India-Pakistan War: DGMO Says India Killed Over 40 Pakistan Army Personnel In Shelling Along LoC
2025-05-12 | |
[OneIndia] In a press briefing on India-Pakistain ceasefire, Lieutenant Gen Rajiv Ghai, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), disclosed that it killed around 35 to 40 Pak soldiers between May 7 and 10. He added that India lost five soldiers in Operation Sindoor. Lieutenant Ghai highlighted that Operation Sindoor commenced on the nights of March 7 and 8. The operation caught Pakistain off guard and resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists. Among those neutralised were high-profile targets such as Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, and Mudassir Ahmed. These individuals were linked to significant terror incidents like the IC-814 hijacking and the Pulwama attack. OPERATION SINDOOR'S IMPACT The operation's success was underscored by its ability to thwart repeated aerial attacks on airfields and dumps. Lieutenant Ghai mentioned that these assaults were effectively countered. The Pak Army suffered casualties due to artillery and small arms fire along the Line of Control during this time frame. Lieutenant Ghai emphasised that Operation Sindoor was a strategic move that significantly impacted terrorist activities. The operation not only targeted gunnies but also disrupted their operations, thereby enhancing security in the region. CASUALTIES ON BOTH SIDES The Indian Army's actions led to substantial losses for Pakistain, with an estimated 35 to 40 soldiers killed. However, if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning... India also faced losses, with five soldiers losing their lives during the operation. This highlights the intense nature of the conflict along the Line of Control. The successful execution of Operation Sindoor demonstrates India's commitment to combating terrorism. By targeting key figures involved in past attacks, India aims to prevent future threats and ensure regional stability. May 12, 2025, 8:42 AM IST India Rules Out IWT, Kashmir Talks With Pakistan; Limits Engagement To DGMO Level Only India will engage with Pakistan solely through communication between their respective Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs), and there will be no dialogue on contentious issues such as Kashmir or the Indus Waters Treaty, which currently remains suspended, according to a Hindustan Times May 11, 2025, 10:39 PM IST Major points from the press conference held by DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Air Marshal AK Bharti and Vice Admiral AN Pramod, on Operation Sindoor: 1. Over 100 terrorists killed in the action. 11 air bases in Pakistan destroyed. Indian Army inflicted heavy damage in response to Pakistan’s intrusion. 2. High-value targets eliminated include: Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, Mudassir Ahmad. 3. 9 confirmed terror camps, based on multi-agency intelligence. Key Targets: Bhawalpur (terrorist training camp) and Muridke (another key terrorist training site) 4. Even after the ceasefire, wave of UAVs and small drones intruded into Indian civilian and military areas. • These drones were successfully intercepted. 5. A befitting response was given by Indian armed forces. Further, all field commanders have been authorised to take appropriate action in case of any ceasefire violation. May 11, 2025, 10:18 PM IST Delhi "Our forces remained forward deployed in the Arabian Sea in a decisive posture with full readiness and capacity to strike select targets in sea and on land, including Karachi at the time of our choosing," said Vice Admiral AN Pramod.
First 'peaceful night' along J&K, border areas in days, says Army Following the chaos and all the skirmishes that had kept the areas along the northern and western International Borders (IB) up during the night for the past few days, the region has largely remained peaceful during the intervening night of May 11 and May 12, the Army stated. According to the Army, the region of Jammu and Kashmir and other areas along the IB were calm, and no incidents of the violation of the cessation of hostilities were reported. The army noted that this marked the first calm night in recent days following the cross-border firing, heavy artillery shelling and drone attacks by Pakistan in response to India's Operation Sindoor, launched in retaliation for the April 22 terror attacks, which dismantled major terror sites in Pakistan and in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). "The night remained largely peaceful in Jammu and Kashmir and other areas along the international border. No incident has been reported, marking the first calm night in recent days," the Indian Army stated. For the past few days, the border regions in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat were witnessing chaotic and sleepless nights due to Pakistan's heavy shelling and attempted drone attacks, which were aimed at disrupting peace along the region. 04:57 (IST) May 12 India agreed to pause as 'main objectives had already been achieved' Deep precision airstrikes with BrahMos supersonic missiles and other standoff weapons on several crucial airbases in Pakistan early Saturday proved to be decisive in the escalating hostilities between the two nations, causing the US to step in and push for a truce. India agreed as it had achieved its three main objectives — political, military and psychological — according to govt sources. Ceasefire on, but pressure stays: 6 key decisions by India against Pakistan that still stand [TimesOfIndia] India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire following escalated cross-border tensions in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives. The ceasefire was the result of direct engagement between Indian and Pakistani officials, with Islamabad agreeing to the terms with "no preconditions, no postconditions, and no links to other issues." This comes after the armed forces carried out precision strikes on terrorists hotspots in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor'. Follow live blog: PM Modi chairs high-level meeting a day after India-Pakistan ceasefire announcement Following India's action, Pakistan launched missiles and drones across LoC and International Borders which were intercepted by Army's air defence systems. Here are the punitive actions that will remain in effect: SUSPENSION OF INDUS WATERS TREATY The Indus Waters Treaty will remain in abeyance, government sources confirmed. “There are no preconditions to the ceasefire agreement reached on Saturday, and the IWT will remain suspended,” sources in the ministry of external affairs said. Brokered by the World Bank in 1960, the treaty governs the distribution and use of the Indus River and its tributaries between India and Pakistan. The treaty has historically benefited Pakistan, which receives about 80% of the total water flow from these rivers—vital for agriculture, particularly in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh. INTEGRATED CHECK POST TO REMAIN SHUT The Integrated check-post at Attari will also remain shut. The Attari-Wagah border crossing between India and Pakistan was completely closed following a week of heavy cross-border movement. The check post at Attari in Punjab was closed, and those who crossed over with valid documentation were instructed to return through that route before May 1. TRADE BAN The prohibition on all imports from Pakistan, whether direct or routed through intermediary nations, will also continue. Additionally, Pakistan-registered vessels are barred from entering Indian ports, and Indian ships are prohibited from accessing Pakistani harbors—reflecting a tougher diplomatic stance. A newly incorporated provision under “Prohibition on Import from Pakistan” in the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) says, “Direct or indirect import or transit of all goods originating in or exported from Pakistan, whether or not freely importable or otherwise permitted, shall be prohibited with immediate effect, until further orders.” CLOSURE OF AIRSPACE India will continue to enforce the closure of its airspace to flights originating from or traveling through Pakistan, a measure that came into effect on April 30. This move will force foreign carriers that typically overfly Pakistani airspace after exiting Indian airspace to take longer, alternate routes. BAN ON PAKISTANI ACTORS AND ARTISTS In the interest of national security, India will maintain its ban on Pakistani actors and artists performing within the country. In addition, all OTT platforms, media streaming services, and intermediaries operating in India are required to discontinue web series, films, songs, podcasts, and other digital content of Pakistani origin—whether available via subscription or otherwise. VISA SERVICES FOR PAKISTANI CITIZENS India will continue the suspension of all types of visas for Pakistani nationals. l Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the government had suspended all categories of visas for Pakistani citizens and instructed those already in India to leave by April 27. However, medical visas were given an extension until April 29, after which they were also revoked. “In continuation of the decisions made by the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Government of India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals with immediate effect,” the Ministry of External Affairs stated. The ministry also advised Indian nationals currently in Pakistan to return at the earliest.

SUMMARY India on Saturday accused Pakistan of violating a ceasefire agreement reached earlier the same day between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both nations. Speaking at a late-night press conference, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said Indian forces had been directed to give a firm response to any further ceasefire breaches along the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border. “An understanding was reached this evening between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan to halt the ongoing military action. However, in the last few hours, Pakistan has violated this understanding,” Misri stated. He confirmed that Indian forces were already retaliating against the latest cross-border attack, which he called “extremely condemnable.” Misri held Pakistan fully accountable for the renewed hostilities and called on Islamabad to immediately put an end to these provocations. “The armed forces are maintaining strict vigilance, and instructions have been issued to deal strongly with any further violations,” he added. Earlier, Misri had confirmed that both sides agreed to stop all military operations — whether by land, air, or sea — from 5:00 pm IST. But within hours, reports of gunfire emerged from Pakistan’s side in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir, along with sightings of multiple drones near the border. Tensions between the two countries are at their highest in years, sparked by India’s launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. Early Friday, powerful explosions shook Jammu city, leading to a complete blackout shortly after Indian forces thwarted Pakistani attempts to hit military targets near the border. Reports suggested that loitering munitions were present in the airspace. In a similar pattern, loud blasts were heard in the border town of Jaisalmer, while blackouts were enforced across several districts in western Rajasthan bordering Pakistan, throwing entire areas into darkness. A senior official confirmed that explosions continued for nearly an hour. Several parts of Punjab, Chandigarh, and Haryana — including Panchkula, Ambala, and Sirsa — were also affected by blackouts. These were seen as precautionary steps amid mounting military friction and fears of airstrikes following Operation Sindoor. The operation itself was launched in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, including 25 Indians and one Nepali national. The strike targeted nine key terror infrastructure sites tied to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), located across both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Sources said the operation began at 1:05 am and wrapped up by 1:30 am, with follow-up hits reported at 1:44 am. Officials stated that the mission deliberately avoided Pakistani military assets to prevent wider escalation while still delivering a strong counter-terror message. Key targets included JeM’s base in Bahawalpur and LeT’s hub in Muridke. Other locations hit included sites in Sialkot and Tehra Kalan in Pakistan, and Muzaffarabad and Kotli in PoK. The Indian military described the strikes as "focused, measured, and non-escalatory," exclusively aimed at terror networks. The operation was jointly detailed by Foreign Secretary Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh at a media briefing in New Delhi. In retaliation, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the strikes as an “act of war,” asserting that Pakistan’s response was already in motion. He declared the full backing of the Pakistani people for their armed forces and warned of further retaliatory action, fuelling fears of a broader conflict. Back in India, the government defended the move as necessary and justified. At a cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the armed forces for their precision and courage. He expressed satisfaction with the success of the operation and emphasised the need for ongoing alertness. The conflict has drawn international attention. US President Donald Trump commented on the situation, expressing alarm over the worsening scenario. "It’s so terrible," he said, while noting his strong ties with both India and Pakistan. Trump voiced hope that the two sides could bring the hostilities to an end. "Hopefully they can stop now, as they have gone tit-for-tat," he said, offering to assist with de-escalation if required. 04:17 (IST) May 11 Pakistan violates ceasefire: Firing, drones trigger blackouts in J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat Shortly after the ceasefire pact between India and Pakistan was announced, multiple ceasefire violations and drone intrusions were reported across the western front, including along the LoC and international border in J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Firing and drone sightings occurred in Rajouri, Jammu, Akhnoor, R S Pura, Udhampur, and Srinagar, triggering explosions and panic. Nearly 50 drones were reportedly shot down over Srinagar, with similar activity noted in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer and Barmer, and Gujarat’s Kutch. The violations led to widespread blackouts in border districts to avoid detection of targets, as advised by Indian defence authorities. Local administrations in affected regions enforced night-time blackouts, and residents were urged to remain in bunkers. In response to Pakistani aggression, Indian forces retaliated strongly, causing heavy damage to Pakistan Rangers’ posts and destroying a terror launchpad in Sialkot, PoK. 03:47 (IST) May 11 India-Pakistan Tensions Live: Lashkar’s Muridke HQ chief among 140 terrorists killed in Operation Sindoor India’s covert Operation Sindoor, carried out on the night of May 6-7, resulted in the elimination of around a dozen top-tier terrorists in Pakistan, including IC-814 hijacker Yusuf Azhar, Lashkar’s Muridke head Abu Jundal alias Mudassar, and the son of the 2016 Nagrota attack planner. Sources confirmed that the strikes, launched in retaliation for the recent Pahalgam massacre, killed an estimated 130-140 terrorists. The operation dealt a severe blow to Pakistan's military-terror nexus, as seen in the high-profile funerals of several terrorists, attended by Pakistani military and political leaders. Among the key targets was Yusuf Azhar, a long-wanted terrorist with an Interpol Red Notice, and Mudassar, who was given a military-style funeral by Pakistan Army. Lashkar's Abu Akasha and JeM’s Mohammad Hassan Khan were also killed. India’s intelligence claimed to possess video proof of military officials at these funerals, confirming direct links between the Pakistani state and terrorist groups. Two major terror hubs—Muridke and Bahawalpur—were destroyed in the strikes. These facilities had been central to planning and training for attacks like Pulwama (2019) and Nagrota. Officials called Operation Sindoor a clear signal of India’s capability to locate and eliminate high-value targets across the border. 03:19 (IST) May 11 Pakistan shelling kills 2 Army men, an IAF Sergeant and a BSF SI in Jammu Intensified shelling and drone attacks by Pakistani forces across the Jammu region resulted in the loss of four Indian security personnel. Among the casualties were an Army JCO and a rifleman, an IAF sergeant stationed in Udhampur, and a BSF sub-inspector positioned along the international border in the RS Pura sector. 01:31 (IST) May 11 India-Pakistan Tensions Live: Soldier injured in firing at Nagrota Army station in Jammu, search ops underway to track intruder An alert sentry at Nagrota Military Station thwarted a potential intrusion, sustaining minor injuries during a brief exchange of fire. Simultaneously, a precautionary blackout was enforced in parts of Punjab. India reported ceasefire violations by Pakistan, responding firmly and maintaining a strong vigil along the border and Line of Control after terrorist attack in Pahalgam. 00:21 (IST) May 11 Loud explosions, red streaks and sirens haunt Jammu and Kashmir, border districts again as Pakistan breaches ceasefire: What we know so far Despite a newly agreed ceasefire, loud explosions and drone sightings have triggered widespread concern across Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan, prompting a complete blackout in several districts. Following the explosions in Srinagar, air defense units were activated, while a firing incident occurred at an Army unit near Jammu. Security forces are investigating the threats as tensions escalate. 00:16 (IST) May 11 Ceasefire violations: India accuses Pakistan, orders strong response to border breaches India on Saturday held Pakistan responsible for breaching a ceasefire understanding reached earlier in the day between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries. Foreign secretary Vikram Misri, addressing a late-night press briefing, said Indian armed forces had been directed to respond firmly to any further violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border. "An understanding was reached this evening between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan to halt the ongoing military action. However, over the past few hours, Pakistan has breached this understanding," Misri said. 00:11 (IST) May 11 India Pakistan News Live: Nagrota Military Station; Sentry injured in brief gunfire after spotting suspicious movement A sentry posted at the Nagrota Military Station opened fire after detecting suspicious movement near the perimeter late Friday night, the White Knight Corps said in a statement. Upon issuing a challenge, the sentry was met with retaliatory fire, resulting in a brief exchange. The sentry sustained a minor injury during the incident but managed to alert security forces immediately. A search operation has since been launched in and around the area to trace the suspected intruder(s). SUMMARY India on Saturday blamed Pakistan of breaching a ceasefire understanding reached earlier in the day between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries. At a late-night press briefing, foreign secretary Vikram Misri said Indian armed forces had been instructed to respond firmly to any further violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border. “An understanding was reached this evening between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan to halt the ongoing military action. However, in the last few hours, Pakistan has violated this understanding,” Misri stated. He confirmed that Indian forces were retaliating against the latest cross-border intrusion, which he termed “extremely condemnable.” Misri said Pakistan bore full responsibility for the latest escalation and urged Islamabad to act immediately to halt the provocations. “The armed forces are maintaining strict vigilance, and instructions have been issued to deal strongly with any further violations,” he added. Earlier in the day, Misri announced that the DGMOs had agreed to cease all military activity — including on land, air, and sea — starting at 5:00 pm IST. However, just hours later, firing was reported from the Pakistani side in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir, with multiple drone sightings along the border. On Friday morning, panic gripped parts of Jammu following air-raid sirens and explosions near the LoC in Poonch and Rajouri. The Border Security Force (BSF) also thwarted an infiltration attempt in Samba late Thursday night. Meanwhile, the Indian Army reported shooting down more than 50 swarm drones during several Pakistani attempts to breach defences. Advanced air defence systems including L-70, Zu-23mm, and Schilka guns were deployed across critical areas such as Udhampur, Jammu, Nagrota, Akhnoor, Samba, and Pathankot. Unverified reports claimed that a Pakistani Air Force jet may have been downed over the Pathankot sector. Two Pakistani drones were also destroyed in the Naushera sector amid intense artillery exchanges. The Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) confirmed that key Indian military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur were targeted with drones and missiles, all of which were successfully intercepted with no casualties. Union home minister Amit Shah chaired an emergency meeting with top officials from border forces and CISF to review security across India’s borders and airports. Internationally, US Vice President JD Vance, who was in India during the Pahalgam terror attack, called the situation a “regional conflict” and said the US would not intervene but would support dialogue. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has been in touch with global leaders, assuring them that India’s response has been “targeted, proportional, and focused on terror infrastructure.” India strongly rejected Pakistan’s accusation that it targeted the Neelum-Jhelum hydropower project in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), warning Islamabad against using such “blatant lies” as pretext for further escalation. Foreign secretary Misri reiterated that the current crisis was triggered by the Pahalgam attack and said the onus now lay on Pakistan to de-escalate. He also accused Pakistan of running a disinformation campaign. Pakistan, meanwhile, reportedly launched another round of drone and missile strikes on Thursday night, targeting areas including Satwari, RS Pura, and Arnia. All eight missiles were intercepted. Authorities confirmed the recovery of drone and missile debris from multiple sites, offering clear evidence of the assault. |

Vikram Misri Criticises Pakistan For Giving State Honour To Terrorists, Sat Photos Released of 2 Sites India Hit Wednesday |
2025-05-09 |
[OneIndia] Addressing the media on escalating tensions between India and Pakistain, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri slammed Pakistain for giving state-honour funerals of three terrorists. These individuals were eliminated in strikes by the Indian military as part of Operation Sindoor. Misri highlighted the unusual practice of draping coffins with Pak flags and conducting the funerals with state honors, a treatment typically reserved for civilians. This occurrence raises questions about the nature of the individuals being honored in such a manner. During the briefing, Misri pointed out the contradiction in Pakistain's claim that the Indian military had targeted civilians in their recent operation. He underscored that the strikes on May 7 specifically targeted terrorist infrastructure, based on precise intelligence. The presence of Pakistain Army personnel at these funerals, Misri argued, sends a telling message about the identities of the dear departed. According to Misri, the practice of giving Lions of Islam state funerals seems to be a norm in Pakistain, which he finds perplexing and unjustifiable. INDIA'S COUNTERTERRORISM EFFORTS HIGHLIGHTED India undertook military action against nine terrorist facilities under 'Operation Sindoor' in response to a terror attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... , which resulted in the death of 26 civilians. This operation aimed to dismantle the infrastructure supporting terrorism, with India confirming the successful elimination of several terror targets. Despite Pakistain's claims that the strikes resulted in civilian casualties, India maintains that the operation was focused exclusively on combatting terrorism. The targeted strike in Muridke, situated about 40 kilometers from Lahore, resulted in the deaths of Qari Abdul Malik, Khalid, and Mudassir. This action was part of India's broader strategy to disrupt the operations of terrorist groups. The funeral for these individuals was conducted under strict security measures and saw the attendance of not just Pakistain Army personnel but also members of the civil bureaucracy and Jamaat-ud-Dawa ...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba... h (JuD), a banned ...the word bannedseems to have a different meaning in Pakistain than it does in most other places. Or maybe it simply lacks any meaning at all... organization led by Hafiz Saeed ![]() . The ceremony, led by Hafiz Abdul Rauf, included prayers for the nation's safety and security. Misri also addressed Pakistain's allegations that India had targeted religious sites during its operation. He categorically denied these claims, emphasizing that the operation focused solely on terrorist infrastructure and facilities linked to cross-border terrorism into India. Misri accused Pakistain of misusing religious sites to radicalize, instruct, and train terrorists, thereby endangering the region's security. Proof From Above: Satellite Pics Show Extent of 5/7 Terror Site Damage in Operation Sindoor - Before-After Photos [OneIndia] High-resolution satellite images released by Maxar Technologies provide clear visual confirmation of the extensive damage caused by Operation Sindoor, which targeted nine sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These sites were linked to terrorist groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen. The imagery offers striking before-and-after comparisons of two major targets: the Markaz Subhan Allah compound near Bahawalpur and the Markaz Taiba complex in Nangal Sadhan, Muridke. Both facilities, key ideological and operational centres for JeM and LeT, respectively, now appear severely damaged with visible craters, collapsed roofs, and scattered debris, as seen in images dated May 7. Established in 2015, this compound functioned as JeM's central hub for operations and training. It housed the group's top leadership, including chief Masood Azhar and deputy Abdul Rauf Asghar. The centre was reportedly involved in planning multiple attacks, including the 2019 Pulwama bombing. MARKAZ TAIBA, MURIDKE In operation since 2000, this LeT stronghold served as a key training and radicalisation centre. It offered weapons training, religious indoctrination, and fitness programs to nearly 1,000 recruits annually. Notably, it was a training site for the 2008 Mumbai attackers, including Ajmal Kasab and David Headley. Historical intelligence suggests Osama bin Laden contributed significantly to building its mosque and guesthouse. Satellite imagery shows severe structural damage to several buildings. Additional sites targeted in Operation Sindoor include Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Rawalakot, Chakswari, Bhimber, Neelum Valley, Jhelum, and Chakwal. Indian intelligence had been monitoring these locations for months, tracking suspicious movement patterns, satellite phone activity, and vehicular logistics consistent with terror operations. THE OPERATION Operation Sindoor was launched in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 25 lives, including that of a Nepali tourist. India attributed the attack to LeT operatives trained across the border. The offensive employed a mix of air-launched cruise missiles, loitering munitions (kamikaze drones), and long-range artillery. The Indian Air Force executed four strikes across the international border, while five others targeted sites within Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Defence officials clarified that no Pakistani military installations were hit, describing the operation as "measured, focused, and non-escalatory." Meanwhile, Indian Defence Minister Rajanth Singh has said that 100 terrorists were killed in the Wednesday operation. He has reportedly said that such operation will continue. |

'And a Nepalese citizen.' Why India and Pakistan started a mini-war
2025-05-09 | |
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. by Leonid Savin
![]() A press release from the Indian Ministry of Defence issued immediately after the attack (the document is dated 01:44 a.m.) said the armed forces "conducted Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir… Nine targets were hit… The action was targeted and non-escalatory… Pakistani military installations were not affected… This was in response to the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam in which 25 Indians and one Nepalese citizen were killed.” In response, the Pakistani Air Force was put on alert and artillery shelling began on Indian military deployment points in Jammu and Kashmir. According to initial reports from the Pakistani side, they managed to shoot down three Rafale fighters of the Indian Air Force. Later, it was reported that in addition to the Rafales, a Su-30, a MiG-29 and a Heron attack drone were shot down. In addition, it was said that the headquarters of the Indian armed forces brigade in Kashmir had been destroyed, and Indian strongholds where white flags had been displayed had been destroyed on the Line of Control (there is no official border, since both sides do not recognize each other's territorial claims). It is worth noting that a few days before the incident, it became known that China had delivered a large batch of PL-15 air-to-air missiles to Pakistan, which were installed on JF-17 aircraft, and the squadrons were put on combat alert. The range of these missiles is 300 km. They were probably used to destroy the Indian aircraft. As for the victims, Pakistan reported 31 killed and about 50 wounded. In Muzaffarabad, in Kashmir, an Indian missile destroyed a mosque and a madrassa. It is significant that Indian media quoted Masood Azhar, the leader of the Jaish-e-Mohammed organization, which is based in Kashmir and is known for its anti-Indian activities. According to him, his wife, elder sister and her husband, and other relatives, ten people in all, were killed after the Indian missile attack. If from India's point of view the operation was directed against terrorists, and this organization is such for India, then the position justifying selective strikes that kill civilians, possibly even those associated with the leaders of a radical organization, looks strange. Especially since the leader himself remained alive. Most likely, the Indian military was trying to copy the methods of the Israelis, who often use targeted attacks against senior figures in the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance. But in this case it looks like a clear failure, although the Indian side cites the names of the militant training camps that were allegedly hit. In Pakistan, this version was immediately rejected, saying that international observers and journalists had previously visited these places and they did not see any “terrorist bases” there. A similar incident occurred in 2019, when a suicide bombing in Indian-administered Kashmir was followed by strikes in Pakistani Kashmir. However, now the attack has also hit areas within Pakistan's internationally recognised borders - Muridke, Bahawalpur and Sialkot. Pakistani authorities have therefore immediately accused India of aggression. On the Indian side, 12 people were killed and about three dozen were injured. There were no reports of damage, but the loss of several aircraft was confirmed. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an emergency meeting of the National Security Council and cancelled foreign visits planned for next week. Civil defense exercises were held in states bordering Pakistan. Apparently, New Delhi was expecting a massive retaliatory strike from Pakistan. Pakistan also held a National Security Council meeting, where the military was given free rein to use force. Pakistan's leadership declared its right to invoke Article 51 of the UN Charter on the right to self-defense. President Asif Ali Zardari, among others, said that an appropriate response would be given. Pakistan's representative to the UN also briefed the Security Council on the details of the incident. The Islamabad airport has been temporarily closed, with all flights diverted to Karachi. Some foreign airlines have suspended flights to Pakistan and have begun to bypass its territory. All airports in northern India have also been closed until May 10. While this is not the first time that the two countries have had military conflicts and exchanges of blows, the current situation is somewhat different. It is reminiscent of the missile and drone exchanges between Israel and Iran in 2024, which, despite years of tension, did not escalate into a full-scale war. Despite the good ties between the countries and the personal friendship between Narendra Modi and Donald Trump, it appears that the White House will not be supportive. The US has already called for de-escalation, and Trump has simply brushed off the issue in his comments, although he did call for a ceasefire on May 7. India also cannot count on another proven military partner, Israel, since the Netanyahu regime is currently busy preparing a new large-scale operation against the Gaza Strip. So it is unlikely that New Delhi will receive military assistance from these two countries. India is also putting its credibility at risk in the Muslim-majority Global South, as criticism of the Modi government grows. Pakistan's behavior looks more rational. At the same time, it can fully count on military-technical assistance from, at a minimum, China and Turkey. Not to mention the financial and diplomatic support of a number of monarchies in the Middle East. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir 's visit to New Delhi on May 8 may be aimed at brokering a ceasefire. His Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi is also in India. Moreover, India's actions have united Pakistan's political parties, and while some continue to call for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, there is unanimity on India's part to continue the fight. At the same time, secret Indian documents were leaked. The first talks about India's unpreparedness to wage a conventional war due to low morale among its troops and the vulnerability of both civilian and military infrastructure. It was signed on April 26 but was leaked to the public two days later. The second appeared on May 1 and is of more serious interest, as it could be interpreted as a guide to organizing a terrorist attack against Pakistan's own citizens with the aim of subsequently blaming Pakistan. The leaks show that deep within the Indian establishment there are clear opponents of the current military escalation in particular and Modi's policies in general. On the morning of May 8, a number of Indian media outlets began to claim that Amritsar, where the sacred Sikh temple is located, had been hit by a missile attack from Pakistan. However, no confirmation of this has yet been provided. Pakistan once again denied the accusations, although it had previously warned of an imminent response.

"There’s a big aspect of free mixing," she said ahead of the election. "Moslem women aren’t really comfortable with being involved with Moslem men. I’m sure we can have segregated areas, segregated gyms, where Moslem women don’t have to sacrifice their health." Meanwhile Azhar Ali, suspended by Labour for antisemitism last year during the Rochdale byelection, has been elected as an independent candidate as county councillor for the Nelson East ward with 1976 votes. Pakistani Rape Gangs in Britain and Systemic Crisis of Justice |
2025-01-07 |
The view from India, as published by an Afghan news site. [KhaamaPress] Britannia’s moral foundation faces its gravest challenge as the nation confronts the systematic exploitation of vulnerable children by Pak rape gangs, exposing failures across law enforcement, social services, and the political establishment.[1] What emerged first in Rotherham has revealed itself as a national scandal, with authorities consistently prioritizing political correctness over protecting young British girls. The scale is horrifying. In Rotherham alone, an independent inquiry identified 1,400 victims between 1997 and 2013. Similar patterns emerged in Rochdale, Telford, and other cities across Britannia. The victims, predominantly young white girls from vulnerable backgrounds, were systematically targeted, groomed, and exploited while authorities deliberately looked the other way to avoid accusations of racism.Professor Alexis Jay’s 2014 review revealed the institutional paralysis that enabled these crimes.[2] Despite repeated reports from victims, law enforcement and social services consistently failed to take appropriate action. Girls as young as 11 came forward only to be dismissed or ignored by those charged with their protection. The authorities’ response wasn’t mere negligence but it was a conscious choice to sacrifice children’s safety at the altar of political correctness. Local political dynamics played a crucial role in perpetuating this crisis. Authorities in multiple jurisdictions demonstrated a consistent pattern of prioritizing perceived community relations over victim protection. The fear of being labeled racist led to reduced scrutiny and intervention, effectively creating an environment where Pak gangs could operate with impunity. This political cowardice came at a devastating human cost. The statistics are quite shocking. In Telford, studies showed that one in 126 Moslem men were prosecuted between 1997 and 2017, while in Rotherham, the figure was one in 73. These numbers reveal an uncomfortable truth about the disproportionate involvement of British Pak men in these organized rape gangs, a fact that authorities long tried to suppress.[3] Law enforcement’s failure has been particularly enraging. The 2022 Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse found widespread failures by police to properly document cases and pursue investigations. Officers often dismissed victims as lacking credibility or making lifestyle choices, revealing a problematic culture that prioritized political convenience over child protection. The West Yorkshire Police, among others, faced particular criticism for their systematic failures. The Crown Prosecution Service’s handling of cases during critical periods raises serious questions about institutional complicity. Between 2008 and 2013, numerous opportunities for intervention were missed. The case of a Rochdale victim encountering her convicted abuser in a local store, despite his having lost a deportation appeal two years earlier, exemplifies the system’s complete failure in both prevention and justice. Recent social media discussions led by influential figures like JK Rowling and Elon Musk have highlighted the ongoing nature of these crimes and the continued failure to achieve justice.[4] Rowling’s insistence on calling them "rape gangs" rather than "grooming gangs" reflects growing public anger at the sanitization of these crimes. As she pointed out, calling them grooming gangs minimizes the horror of their actions. These were organized rape gangs that systematically targeted and destroyed young lives.[5] The political establishment’s response remains inadequate. Despite recent initiatives, including a government taskforce that has made hundreds of arrests, many perpetrators remain free. The reluctance to confront this issue head-on, coupled with concerns about electoral implications in areas with large Pak populations, has hampered effective action. This political calculation continues to prioritize votes over victims. Immigration policies have proven woefully inadequate. The failure to deport convicted foreign nationals, even after losing appeals, has led to situations where victims must face their abusers in their own communities. This represents a double failure of the system. The first in protection, then in justice. The British state’s inability to remove foreign criminals who have committed these heinous crimes against British children represents a fundamental failure of illusory sovereignty. The UK currently requires radical reform across multiple institutions. The police and social services need complete overhauls of their child protection protocols. The Crown Prosecution Service must reform its case handling procedures. Immigration enforcement must be strengthened, particularly regarding convicted offenders. Most importantly, politicianship must prioritize justice and victim protection over perceived community sensitivities. As Britannia grapples with this crisis, the human cost continues to mount. The victims, many now adults, carry the scars of both the abuse and the institutional betrayal that followed. Their stories stand as a testament to the devastating consequences of political correctness and institutional cowardice. The systematic rape of British children by predominantly Pak gangs, and the establishment’s willful blindness to it, represents one of the darkest chapters in modern British history. The legacy of these systematic failures continues to impact communities across Britannia. Only through comprehensive reform of law enforcement, social services, and immigration enforcement, coupled with honest confrontation of cultural issues within the Pak community, can the UK begin to address this crisis. The time for tiptoeing around uncomfortable truths is over. Britannia’s children deserve protection, and Britannia’s authorities must finally put their safety above all other considerations. The Telegraph came out with another damning summing up, and Twitchy collected tweeted responses: SCANDAL: Damning Telegraph Story Highlights How U.K. Authorities Covered Up Grooming GangsElon Musk has been absolutely pounding the U.K. authorities, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer, over the 'grooming gang' scandal and cover up, and he should. It is an egregious example of not only government negligence, but of the woke mind virus taken to its fetid, logical conclusion. In short, the U.K. authorities who could have put a stop to the gangs of Muslim migrants who systematically abused, raped, and groomed thousands of British girls didn't, because they didn't want to be seen as 'racist' and 'Islamophobic.' Now The Telegraph has a damning story about how the coverup worked, and how those girls were not only denied justice, but often harassed and arrested by authorities:
Here's more: In Telford, Lucy Lowe died at 16 alongside her mother and sister when her abuser set fire to her home in 2000. She had given birth to Azhar Ali Mahmood’s child when she was just 14, and was pregnant when she was killed. Her death was subsequently used to threaten other children. The Telford Inquiry found particularly brutal threats. When one victim aged 12 told her mother, and the mother called the police, 'there was about six or seven Asian men who came to my house. They threatened my mum saying they’ll petrol bomb my house if we don’t drop the charges.' Yet in a pattern that would repeat itself, Telford’s authorities looked the other way. When an independent review was finally published in 2022, it found police officers described parts of the town as a 'no-go area', while witnesses set out multiple allegations of police corruption and favouritism towards the Pakistani community. Regardless of the reason, the inquiry found that “there was a nervousness about race… bordering on a reluctance to investigate crimes committed by what was described as the ‘Asian’ community'. Similar concerns applied at the council, where anxieties over appearing racist saw safeguarding officers waving away concerns simply because the perpetrators were Asian. It was felt that some suspects were not investigated because it would have been 'politically incorrect'.

Syria's Central Bank Gold Miraculously Still In The Vault, Reuters Claims |
2024-12-23 |
[ZeroHedge] In an astonishing turn of events, amid the recent turmoil and shifts in power that have engulfed Syria over the past 3 weeks, one key component of the country’s wealth which has remained unscathed in the fog of war, at least according to Reuters reporter Timour Azhari, is the Syrian central bank’s gold reserves in Damascus - all 25.8 tonnes of gold worth over US $2.2 billion at current market prices. According to the Reuters report, while the bank’s FX balances have fallen to just “US$ 200 million in cash”, the “vault of Syria's central bank holds nearly 26 tons of gold, the same amount it had at the start of its bloody civil war in 2011." This is despite the fall of Damascus, the escape of former leader Bashar al-Assad to Moscow, and the rise of Ahmed al-Sharaa, leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), as commander-in-chief of the new administration, with Mohammed al-Bashir as leader of a caretaker government. Reuters news agency, part of Thomson Reuters group (which is majority controlled by The Woodbridge Company Limited, a holding company of the Canadian Thomson family) first admits that... “Reuters could not access the central bank vaults.” So none of the 600 photo journalists employed by Reuters could get even one photo of some gold bars in the Damascus vault. What a pity. Reuters then also admits that “media representatives for Syria's new ruling administration and for the Central Bank of Syria did not respond to Reuters requests.” This left Reuters to talk to the proverbial “four people familiar with the situation”. One of these four unidentified sources told Reuters that “The vault is bomb-proof and requires three keys, each held by a different person, and a combination code to be opened”. Two other sources told Reuters that “the vault was inspected by members of Syria's new administration last week, days after the rebels took control of the Syrian capital Damascus.” One week ago on December 10, Reuters’ Timour Azhari also reported that looters had entered Syria's central bank in recent days and “stolen some money from the central bank building but that the main vault had remained untouched”, Strangely however, that Reuters report from last week didn’t mention any gold, and was only based on comments from the “head of the Damascus Chambers of Commerce” who was relaying information from the “authorities”. A more direct source was not available because neither the Syrian central bank governor, Issam Hazima, nor his deputy, Maysaa Sabreen, has responded to Reuters requests for comment. Other recent coverage from Damascus did however report that “National Bank of Syria is looted by US backed rebels with dollars, euros and gold stolen.” Back to the Reuters, which continues that “the sources familiar with the situation” said that “the gold was never liquidated in order to keep sufficient collateral for the Syrian pounds circulating in the market.” This is all the more surprising however, since the very same Reuters news agency was reporting 12 years ago that... “Syria is trying to sell gold reserves to raise revenue as Western and Arab sanctions targeting its central bank and oil exports begin to bite, diplomats and traders said.” In that article from April 2012, titled "Syria selling gold reserves as sanctions bite: sources" Reuters stated that: "Syria is selling its gold at rock bottom prices," said a Western diplomatic source, declining to say where it was being sold. Notably, the World Gold Council says that the last time Syria’s central bank reported gold reserves levels to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was in 2011, when it reported total gold holdings of 25.8 tonnes, just before the Syrian central bank’s rumored gold sales of 2012. So how could the Syrian central bank still have 25.8 tonnes of gold given the gold sales in 2012 when it was “selling its gold at rock bottom prices" in “volumes of around 20-30 kilos”? But according to Reuters, the Syrian central bank gold reserves are the luckiest gold reserves in the world. They have miraculously defied the odds and survived 12 years of sanctions as FX reserves dwindled, survived multiple attempts to sell the gold being all over the Middle East, survived 3 weeks of recent fighting and chaos, the flight of Assad to Moscow, the arrival of a previously designated terrorist organization (HTS) into power, and an assault by looters into the central bank building last week. It must be because the vault is “bomb proof” and “needs 3 keys to open it”. The claim by Reuters now that the Syrian central bank still holds 25.8 tonnes of gold is not credible, even based on its own reporting from 2012. This therefore undermines the entire Reuters story about the gold still being in the Syrian central bank vault. |

Israeli Assault on Lebanon Continues: Intense Bombardment of Tyre
2024-10-24 | |
[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.COM.LB] The Israeli enemy continued its barbaric ... KABOOM!... s on Leb ![]() for the 31st consecutive day, targeting civilians, their homes, and livelihoods across multiple regions, particularly in the south, Bekaa, West Bekaa, and Beirut's southern suburb (Dahiyeh). In the latest assaults, Israeli occupation warplanes struck the towns of Bazouriyeh and Mahmoudiyah, along with the outskirts of Kfar Roumman and Blat. Areas in Khiyam, Arabsalim, Taybeh, and Baflay were also targeted, including the orchards surrounding Qasmiyeh. Reports confirmed that two deaders were killed in an airstrike on Mayfadoun, which also destroyed the women's Husayniyya (religious assembly hall) in the town. HYSTERIC ATTACK ON TYRE, SOUTH LEBANON The Israeli occupation launched a barrage of intense airstrikes on the southern city of Tyre, hitting several key locations, including the al-Shaheed Foundation, al-Afak Institute, al-Qard al-Hassan Association, the Islamic Health Organization, the old municipal building, Azhar al-Salam Street, and al-Diniyah Street. ISRAELI AGGRESSION ON BEKAA In the Bekaa Valley, Israeli aircraft carried out an airstrike on the town of Shmestar, struck Nabi Sheet, targeted a house in Taraya, and executed another airstrike on the town of Zaboud. In West Bekaa, enemy warplanes struck Abu Rashed Mountain, located between West Bekaa and the Jezzine area, and carried out two airstrikes on the town of Labaya. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 19 individuals were martyred and 35 others were maimed in evening airstrikes across the Nabatiyeh, South Lebanon, and Baalbek-Hermel governorates. As of yesterday, the total number of deaders from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon reached 2,546, while the number of injured surpassed 11,862, according to statistics from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The Lebanese health ministry said 16 people were wounded in the strikes on Tyre, while AFP footage showed entire neighborhoods buried under rubble. “The whole city shook,” Rana, a resident who asked to only use her first name over security concerns, told AFP after fleeing to the seafront following an Israeli military warning for people to evacuate much of Tyre’s center in the morning. The IDF strikes targeted “command and control complexes of various Hezbollah units,” according to a social media post by Adraee. Adraee described Tyre as an “important” Hezbollah stronghold, although Amal, an ally of the Iran-backed group, was believed to hold more sway there. Before the Israel-Hezbollah border skirmishes began last year, at least 50,000 people lived in Tyre, a vibrant city home to both Christians and Muslims. The city was emptied of most of its population when Israel’s escalated its offensive against Hezbollah last month. Only 14,500 remained there on Tuesday, said Bilal Kashmar of Tyre’s disaster management unit. But the city saw a fresh exodus on Wednesday as people began to escape immediately after the Israeli army issued an evacuation warning for four neighborhoods at 8:00 a.m. Emergency teams drove around the city, urging people to evacuate over megaphones, a video journalist collaborating with AFP said. An AFP photographer in the city of Sidon, further north, saw dozens of cars on the coastal highway filled with families carrying mattresses, suitcases and clothes. Tyre is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It is home to important archaeological sites, mainly from Roman times. Kashmar said there has yet to be a damage assessment for heritage sites. However, “damage is possible,” he said, explaining that one strike hit less than 50 meters away from one of the city’s ruins. UNESCO said it was “closely following the impact of the ongoing conflict on the World Heritage site of Tyre” using remote sensing tools and satellite imagery. Air strike kills dozens in southern Khartoum |
2024-10-15 |
[SUDANTRIBUNE] At least 23 people were killed and 40 maimed in an air strike by the Sudan![]() ese army on civilian areas in southern Khartoum on Saturday, activists reported. The attack comes amid a surge of attacks by the army on the positions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group. The ... KABOOM!... s targeted the Southern Belt region, hitting a busy market area and residential buildings. Among the casualties were tea sellers, shoppers, and residents of nearby apartments. ''The bombing caused massive destruction that affected a large number of high-rise buildings in the central market area,'' said Mohammed Kandisha, a spokesperson for the Southern Belt Emergency Room. He added that hospitals were struggling to cope with the influx of injured civilians. The Southern Belt, comprising several neighbourhoods, including al-Ingaz, al-Salama, and al-Azhari, has been a battleground between the army and the RSF since the conflict erupted in April. The area is frequently subjected to artillery fire and aerial bombardment, resulting in numerous civilian casualties. This latest attack is part of a major offensive launched by the army on September 26th to reclaim areas under RSF control. However, nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits... the army's increased reliance on air power has drawn criticism from human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... groups who accuse them of indiscriminate bombing and endangering civilians. The ongoing conflict in Sudan has triggered a humanitarian crisis, with widespread displacement and shortages of essential supplies.
