"Accordingly, the NRSC requests guidance from the Commission on how to accurately report these in-kind contributions to the Republican Party."

Hasan Piker has become something of a political gift to Republicans, and an increasingly awkward liability for the movement he claims to support, or perhaps "overthrow," depending on the day. At a time when Republicans argue they have won the argument on basic cultural common sense, Piker offers voters a constant reminder of exactly the sort of politics many Americans hoped they were voting to leave behind.

Those lines may play well in the most online corners of the progressive left, but to normal Americans, they sound less like a political platform and more like a warning label.

That creates a problem for Democrats

, because Piker is not merely yelling radical ideas into the void. His enormous online platform has made him a political force for candidates on the party’s far-left flank, from Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan and Troy Jackson in Maine to James Talarico in Texas and Zohran Mamdani in New York. So Democrats are left attempting the familiar "big tent" balancing act: insisting they do not agree with Piker’s comments while continuing to court the activist base that treats him as an indispensable voice. They may call that coalition-building, and they absolutely can, but Republicans will call it what it really is: an in-kind contribution to the Republican cause.

A progressive group has endorsed a 27-year-old substitute teacher who overcame childhood homelessness in his bid to unseat the veteran Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz in Florida.

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) said it was backing Elijah Manley in next week’s primary election in Florida’s newly drawn 20th congressional district, casting the race as a contest between a young economic populist and a stalwart of the Democratic party establishment.

Wasserman Schultz, 59, an 11-term congresswoman and former chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), has faced criticism from African American leaders over her decision to run as the sole white candidate in a majority-minority district where she is not a resident.

This followed the creation of gerrymandered congressional maps by Florida Republicans that broke Wasserman Schultz’s current seat into five shards. She decided against running in the 22nd district, where she lives, and chose instead to compete in the deep blue 20th, which has been represented by Black Democrats for more than 30 years.

Yvette Clarke, chair of the Congressional Black caucus, told the Politico website on Friday: "It’s a painful situation. To have a beloved colleague who made a decision basically to run in a district where historically there’s been CBC representation, and I know that the community has been really disrupted by it."

Other candidates in the primary include former congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, who resigned in April over allegations of misusing $5m in federal funds, which she denies; former Broward County mayor Dale Holness; and community activist Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell, a rapper best known for his role in 2 Live Crew.

Manley, who is Black, grew up homeless in Fort Lauderdale’s historic Sistrunk neighbourhood. He is campaigning on universal healthcare, a federal jobs guarantee and a pledge to build "an economy where workers have rights, working families can thrive, and the wealthy pay their fair share".

Stephanie Taylor, a co-founder of the PCCC, said: "Elijah Manley isn’t just talking about the fight for working people — he’s lived it. He’s running a campaign built on Medicare for All, good jobs, and an economy that finally works for the people, not just the wealthy and well-connected. Debbie Wasserman Schultz represents the Democratic establishment. Voters are ready for young new fighters like Elijah."

A May poll by the Listener Group suggested that Manley could pose a serious challenge to Wasserman Schultz. In an initial head-to-head matchup, she led 39% to 21%. But after voters were given basic biographical information about the candidates, Manley moved ahead, 36% to 27%, according to the poll cited by the PCCC.

Manley welcomed the endorsement, saying the group had been "on the frontlines of every major fight for working people" for more than a decade. "I’m honoured to earn their endorsement," he said. "Together, we’re going to fight for the working families of South Florida and build an economy that works for everyone."

Wasserman Schultz, who has been a member of Congress since 2005, has long been a divisive figure for Democrats. She was forced to resign as DNC chair after criticism from supporters of the progressive senator Bernie Sanders when leaked emails suggested a bias in favour of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential primary election.

Manley tweeted in May: "Debbie Wasserman Schultz is carpetbagging to FL-20, a black opportunity district instead of running in her own. DWS is everything that’s wrong with the Democratic establishment. From insider trading to payday lenders. I look forward to retiring her from public office permanently."

The PCCC is also backing Oliver Larkin, a democratic socialist organiser and union strategist challenging the Democrat Jared Moskowitz in Florida’s newly drawn 25th congressional district.

The PCCC said its endorsed candidates who have already won primaries this cycle include Peggy Flanagan in Minnesota’s Senate race, Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan’s Senate contest, James Talarico in Texas’s Senate election and Brad Lander in New York’s 10th congressional district.

Troops of the Nigerian Army and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have intercepted three suspected terrorists in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.

The suspects were intercepted at about 2:14 p.m. on Aug. 5 by troops of 73 Battalion, in collaboration with the CJTF, around the Kayamla general area of Konduga LGA.

According to a military source, the suspects claimed to be repentant terrorists undergoing rehabilitation at the Bulumkutu Rehabilitation Centre and said they were visiting their farms.

However, one of the suspects was allegedly found in possession of two rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition.

Whoops! Not so rehabbed after all. Taqiyya!

Soros network rebuilds progressive prosecutor push after string of election losses

The Soros family has pumped more than $1 million into political action committees (PACs) dedicated to electing progressive prosecutors this election cycle, campaign finance documents show.

While some predicted that Soros-backed district attorneys would become a thing of the past after sustaining a string of defeats between 2022 and 2024, records suggest that the liberal family is giving their criminal justice reform crusade another go. Democracy PAC, now run by George Soros’s son Alex, pumped roughly $1.7 million into the federal and non-federal arms of the Justice & Public Safety PAC between March 2025 and April 2026, according to public records.

Of the 25 district attorneys with links to Soros that appeared on the ballot in 2024, 12 were either defeated or recalled. Of the 75 Soros-linked prosecutors his organization had identified since 2022, 50 had either left office or been replaced with more moderate officials.

The renewed spending signals that the Soros network is rebuilding its effort to shape local criminal justice policy ahead of the 2026 elections, despite a voter backlash that removed or replaced dozens of prosecutors linked to its funding.

By directing significant resources to Justice & Public Safety PAC, the family is positioning the group to again influence races where decisions on bail, charging and sentencing can drastically reshape public safety.

The Soros family, led for decades by billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros, has spent heavily on charitable foundations and political committees to advance liberal candidates and human rights worldwide, including efforts to make society more equitable through criminal justice reform and other initiatives. The elder Soros transferred control of the family’s roughly $25 billion philanthropic and political network to his son Alex in 2023.

Justice & Public Safety PAC is the organization responsible for providing financial backing to a number of prosecutors who have since become infamous in conservative circles, according to Influence Watch. Among these are former Alameda County, California, District Attorney Pamela Price, former Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, former St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner and former Cook County, Illinois, State Attorney Kim Foxx.

Critics charge that these prosecutors fail to incarcerate dangerous members of society, leading to increased crime. Supporters, meanwhile, maintain that addressing the root causes of crime, such as poverty and inequality, will stop offenses before they occur and that harsh punishments for criminals incentivizes recidivism.

Gascon, for one, attracted criticism for ordering his prosecutors not to pursue many sentencing enhancements, which can result in criminals being put away for longer, and for drastically reducing the number of misdemeanors tried by his office, according to the Los Angeles Times. He faced significant internal dissent as crime rates climbed, with rank-and-file prosecutors voting nearly unanimously to support a recall effort against him, Politico reported.

Krasner, meanwhile, has been denounced for presiding over a historic homicide spike in his city while he reduced prosecutions.

These controversies were not without consequences for Soros-backed prosecutors.

Of the 25 district attorneys with links to Soros that appeared on the ballot in 2024, 12 were either defeated or recalled, including Gascon. Sean Kennedy, the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund’s policy director, told Fox News Digital at the time that, of the 75 Soros-linked prosecutors his organization had identified since 2022, 50 had either left office or been replaced with more moderate officials.

Justice & Public Safety backed a progressive prosecutor in Virginia’s 2025 election, providing some potential insight into the kinds of candidates it will bankroll as Election Day 2026 approaches.

The committee spent six figures backing the candidacy of Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney Ramin Fatehi, campaign finance records show. Conservatives criticized Fatehi over his opposition to cash bail, his resistance to prosecuting crimes like shoplifting and his participation in a coalition of prosecutors aiming to prosecute federal immigration agents.

"The old-fashioned view about public safety was not taking into account externalities. It was focused on the idea of crime as an evil unto itself," Fatehi said in a 2021 interview. "Where I part ways is in recognizing that crime is a symptom. It’s a symptom of structural racism, of systematic community disinvestment, of redlining, unequal school policy, the lack of jobs, lack of transportation, a lack of opportunities, intergenerational barriers to wealth building, the disinvestment in the treatment of the mentally ill."

Soros himself similarly argued in a 2022 essay that progressive prosecutors can improve public safety by using resources to address the root causes of crime rather than resorting to jailing criminals for long periods of time. Supporting his claim, he wrote that "black people in the U.S. are five times as likely to be sent to jail as white people," which is "an injustice that undermines our democracy."

The Soros family has other sources of cash available to fund its political goals ahead of 2026, including the Open Society Foundation, a 501(c)(4) advocacy group that brought in nearly $160 million in 2024, according to tax documents.

The Open Society Foundation, the Soros family’s philanthropy, did not respond to a request for comment when reached by Fox News Digital Monday.

Democrats Mortgage Headquarters for $15 Million to Bail Out of Their Financial Fiasco

The Democratic National Committee, cash-poor ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, has made the risky decision to post its headquarters as collateral in exchange for a $15 million loan, according to a NOTUS report.

This isn’t the first time that Democrats have used the building to secure cash, according to the report. This, however, is the largest loan that Democrats have ever taken during a midterm cycle. The move has caused concern among Democratic leadership that DNC Chair Ken Martin could be running the group into the ground.

“Ken gaslighting us about the DNC’s finances and not being transparent about the financial situation makes us doubt if he can oversee the DNC during the most important primary of our lifetime,” an anonymous DNC member told NOTUS.

The massive loan adds to the pile of debt the DNC has accumulated, as the organization was already more than $2 million in debt heading into the midterm cycle and has only $16 million in cash on hand. Republicans, however, are boasting record fundraising numbers across the board and maintain $128 million in cash through the Republican National Committee alone. Other GOP groups likewise maintain a massive cash advantage over their Democratic adversaries.

Those numbers are already bad news for Democrats, but pale in comparison to the sky-high cash balance reported by President Donald Trump’s PAC, which reportedly has $400 million in the bank as of mid-July.

Former MI6 agent, the slippery Christopher Steele, purveyor of the infamous “dossier,” is on-the-lam, whereabouts unknown. The charges against the bunch are Seditious Conspiracy (18 U.S. Code § 2384), Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice (18 U.S.C. §§ 1503, 1512, 1519), Conspiracy Against Rights / Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law (18 U.S.C. §§ 241, 242), Perjury (18 U.S.C. § 1621), Concealment (18 U.S.C. § 1001).

At 10:00 a.m., a “surprise” witness is ushered into the room. Gasps erupt from all angles. The witness is immediately identified by his snow-white hair and beard. Everybody sees it is Julian Assange. He is a surprise witness for security reasons. He has been flown from Sydney to New Delhi to Frankfurt, and finally to Miami in a US government airplane, the lone passenger.

Recall: in June 2024, Assange reached a plea deal with the US DOJ: guilty on one count of conspiring to obtain and disclose classified US national defense information. He was sentenced to sixty-two months (time served), crediting the approximately five years he had already spent in Britain’s Belmarsh prison while fighting extradition — but not counting the six years and ten months he was holed-up before that in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. There was no additional jail time, supervision, or financial penalty.

Which brings us forward to the courtroom scene, February, 2027, Julian Assange in the witness chair. The young lead federal prosecutor (one of several) in the room, finishes his preliminary questions and asks Assange: “Are you willing to tell the court now, who exactly was your source for the DNC emails?” Assange has kept it secret for all these years. But he had been very badly abused by some of the very US government officials who are sitting at the two defendant’s tables, and he is rather sore about all the years he had to hide out in the Ecuadorean embassy in London before the Americans induced the British authorities to stuff him in Belmarsh prison for another five.

“Yes,” he says placidly. “It was a young man named Seth Rich. He copied it onto a thumb-drive directly from the DNC.”

And that is how all the bullshit about RussiaGate finally dissolves into a rancid cloud of sedition for the folks slumped in their seats on the defendants’ side of the courtroom.

Widdecombe, a former Conservative minister turned Reform UK spokeswoman, served as the MP for Maidstone in Kent for 23 years.

Widdecombe found fame after leaving Parliament as a contestant on the Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother reality television shows. She later joined the Brexit Party and became a spokeswoman for the anti-immigration Reform UK party.

She served in the House of Commons as an MP from 1987 to 2010 and was known for socially conservative views opposing ~~child sacrifice~~ abortion rights and expansion of LGBTQ rights.

She was also a supporter of Israel, belonging to the Conservative Friends of Israel group for many years and speaking at B’nai Brith events, according to a report in the Jewish Chronicle.

Additionally, Widdecombe wrote a novel set during the Holocaust; the story focused on the tension between a German officer’s patriotism and his opposition to the Nazi regime.

Dems raked in millions from employees at firms newly identified as 'Chinese military companies'

Democrats, among them some of the most recognizable names in politics, have accepted millions of dollars in campaign contributions from top employees at firms the Pentagon recently designated as "Chinese military companies" operating in the U.S.

The Department of War on June 8 designated Alibaba, Baidu and BYD as "Chinese military companies," meaning that the three firms, in the eyes of the U.S. government, are providing assistance to the People’s Liberation Army through its military-civil fusion strategy or other means. Senior employees at these companies, including executives, have donated roughly $2.6 million to Democratic political committees since 2020, a Fox News Digital review of campaign finance filings has found.

Notable individuals and organizations that received contributions from top staffers at these firms include Sen. Adam Schiff, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, former President Joe Biden, Gov. Gavin Newsom, former Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic National Committee.

Donors to Democratic committees from the trio of firms include executives, top-level lawyers, lobbyists and, to a much lesser extent, rank-and-file employees working in areas such as engineering or management. The staffers made some contributions to Republicans as well, though the overall sum was far lower than what Democrats received.

The review included direct contributions, earmarked contributions and donations to joint-fundraising committees reported in campaign finance filings. It did not identify corporate donations from Alibaba, Baidu or BYD to the federal committees.

"American politicians should no longer accept campaign cash from any Chinese companies. Politicians who have been taking campaign cash from companies like Baidu, Alibaba and BYD now realize they were supported by blacklisted Chinese Military Companies," Michael Lucci, CEO of the national security organization State Armor, told Fox News Digital. "The reason the Pentagon's list of sanctioned CCP companies keeps expanding is because the Chinese Communist Party imposes a 'civil-military fusion' mandate upon all Chinese companies, forcing them to assist in modernizing China's military with the goal of defeating America."

"They all end up working to support the PLA. They should all be cut off from U.S. politics," he added.

The Pentagon’s Chinese military company designation via its 1260H list does not function as a traditional sanction, as Americans can continue to do business with the company.

Biden-linked committees and joint fundraising vehicles were by far the biggest beneficiaries of the funds, taking in roughly $850,000 from employees at the trio of firms between 2020 and 2024. The DNC, meanwhile, had a haul of around $500,000 while Harris-linked committees brought in roughly $140,000.

The chief oversight body responsible for monitoring American foreign assistance has unearthed evidence that an additional 101 staffers at the embattled United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) participated in the Oct. 7 terror attacks and are affiliated with Hamas’s military wing, according to an investigatory report transmitted to the State Department and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The U.S. Agency for International Development inspector general’s office, a law enforcement entity separate from the largely defunct USAID, determined on Friday that scores of "UNRWA school principals, teachers, security personnel, attendants, psychosocial counselors, and medical professionals" were also members of Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades or other terror factions. The inspector general determined that all 101 current or former UNRWA employees should be added to a government-wide blacklist that will prevent them from participating in all American foreign aid projects for a period of 10 years.

will address the Oxford Union on Saturday by livestream, after the UK banned them from entering the country.

The UK government did not explain its decision to ban the two commentators, except to say that “their presence in the UK may not be conducive to the public good.”

Arwa Elrayess, president of the Oxford Union, says: “This event will not be cancelled. The Union will ensure this discussion takes place. Free speech does not require a visa.”

“The Oxford Union was founded on one principle: that ideas are challenged through debate, not silenced by decree. We have never turned a speaker away because of their political beliefs, nor have we sought a permission slip from the state. We will not start now,” she says.

Uygur, host of “The Young Turks” news show on YouTube, frequently accuses Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip and commandeering US policy. The show — which has come to place Israel at the center of much of its coverage since 2023 — regularly shares debunked claims about Israeli attacks, and its hosts have amplified conspiracy theories linking the Jewish state to events including 9/11.

Piker, a streamer who is also Uygur’s nephew, is a self-identified socialist who has endorsed terror groups and regularly implies support for political violence. He has described Hamas as “a thousand times better than Israel.”

Elrayess, for her part, has also come under scrutiny for leaked messages in which she said of Hamas, “Any resistance group will inevitably be deemed a ‘terrorist’ organization by the West until they achieve their liberation (by which time, they’ll be lauded as heroes, as history has repeatedly proven).”

The Oxford student, a Palestinian who spent part of her childhood in Gaza and has lost family members in the recent war, has rejected calls to step down in the wake of the leaks.

She’s noted that the messages were sent in private, and that, in her role at the Oxford Union, she has actively facilitated the speech of people she disagrees with, such as anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson and a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces.
