At least five terrorists killed, two apprehended in KP IBOs

[GEO.TV] Security forces killed at least five turbans in three separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

Two others were apprehended during the operations.

In a statement, the military's media wing said that an IBO in Bajaur district resulted in three turbans being killed, including a high-value target (HVT), Fareed Ullah.

Another IBO was conducted in the Dossali area of North Wazoo

The security forces' action comes days after as many as 71 bad boyz were potted near the Pakistain-Afghan border in a series of successful operations from April 25 to April 27.

The anti-terror operations come against the backdrop of increased terrorist attacks in the country, which surged by 42% in January, according to data released by the Pakistain Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).

Pakistain has time again urged Afghanistan to prevent its soil from being used by turbans to carry out attacks against Pakistain.

Suspect confesses to brutal rape, murder of 4-year-old girl in Bajaur

[GEO.TV] Police on Thursday arrested a 20-year-old suspect in connection with the brutal rape and murder of a four-year-old girl in Bajaur's Mamond tehsil with the suspect, who is a close relative of the victim, reportedly confessing to the crime.

Addressing a presser at his office, District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq revealed that the suspect lured the child with the promise of samosas, sexually assaulted her, and then strangled her to death.

The DPO was flanked by the Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Naveed Iqbal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hunar Khan, and Station House Officer (SHO) Ehsanullah.

''To conceal the crime, the suspect also tried to bludgeon her body with stones, attempting to deface it beyond recognition,'' the police official told news hounds.

DPO Rafiq said that the arrest was made within 12 hours of the incident — thanks to the cooperation of local residents.

''The suspect admitted to perpetrating the heinous crime during interrogation," the police official said, adding that explicit content was also found on his mobile phone, while forensic evidence had been sent for further analysis.

The tragic incident outraged the community, with locals grieving and demanding justice for the brutal killing of the young minor amid police assurances. The police further said that the investigation was ongoing, and authorities were committed to ensuring that the perpetrator faced the full force of the law.

The arrest has sent shockwaves through the local community, with authorities vowing to ensure justice for the victim and her family. This is not the first time Bajaur police have acted swiftly in such cases. Last year, they arrested the murderer of a seven-year-old boy in Khar within 24 hours.

The Express Tribune newspaper reported on Monday, February 17 that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police issued a security advisory to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, urging him to enhance his security measures and limit his movements.

According to the report, "Sources informed the police that the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) intend to target Maulana Fazlur Rehman due to his involvement in religious and political activities."

Pak media, citing security sources, reported that the Taliban has assigned the task of assassinating this political and religious figure to "armed hitmen," who are planning to carry out the attack covertly.

In the police security advisory to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, it is stated that "In light of the recent terrorist incidents targeting politicians in the Bajaur tribal region, and the threats directed towards you, it is advised that you increase your security at your residence and limit your movements."

Ismail Ghori, the front man for Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam, also responded to this warning, stating that the party’s security guard is capable of protecting Maulana Fazlur Rehman and urging the police to ensure security instead of creating fear.

It is noteworthy that this religious leader was also targeted in an liquidation attempt last year, from which he narrowly escaped.

Pakistain (TTP) has announced a five-day ceasefire in honor of the Pashtun tribal Jirga, which will take place in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, October 11. The TTP recently expressed its support for the Jirga, showing solidarity with the event.

the group declared a temporary halt in its attacks on Pak security forces during the Jirga period out of respect for the tribal gathering.

The Pak government, however, opposed the Jirga and, in recent weeks, launched security operations against the event’s organizers in the Khyber Valley. Dozens of members from the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) were arrested as a result of these operations.

The TTP’s support for the Pashtun tribal Jirga comes as the Pak federal government recently banned the PTM, placing it on a list of prohibited organizations, which has sparked widespread opposition.

Many in Pakistain, including former Senator Afrasiab Khattak, condemned the government’s decision, labelling it a "colonial" move. Khattak argued that this decision would only strengthen the Pashtuns’ resolve in their fight for justice.

Islamic Emirate Announces Arrests of ISIS-K Members

[ToloNews] Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, announced the arrests of perpetrators behind the recent attacks in Kabul and Bamyan.

Mujahid, in a statement, said that these attacks were carried out by individuals affiliated with the ISIS-Khorasan branch, and they had received training in Mastung, Balochistan.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate said: "The special units and Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate have arrested important members of the insurgent group who had attacked the employees of the Directorate of Supervision and Prosecution of Decrees and Orders, and were also involved in several other attacks in Kabul and the attack on foreign tourists in Bamyan province."

On May 17th, an armed attack targeted civilians and foreign nationals in Bamyan, resulting in the death of six people, including three Spanish citizens and three civilians, and injuring seven others, including three locals and four foreign nationals.

Furthermore, on September 2nd, a suicide bomber attacked the employees of the Directorate of Supervision and Prosecution of Decrees and Orders, killing six people and injuring thirteen others.

Zabihullah Mujahid also added that from the hideout of the Kabul attack planner, including both light and heavy military equipment, a Tajikistani national was arrested, who intended to carry out a suicide attack.

Mujahid stressed that after conducting these operations, the leaders and remaining members of the ISIS-Khorasan branch, with the assistance of some intelligence agencies, have been transferred to Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

"It is evident that 95 percent of the attacks that take place in Afghanistan are planned in Pakistan, and those crimes are then carried out in Afghanistan," said Aziz Stanekzai, a military analyst.

"It is the responsibility of neighboring countries not to allow terrorist groups to destabilize both Afghanistan and other trans-regional countries. In this regard, there needs to be an international consensus, especially in the fight against terrorism," said Zalmai Afghan Yar, another military analyst.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate further mentioned that ISIS, using new centers in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, conducts attacks in Afghanistan and other countries, targeting religious, political, and clerical figures.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated in a press release that, during a series of operations in Kabul and Nangarhar, those responsible for attacks on Afghanistan judiciary employees and foreign tourists in Bamiyan were apprehended.

Mujahid further explained that investigations revealed that the attackers targeting employees of the “Prosecution and Monitoring of Orders” directorate had entered Afghanistan from a training camp of ISIS-Khorasan in Mastung, Balochistan.

He added that in separate operations in Kabul and Faryab, two ISIS members were killed, and several others were arrested.

Three policemen injured in Bajaur blast

[GEO.TV] At least three police officials got maimed in a blast on Saturday after their vehicle hit a bomb planted along the roadside in tehsil Khar of Bajaur district.

The deputy superintendent of police (DSP) said other officials, including the station house officer (SHO), escaped unhurt in the blast incident.

A hunt for the suspects had been launched in the Bhai Cheena area, the DSP added.

Police said the maimed were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

The attack comes two days after a kaboom at a cop shoppe on Thursday night claimed the lives of two people, while several others remained injured in Swabi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi Haroon Rasheed had told news hounds that the blast occurred in the cop shoppe's warehouse room on the first floor, where huge quantity of kaboom recovered from the Death Eaters from time to time was stored.

The two most vulnerable provinces saw a sharp rise in deadly attacks last couple of months, according to data from the Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS).

The digital database of security incidents managed by the Islamabad-based think-tank suggested an alarming situation as the number of attacks jumped from 38 in July to 59 in August.

These incidents included 29 attacks in KP, 28 in Balochistan, and two in Punjab. Meanwhile,

Three soldiers martyred in gun battle with terrorists along Pak-Afghan border

[GEOTV] Three soldiers embraced martyrdom in a shootout with ~~bandidos~~ turbans who were trying to infiltrate Pakistain via Afghanistan border near Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's (KP) district Bajaur, the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR) said on Monday.

A statement issued by the military's media wing said that the security forces noticed the movement of a group of ~~bandidos~~ turbans trying to breach the Pak-Afghan border on the night between August 18 and 19.

"Own troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. Resultantly, five khwarij of Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell, while four khwarij got injured," the ISPR said.

It said that the Pak soldiers fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom.

The soldiers, who embraced martyrdom were identified as Sepoy Waqar Khan, 25, Lance Naik Umer Hayat, 35, and Naik Inayat Khan, 36.

The ISPR stated that Pakistain has been consistently asking the interim government in Afghanistan to ensure effective border management on their side of the border.

"Interim Afghan government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistain," it said, adding that the security forces of Pakistain remain committed to secure its borders and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Pakistain, Abdul Mannan alias Hakeemullah, was killed in Afghanistan's northeastern province Kunar, sources told Geo News on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the terrorist — killed in district Asadabad in Afghanistan — was a member of TTP's Malakand Shura and was involved in murder, landmine blasts in Bajaur, firing at security checkposts and extortion.

He was the right hand of TTP leader Azmatullah Mehsud, as per the sources, and played a key role in shaping terrorist operations in Bajaur.

The sources added that the terrorist had joined the TTP in 2007 and took part in several actions against security forces and innocent civilians, said sources.

Mannan's brother, Tariq alias Asad, is also related to the outlawed TTP, according to the sources.

It should be noted that TTP is the leading terrorist organization in Pakistain. Meanwhile,

Authorities revealed that among those captured include the notorious and most wanted commander of the TTP Khawarij’s Shura.

According to the preliminary investigation by the agencies, the arrested murderous Moslems have been involved in several activities against Pakistain, alongside having linkages with domestic and international terrorists.

The CTD expected that crucial information would be obtained about the secret activities of such networks within the country, as law enforcers continue to investigate the arrested people.

Terrorists involved in attacks on Customs officials killed in DI Khan operation

The dead terrorists, according to the statement, were also involved in extortion and attacks on security forces as well as murder.

The ~~bandidos~~ turbans were present in the district with plans to cause sabotage, it added.

"The escape routes of the ~~bandidos~~ turbans were blocked," the CTD said, adding that there is a fear of the presence of controllers of ~~bandidos~~ turbans in the local population.

"Strict action is also being taken against the controllers," the agency maintained.

Last weekend, two officials of Customs were bumped off in an attack near York Toll Plaza in DI Khan, while four others sustained injuries in the gun attack.

This attack came just days after a previous one on April 18, during which six people, including five customs officials, were killed in a firing incident on the Sago Road in Daraban tehsil of the district.

Two Customs officials gunned down in another DI Khan attack

According to the law enforcement officials, four others sustained injuries in the gun attack and have been shifted to the DHQ Hospital.

The police said that the unidentified armed assailants escaped the site of the incident after opening fire.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, reiterating that such cowardly acts could not shake the resolve of the government and the fight against terrorism would continue till their complete elimination.

The prime minister prayed for the departed souls and for the bereaved families to bear the losses with fortitude, PM Office Media Wing said in a blurb.

He said that looking after the bereaved families of the officials was now a responsibility of the government and directed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman to prepare shuhada package for the bereaved families.

This is the second time that Customs officials came under attack in DI Khan in the same week. On April 18, six people, including five Customs officials, were killed in a firing incident in the KP district.

The law enforcers said the person or persons unknown targeted the Customs officials on the Sago Road in Daraban tehsil of the district.

The armed attackers, who hid in bushes, attacked the Customs’ vehicle and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace unchallenged on cycle of violences.

Due to the attack, the driver of the Customs vehicle lost control and collided with another vehicle, resulting in the death of the citizen.

Security forces gun down three terrorists in KP shootout

[GEO.TV] Three gunnies were bumped off and four others injured during an exchange of fire with Pak security forces, who conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Karak district, the military's media wing said.

In a brief statement released on Saturday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the security forces conducted the "IBO on the reported presence of terrorists".

It said that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against law enforcement agencies and civilians.

"Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area," the ISPR stated.

Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.

'High-value target': Daesh commander eliminated in Khyber IBO, says ISPR

[GEO.TV] Security forces eliminated a "high-value target" Surat Gul aka Saif Ullah of ISIS in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Khyber district on Sunday.

On the reported presence of a high-profile terrorist, security forces swung into action immediately and carried out a raid in the tribal district, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

An intense fire exchange occurred during the conduct of the operation in which the ’ring leader’ of the outlawed terrorist outfit was killed by the security forces.

"Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorist commander, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities including murder of innocent civilians as well as extortion and was highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies."

"Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area. Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism," the military’s media wing added.

Earlier in the month, two ~~bandidos~~ bully boyz including a ring leader in KP’s North Wazoo district were killed by the security forces on the night of February 5 and 6.

The ring leader Ayubullah, also known as Mansoor, alongside another, was bumped off, as the forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on the reported presence of terrorists, a military statement read.
