‘Shady trial lawyer pipeline' funneling millions to Democrats according to report |
2025-04-03 |
[FoxNews] In 2024 alone, the firms collectively donated $4M to political campaigns, 99% of which were for Democrat candidates or Democrat-allied committees One of the country’s leading consumer protection firms released a report today exposing a "shady lawyer pipeline" of politicians handing out lucrative public contracts to trial lawyers, who in turn contribute millions of dollars to liberal political campaigns, including $1.4 million to the Harris-Walz campaign in 2024. The report, released by Alliance for Consumers (AFC), highlights the deep Democratic ties of eight major consumer protection law firms — Morgan & Morgan, Lieff Cabraser, Motley Rice, Baron & Budd, Grant & Eisenhofer, Berger Montague, Cohen Milstein and Simmons Hanly — which it dubs the "Shady Eight." According to AFC, these firms hold profitable public contracts across the country and contributed around $25 million in political donations from 2017 through 2024. In 2024 alone, the firms collectively donated $4 million to political campaigns, 99% of which were for Democrat candidates or Democrat-allied committees. During the 2024 presidential election, the firms contributed $1.4 million to former Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign. The shady eight also prioritized midterm Senate races, the report found, with Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., and former Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio; Bob Casey, D–Pa.; and Jon Tester, D–Mont., receiving the largest contributions next to Harris. Five of the firms — Lieff Cabraser, Motley Rice, Grant & Eisenhofer, Simmons Hanly and Baron & Budd — showed a 100% commitment to Democrats and their allies, generating more than $2.5 million in federal donations in 2024. "The consumer should never be on the losing side of a left-wing political money game like what is on display in the Shady Trial Lawyer Pipeline," AFC says in its report. "This partisan political giving is supported by money from public contracts signed by politicians and public officials; money that belongs to the taxpayers and consumers." AFC said "the ‘Shady Eight’ are stark examples — although far from the only ones — of how the Shady Trial Lawyer Pipeline works, with politicians feeding sweetheart contracts to trial lawyers who give 99% of their political donations to liberals and will happily turn around and pump millions of dollars into left-leaning candidates, committees, and allied organizations." |

Scott Presler to PA Dems Who Tried to Steal the Election: We're Coming for You; GOP Senate Majority Reaches 53
2024-11-23 | |
Check out his speech. [Townhall] Incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) finally conceded last night. It took two weeks longer than it should have, but Mr. Casey finally threw in the towel. Republican Dave McCormick is now officially Senator-elect McCormick. There were shenanigans where local Democrats![]() white people, white supremacy, whiteanything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nastyto the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... openly defied election law, leading to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court shutting down their scheme to count illegal ballots. It was all captured on video with Bucks County’s Democratic commissioners. President-elect Donald J. Trump won this crucial county for the first time since Bush 41. Mr. McCormick didn’t win but did well enough to squeak past Casey, who only won here by a 49/48 margin. Activist Scott Presler did the Lord’s work for months, moving to the Keystone State before the 2024 cycle and engaging in voter registration drives that tipped the balance—the Democratic voter advantage in Pennsylvania has been chipped away by the hundreds of thousands. Presler was instrumental in ensuring that people who were early voting in Bucks could get their votes counted. There was a minor controversy when voters got turned away early, leading to a Republican lawsuit. A judge sided with the Trump camp and extended the early voting period. Presler didn’t forget what Bucks County Democrats tried to pull off here, which was stealing an election. The activist warned that he plans to ensure they update their resumes in their next election. He gave them a chance to resign to avoid such a challenge.

Pennsylvania Supreme Court Tells Democrats to Stop the Steal |
2024-11-19 |
[PJMedia] Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) is still refusing to concede defeat after losing to Republican Dave McCormick. Despite the News Agency that Dare Not be Named, DecisionDeskHQ, and other outlets calling the race for McCormick, Team Casey is actively trying to overturn the result. Democrats ![]() white people, white supremacy, whiteanything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nastyto the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... aren't even trying to hide their willingness to break the law to alter election results. Just last week, in Bucks County, the county commissioners voted 2-1 to ignore the advice of their legal counsel and defy a ruling from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on how ballots should be counted. Democrat commissioners Robert Harvie Jr. and Diane Marseglia approved counting 124 improperly signed ballots, fully aware that their actions were illegal. This was no accident — it was a deliberate act of defiance. "I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country, and people violate laws anytime they want," Marseglia said. "So for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention to it." While they've managed to count a few illegal votes here and there, marginally chipping away at McCormick's lead, Casey remains without a path to victory. Now, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has stepped in, siding with the McCormick campaign to stop rogue counties from counting illegal ballots in an attempt to overturn the results of the election. "The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Monday ruled that undated or misdated mail-in and absentee ballots 'shall not be counted' by any of the state’s boards of elections — including in the handful of counties where Democratic officials already voted to defy the high court’s previous rulings on the matter in the middle of a high-stakes U.S. Senate race that’s headed to a recount," reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "State and national Republican leaders have pledged to fight what they describe as a brazen betrayal of public trust by Pennsylvania Democratic election officials as the heated race between Sen.-elect David McCormick and incumbent Sen. Bob Casey plays out in court." Democrats, including Mr. Casey’s campaign attorneys, say the defiance is grounded in protecting voters’ rights according to the state constitution. Republicans blast it as electioneering on Mr. Casey’s behalf, and pledged Monday to pursue legal action against local officials who’ve openly defied the state’s highest court. The McCormick campaign, Republican National Committee and state GOP have asked the state Supreme Court to block the counties from counting the deficient ballots. The Supreme Court answered late Monday afternoon in a 4-3 decision, saying the counties in question "shall comply with the prior rulings of this court in which we have clarified that mail-in and absentee ballots that fail to comply with the [dating requirements] SHALL NOT BE COUNTED" for the purposes of the 2024 election. "Elections need rules and they must be applied consistently," Pennsylvania GOP Chair Lawrence Tabas told news hounds on Monday. The court also reaffirmed on Nov. 1 that no changes to election laws can be made during the election. Justice P. Kevin Brobson criticized local election officials for overstepping their authority by ignoring the Election Code, stressing that they must enforce, not reinterpret, the laws. Tabas urged Gov. Josh Shapiro to push counties like Bucks, Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Centre to follow the law and disqualify undated ballots, as most counties have already done. This is a huge victory for Senator-elect McCormick. It's time for Casey to concede. Pennsylvania Democrats openly admit to counting illegal ballots in McCormick-Casey race
2024-11-16 | |
[FoxNews] Ongoing disputes in the Senate race between declared winner Dave McCormick (R) and incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D) concern whether disqualified ballots should be counted As the contested Pennsylvania Senate race barrels towards a $1 million recount, Democratic officials in a few blue counties are openly admitting to counting disqualified ballots in defiance of state law and court orders. The Associated Press has called the race for Republican Sen.-elect Dave McCormick, who currently holds a 26,000 vote lead over incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey. But Casey has refused to concede and insisted that every vote be counted. The close margin – within one percentage point – triggered an automatic recount under Pennsylvania law. Yet the critical question is which votes should be counted? The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled before the election that mail ballots lacking formally required signatures or dates should not be included in official results. However, Democratic officials in Philadelphia and surrounding Bucks, Centre and Montgomery counties are ignoring that court order. "I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country," Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia, a Democrat, said Thursday as she and other Democrats voted to reject a GOP-led challenge to ballots that should be disqualified. "People violate laws anytime they want. So, for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention. There’s nothing more important than counting votes." Officials estimate there are fewer than 80,000 provisional ballots left to be counted across the Keystone State, less than two percent of the vote, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. While the chance that Casey could make up his deficit is small, his attorneys and McCormick's have repeatedly clashed at county commissioner meetings this week as local officials have debated over whether to count small handfuls of ballots.
In Montgomery County, for example, officials deliberated for 30 minutes over whether about 180 provisional ballots without secrecy envelopes should be counted. The Inquirer reported that several of these votes came from the same precincts, suggesting an error made by poll workers. Democratic board chair Neil Makhija voted to accept the ballots so that voters would not be disenfranchised. But other members of the board, including one Democrat and a Republican, voted to reject the ballots on the advice of county attorneys who determined the law clearly states they should not be counted. "We’re talking about constitutional rights and I cannot take an action to throw out someone’s ballot that is validly cast, otherwise, over an issue that we know ... is immaterial," Makhija said during Thursday's meeting. The board ultimately voted to count a total of 501 contested ballots. Similar disputes over hundreds of votes have played out in Bucks, Chester and Delaware Counties. Separately, there is ongoing litigation over undated mail ballots or those submitted with an incorrect date on the outer envelope. Several local Democratic officials have said an incorrect date should not be grounds to disqualify a person's vote. Lower courts have agreed with that reasoning, but Pennsylvania's high court has determined the law requires correct dates for mail ballots to be counted. The McCormick campaign and Republican National Committee have asked the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to reaffirm its Nov. 1 decision to stop Democrats from including undated mail ballots in their final tallies. The Casey campaign and the Pennsylvania Department of State have countered with legal motions arguing that the counties should be left alone and that the high court need not intervene as the challenges work their way through the appellate process. The open defiance of court precedent has prompted Republicans to cry foul. "Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: Democrats in Pennsylvania are brazenly trying to break the law by attempting to count illegal ballots. They are doing this because they want to steal a senate seat," Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley wrote on X. He said the RNC has filed four lawsuits contesting county decisions on undated ballots and vowed to "fight for as long as necessary" to ensure that McCormick's victory is upheld. "This is the exact kind of left-wing election interference that undermines voter confidence," Whatley said. Democrats have defended their actions and pointed out that McCormick himself had argued to count contested ballots when he trailed celebrity heart surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz in the 2022 Republican primary for U.S. Senate. In that case, McCormick’s lawyer told a state judge that the object of Pennsylvania’s election law is to let people vote, "not to play games of ‘gotcha’ with them." There are potentially thousands of mail-in ballots with wrong or missing dates on the return envelope across the state, though most counties have not moved to count them. A state-mandated recount must be finished by noon on Nov. 26. Officials have said they do not expect the process to change the outcome of the race by more than a few hundred votes. Both McCormick and Casey were in Washington, D.C., this week. Casey participated in official Senate business and cast votes on the floor while McCormick attended new member orientation and met with other members of the new Republican majority to vote for conference leadership.

PA Republican Dave McCormick will attend Senate orientation Tuesday despite Schumer's attempt to block him |
2024-11-11 |
[PM] Payback to Schumer should be hard, prolonged, and painful Senator-elect Dave McCormick is coming to Washington on Monday to attend Senate orientation sessions. He’s daring Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to tell him that he can’t attend. Schumer has not invited McCormick to attend, claiming the results of the Pennsylvania Senate election are yet to be determined, even though McCormick has been declared the winner, according to Fox News. Sen. Bob Casey has refused to concede defeat. Schumer, who will lose his status as majority leader when the Senate convenes in January with a Republican majority, remains in denial over the results. "With over 100,000 ballots left to be counted in Pennsylvania, the race has not been decided. As is custom, we will invite the winner once the votes are counted." Several Republican senators demanded some sense of reality from Schumer on X. "@AP declared @DaveMcCormickPA winner of #PASen 3 days ago. Denying legit election results & blocking @DaveMcCormickPA from participating in Sen. orientation this week is outrageous & a disservice [to]PA & the country. Casey should concede. He has no path to overturn these results," wrote National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT). "Schumer and Senate Democrats are denying the election results in #PASen. Trying to block @DaveMcCormickPA from attending Senate orientation this week is an outrage. Casey must concede immediately or Senate Democrats face consequences," said Senate Republican conference Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY). The AP called the Pennsylvania Senate race on Nov. 7: 48 hours after Election Day. McCormick is over 30,000 votes ahead of his Democratic opponent. . |

Bob Casey 'Fakes Phone Call' to Avoid Questions on Funding Center Accused of Transing Children |
2024-06-14 |
[Breitbart] Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) allegedly used a fake phone call to avoid answering questions about hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal funding he secured for a Philadelphia LGBTQ center that reportedly “performs sex change surgeries on minors.” The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) shared a video on Wednesday morning of Casey ignoring questions about the funds he secured for the Mazzoni Center as he walked down the street and spoke into his phone. The NRSC wrote in the post that Casey, who is up for reelection against Republican businessman Dave McCormick, “fake[d] a phone call when asked why he gave $400k in federal funds to a controversial center that performs sex change surgeries on minors.” During the 43-second clip, Casey does not look at the camera once. While speaking into the phone, he can be heard saying, “Maybe we can reschedule that later?” The Daily Mail first reported on Saturday that Casey nabbed $400,000 in funding for the Mazzoni Center, citing a Facebook post from the group. In the post, the Mazzoni Center boasts that its leadership and Casey announced a $400,000 “congressional appropriation for medical equipment and facility upgrades, including a building generator to protect refrigerated pharmaceuticals and vaccines.” Per the Mail, “the center is known to provide puberty blockers and hormone therapy for patients, including kids.” “In addition to providing treatment at the center, the group also connects patients to surgeons who can perform sex-change procedures. In Pennsylvania, these surgeries on minors are legal,” the outlet’s Jon Michael Raasch added. The group has also reportedly been tied to multiple transgender youth events, including backing a “Pride Prom” for LGBTQ high-school-aged teens, per the Mail. What is more, the Mazzoni Center’s website touts its bi-monthly “Femme University,” which is “a workshop aimed at catering to the younger generation of trans or gender nonconforming femmes.” Those who participate in the workshop develop their “own definition of femme.” Related: Bob Casey 06/10/2024 [PA] Democrat Senator Bob Casey celebrates taxpayer dollars going to LGBT center that provides... [PA] Democrat Senator Bob Casey celebrates taxpayer dollars going to LGBT center that provides... |
2024-06-10 |
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]…children sex-change services and has hosted events on 'bigger d*** energy' The Mazzoni Center in Philadelphia provides gender reassignment treatment to minors and has sponsored multiple events for transgender youth - and Democrat Senator Bob Casey just secured them a massive allotment of cash. The senior senator from Pennsylvania secured $400,000 in taxpayer funds for the Mazzoni center in the fiscal year 2024 spending package. The nonprofit also hosts the annual Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, which has hosted panels on 'Bigger D*** Energy: Life After Masculinizing,' 'The Ins and Outs of Masturbation Sleeves,' and 'The Adolescent Pathway: Preparing Young People for Gender-Affirming Care.' 'Today, Senator Bob Casey announced with Mazzoni Center leadership a $400K congressional appropriation for building upgrades, including a building generator to protect refrigerated pharmaceuticals and vaccines,' the group posted on social media Thursday. The center is known to provide puberty blockers and hormone therapy for patients, including kids. It also provides testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI's), counseling and health education. In addition to providing treatment at the center, the group also connects patients to surgeons who can perform sex-change procedures. In Pennsylvania, these surgeries on minors are legal. The annual Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference hosted by the group has sparked controversy in the past and in 2017 canceled an events on de-transitioning. The 'Alternate ways of working with gender dysphoria' and 'Detransition: A panel discussion' were both canceled because, the group wrote at the time, 'when a topic becomes controversial, such as this one has turned on social media, there is a duty to make sure that the debate does not get out of control at the conference itself.' 'This was detracting from our overall mission of the conference, to provide an accessible and respectful environment that centers the experiences of the transgender and gender non-conforming/non-binary (GNC/NB) community,' the post continued. In March, Casey withdrew his request for a $1 million allocation for another Pennsylvania-based LGTB group - the William Way LGBT Community Center - over its controversial ties to kink and BDSM parties. 'Senator Casey has been a leader and ally in the fight to protect LGBTQ rights in the U.S. Senate and will continue to support the LGBTQ community in the Commonwealth,' a spokesperson for the Democrat said at the time following the request withdrawal. 'He believes that consenting adults have the right to do whatever they want in their free time, but these types of appropriations projects warrant the highest level of scrutiny on behalf of taxpayers.' Senator Casey withdrew his request for federal funding when new information about the third-party use of the facility emerged.' Police Groups Slam Biden Judicial Pick for Ties to Group That Celebrated Cop Killers as Freedom Fighters |
2024-03-03 |
[WashingtonFreeBeacon] Adeel Mangi is already under fire for work with an anti-Israel think tank. Biden judicial nominee Adeel Mangi already faces headwinds to his nomination over ties to an anti-Israel think tank that hosted holy warriors on the anniversary of 9/11. Now, he’s facing the ire of police organizations over his links to a group that hails six cop killers as "freedom fighters." Five police unions representing 280,000 officers have urged senators to oppose Mangi’s nomination for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals over his position on the advisory board of the Alliance of Families for Justice. "The fact that Mr. Mangi, as an Advisory Board member, aligns himself with an organization advocating for the release of convicted cop-killers is seriously disturbing," said the National Sheriffs’ Association, which represents more than 3,000 sheriffs across the country. Mangi’s affiliation with the Alliance of Families for Justice "raises concerns about a potential bias against victims and law enforcement," the sheriffs’ group said. At issue is the Alliance of Families for Justice’s support for and connection to convicted cop killers. Mangi joined the left-wing group in 2019 and is still listed as an advisory board member. In 2021, the Alliance of Families for Justice called for the parole of former black nationalists Sundiata Acoli, Mumia Abu Jamal, Mutulu Shakur, Russell Maroon Shoatz, Jamil al-Amin, and Kamau Sadiki—all serving life sentences for murdering coppers. The alliance refers to them as "elder freedom fighters" who were set up by the FBI, the Washington Free Beacon reported. Kathy Boudin, a member of the terrorist group Weather Underground, served on the Alliance’s board from its founding in 2016 until her death in 2022. Boudin, the mother of ousted the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... prosecutor Chesa Boudin, was convicted of murdering two New York coppers during an armored truck robbery with Black Liberation Army members in 1981. The Alliance of Families for Justice established a fellowship in her name last year. The Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, the police union that represented the two officers murdered during Boudin’s heist, said Mangi’s affiliation with the Alliance of Families for Justice shows "his lack of care for life and the rule of law." The opposition from police groups could put additional pressure on swing-state Democrats to vote against Mangi, who, if confirmed, will have jurisdiction over federal cases in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Republicans oppose him over his advisory board position with the Rutgers Law School’s Center on Security, Race and Rights, an anti-Israel think tank that hosted anti-Semites and a convicted terrorist at an event on the20th anniversary of 9/11. The conservative Judicial Crisis Network launched ad campaigns to call on Democratic Sens. Bob Casey (Pa.), Jon Tester (Mont.), and Sherrod I absolutely trust HillaryBrown ![]() (Ohio) to vote against Mangi over his position at Rutgers. The White House has accused Republicans of "Islamophobia ...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do... " for opposing Mangi, who would be the first Moslem to serve on a federal appeals court. Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee released letters from the police groups ahead of a confirmation vote for Mangi, for which a date has not been set. The National Association of Police Organizations, which represents 241,000 coppers, said Mangi had "made his choice" to associate with a group that "exalt[s] unrepentant killers who were convicted following legal trials in courts of law." The New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, which has 32,000 members, said Mangi’s "leadership and association with the Alliance of Families for Justice makes it clear he cannot be impartial in dealing with law enforcement officers." The 1,000-member State Troopers NCO Association of New Jersey said, "We strongly condemn any group who advocates in favor of those who have attacked and killed law enforcement officers." Mangi has not responded to several requests for comment about his role at the Alliance of Families for Justice. He was not asked about the group during his confirmation hearing. The Alliance of Families for Justice did not respond to a request for comment. Sen. Menendez's Dirty Money Taints Entire Democrat Party |
2023-09-29 |
It’s hard to understand why Democrats are only now willing to throw him under the bus, but they are. Maybe they’re tired of the distraction his scandals have caused. Regardless of the reason, one thing is sure: Democrats have not only been happy to turn a blind eye to Menendez’s corruption, but they’ve also been happy to take his money. FEC filings show that Menendez’s campaign committee has doled out lots of money to his fellow Democrats. According to an analysis by Breitbart News, roughly $230,000 went to his colleagues in the Senate during the 2022 cycle, including Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), who got $5,000 from Menendez. Fetterman is just one Democrat Senator who received political donations from Menendez’s PAC. Below are nine of the top Democrats who received money from Menendez’s campaign committee in the 2022 cycle, OpenSecrets reported: 1. Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) — Maggie for New Hampshire $10,000, 6 Donations 2.Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) — Kelly for Senate $10,000, 3 Donations 3. Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-IL) — Tammy for Wisconsin $10,000, 4 Donations 4. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) — Wyden for Senate $10,000, 2 Donations 5. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) — Gillibrand for Senate $10,000, 2 Donations 6. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) — Catherine Cortez Masto for Senate $10,000, 3 Donations 7. Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) — Alex Padilla for Senate $10,000, 2 Donations 8. Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) — Bennet for Colorado $7,500, 3 Donations 9. Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) — Warnock for Georgia $7,500, 2 Donations Menendez has also given quite a bit of money for the 2024 election cycle. "According to campaign finance disclosures, Menendez’s New Millennium PAC gave Senate Democrats large donations, including Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) $5,000, Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) $10,000, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) $10,000, and Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) $5,000." Menendez has also given money to various Democrat organizations, which in turn donate cash to Democrat candidates. |

Senate Dems support full investigation into Biden document scandal: 'Irresponsible and disturbing'; DOJ secrtly got Biden permission to do search; classified docs Biden took when U.S. Senator found in new search
2023-01-22 | |||
![]() "The reports about President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents are extremely irresponsible and disturbing. These allegations should be investigated fully," Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., told Fox News Digital on Friday.
"This news raises serious questions and the appointment of an unbiased special prosecutor to investigate the matter is the right step," Kaine said. Manchin and Kaine joined a noticeably small list of Democrats who have spoken out about the Biden document scandal, while most, especially those up for re-election in 2024, have been reluctant to address the situation. Rep. Katie Porter, D-Calif., who announced earlier this month that she would be seeking Sen. Dianne Feinstein's, D-Calif., Senate seat even though Feinstein has yet to announce her retirement, told Fox after a Tuesday town hall event that lawmakers "definitely" wanted "to get answers from the White House" concerning the documents. "Classified documents belong in classified settings, and I think you heard me say oversight is not a partisan thing. Good oversight means you're willing to hold any rule breaker to account," she added. "We should be asking for answers in a respectful way, and we should be expecting to get honest ones." Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., who announced she would not be running for re-election next year, acknowledged it was a bad look for Biden to be caught having classified information after condemning former President Donald Trump for a similar situation. Fox News Digital reached out to every Senate Democrat who has yet to make a statement on the Biden documents and whose term ends in 2024, but all except Manchin and Kaine didn't respond.
Report: DOJ Secretly Asked Biden to Search His Residence for Classified Docs DOJ seizes more classified docs from Biden's Wilmington home after 12-hour search [FoxNews] The Justice Department seized additional classified records from President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home after an FBI search on Friday, Fox News has learned. "On Jan. 20, 2023, the FBI executed a planned, consensual search of the President's residence in Wilmington, Delaware," Joseph D. Fitzpatrick, an assistant U.S. attorney to U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch, told Fox News Saturday. Lausch was the DOJ official running the investigation into Biden's improper retention of classified records ahead of the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Hur. Fox News has learned Lausch is still playing an integral role in the probe as Hur gets up to speed. The FBI search began Friday morning at 9:45 a.m. and concluded Friday night around 10:30 p.m. Biden's personal attorney Bob Bauer said Saturday evening the search covered "all working, living and storage spaces in the home." Bauer is married to lizard Maoist Anita Dunn, who recommended not disclosing the discovery of the documents
"DOJ had full access to the President’s home, including personally handwritten notes, files, papers, binders, memorabilia, to-do lists, schedules, and reminders going back decades," Bauer continued. "DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President," Bauer said. "DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years." Biden left the U.S. Senate in 2008 to serve as vice president to former President Barack Obama. The search comes a week after Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed U.S. Attorney Robert Hur as special counsel to investigate the president’s possible unauthorized removal and improper retention of classified documents and records discovered at the Penn Biden Center in Washington D.C., and in his private residence in Wilmington, Delaware. Classified records were found inside the Washington, D.C., offices of the Penn Biden Center think tank on Nov. 2, 2022, but only disclosed to the public last week. A second stash of classified documents was also found inside the garage of the president’s home in Wilmington. Last weekend, additional classified documents were found in the president’s home. The White House has repeatedly declined to comment on the contents of the classified records, as well as the levels of the classification, saying instead that the records "have been turned over to proper authorities and will be part of the ongoing investigation."
