Interesting Coincidence - The Last 8 Members of Congress Who Died Were All Democrats
2025-05-23
[BusinessInsider] No coincidence at all. While the Republicans started replacing their country club Republicans like Mitt Romney in 2007 with first TEA Partiers and then MAGA Trumpsters, the Democrat Old Guard were holding tight to power — leaving only when carried out by six, including a state funeral attended by all the former presidents except Donald Trump, who was openly told his presence wasn’t wanted.
  • Eight sitting members of Congress have died since November 2022.

  • Every single one of them was a Democrat.

  • The party has been wrestling with age and gerontocracy for years.

In the last two and a half years, eight sitting members of the House or Senate have died in office. Every time, it's been a Democrat.

Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, died on Wednesday at 75, after a battle with esophageal cancer.

He's the third House Democrat to die in the last three months. If Democrats had gained a narrow 1 or 2-seat majority in 2024, they would have lost it by now.

The streak of Democratic deaths could just be something of a coincidence. After all, there are plenty of elderly and diminished Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill, including former Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

But Democrats do tend to be older than Republicans, on average. A report from FiscalNote found that in the last Congress, the average House Democrat was six years older than the average House Republican, while the gap was seven years in he upper chamber.

There are some potential structural reasons for this as well, including the seniority system, which Democrats tend to employ more than Republicans.

The deaths are just another data point in a long-running conversation that's been raging within the Democratic Party for years about age and gerontocracy, which culminated last year in President Joe Biden's decision to drop out of the presidential race after a disastrous debate performance.

Since then, Democrats in particular have been taking age more seriously, including when it comes to who's serving in important committee positions. Connolly notably beat back a challenge from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York in December for the Oversight position he's now vacated.

Here's the full list of Democratic lawmakers who have died in office since November 2022:

  • Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia

  • Rep. Raúl Grijalva of Arizona

  • Rep. Sylvester Turner of Texas

  • Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey

  • Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas

  • Rep. Donald Payne of New Jersey

  • Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California

  • Rep. Donald McEachin of Virginia

‘Death to Israel’ graffitied on Northwestern University building during Passover
[IsraelTimes] School’s Jewish president says vandalism took place hours after his own Passover seder and that those responsible will face discipline from the university as well as criminal charges. Also spray-painted on a university building was an inverted triangle, a symbol that has been used by Hamas to signify Israeli targets and has also been adopted by some pro-Palestinian protestors.

Earlier this month, Northwestern became one of seven universities that saw steep funding cuts from the Trump administration over its response to campus antisemitism. It was the first non-Ivy League school to face the funding cuts and has $790 million on the line. Schill received widespread criticism last year when he became one of the first university presidents to come to a deal with pro-Palestinian protestors, with some Jewish organizations at the time calling for his resignation.

Harvard Law Publishes Fond Reminiscence From Student Facing Criminal Charges for Assaulting Jewish Classmate
[WashingtonFreeBeacon] Harvard Law School published a blog post from one of the students facing criminal charges for assaulting an Israeli classmate. The post is from former Harvard Law Review editor Ibrahim Bharmal.

Bharmal's criminal case could also impact that future. Along with Harvard divinity school graduate student Elom-Tettey Tamaklo, Bharmal was charged last May with misdemeanor assault in connection with his behavior at a "die-in" protest that took place shortly after Hamas's Oct. 7 attack. Bharmal and Tettey-Tamaklo were captured on camera accosting an Israeli business school student, surrounding him and making it difficult for him to walk freely as keffiyeh-clad onlookers shouted, "SHAME!"

Footage of the ordeal, first reported in the Washington Free Beacon, prompted outrage from prominent Harvard Business School alumni, including former Sen. Mitt Romney (R.), who cited the school in an October 2023 letter as proof that university leaders were "paralyzed" in the face of "expressions of hate and vitriol against Jews." Reps. Virginia Foxx (R., N.C.) and Elise Stefanik (R., N.Y.) similarly savaged Harvard after the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office accused the university of stonewalling an investigation into the protest.
Harvard nonetheless published Bharmal's blog as the Trump administration reviewed its $9 billion in federal grants and contracts. On Friday—one day after Harvard published Bharmal's blog—the administration demanded from the school a series of policy changes and reforms, including the expulsion of Bharmal and Tettey-Tamaklo, both of whom remained in good standing at Harvard in the months following the "die-in." Harvard rejected those demands on Monday, and the Trump administration froze $2.2 billion in Harvard grants hours later.

Bharmal was supposed to be arraigned last June, a month after he was charged. But local prosecutors twice postponed the arraignment because Harvard police declined to perform a "follow up investigation" into the "die-in," the Suffolk County District Attorney's office told the Free Beacon in September. The investigation would have helped "identify any additional perpetrators" and generate "inculpatory/exculpatory evidence." Attorneys told the Free Beacon at the time that they had never heard of police refusing an investigation request from prosecutors.

Berklee College of Music Professor Attacked Jews as 'Vile Predators' and Blamed Them for Slavery
[WFB] 'All these so-called Jews mad, because how dare I make them face the facts of their sordid past and present,' Nicholas Payton said in 2020.

A top official at the Berklee College of Music has a years-long history of posting anti-Semitic and historically inaccurate claims about Jews, accusing them of oppressing black people and blaming them for slavery, a Washington Free Beacon review found. In September 2024, the Massachusetts music school made a splashy announcement that Nicholas Payton would become chair of their brass department.

Though Payton expressed his animosity toward Jews more aggressively during the summer of 2020, his anti-Semitism predates the emergence of Black Lives Matter. In 2010, he spewed invectives at the Jewish owner of Preservation Hall in New Orleans. Owner Ben Jaffe's family created the institution to preserve and celebrate traditional New Orleans jazz music, but in a 2010 blog post, Payton griped that Jaffe had made too much money off the hall's success and that his behavior was "endemic of those who have controlled things in the music industry since its inception," the New York Times reported in 2022.

ICE Arrests Columbia Student Activist Who Endorsed Oct. 7 Attack
[WFB] ICE officials detained a Columbia University graduate student who led a coalition of anti-Israel groups and endorsed the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack. Jordan-born Mohsen Mahdawi had his green card revoked by the Trump administration and was taken into custody on Monday in Burlington, Vt., where he was scheduled to take a citizenship test. Mahdawi is facing a deportation order that would send him to the West Bank.

But Mahdawi, a graduate philosophy student in Columbia’s School of General Studies, has also said he "can empathize" with Hamas over the terrorist group’s Oct. 7 slaughter and has publicly called for the destruction of Israel. Last year, he honored his cousin Maysara Masharqa, who served as a prominent field commander in the military wing of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, a U.S.-designated terror group that participated in the attack alongside Hamas.

Most recently, Mahdawi served as co-president of Columbia’s Palestinian Students Union, a coalition of anti-Israel student groups, including Columbia’s suspended Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace chapters. The union has organized protests calling for Columbia’s divestment from Israel alongside Columbia University Apartheid Divest, the student organization behind the illegal encampments that plagued the school last spring and led to the violent storming of a campus building, Hamilton Hall.

Mahdawi’s detention is the Trump administration’s latest move in its effort to deport pro-Hamas green card and visa holders, fulfilling one of President Donald Trump’s campaign promises. Mahdawi joins two other Columbia students who have faced removal proceedings. On Friday, a federal immigration judge ruled that Mahmoud Khalil, a fellow protest leader and encampment negotiator who has been detained since March 9, can be deported.

Mahdawi has served as a leader in anti-Israel campus groups since first moving to the United States more than a decade ago. In another interview, he recalled throwing rocks at an Israeli military tank when he was a child. In addition to serving as the co-president of Columbia’s Palestinian Student Union, Mahdawi is also a Visionary Advisor for the Columbia Buddhist Association and a member of Columbia’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter.

At Harvard-Hosted 'Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon,' Law Students Target the Pages of Firms That Criticized School's Response to Anti-Semitism
[WFB] Anti-Israel Harvard Law School students organized a workshop on the Ivy League campus earlier this month to edit the Wikipedia pages of more than a dozen prominent law firms, singling out some that threatened to stop recruiting at the school over its failure to rein in anti-Semitic activity. Harvard’s National Lawyers Guild chapter, a left-wing legal advocacy group, hosted the "Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon" on April 2 at Harvard Law’s WCC student center, according to an announcement on Harvard Law’s website.

Third-year Harvard Law student Corinne Shanahan, an organizer with Harvard Out of Occupied Palestine, organized the clinic for students to "gather data to edit the Wikipedia pages of Big Law firms to reflect cases they have recently argued." Two days later, Harvard Law student Aashna Avachat edited the Wikipedia pages of 14 law firms, mostly to add details of their representation of clients that the activist students deemed to be unsavory, according to a Washington Free Beacon review of Wikipedia edit logs.

Avachat edited the pages for the firms Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett to soften the language about anti-Semitic activity on college campuses. Amid a wave of anti-Semitic protests following the Hamas attack on Israel, the two firms warned Harvard Law and others that they would cut back on recruiting on their campuses for failing to rein in anti-Semitic incidents. The edit logs show Avachat changed the term "antisemitic incidents" to "pro-Palestine protests," and reworded references to "incidents targeting Jewish students" to incidents that the law firms "described … as antisemitic." Avachat herself was involved in one incident at Harvard in which her law school classmate, Ibrahim Bharmal, accosted and shoved a Jewish student during an anti-Israel "die-in." Avachat said she witnessed the incident and claimed Bharmal was protecting "peaceful protesters" against an "aggressive" Jewish student.

The Real Politics of Israel Part 1: The U.S.-Israel Deep State
2025-04-06
[PJMedia] Thanks to the mainstream media in the United States, most Americans believe that Israeli politics are simple; that Israelis are about to have a civil war over hostages and what should be done with Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
; that most Israelis cannot stand Benjamin Netanyahu; and that Netanyahu is a corrupt leader who has betrayed his people for political opportunism.

Nothing could be further from the actual truth on all of these points.

Before going into the details of each of these issues, it is important to remember where these reports are coming from-- namely, the same "news" outlets that said Hunter Biden’s computer was fake, the Russian collusion propaganda was real, and that Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
is a fascist
...anybody you disagree with, damn them...
dictator who wants to be the king of America. The exact same people who made those fallacious claims domestically in the United States are making the same type of claims about Israel... and with the same agenda.

The "deep state" in America is mirrored in Israel, where there is a partnership between a leftist media and leftist corrupt leaders who have for years been attempting to take over the politics of the Holy Land. In the same way that we have seen this Deep State attack President Trump, the same has been happening for years against Netanyahu, and for the same reasons: both men truly want what is best for their respective countries; and both men are not willing to succumb to Deep State alliances of media, babus bureaucrats, and corrupt leftists.

For Trump's entire first presidency, we saw an attempted coup to remove him from office that utilized everything from false charges and ridiculous impeachments, to propaganda put out by media outlets, to staged riots and well-funded demonstrations. Looking back, most Americans have recognized the corruption that was involved in these attempts, and that there really was a coordinated effort to remove him from office by any means possible.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has been and is experiencing the same thing. And in the same way that the Deep State of America was exposed and, as a result, weakened, the same exposing must take place of the Israeli Deep State.

It is simplest to start with understanding the man, and why he is hated by his opposition. Benjamin Netanyahu, who has served on and off as prime minister for over 17 years starting in 1996, has dedicated his life to serving Israel. Having first enlisted in 1967 as part of the IDF special forces unit, Sayeret Matkal, he came to the U.S. for college. He earned multiple degrees from both MIT and Harvard; reenlisted in the IDF each time there was a conflict or war; and always strove to honor the memory of his brother and best friend Yonaton, who died rescuing the hostages in the raid on Entebbe, in which more than 100 hostages were rescued in 1976.

By 1978, he had returned to Israel and founded the Jonathan Netanyahu Anti-Terror Institute. He started to develop political relationships and became involved in Israeli politics, becoming Israel's ambassador to the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
from 1984 to 1989. Netanyahu became a member of the Knesset in 1988, became leader of the Likud party, and first became prime minister in 1996.

From 1967 onwards, this man dedicated his life to the defense of Israel, and specifically since 1978, to fighting terrorism. His political beliefs have always been reflective of the man himself. Mitt Romney'>Willard Mitt Romney, aka Pierre Delecto
...former governor of Massachussetts, the Publican nominee for president in 2012, now Senator from Utah. He is the son of the former governor of Michigan, George Romney, who himself ran for president after saving American Motors from failure, though not permanently. Romney has a record as a successful businessman, heading Bain Capital, and he rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from the midst of bribery and mismanagement scandals. He is currently a trans Republican and a member in good standing of the Never Trump Party, attempting to assume the mantle of the late John McCain...>
, with whom he worked at Boston Consulting Group directly out of college, described Netanyahu almost 40 years ago as "a strong personality with a distinct point of view." Shaped by the tragic loss of his brother, Netanyahu has, for almost half a century, worked to fight evil and defend Israel.

As in the United States and President Trump's case, having the values of defending your nation and fighting evil do not necessarily make you popular with the "swamp."

Netanyahu was always a polarizing figure in Israel, but everything changed for him and for the world with the election of the self-appointed Messiah, Barack Obama
How much damage could he do in four years?... Eight, then...
, in 2008. Obama, whose actions demonstrated an anti-Semitism that liberal American Jews did not want to recognize at the time, expected Netanyahu to kowtow to his slightest whim. Obama was entirely ignorant of Middle Eastern history, and was committed to a Paleostinian state with 1967 borders and to being allied with Iran.

Netanyahu knew that these values were antithetical to the survival of the State of Israel. Despite Obama's attempts to control Netanyahu through either "the carrot or the stick", Netanyahu kept his commitment to his values, which enraged Obama. In his 2022 memoir, Netanyahu wrote that Obama "had given [Paleostinian Authority President] the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....>
a secret commitment to establish a full-fledged Paleostinian state before he left office," something that Israel could not and should not ever accept.

The autobiography makes clear the hatred of Obama towards Netanyahu, and the many ways that Obama strove to both hurt Israel politically and Netanyahu personally. He speaks about Obama acting like a gangster with threats, and Obama's fury at Netanyahu not capitulating. When Netanyahu was invited by Congress to speak in 2015 without Obama's blessing, Obama's anger was increased exponentially yet again. And with his anger came actions against Netanyahu.

Similar to the case of President Trump, Obama successfully started using his relationships in the media and the bureaucracy to attack Netanyahu. The Deep State was already well entrenched in Obama's regime. We all now know how it used its partnership with mainstream media to attack Trump repeatedly. But it also attacked Netanyahu.

It wasn't just American media that attacked Netanyahu. As in the United States, there are many leftists involved in Israeli media. The Jerusalem Post is almost identical to the New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

in tone and agenda. As of this week, the editor of the Post, Zvika Klein, is even being questioned about Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
’s financial support of the paper and Klein’s suspected involvement with foreign agents. The Times of Israel, although it does have some conservative voices, is also essentially a mouthpiece for leftist values, as are many of the Israeli television channels. The Deep State in Israel, supported and aligned by the leftists here in the United States, has been attacking Netanyahu for years. And like in America, it is not just the media, but self-serving politicians who seek their own power rather than the good of their nation.

Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition party, was briefly prime minister in between Netanyahu's terms. Like the stereotypical politician, he is concerned with his own power rather than the well-being of his country and people. Even when asked by his government not to travel to the United States, Lapid has taken every opportunity to meet with Obama, Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....
, and others in the Democratic party leadership to garner their support and his hopeful election. But his efforts to weaken Netanyahu pale in comparison to the attempts by Israeli courts to destroy Netanyahu and legislate from the bench.

Unlike the United States, Israel does not have a formal written constitution. Although in its Declaration of Independence there is a commitment that there would be one, this was supplanted by a concept of Basic Laws in 1950 that eventually became the base of a written constitution. But because of a series of legal judgments by the Israeli High Court, that never happened.

Instead, the Israeli High Court actually holds a tremendous amount of the power, including the ability to change any laws passed by the Knesset. High Court judges are appointed positions and serve until they are 70 years old. Currently, three judges were appointed by Shimon Peres, who had been one of the officials in 2005 supporting Israel's entire withdrawal from Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
. Four other judges were appointed by current President Herzog, who is a great man on many levels, but a center/left politician who appointed left-leaning judges.

Because the judges of the High Court are not elected but have control over Israeli legislation, there have been many conflicts, especially during the terms of Netanyahu. Recently, in July of 2023, the Knesset passed legislation to prevent the High Court from overturning legislation that was passed by elected officials of the Knesset. This bill was passed to prevent the court from forcing Israel to act based upon the liberal interpretations of the Court, as opposed to the desires of the prime minister, Knesset, and the people themselves. Because of the very odd way the basic law is structured, the High Court was deciding for itself whether it should lose power or not. Unsurprisingly, the court voted 8-7 to overturn this legislation written by elected officials, but that would weaken their own personal power and prohibit them from continuing to legislate from the bench.

A Deep State that includes politicians, media, and the judicial branch: Israel mirrors the United States in this dangerous alliance. And again, just as in the United States, this alliance is joined by well-financed "activists" and demonstrators. In America, this has led to the many attempted coups to remove President Trump from office. In Israel, this same cabal is working in the same way to attempt a coup on Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Mia Love, first Black GOP congresswoman, shares heartbreaking brain cancer diagnosis
2025-03-02
[NY Post] God bless. My Dad died from Glioblastoma. It's a death sentence
Former Rep. Mia Love, who became the first Black woman elected to Congress for the GOP, shared the new grim reality of her brain cancer diagnosis in a statement issued Saturday.

The family of Love, 49, said she was diagnosed with glioblastoma and has now stopped all treatment for a malignant tumor as the disease has become too advanced.

"Hello Friends, I’m Mia’s daughter Abigale. Many of you are aware that Mom has been fighting GBM brain cancer," the doting daughter wrote on X via her mother’s account.

"Sadly her cancer is no longer responding to treatment and the cancer is progressing. We have shifted our focus from treatment to enjoying our remaining time with her," Abigale wrote.

The mother of three was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2022, and revealed her diagnosis in 2023. Glioblastoma manifests in the form of a brain tumor; it is an aggressive form of cancer that has an unknown exact cause.

Border Patrol Agent Killed in Inauguration Day Shoot-out
2025-01-23
[PJMedia] Around 3:15 on Monday, just hours after President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
was sworn in for his second presidential term, Border Patrol Agent David "Chris" Maland was murdered during a traffic stop on Interstate 91 between Newport and Orleans, Vermont, about 20 miles from the Canadian border.

While it's not exactly clear what Maland was looking for, authorities say Maland and one of the stopped car's two passengers engaged in a shoot-out. Both Maland and the passenger were killed, while the third person was injured and is currently at a local hospital.

Vincent Illuzzi, who serves as the state's attorney in nearby Essex County, told the News Agency that Dare Not be Named that he saw what he believed to be the traffic stop and didn't think much about it. It appeared that the agent's white pickup truck had its red and blue lights flashing, and a small blue car was parked in front of it. The agent and another person were talking in front of the truck and behind the car.

Initially, some media outlets reported that the suspect was possibly an undocumented Democrat, but according to the FBI, he was actually a German national who appears to be in the United States with a current visa. The FBI's Albany field office told Fox News that it is currently investigating the incident: "FBI Albany has numerous resources in the area, to include our Evidence Response Team (ERT), Victim Services, Digital Forensics, and dozens of Special Agents."

According to Paul Perez, president of the National Border Control Council, Maland was a canine handler. Perez told Fox News that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) was involved, and the agencies were working together based off some intel they received. He says it wasn't a "targeted" operation, but it wasn't random, and Maland suspected the person or people he was looking for might be inside the car. He added that there are less Border Patrol Agents at the Canadian border compared to Mexico, so it's not unusual for them to work independently. Perez couldn't confirm whether the situation involved border security in any way, but he also confirmed that the suspect was not a U.S. citizen.

Either way, the situation highlights the fact that our national security threat isn't limited to the Mexican border. Last month, I wrote about how the number of terror suspects who enter the country illegally through Canada has grown exponentially since Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The man who made Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter look competent, if only by comparison....
took office. In the last fiscal year, 358 potential terror suspects were encountered at the Canadian border, compared to just 52 at the Mexican one. Compare that to 2021 when only 54 suspected terrorist came in from Canada, while 103 came in from Mexico

Maland was 44 years old and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He'd been with the U.S. Border Patrol for nearly a decade, and he had reportedly transferred from Texas to Vermont to cover the northern border.

KamalaHQ returns, with a fantastic oxymoron of a name, ‘defunct’ campaign fund still charging donor credit cards

Courtesy of Skidmark:
Fury as Kamala Harris' failed campaign fund is still charging donors recurring fees

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Kamala Harris stunningly ended her 2024 presidential campaign leaving Democrats $20 million in debt. But her defeated campaign's joint fundraising committee is still charging supporters recurring donations that were set up during the vice president's bid for a promotion, according to a new report from Politico. And many feel seeing the continued charge on their credit cards adds salt to the wound of an already stinging loss.

The Harris Victory Fund did not seek donors' explicit approval to keep withdrawing cash after the 2024 election on November 5, 2024. Rather, an email claims they would continue seeing the charge 'until you contact us' to stop it.

A staffer who worked on former Sen. Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign says that the charges are 'super shady' and called it a sort of 'grift.' They disclosed how Romney's campaign immediately canceled all recurring donations a few days after his election loss to President Barack Obama.

'These people didn't sign up to be paying bills in January,' the former Romney staffer claimed.

The move is also seen as tone deaf and 'out of touch' considering Harris drove her party into massive debt and ran up a huge bill after taking over President Joe Biden's campaign.

There's usually an expectation that campaigns shut down recurring donations once their bid for office ends – whether in victory or defeat.

A Democratic National Committee official explained to Politico that the Harris Victory Fund is defunct. They claim that the contributions collected for Harris' campaign through recurring charges set up during the 2024 presidential race are now transferred to the DNC 'to help Democrats across the country as we rebuild the party.'

'It's silly, out of touch, and needlessly takes advantage of our most loyal supporters,' one Democrat told Politico when sharing screenshots of charges to their accounts continuing into the new year.

Donors spent $4.7 billion backing both the Democratic and Republican tickets in the 2024 presidential election.

Federal Election Commission data shows that Harris and her Democratic allied groups raised roughly $2.9 billion over the Republicans who brought in $1.8 billion to back Trump's third straight White House bid.

Mike Nellis, who runs Democratic online fundraising firm Authentic, said that among losing campaigns 'there's an expectation that they're going to shut down the recurring donations because there's no need.'

He admitted, however, that there is some 'comfort' in knowing that the committee is rolled into donating the funds to the DNC as long as they are transparents to their donors about where the money is going.

Recurring contributions are a common tactic in political campaigns to secure steady bankroll for the election. Many candidates and the groups backing them encourage supporters to sign up for low recurring donations rather than higher, one-time contributions.

Gaza ceasefire talks at ''decisive'' point with deal ''nearly done''; VP-elect JD Vance defines Trump’s ‘all hell breaking loose’, fmr PA minister says trade will be 25 hostages for 1,248 Paleo jihadis

A leadership source in Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
exclusively told The New Arab's Arabic-language sister site al-Araby al-Jadeed on Saturday that nearly all the details of the ''final concept'' of a Gaza ceasefire deal had been complete.

The source said that the mediators were now preparing to announce that a ceasefire deal had been reached, after the Israeli delegation sent by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived.

Negotiations have long been stalled and have been continuously scuppered by Netanyahu and his right-wing allies — who have wanted to keep the brutal Gaza war going — whenever a deal appeared close.

However,
the way to a man's heart remains through his stomach...
this time Paleostinian sources have indicated that things are different and a ceasefire deal is nearly ready.

Another Paleostinian source told al-Araby al-Jadeed that technical teams from mediating powers the US, Qatar, and Egypt and both sides had finished preparing the agreement.

They added that the agreement would be implemented 24 hours after Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, agrees to it.

Vance: Allowing Israel to dismantle Hamas’s last battalions is what Trump means by ‘all hell’
[IsraelTimes] US Vice President-elect JD Vance appears to reveal the practical implication of Donald Trump

’s threat that "all hell will break loose" if the hostages are not released by January 20.

"It means enabling the Israelis to knock out the final couple of battalions of Hamas

and their leadership. It means very aggressive sanctions and financial penalties on those who are supporting terrorist organizations in the Middle East. It means actually doing the job of American leadership," Vance tells ’FOX News Sunday.’

The IDF indeed states that it has yet to dismantle the final two of Hamas’s 24 battalions in Gazoo

, but that is because they are believed to be holding many of the remaining 98 hostages in central Gaza. Accordingly, the IDF has avoided operating there en masse, so as not to risk the lives of the hostages, given that a number of them have been accidentally killed in IDF operations or were executed by their Hamas captors when they feared Israeli troops were approaching.

Vance does not elaborate on the financial sanctions that the incoming Trump administration has planned against Hamas, but the Biden administration has already levied a host of sanctions against the terror group and has issued arrest warrants for several of its leaders.

The incoming vice president asserts Trump’s threat of "all hell to pay" in the Mideast if the hostages are not released is what sparked recent progress in the ongoing hostage talks.

"We’re hopeful there’s going to be a deal that struck toward the very end of Biden’s administration — maybe the last day or two," Vance says. "But regardless of when that deal is struck, it will be because people are terrified that there are going to be consequences for Hamas."

Hostage deal terms will get worse after Trump takes office, incoming US national security adviser warns Hamas
[IsraelTimes] Incoming national security adviser Mike Waltz warns Hamas that the terms for a hostage deal will get worse if it waits until US President-elect Donald Trump enters office.

“Let’s allow our hostages to be set free. I want to see them walking across the tarmac, or at a minimum, some type of agreement before inauguration because President Trump is serious,” Waltz tells ABC’s “This Week.”

“Any deal will only get worse for Hamas, and there will be all hell to pay in the Middle East if we continue to have this kind of hostage diplomacy,” Waltz adds.

Former PA minister: 1st stage of hostage deal would free 25 Israelis in exchange for 1,248 Palestinian prisoners
If he’s no longer in the government, how does he know?
The first stage of a potential hostage-ceasefire deal with Hamas will entail the release of 25 Israeli hostages in exchange for 48 Palestinian security prisoners who were freed in the Shalit deal in 2011 and incarcerated again since, along with 200 prisoners serving life sentences, and another 1,000 detainees including women, children and wounded prisoners, according to a Palestinian prisoner advocacy group.

In a rare interview with Ramallah’s Maan news agency, Prisoners Club director Qadura Fares adds that all of the Palestinian prisoners would be allowed to return to their homes in East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank, except those serving life sentences, who would most likely be deported to either Qatar, Egypt or Turkey.

The former PA minister notes that this exception is necessary for the protection of the Palestinian prisoners against Israeli assassination attempts.

The Prisoners Club is a Palestinian organization that advocates on behalf of Palestinians in Israeli jails. While the organization used to be financially supported by the Palestinian Authority, Ramallah has reportedly ceased funding the body for at least five years.

Fares is also quoted by Maan as saying that Israel has been pushing for nine more hostages to be released in the first phase, including wounded IDF soldiers, in exchange for a yet-to-be-negotiated number of Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences.

The comments come amid reports of progress in ongoing talks in Doha to seal a hostage-ceasefire deal before US President-elect Donald Trump takes office next week.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a high-level Israeli delegation to Qatar last night to join the talks.

Not just the working class. A lot of new Republican voters look like JD Vance and Elon Musk.
Last month, Trump, 78, became the first Republican to win the popular vote for the presidency in two decades. The president-elect also notched the most robust support from minority voters of a Republican in decades.

Many in the party's progressive wing have faulted the Dems for shifting more to the center in the 2024 cycle
