Hunter Biden, booted and blacklisted from Chateau Marmont in 2018 |
2021-06-19 |
[AMERICANTHINKER] Back when Joe The Big GuyBiden ...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier... was shaking down fat-cat donors for cash and getting out there in his first moves to run for president in 2018, son Hunter, was having the time of his life. No one in the press noticed this. But among West Hollywood's elite hoteliers, they knew, they knew it very well. According to text messages found on Hunter Biden ![]() 's abandoned laptop computer, he conversed with an employee pal at the famed old grand West Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont, a celebrity redoubt he had been using as his flophouse, writing: "Did you know that I have to get pre-approval from the GM at the Chateau before I am allowed to make a reservation?" Biden texted a Chateau employee. "Seriously I tried to stay there late last night and the Ass handing me keys when he read a note in the system that said under no circumstance am I allowed in bldg without her pre approval." The employee offered to check on Biden’s status and texted later with an update. "Apparently you were banned for ’drug use’ is what I was just told, which is bull****," the employee relayed. Then the following exchange occurred: Biden: "Manager — GM — f*** them. It was so f***ing embarrassing. The two women at the drive were right there and said wtf. Drug use???? You have to be ducking kidding me. I was banned for drug use at the Chateau Marmont. You have to be f***ing kidding me." Employee: "Lol exactly." Biden: "Well that’s a f***ing first in the Hotels history I guess. Should I take it as a badge of honor. Tell you what?" Employee: "Don’t stress. If you need anything just ask. Let’s grab a drunk soon." No, he's not the first. And no, it's not a badge of honor. Hunter joined the likes of Brittany Spears who had been banned in 2007, and Lindsey Lohan, who had been banned in 2012, both for revolting behavior. Related: Hunter Biden: 2021-06-17 'No yellow!' After Screwing the GOP, Jeff Flake Parties with Sen. Coons, Rock Stars at Global Citizen Festival |
2018-10-02 |
[PJ] Smiling from ear to duplicitous ear, Sen. Jeff Flake (fake Republican-Ariz.) took the stage in front of a roaring crowd of #GlobalCitizens at a rock festival on Saturday. Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), the chap who seems to have talked Flake into betraying his constituents and party leaders, was alongside him in a bipartisan show of support for the big fat wrench in the form of a "one-week" delay in the confirmation process for Judge Kavanaugh. I put "one-week" in quotes because the chances of it ending before the midterms are about as minuscule as Lindsay Lohan making good life choices. It's possible, but it sure doesn't look like it's happening any time soon. You would think that in this very serious time, where Flake himself worried that America is tearing itself apart over the "intergalactic freakshow" the Senate process has become, he would be more reserved and serious about the decision he made to drag it out even longer and put half of the country he is supposed to be representing on high blood pressure meds. You would think he would have the good sense to be photographed with Mitch McConnell, looking deeply concerned. But no. Instead, we get this: He thinks he's a flippin' rock star! "You can join me in an elevator anytime!" a beaming Flake shouts to a crowd of screaming twenty-year-olds whose brains haven't fully developed yet and who probably think he's one of the dads on Full House. The audience he's trying to impress is full of the socialist-cheering young people hanging on every word of the likes of Janet Jackson, John Legend, Robert De Niro, and Disney stars I can't name. Every single one of them is a far-left kook. |

Is Lindsay Lohan Converting to Islam?

Members of the Muslim faith are welcoming Lindsay Lohan to Islam
Over the weekend, Lohan got rid of every photo on her Instagram page, leaving nothing but her profile picture and a bio that now reads: ’Alaikum salam.’ The Arabic greeting translates to ’and unto you peace,’ and many took it mean that Lohan was converting to the Muslim faith.
Yes, this is only about Ms. Lohan, but the larger picture is that so many Lister downgrades are converting to this abomination.

Golden Chains: 5 Ways America's Wealth Undermines Our Character |
2016-06-25 |
[PJ] "Middle-class society is being strained to the breaking point not, as Marx predicted, by ever-increasing misery but by ever-increasing affluence." -- Eric Hoffer "Adversity makes men, and prosperity makes monsters." -- Victor Hugo It goes without saying that it's better to be rich than poor. However, that doesn't mean that affluence doesn't have its own perils. People instinctively recognize this on a personal level. That's why fabulously wealthy villains are a staple of TV and movies. It's why we mock spoiled, rich celebrities like Meghan McCain, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan. It's why many Americans, fairly or in most cases unfairly, tend to assume that the rich don't understand what life is like for ordinary Americans. Of course, this bring to mind the following question: Why is it that so many Americans can recognize this when they see it in front of them with individuals, but fail to see the same things happening on a national level? |

Miley Cyrus: Latest Ex-Child Star Headed for a Fall? |
2013-10-06 |
![]() Old tasteless meets new tasteless. The former "Hannah Montana" actress turned pop princess burst into the wider public's mind with her sexually suggestive twerking performance at the MTV video music award show in August. Didja ever notice how these dipsy doodles all play likable, commonsensical young women and then drop sixty IQ points about the time they're coming up old enough to vote? Then came the video for her latest single "Wrecking Ball," in which she swings naked on a demolition ball and licks a sledgehammer in an almost laughably suggestive manner. The 20-year-old has defended herself by saying she is merely growing up. Looked more like she's going the other direction. And the publicity will certainly do no harm to sales of her records. Probably it won't hurt her sales. Madonna's been doing such things for years. But others warn she could be following in the footsteps of the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, and more recently Zac Efron, Who? as she makes the transition to the grown-up world. I know lots of grownups. None of them "twerk." "There is such a thing as bad publicity," Robert Thompson, a professor of pop culture of Syracuse University, told Agence France Presse. "Especially these child stars in their transition years, some of the publicity turns them from people who actually had promising careers to... objects of mockery. "Lindsay Lohan really suffered that," he said, while Miley is "well on that path... Whenever you hear Miley Cyrus mentioned in the last couple of weeks, it's always been in a form of mockery, and often disdain." |

Lindsay Lohan Vows her Troubled Past is Behind Her |
2013-08-20 |
![]() In an interview that aired Sunday with Oprah Winfrey, the trouble-prone actress declared that this, her sixth stint in rehab, has put her on a path of recovery. Lohan said she's in "a different head space" now and vowed to stay "present and clear-headed and focused." "I feel whole again," she told Winfrey, "and I have such a desire to want to keep this feeling and stay this way, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes." Lohan, 27, completed her latest court-ordered stay in rehab in July. She must continue therapy into late next year. She acknowledged an addiction to alcohol, which "in the past was a gateway to other things for me," but she offered no specifics other than cocaine, which she said she has used no more than 15 times. Winfrey asked her what she's on these days. Lohan replied, "Vitamins." "You're not on any prescription drugs?" Winfrey pressed. "No, no," Lohan insisted, then checked herself: "I take Nexium. Because I have acid reflux." Clad in a form-fitting orange dress, Lohan said a comfort level with her past chaotic life had fed her much-reported partying and her brushes with the law. But she added that she takes full blame for her mistakes. When Winfrey asked if she can turn her life around this time, Lohan said with no hesitation, "Yeah." The interview aired as an episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" on the Oprah Winfrey Network, which will spotlight Lohan next year in an eight-part docuseries based on her life. |

Egyptians Struggle as Wary Tourists Stay Away
2013-04-03 | ||||||||||
Adel Abdul Latif supported his family making the Pharaonic alabaster figurines that vendors hawk at the temples around Luxor. He also worked in construction, which depended on the prosperity of the local hoteliers and other businesspeople who hired him. Then the tourists stopped coming.
For Egyptians taking nervous note of the countrys mounting calamities, with security ebbing and prices rising, the sustained drop-off in tourism has been especially alarming. Tourism provides direct jobs for nearly three million people, critical income to more than 70 industries and 20 percent of the states foreign currency now desperately needed to prop up the plummeting Egyptian pound. The changes to Egypts complexion have been just as startling, as coveted tourism destinations have become bargain stops, celebrated temples have emptied and residents have directed their anger at the capital, Cairo, the site of the interminable political squabbles and street violence that have kept the tourists away. We are the ones that suffer, said Ezzat Saad, the governor of Luxor, where in better times tourists relax on Nile cruises or stroll through the Great Hypostyle Hall at the nearby Temple of Karnak. These days, on the streets below the governors office, idle workers spend much of their time talking about the failings of the government. Whatever I do on the local level, Mr. Saad said, whatever the minister of tourism does, it has a ceiling. We will never get back what was without political stability or security. Tourism plummeted in 2011 with the fall of President Hosni Mubarak and the unrest that followed. Some tourists have started to return, but officials say they are mostly beachgoers rather than the more lucrative cultural tourists who spend 10 days or more in Egypt, and spend accordingly during once-in-a-lifetime vacations. Every headline about a riot in Egypt deepens the crisis. Cairo has been the hardest hit, with hotel occupancy falling to below 15 percent or worse in parts of the city closest to protests, according to Hani el-Shaer of the Egyptian Hotel Association. From Cairo, the hardship ripples across the country, affecting taxi and horse carriage drivers, boat operators, tour guides and store vendors. If something goes wrong in Cairo, tourists cancel the whole trip, said Hisham Zaazou, Egypts minister of tourism.
We want to give assurances that Egypt is not just a square Officials also are pushing to attract tourists from new markets, to replace the American and other visitors sitting out the current crisis. The government has focused on India, and especially Iran, whose relationship with Egypt has started to warm after decades of official animosity.
For now, Luxor feels like a ghost town, haunted by the trappings of its glamorous past. Cruise ships are idle and moored together in bunches along the Nile. On the Corniche promenade, horse carriage drivers scuffle among themselves over the few tourists who emerge from the grand Winter Palace Hotel, its gardens and restaurants splendid but deserted. A proprietor at Gaddis & Co., a souvenir shop below the hotel that opened in 1907, called this the most sustained tourism crisis in Luxor since the period between Egypts last wars with Israel in 1967 and 1973. Even after militants killed 60 tourists in 1997 at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, visitors stayed away for only a few months, said Badawy Fikri, a guard who works at the temple. Before the uprising, he said, I wouldnt recognize a friend in the crowds. On a recent Sunday, only a trickle of visitors walked through the temples colonnaded terraces. Ahmed Allam, a frustrated tour guide, said Egypt needed to think outside the box, searching, as many do, for novel ways to make Egypt desirable again. He noted that ancient Egypt had lost its most tireless promoter, the flamboyant archaeologist Zahi Hawass, who was sidelined after the uprising because of legal troubles and his ties to the former government. We need to make it easier to film movies here, Mr. Allam said. We need celebrities.
There were no visitors at the nearby mortuary temple of Ramses II to see the fallen statue linked by legend to Ozymandias. A group of Egyptian schoolchildren had the Luxor museum largely to themselves, troubled only by a group of tour guides who strolled through mostly, one of the guides said, because they had nothing better to do. I have colleagues who have tours every three or four months, said Mohamed Aziz, who has worked as a guide for eight years and is on the verge of trying something else. Lots of people are working without salaries. We have hopes and dreams. Reality is something else. By some estimates, up to 90 percent of people working in Luxor and the surrounding towns like Bairat were dependent on tourism, officials said. A local charity in Bairat that provided aid to poor families, orphans and disabled people said that many of its most important donors like hotel and cruise boat owners had stopped giving. Abulatta Ibrahim, who sits on the board of the charity, said they had stopped construction on a community center that was to include a school, a manufacturing center for dressmakers and a clinic. If we dont have tourists, he said, we cant do this.

Lindsay Lohan Panned for Taylor-Burton TV Flick |
2012-11-18 |
![]() The respected Hollywood Reporter pulled no punches in its review of TV movie "Liz and Dick," about the film legend's stormy relationship with actor Richard Burton, Lohan's first project since a string of court appearances. "Both an awful mess and an instant classic of unintentional hilarity," it said in summarizing a 1,200-word hatchet job by its critic, who opined: "Lohan is woeful as Taylor from start to finish." "It should come as no great surprise that ("Liz & Dick") movie starring Lindsay Lohan is spectacularly bad. After all, it's Lohan, more memorable in the tabloids than she ever was as an actress," he added. "But whatever you do don't miss 'Liz & Dick.' Drinking games were made for movies like this. The best part is that it gets worse as it goes on, so in the right company with the right beverages, (it) could be unbearably hilarious." |
