2021-08-16 | |
[KhaamaPress] Head of High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah![]() in a video clip said that the former Afghan president Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... left Afghanistan. He said that he left the people of Afghanistan in mess and misery and he will be judged in futurity. Ashraf Ghani along with NSA Hamdullah Muhib and head of the administrative office of President Fazel Mahmood Fazli left Afghanistan for Tajikistan. Earlier, speaker of Afghan parliament Mir Rahman Rahmani, Younus Qanuni, Muhammad Muhaqeq, Karim Khalili, Ahmad Wali Masoud, and Ahmad Zia Masoud fled to Islamabad. The Taliban ...Arabic for students... in an official statement said that the fighters were directed to enter Kabul city so that they prevent potential looting and chaos in the city. The statement reads that, since Afghan forces have left outposts in Kabul city, there is a risk of plundering. Kabul is taken by the fighters at a time when the power is not transferred yet and a delegation is said to be leaving for Doha to complete the process. Two sources said that President Ashraf Ghani has left the country after the Taliban entered the city on Sunday. According to the sources, his close aides have also left the country along with him. Earlier in the day, acting defense minister Bismillah Mohammadi said that the president has handed the authority of solving the crisis in the country to political leaders. Mohammadi said that a delegation will travel to Doha on Monday for talks on the country’s situation. The delegation includes key political leaders, including Younus Qanooni, Ahmad Wali Massoud, Mohammad Mohaqiq among others. Sources close to the Taliban said that it has been agreed that Ghani will resign after a political agreement and hand the power to a transitional government. Afghans have said that they seek a political settlement and an end to the ongoing violence in the country.

Abdullah slams Gulbuddin Hekmayar for his remarks against Ahmad Shah Massoud |
2017-08-22 |
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Chief Executive of the Government of National Unity Abdullah Abdullah ... the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against Karzai. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun... slammed the leader of Hezb-e-Islami ![]() ... who used to be known in intelligence circles as The Most Evil Man in the Worldbut who now seems merely run-of-the-mill evil. He and his party are heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... for his remarks against the Jihadi leaders, specifically Ahmad Shah Massoud who has been given the title of national hero. Hekmatyar spent the war against the Soviets periodically trying to sell out Massoud. Speaking during a meeting of the cabinet of ministers, Abdullah said the remarks by Hekmatyar regarding Jihadi leaders have roots in his ego and hatred towards the others. Massoud wasn't the only one he sold out, naturally. Abdulalh further added that such remarks will not affect the personality of the prominent Jihadi leaders and their fame, like Ahmad Shah Massoud and Burhanuddin Rabbani ![]() ... the gentlemanly murdered legitimate president of Afghanistan... , insisting that they were the true defenders of the country. According to reports, Hekmatyar had accused Massoud of having links with Pakistain’s ISI and handing over of Kabul to Taliban ...Arabic for students... during the civil war. Hekmatyar was owned by the ISI and the Pak Jamaat-e-Islami. His forces rocketed Kabul mercilessly during the "Dog Eat Dog," where he tried to grab exclusive power for himself. He so weakened the country that the Talibs were able to take over. Hekmatyar also accused the former defense minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi of having role in the massive corruption and questioned the appointment of around 600 army generals only from the northern Panjshir province. I don't know about the number of generals from Pandjir Valley, but the area was the center of anti-Soviet resistance. Hek was the Pashtun face of the Muj. This comes as the chief executive of Jamaat-e-Islami and governor of Balkh province had earlier slammed Hekmatyar for his remarks against Ahmad Shah Massoud and Panjshir, and accused him of sparking tensions and divisions among the people based on geographical locations, skin color, and the languages they speak. He said the leader of Hezb-e-Islami is strictly following a mission hatched by the foreigners to spark tensions among the people. |

MoD: Enemy Plotted Bloodiest Attacks in the Past Five Months |
2014-09-12 |
[Tolo News] Speaking at the graduation ceremony of 2,000 Afghan National Security (ANSF) soldiers, the Minister of Defense, Bismillah Khan Mohammadi, discussed the increasing enemy attacks and urged the presidential candidates to reach a political agreement. Mohammadi asserted that murderous Moslem attacks have dramatically increased in the past five months. "They [the murderous Moslems] even wanted to take over parts of our administration and provinces," he stressed. "We want the election deadlock to end soon. We ask the candidates to put an end to the election crisis. , and want both candidates to end the election crisis as soon as possible, and reach a political agreement. Meanwhile, ...back at the mall, Clarissa spent the day shopping for new underwear. Tonight was going to be a special occasion... the Afghan National Army (ANA) will protect the nation." Military analysts, too, have emphasized that further prolongation of the election process will negatively impact the ANSF training process. "With the prolongation of the election process, many projects have been put on hold. The prolongation has affected the morale and the structure of the ANSF," military analyst, Jawed Kohistani, said. The newly graduated soldiers will soon be deployed to insecure areas of the country. The ANSF were able to maintain security during the first and second rounds of the elections; but they are now facing severe threats as bully boyz use the instability from the dragging election process to accelerate their activities. |

Pakistan-Taliban Clash Spills into Afghanistan |
2014-06-01 |
[VOA News] Pakistain's military festivities with Talibs have spilled over its northwest border into neighboring Afghanistan. The cross-border skirmish has left civilians, forces of Evil and military forces dead across the rugged frontier dividing the two countries. Pak military sources say its forces repulsed a major bully boy attack Saturday morning, killing 16 hard boyz in the fighting. One soldier also died and two others were maimed. The sources said between 150 and 200 Talibs from Afghanistan's Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... swarmed over the border in a pre-dawn strike and attacked a group of Pak military border posts at Nao Top, in Pakistain's northwest Bajur tribal district. Bajur is directly across from Afghanistan's Kunar province. The Pak military sources said in the fierce fighting that followed, helicopter gunships were sent in. But Shuja ul-Mulk Jalala, governor of Afghanistan's Kunar province, said the gunships crossed into Afghan territory. He said four non-combatants were killed in the firing. He says, the bombardment began this morning around 7:45 in the Rega area of Dangam district in Kunar province, and continued until 10:30 am. He says four non-combatants were killed and 10 others were maimed in the bombing. Pakistain did not comment on whether its forces had crossed the border. Pak Talibs often take refuge inside Afghanistan. Cross border bully boy attacks have led to significant tension between the neighboring countries, and emotions were high in Kabul's parliament Saturday. Afghan Defense Minister General Bismillah Khan Mohammadi told his country's politicians that the army was ready to retaliate, but would not make a move without being ordered by Kabul's civilian government. Mohammadi said President Hamid Maybe I'll join the TalibanKarzai ... He was installed as the dominant political figure after the removal of the Taliban regime in late 2001 in a vain attempt to put a Pashtunface on the successor state to the Taliban. After the 2004 presidential election, he was declared president regardless of what the actual vote count was. He won a second, even more dubious, five-year-term after the 2009 presidential election. His grip on reality has been slipping steadily since around 2007, probably from heavy drug use... had called him to ask for details on the helicopter strikes. For KP's new governor, talks with Pakistani Taliban 'top priority' |
2013-02-17 |
![]() The media's focus on him is not without reason -- Khan is the first civilian from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) to be appointed governor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central... in Pakistain's restive northwest. Listing peace as his top priority, Khan is in favour of talks with the Taliban even if they are unwilling to lay down their arms, citing tribal customs. "I believe the grinding of the peace processor is heading in a successful direction. I would be willing to take on any task to hold peace talks with the cut-thoats," he said. "Peace is our priority and we shall go for it." At the age of 42, Khan, who hails from an influential family of Nawagai in Bajaur Agency, aka Turban Central ![]() , is the youngest among his predecessors to have governed the region, hit badly by militancy and unrest. The engineer, with a political background, is well accustomed to politics in Pakistain's tribal areas. A graduate of the University of Engineering and Technology in Taxila, Khan first contested and lost the NA-43 Bajaur Agency seat in the 2002 elections. However, if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning... he won the same seat in the 2008 elections as an independent, and was made Federal Minister for Sports. He was later nominated Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions. His family's political legacy is also impressive: his father, Bismillah Khan, had twice won the NA seat from Bajaur Agency, while his elder brother, Hidayatullah Khan, is a senator. Now, with dialogue between the government and the Taliban becoming a greater possibility, the governor's appointment is considered the key to success. Unconditional talks The governor believes that the traditional tribal jirga, which equally allows for negotiations with or without guns, is the best way to resolve the longstanding conflict between Islamic fascisti and the Pak government and military. "If we go by tribal bylaws of resolving conflict, we should be holding peace talks whether one does or does not lay down arms. There is no bar on it," he said. "I believe first we have to kick start the process. Then we shall discuss the conditions, as in the tribal way to resolving disputes, you may not start with pre-conditions or guarantees," he explains. "When you start talking, then you enter the next phase of guarantees." |

Pakistan's Offer to Train Afghan Forces Draws Critics |
2013-02-04 |
![]() Bismillah Khan Mohammadi reportedly made the comments following his meetings with Pakistain defence officials in Islamabad in the past week. However, a hangover is the wrath of grapes... some experts do not believe Islamabad is looking to train security personnel for Afghanistan but rather that it is a new strategy aimed at turning the recruits to work for Pak aims. "Pakistain is professional in training terrorists, not in training military forces, and it is looking for its own interests in Afghanistan. This time it is trying a new strategy," Afghan military analyst Miagol Waseeq told TOLOnews. Mohammadi's visit to Pakistain was said by the Ministry of Defence to have increased optimism around negotiations with Islamabad on the fight against insurgency in the region and border security. |

Karzai accuses foreign countries of 'plotting' against Afghan peace |
2013-01-30 |
![]() Without pointing a finger at any particular country, Karzai said he had told the US government during a recent visit to Washington that "no foreign party must try to take the Afghan peace process in its hand". All negotiations with Taliban insurgents should take place through the government-appointed High Peace Council, but unnamed "foreigners" had tried to sidestep the council, Karzai said. Karzai made the comments in a long diversion during a speech to a water management conference in Kabul, but it was unclear why he raised the issue or who exactly he was targeting. A senior official told AFP that Karzai was referring "to foreign and internal elements who are trying to tell the Taliban to hold talks with other groups and encouraging political groups to hold talks with the Taliban". The plan was to weaken the Afghan government, he said, adding that the "foreign elements" were from both Western and regional countries. Afghan Defence Minister Bismillah Khan Muhammadi is on a five-day visit to neighbouring Pakistan, where he has met Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani. Afghan-Pakistani relations are understood to have improved recently despite years of suspicion and mutual accusations of Taliban violence plaguing both countries. "Any effort to conduct peace talks individually is not an effort for peace but it's a plot by the foreigners, aimed at weakening Afghanistan," Karzai said. |
