Hamas urges UK court to remove terror label, claims it is battling ‘genocide’ |
2025-04-11 |
[IsraelTimes] Senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk pens witness statement falsely asserting Oct. 7 onslaught was directed only at military; no immediate comment from government Senior Hamas ![]() official Moussa Abu Marzouk has submitted a lengthy witness statement to a British court, arguing that London should end its proscription of Hamas as a terror group. The Paleostinian group claims to be "a Paleostinian Islamic liberation and resistance movement whose goal is to liberate Paleostine and confront the Zionist project," in a filing reported by the Drop Site News outlet. Hamas openly seeks to destroy Israel, regularly attempts to kill Israeli civilians, and, on October 7, 2023, led an invasion by thousands of gunnies who systematically killed and kidnapped Israelis of all ages, including civilians at their homes and at a music festival, as well as British nationals. In his statement, submitted on Wednesday, Abu Marzouk claimed the onslaught was solely directed at military targets, falsely asserting that the targeting of civilians that day was marginal or done mainly by non-Hamas members. He accused Britannia of complicity in the Israeli "genocide" against Paleostinians by arming Israel, and claimed the group poses no threat to the United Kingdom. Marzouk also stressed that "Hamas rejects any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Paleostine, from the river to the sea" — a demand that necessitates the eradication of Israel. A legal team from Riverway Law representing Hamas pro bono — since it would be illegal to receive money from the group — argued that since Britannia has a duty to prevent genocide and crimes against humanity, and since Hamas "is the only effective military force resisting — and seeking to end and prevent — the ongoing acts of genocide and crimes against humanity being committed by the Zionist State against the Paleostinians in Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... ," it should drop Hamas from the terrorism list, Drop Site reported. The lawyers also claimed that while Hamas’s actions fit the definition of "terrorism" in British law, so do those of the IDF, the Ukrainian army, and even the British military. Hamas and other terror groups are still holding 59 of the hostages kidnapped on October 7. Hostage-taking is a crime against humanity under international conventions. The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 50,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far, though the toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 20,000 combatants in battle as of January and another 1,600 gunnies inside Israel on October 7. Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques. The Home Office told The Guardian newspaper that it does not comment on proscribing cases. Britannia’s Shadow Foreign Secretary Priti Patel of the opposition Conservative party said: "Hamas is an evil Iranian-backed terrorist organization, which kidnaps, tortures and murders people, including British nationals," the Guardian reported. "They pose an ongoing threat to our security and to the peace and stability of the Middle East and they have weapons and training facilities that put lives at risk and threaten our interests. They show no respect for human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... , life and dignity and have oppressed people living in Gaza for too long." In November 2021 the UK designated all of Hamas an "Islamist terrorist group," warning that its members and those who support the group could face stiff jail terms. The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, had been banned in Britannia since 2001 but the interior ministry extended the measures to its political entities as well. |

Senior Hamas official: I wouldn’t have backed Oct. 7 if I’d known outcome for Gaza |

[IsraelTimes] Moussa Abu Marzouk says ‘impossible’ to call Gaza war a victory for terror group, says he’s open to discussing its disarmament; Hamas: Words taken out of context, don’t represent us Senior Hamas ![]() politburo member Moussa Abu Marzouk said he would not have backed the October 7, 2023, invasion and onslaught in southern Israel if he had known what the consequences would be for the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... Strip, in an interview with The New York Times ![]() ...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... that was conducted on Friday and published on Monday. The October 7 attack — in which thousands of Hamas-led faceless myrmidons burst across the Gaza-Israel border, killing some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 251 hostages, amid rampant acts of brutality and sexual assault — sparked the subsequent war in Gaza, which has devastated the enclave, seen tens of thousands killed, and prompted the US president to call for the forced relocation of the more than 2 million residents of the Strip. The war has also, through fighting on other fronts, significantly weakened Iran’s so-called "Axis of Resistance®," devastating the Hezbollah terror group in Leb ...Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects.... , and indirectly contributing to the collapse of the Iran-backed Bashir Pencilneckal-Assad Oppressor of the Syrians and the Lebs... regime in Syria. "If it was expected that what happened would happen, there wouldn’t have been October 7," Abu Marzouk said, asserting that — though he claimed to not have been privy to the exact details of the planned assault — he could not have brought himself to approve it, knowing what he knows now. Y’all assumed that naturally Allah would protect his best beloveds from any serious repercussions, and thus President Biden’s America, the EU, and the Moslem governments would force Israel to surrender. But it turns out Allah just isn’t that into you, and after what you and your little friends did on 10/7, the Israelis gave up on the idea that there was anyone on your side worth bargaining with. Though they were willing to work with you if you’d learnt anything from the experience, the stupid games you played these past two weeks means once the hostages are recovered, you’re toast. The statement of regret marked a departure from previous statements by Hamas officials. A few weeks after the invasion, for example, politburo member Ghazi Hamad publicly declared that October 7 was "just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth," saying, "we are ready to pay" the price, and vowing to continue until Israel was totally annihilated.A fatal misjudgment, that. In the weeks since a hostage release-ceasefire deal was reached last month, Hamas and its allies have also repeatedly called the war a "victory" for their cause.Indeed, Abu Marzouk’s remarks were quickly countered by Hamas front man Hazem Qassem, who said: "The occupation’s aggressive and destructive behavior is the cause of the destruction in Gaza. The October 7 epic marks a strategic turning point in the Paleostinian national struggle." In a statement issued a short while later by the group itself, Hamas claimed Abu Marzouk’s comments were "incorrect and taken out of context." Oh well. It was nice to think learning had happened, but clearly that’s not permitted. Now we know. "The interview was conducted a few days ago and the published statements did not reflect the full content of the answers," the terror group contended.In the interview, Abu Marzouk said Hamas’s survival, despite Israel’s campaign in Gaza, constituted a "kind of victory." He compared the terror group, which has been the de facto government of Gaza since ousting the Paleostinian Authority’s main Fatah faction in a 2007 coup, to a regular person who has survived a boxing match with heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. But he said that in absolute terms, it would be "unacceptable" to call the war a win for the terror group. "We’re talking about a party [Israel] that lost control of itself and took Dire Revenge against everything," Abu Marzouk claimed. "That is not a victory under any circumstances." Sez you. We disagree. ABU MARZOUK SAYS OPEN TO TALKING DISARMAMENTIn the interview, Abu Marzouk also said he was open to discussing the potential disarmament of the terror group in Gaza, saying that, "We are ready to speak about every issue," and, "Any issue that is put on the table, we need to speak about it." He declined, however, to answer specific questions about what a compromise on disarmament might look like. The comments seemed to contradict more hardline statements from other public leaders of late, such as politburo member Osama Hamdan, who said this month that "the weapons of the resistance" were non-negotiable. Asked about Hamdan’s remarks, Abu Marzouk told The New York Times that no one leader could set the organization’s agenda. Qassem, the Hamas front man, also rejected the idea of disarmament, saying: "We hold onto our resistance weapon as a legitimate right, and what was attributed to Moussa Abu Marzouk does not represent the movement’s stance. Resistance® in all its forms is a legitimate right for our people until liberation and return." Asked about the ongoing, fragile hostage release-ceasefire deal, which has paused fighting in the Strip as Hamas has freed captives who were mostly kidnapped on October 7 and Israel has set free over a thousand Paleostinian security prisoners, including many terror convicts, Abu Marzouk said he was open to extending the three-part deal’s first phase, which is currently slated to end on Saturday. He said, however, that the group would demand far more security prisoners released in exchange for each of the remaining hostages than it had for those released in the past, noting that Hamas considers all the remaining living captives — including those who are in fact civilians — to be soldiers. Abu Marzouk suggested 500-to-1 and 1,000-to-1 as possible prisoner-to-hostage ratios for the remaining captives, which are likely to be rejected out of hand by Israel. The interview was conducted before Israel’s decision on Saturday to freeze the release of 602 security inmates in exchange for six living hostages, after five of those hostages were released in propaganda ceremonies that the state called "humiliations." Abu Marzouk added that Hamas is also open to releasing all the hostages at once, in exchange for an end to the war and the release of all Paleostinian prisoners — terms which Israel has rejected. IDF RESPONDS TO ROCKET FIRE, AS CEASEFIRE UP IN THE AIR With the first phase of the deal set to end Saturday, negotiations are ongoing for the second phase, which envisions Hamas releasing all remaining living hostages — believed to be at least 24 of the 63 captives — in exchange for several thousand Paleostinian security prisoners, a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and a permanent end to the war. US President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... ’s Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff said Sunday that, "We will get to phase two... I think it’s going to happen," but called any Hamas role in the postwar government of the Strip a "red line." Israeli leaders have repeatedly stressed in recent days that there are battle plans ready in the event that the deal should collapse and fighting resume. On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces struck a rocket launching site in Gaza, from which a rocket had been fired at Israel but fell short in the Strip, the military said. It added that a second rocket launch site in the area was also targeted. Abu Marzouk was in Moscow along with a senior Hamas delegation for negotiations at the Russian foreign ministry. He also told Russian outlet Sputnik that hostage Alexander "Sasha" Trufanov, a dual Russian-Israeli national, will be released imminently. "One of them, Trufanov, will definitely be released in the near future. He will be released despite the fact that he is a serviceperson, but it was decided to release him at the first stage of the deal," Abu Marzouk said. Trufanov is a civilian and was kidnapped from his home, but Hamas classifies all male hostages under 50 as members of the military. Trufanov, 28, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz, alongside his mother, grandmother and girlfriend. His father was murdered. The rest of his family was released under a previous ceasefire deal in November 2023. He is on the list of the first 33 so-called "humanitarian hostages" to be released in the ongoing 42-day first stage of the current hostage-ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. Herkin, 35 when he was taken hostage, has a 3-year-old daughter and is the primary provider for his mother and 11-year-old brother. He went to the Nova festival almost by chance, invited by friends at the last minute. It was the first time he had gone to a rave. Report: Delegation from Moscow arrived in Israel today to discuss release of two Russian-Israeli hostages |
2024-10-25 |
[IsraelTimes] A delegation from Moscow reportedly arrived in Israel today to discuss negotiations for the release of two Israeli hostages who are dual Russian citizens held by Hamas in Gaza. The Saudi Al-Hadath outlet reports that the delegation brought a message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from Russian President Vladmir Putin to end Israel’s ongoing military campaigns against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. A source in Netanyahu’s office tells The Times of Israel that the Russian delegation’s visit was not connected to hostages held by Hamas. The report comes after the Hamas leader Moussa Abu Marzouk told the RIA state news agency earlier today that the two hostages, Alexander (Sasha) Trufanov and Maxim Herkin, will be among the first to be released during an eventual hostage release, but only as part of a ceasefire deal and an exchange of hostages for Palestinian security prisoners. It also comes as US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is in Doha amid efforts to revive stalled hostage-ceasefire talks. An Israeli delegation is expected to travel to Doha in the coming days to meet with US and Qatari negotiators. It is believed that 97 of the 251 hostages abducted by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza, including the bodies of at least 34 confirmed dead by the IDF. Hamas released 105 civilians during a weeklong truce in late November, and four hostages were released before that. Eight hostages have been rescued by troops alive, and the bodies of 37 hostages have also been recovered, including three mistakenly killed by the military as they tried to escape their captors. Hamas is also holding two Israeli civilians who entered the Strip in 2014 and 2015, as well as the bodies of two IDF soldiers who were killed in 2014. |

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... , Hamas deputy politburo chairman Moussa Abu Marzouk told the Arabic edition of Russian state-owned media outlet RT on Friday. According to Hebrew media outlet Ynet, Hamas rejected a request made by Moscow in December for the release of captives with dual Russian-Israeli citizenship because "many Israelis have dual citizenship," and so it is not enough of a reason to justify their release. "We did not capture people because they’re Russian or French. We captured them because they kill Paleostinians and they’re Israeli soldiers," Abu Marzouk reportedly told RT Arabic during the 25-minute interview. "Israel gives them foreign citizenship and then claims that they aren’t Israeli, but rather that they have a different citizenship. It’s as though we don’t have captive Israelis at all," the Hamas official added. In fact, Israel has never claimed hostages with dual nationality are not Israeli. Abu Marzouk also claimed, as a further justification for refusing to fulfill Russia’s request, that "most of the Israeli soldiers have dual citizenship." The majority of the 253 hostages seized by the terror group on October 7 — during their onslaught in which some 1,200 people were slaughtered — were civilians. Additionally, only around 10 percent of Israel’s population is believed to hold citizenship in two or more countries. It is believed that 132 of the hostages taken on October 7 remain in Gaza — not all of them alive — after 105 civilians were released from Hamas captivity during a weeklong truce in late November. Four hostages were released before that, and one was rescued by troops. The bodies of eight hostages have also been recovered and three hostages were mistakenly killed by the military. The IDF has confirmed the deaths of 27 of those still held by Hamas, citing new intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza. One more person has been listed as missing since October 7, and their fate is still unknown. Hamas has also been holding the bodies of fallen IDF soldiers Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin since 2014, as well as two Israeli civilians, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed, who are both thought to be alive after entering the Strip of their own accord in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Abu Marzouk’s interview came during a visit to Moscow by the Hamas official, at which time he met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov to discuss the ongoing war in Gaza. "The Hamas leadership delegation held political consulting with the Russian Foreign Ministry to discuss ways to a ceasefire to achieve an end to the aggression against our Paleostinian people," Abu Marzouk said in a statement following the meeting. "The delegation affirmed the right of our Paleostinian people to achieve freedom and return, and their right to resist the Zionist occupation by all available means," he added. In return, Bogdanov "expressed his country’s position in support of the rights of the Paleostinian people," Abu Marzouk said. |

Israel, which has responded with ... KABOOM!... s in Gaza resulting in hundreds of Paleostinian casualties, has vowed to free the hostages while also targeting Hamas. Other nations have reported their citizens as missing, and there are also Israelis with dual nationality from countries such as the UK and the US believed to be among the kidnapped. Hamas' armed wing, in a video message, referred to the non-Israeli captives as "guests" and stated they would be released when circumstances permit. However, today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday... no further details were provided. Another senior Hamas official, Moussa Abu Marzouk, mentioned that the release of foreign prisoners is complicated due to the ongoing Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. The situation remains tense and sensitive, with international attention focused on the potential exchange of captives and the broader conflict between Hamas and Israel.

Senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk will meet with Lebanese officials and representatives from the Paleostinian factions to try and reach a settlement to end the festivities, the hard boy group said in a statement. Hamas has not taken part in the festivities. |

Palestinians urge Sudan to hand over confiscated assets | ||
2021-09-26 | ||
Sudan was long an ally of Hamas under former President Omar al-Bashir but since he was overthrown in 2019, Sudanese authorities have taken control of investments and companies they say channeled funding to the Islamist group for years. "We hope that the state of #Sudan, which has always been a supporter (people and a government) to #Palestine, to hand over the movable and immovable funds that were confiscated to the State of Palestine and its Government," Hussein Al-Sheikh, a senior Palestinian official close to President Mahmoud Abbas, said on Twitter. Senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk accused Sheikh of "fishing in troubled waters." "What happened in #Sudan is a conflict between the civilian and military parts in #Hamdok's government to win US support. A cheap game using the name of the movement as a slander," wrote Abu Marzouk on his Twitter account late on Saturday. In Khartoum, a senior official in the taskforce overseeing government-led asset seizures did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Israeli please-like-us syndrome - another disease we must conquer |
2020-04-02 |
[Arutz 7] - ...Earlier in the program, Dayan explored the new ’Operations Center’ for the ’War against the Corona Pandemic’. For the first time, medical professionals were working together with experts from the armed forces, the security industries and the Mossad, one of Israel’s intelligence agencies. Viewers were shown how this new collaboration is enabling Israel to acquire medical supplies that the Health Ministry and hospitals would have been unable to appropriate on their own. Not only that -- laboratories that engineer weaponry have now been put to the task of engineering re-usable masks and respirators. Israeli ingenuity at its best. In an interview with H’, Director of the Mossad’s Technology Department, a highly impressed Dayan suggested that the collaboration may open up opportunities previously unimaginable. She wondered how: "... with respect to Iran, the new enemy may be useful, perhaps, in the war against old enemies. A new world of possibilities may open up for the Mossad. ... I am just thinking ‐ this comes from me and not from you -- what would an Iranian nuclear scientist be prepared to do today in order for someone to resuscitate his mother? In this one question, Dayan shows us that there is an infection beyond which many Israelis seem unable, or unwilling, to move. That is the ’See-what-we-can-do-for-you? So-like-us’ syndrome. Much of Israeli hasbara concerns itself with describing new medical and technological inventions each of which improves the lives of so many people around the world. And if we do such good for humanity and publicize it, the thinking apparently goes, maybe they will stop hating us and maybe the UN will stop passing resolutions attacking Israel’s right to exist. I doubt that any Iranian nuclear scientist or political leader would change his or her mind about Israel because an Israeli invention was needed to resuscitate his or her mother. After all, Hamas arch-enemy Ismail Haniyeh’s daughter, granddaughter and mother-in-law were all treated in Israeli hospitals. Hamas senior official Moussa Abu Marzouk’s sister was treated for advanced stage cancer in an Israeli hospital. PLO leader Jibril Rajoub received medical treatment in Israel. None of this changed their attitudes and they continue to promote terrorism against Israel and challenge its legitimacy as a state. Efforts to overcome the Coronavirus depended upon first isolating the virus and identifying it by means of genome sequencing and electron microscopy. Then researchers discovered how the virus attacks the human body and they are now looking for drugs that impede Corona’s ability to use our own proteins against ourselves, the essence of how we get sick and die. Everyone knows that Corona causes sickness. On the other hand, those who are under the spell of the please-like-us syndrome do not realize that they are ill; in fact, they think their attitude is the cure for what ails Israel. |
