Center attacks:

In 1990 Abu Laban in his capacity as leader of The Islamic Community received "the blind sheik" Omar Abdul Rahman as his guest in Denmark. (Kristeligt Dagblad 19 September 2001. The sheik is now imprisoned in the US for 240 years for his part in the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993.

After the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001, Abu Laban celebrated:

Moslems in Denmark joined the jubilant celebration of some American and 'Palestinian' Moslems as they took to the streets to celebrate the terrorist attacks in America. Convoys waved PLO flags and beeped their horns in celebration. In spite of local protests against the Islamic happiness, the Imam of Copenhagen, Mohamed Abu-Laban, said in his Friday sermon that he sheds no tears for the victims of the World Trade Center attack.
Abu Laban is accused of giving political and economic support to radical group that is part of Osama bin Laden's network:

After 9/11 Rohan Gunaratna, the author of the book Inside Al Qaeda and affiliated with the prestigious Centre for Terrorism and Political Violence in Sct. Andrews, Scotland, characterised Ahmed Abu Laban as an Islamic extremist. He also accused him of giving political and economic support to al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya, an Egyptian radical group that is part of Osama bin Laden's network. Imam Abu Laban threatened Rohan Gunaratna with a lawsuit, but nothing seems to have come of it.

Abu Laban said that murdered Dutch artist Theo Van Gogh "had it coming":

Danish imam Ahmed Abu Laban, Palestinian by birth, has today explained how Van Gogh infuriated Muslims: "Theo van Gogh provoked all Muslims by showing a naked woman."

In April 2002, Abu Laban called on his flock to offer their lives in jihad for the Palestinian cause:

On 5 April Palestinian imam Ahmad Abu Laban called on his congregation at Friday prayers to offer their lives in a jihad for the Palestinian cause. Outside the mosque buses were waiting to take the congregants to a demonstration at Parliament Square, where they held up signs equating Judaism with Nazism, brandished a gun and burned the Israeli flag.

Freedom for Egyptians (who was interviewed by the BBC on Friday night) has a terrific post including this news: The Egyptian Al Fager newspaper a month ago printed the cartoons but only because of a radical Islamist living in Denmark who distributed those cartoons on Muslim embassies did the whole saga get started. The media also refuses to report on the Muslim immigrants who are standing up against the the radical Islamists:

The Danish press has also paid very little attention to the representatives of a group of 80 immigrants who have expressed their support of Jyllands-Posten. A statement by the group placed on the internet carries the caption "We must condemn Islamist threats against free speech." It goes on to accuse the Islamists of "viewing any criticism or any making fun of the Islamic religion as an affront and an insult to Muslims. In this way they want to prevent any human being from questioning the Islamic religion and its holy book and the prophet Muhammad. ... With the same argument Islamic regimes and other forces in the Middle Eastern and Arabic countries have killed thousands of people and issued fatwas against authors, journalists and artists."
As I have mentioned elswhere at this site, if Ahmad Abu Laban cannot produce a source for the three faked cartoons, he should be charged with incitement to riot, hate speech and whatever other charges can be made against him. Laban is directly responsible for the deaths of those who rioted in protest of the cartoons he took it upon himself to falsely distribute. This guy is a major maggot and needs capping post haste.
