At least two soldiers martyred, nine terrorists killed in separate KP engagements |
2025-03-16 |
[GEO.TV] At least two Pakistain Army soldiers embraced martyrdom while nine turbans were bumped off in two separate engagements in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the military's media wing said on Saturday. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mohmand District on the reported presence of terrorists. "During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged [their] location, resultantly, seven khwarij were sent to hell," it said. However, by candlelight every wench is handsome... during an intense fire exchange, two soldiers — Havildar Muhammad Zahid, a resident of District Malakand, and Sepoy Aftab Ali Shah, a resident of District Chitral, rendered the "ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom". In another encounter that took place in the general area of Maddi, Dera Ismail Khan ... the Pearl of Pashtunistan ... District, a fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists. Resultantly, two turbans were effectively neutralised. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities, the ISPR said. "Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area," it said, adding that the security forces were determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country. |

Violent clashes after armed neo-Nazis drape swastika flags from Ohio overpass

Residents were shocked when 13 men
'We're a community at heart, and a proud historical African American community,' Lincoln Heights Village Council member Daronce Daniels told Local 12 News. 'So things of that nature don't stand here, you know, that's a symbol of hate,' Daniels added. 'We're a community of pride and love.' Traffic cameras captured the men, each dressed in black clothing and red face masks, as they hung white supremacy messages off of the overpass.
'I'm like, wow, are we still doing that in 2025?,' Howard told the outlet. 'We just have to have some meetings about it because I'm fearing for my life, like I walk outside all the time, and now I have to be in fear just in case anything could happen.' The Evendale Police Department responded to the 'unannounced protest' shortly after 2pm where they said they were working on 'keeping the peace.' Traffic cameras showed dozens of patrol cars blocking off traffic on the overpass.
'You will not win,' Julian Cook, a pastor in Lincoln Heights, told WCPO News. 'You will not win. You may try, but we have a history of being able to push past these things, as difficult as they may be. You will not win.' Shortly before 3pm, residents began to retaliate. Nearly 100 people yelled at the neo-Nazi group to leave, quickly leading to a confrontation. One of the people who confronted the protestors, 16-year-old Ethan Eley, told The Enquirer that he pulled off the highway after reading a sign that read along the lines of, 'Save the white man's America.'
One officer, who was armed with an AR-15 style rifle, pushed back residents who had come to the scene in opposition, according to Eley. More than 20 residents ended up breaking through the police barricades and rushed towards the men, who began packing their items into a U-Haul parked nearby. During the rush, someone ended up snatching one of the flags, WCPO reported. 'The Nazis began to back off,' Eley told The Enquirer. 'They quickly jumped in the back of the U-Haul truck and took off.' 'There was just a general sense of unity for pushing people like that out of their community,' he added. One women counter-protesting the group pulled out lighter fluid and set the flag ablaze, as others joined in - stepping and spitting on the burning flag. Residents also slashed the tires of a Jeep which they believed belonged to one of the men in the group. Once the U-Haul pulled off, residents began forming a prayer circle where they joined hands and stayed together well after the hate group dispersed. Evendale Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department responded to the demonstration, which they said was 'short lived' and the protestors left on their own accord. The department added that 'the protest, while very offensive, was not unlawful.' Lincoln Heights Council Member Daniels said that this protest will be at the very top of his mind during the next meeting. He also wants to talk to both the sheriff's office and the police department about why they didn't break up the protest sooner. 'I'm more proud than our residents for showing up and saying that, "Hey, we're not going to allow anybody to come in and bully us in any type of way, especially in this moment,''' he told Local 12. A group that refers to themselves as 'The Hate Club' - the same group behind the November neo-Nazi march in Columbus - has taken credit for Friday's protest. November's shocking display, which was done in broad daylight, also enraged Americans as the suspects were heard airing chants disparaging people of color and those who are Jewish on circulated video footage. There have been no arrests made in either protests, though multiple residents believe that there should have been. 'They just let these people drive off and disrespect us and our heritage,' resident Kachara Talbert told NBC News. 'And y'all going to let these terrorists and racists come over here and do that?' The Anti-Defamation League Center on Extremism is now tracking down the group that is known for its black and red face masks, according to Local 12. Several people publicly responded to the twisted demonstration, including Mayor Aftab Pureval who released a statement to X on Friday afternoon. 'Messages of hate like this have no place in our region. It was shocking and disgusting to see swastikas displayed in Evendale today,' he said. 'This is not what we stand for, and it will never be what we stand for.' The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati also released a statement explaining how it was 'deeply disturbed' by the entire demonstration. 'We will not be intimidated. Our response to hate is to reaffirm our commitment to strengthening community bonds, advancing education, and advocating for a society free of antisemitism and all forms of hate and bigotry,' the group said. 'We urge all citizens of Cincinnati to stand with us in rejecting hate and building a community where all people can live without fear or intimidation.' The Cincinnati NAACP, a leading civil rights organization, addressed the protest while suggesting that the demonstrators may have been from out of town. 'Recently, in the area, there was a group of individuals waving a symbolism of hate,' the organization said. 'We are aware of the presence and based on the location they chose to display their message of hate; we question their residency in the city of Cincinnati.' Lincoln Heights also made a statement the following day, which said: 'Racism is ugly, and it was on display yesterday,' The Enquirer reported. 'This kind of activity has no place in Lincoln Heights or anywhere else. We are proud of the restraint our community showed in response to this demonstration,' the statement added. The response added that the incident is still under investigation. The Cincinnati NAACP said that the country's current administration, may have, in part, motivated the neo-Nazi group to take to the overpass on Friday afternoon, The Enquirer reported.

Dacoits slay 'defiant' primary schoolteacher in Kandhkot-Kashmore's kacha area |
2024-03-20 |
![]() The teacher, Allah Rakhiyo Nandwani, was attacked on his way back home from a cluster primary school in Nasrullah Khan Bijarani, which is known as a no-go area due to the presence of dacoits, on Monday (March 18). The dacoits reportedly stopped him as he rode his cycle of violence and fled after shooting him dead. The gruesome incident comes days after a video of Nandwani going to the school went viral on social media. The short video clip showed the schoolteacher carrying a rifle for his safety while navigating from his residence to the school and back. "I go to the school [to teach] for the sake of students’ future. Police and education department have been telling me that I can’t go there (no-go area), but doing this would harm the future of children. I am protecting myself," he said as he showed the gun he carried in the video. Defiant of the bandit-rule, Nandwani vowed to attend his duties as schoolteacher regularly to serve the students. In the video, the slain teacher's own son was seen sitting behind him on the cycle of violence, who apparently studies in the same school. According to the local police, gunnies shot up Nandwani near Mandani check-post. Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar took notice of the incident and sought a report from Larkana Deputy Inspector General of Police Nasir Aftab in two days. With the latest incident, it seems like police are unable to control the situation as entire district Kashmore is reportedly been under the rule of dacoits. It may be noted that the dacoits of kacha areas in Kandhkot-Kashmore have kidnapped over 400 people in the past one year. Despite big claims and over 250 operations by the Sindh Police, the kacha area dacoits apparently have been operating freely. The police reportedly do not have modern weapons and equipment, except for the armoured vehicles but even these vehicles cannot go deep into the kacha areas due to wild bushes and sand. The could only reach the areas housing elements facilitating the dacoits but not the areas where their hideouts are. [KRQE] Verdict reached in first trial for man accused of killing 3 Muslim men in Albuquerque A jury on Monday found Muhammad Syed
Police said Hussein was shot on Rhode Island Street near Copper. Jury deliberation started on Monday morning around 9:00am. It took them only two hours to reach their verdict. Both the defense and the prosecution rested their cases on Friday after four days of testimony and 20 witnesses. Syed did not testify during the trial. Syed is now a convicted murderer, but the prosecution says his motive is still unknown. “There’s only minimal conjecture on possible motive. As best we can tell, the motive in this may truly be a random serial killer type of mentality that we will never understand,” says David Waymire, prosecuting attorney. “Certainly we felt relief, I think that the relief that we feel is certain upon us but as well as the community. We’re just proud of the verdict, proud of the work the jury did in deliberations,” says Jordan Machin, prosecuting attorney. The prosecution team says they believe the cell phone records putting Syed in the area of the shooting, the gun linked to him, and the note Syed wrote in his Notes app saying he would ‘test’ his AK-47 minutes before the murder all helped make the case. Syed’s defense team expressed disappointment with the verdict: “We respect the jury system. This is the best system in the world. Obviously we’re disappointed but the jury made their decision, they made a unanimous decision regarding our clients guilt and we have to respect that,” says Thomas Clark, defense attorney for Syed. “Well certainly we respect their decision but we are understandably disappointed on behalf of our client,” says Megan Mitsunaga, defense attorney for Syed. Syed still faces two other murder trials for two separate killings that took place in 2022. The next trial that’s expected to take place is for 27-year-old Muhammad Afzaal Hussain, a UNM alumni and Espanola city planner who was shot and killed while walking near his house at night near Cornell and Coal Avenue. His brother, Muhammad Imtiaz Hussain, has been following this case and also spoke out Monday: “At least it give us a little bit of relief at least, that person who has potential of killing innocent lives, he is behind the bar and no other brother, no other son, will become victim of that hate-monger.” The third trial is expected to be for 25-year-old Naeem Hussain. Police said Hussain was shot to death while sitting in his car in the parking lot of Lutheran Family Services on Truman off San Mateo, just north of Central Avenue. No word yet on when the next trial will be scheduled. At sentencing, Syed faces life behind bars without parole for this first degree murder charge. His defense team says they plan to appeal the charge to the state supreme court, but plan to do so after the third murder trial has concluded. 2023-02-01
The blast, which destroyed a Sunni mosque inside a major police facility in the city of Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ![]() , was one of the deadliest attacks on Pak security forces in recent years. It left as many as 225 maimed, some still at death's door in hospital, according to Kashif Aftab Abbasi, a senior officer in Peshawar. More than 300 worshipers were praying in the mosque, with more approaching, when the bomber set off his explosives vest on Monday morning, officials said. The explosion blew off part of the roof, and what was left soon caved in, injuring many more, according to Zafar Khan, a police officer. Rescuers had to remove mounds of debris to reach worshipers still trapped under the rubble. More bodies were retrieved overnight and early Tuesday, according to Mohammad Asim, a government hospital front man in Peshawar, and several of those critically injured died. "Most of them were coppers," Asim said of the victims. Bilal Faizi, the chief rescue official, said rescue teams were still working Tuesday at the site as more people are believed trapped inside. Mourners were burying the victim at different graveyards in the city and elsewhere. Counter-terrorism police are investigating how the bomber was able to reach the mosque, which is in a walled compound, inside a high security zone with other government buildings. "Yes, it was a security lapse," said Ghulam Ali, the provincial governor in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, of which Peshawar is the capital. Abbasi, the official who gave the latest casualty tolls, concurred. "There was a security lapse and the inspector-general of the police has set up an inquiry committee, which will look into all aspects of the bombing," he said. "Action will be taken against those whose negligence" caused the attack. Talat Masood, a retired army general and senior security analyst said Monday's suicide kaboom showed "negligence."
