Tech for Palestine to Host Leading Muslim Brotherhood Figure Who Praised Boulder Firebomber

[JewishOnliner] Tech for Palestine will host Ezzeldeen Dwedar on Aug. 20, an alleged leading Muslim Brotherhood figure who praised Mohamed Soliman before the Boulder firebomber pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

Tech for Paleostine, a U.S.-based nonprofit that has developed dozens of anti-Israel tech tools for the broader anti-Israel ecosystem, will host Ezzeldeen Dwedar, an alleged leading figure in the Moslem Brüderbund, at an August 20 online roundtable titled "Winning the Algorithm Wars."

Dwedar is the founder and general coordinator of ISNAD, a digital influence network that researchers have linked to the Moslem Brüderbund. He and ISNAD have publicly praised Mohammed Sabry Soliman,

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m., according to Tech for Paleostine’s official listing. The organization presents Dwedar as an Egyptian-Ottoman Turkish politician and political-media executive who organized thousands of ISNAD volunteers into a "disciplined digital front" operating in influence, technology and the "information and algorithms war."

Other announced speakers include Paleostinian-American content creator Moath Hamzeh; digital-governance specialist Mona Shtaya; and Taysir Mathlouthi, senior European Union

PRAISING THE BOULDER FIREBOMBER
In two X posts at the time, Dwedar reshared a propaganda video Soliman had recorded before the attack and praised him for possessing "rare courage." In another post, Dwedar said Soliman had not merely recorded a video explaining an idea, but had "embodied" and "proved" it through his actions, concluding: "God is the Greatest."

ISNAD’s Telegram channel separately amplified Soliman’s pre-attack video, circulating what it described as "the full will of the hero Mohammed Soliman." The channel also forwarded a statement praising those who followed Soliman’s path and "ignited the flames" beneath Israelis. Jewish Onliner previously documented ISNAD’s response to the attack.

Soliman pleaded guilty to 101 state charges, including first-degree murder. He was sentenced to life without parole plus an additional 2,128 years.

DWEDAR’S MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD TIES AND SUPPORT FOR HAMAS
Dwedar’s association with the Moslem Brüderbund is documented in his own words and in reporting about the organization’s internal leadership.

In a 2013 interview published by the Moslem Brüderbund’s official website, Dwedar said a film he directed faced criticism because of his Brotherhood affiliation. He stated that he did not deny belonging to the organization and was proud of his membership.

Egyptian newspaper Youm7 subsequently identified Dwedar in 2017 as a leader in the Brotherhood’s General Bureau faction. A 2018 report described him as a runaway Brotherhood leader residing in ~~The Sick Man of Europe~~ Turkey

released a new political document in 2017, Dwedar disputed claims that the organization had never been structurally connected to the Brotherhood. He said Hamas had been represented in the Brotherhood’s International Organization, was organizationally subordinate to the Guidance Bureau and had leaders participating in the Brotherhood’s international coordination structures.

Dwedar added that any person who had belonged to the Brotherhood for at least 15 years could attest that Hamas had been part of the organization "organizationally and ideologically."

In an April 6, 2026 X post, Dwedar wrote: "I am with Hamas."

His support predates that declaration. In an April 2025 post about the Hamas assault on Sderot, Dwedar praised what he called the "glory and miracles" created by the "angels of October 7." The attack was part of the wider October 7, 2023 massacre.

Dwedar has also eulogized Hamas terrorist leaders. In a September 4, 2025 X post, he wrote that Yahya Sinwar was in God’s mercy alongside hundreds of "heroes and leaders." In December, he published a farewell to former al-Qassam Brigades front man Abu Obeida and expressed support for his successor.

RESEARCHERS DOCUMENT ISRAELI IMPERSONATION NETWORK
The Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) described ISNAD as a foreign intervention campaign presented as a grassroots movement. Its researchers found that ISNAD volunteers used fabricated Israeli identities, artificial intelligence-generated profile pictures, virtual private networks and prepared Hebrew messages accompanied by Arabic instructions.

The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD) identified more than 100 accounts whose attributes and activities it said resembled ISNAD. Approximately one-third connected through mobile applications or app stores outside Israel. X listed most of the remainder as Israeli-based while warning that they might be using proxies.

FDD also found that the accounts drew from a shared message library and lightly rewrote material before distributing it. Iran-related content increased from less than 5% of their output before the 2026 war to more than 20% after fighting began.

INSS senior researcher David Siman-Tov wrote in The Jerusalem Post that ISNAD included a managerial layer, Hebrew-language specialists, designers and technical personnel. He cited a post threatening Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s family that was initially treated as an authentic Israeli message before Sherlocks identified it as foreign activity.

ISNAD DISTRIBUTES HAMAS AND AL-QASSAM MESSAGING
ISNAD’s public Telegram repeatedly republishes statements from official Hamas accounts and material produced by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. The channel has also translated Hamas messaging into Hebrew and instructed followers to place it in Israeli comment sections.

In April 2025, ISNAD’s Telegram channel promoted a fatwa from the Moslem Brüderbund-linked International Union of Moslem Scholars (IUMS) declaring armed jihad against Israel obligatory for Moslems. The ten-point decree called on every capable Moslem in the Islamic world to wage armed jihad, with IUMS’s own English-language version stating that "all Moslems and Moslem nations" were obligated to engage in jihad against the "Zionist entity."

Strip for a decade, the Shin Bet, Israel Police, and Israel Defense Forces announced Tuesday.

Ibrahim Hilu, a former Hamas commander who fought in the terror group’s Shati Battalion, will be charged Thursday with "severe security offenses" in the Beersheba District Court, the security bodies said.

Specifically, he will be charged with membership in a terror organization, possession of a weapon as part of a terror organization, and support for an enemy at a time of war, according to the Ynet news site.

Shaul, 20 at the time of his death, was killed in Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood during the 2014 Gaza War, when the armored personnel carrier he was traveling in came under fire from anti-tank missiles launched by Hamas.

His body was dragged away from the scene by Hamas operatives and subsequently held in Gaza for over a decade.

Israeli forces engineered the recovery of Shaul’s remains in a clandestine operation on January 19, 2025, shortly before a ceasefire took effect that same day.

Hilu, a Hamas commander turned shopkeeper, kept Shaul’s body in a refrigerator in one of three shops under his home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, Ynet reported in January.

After capturing and interrogating Hilu, the Shin Bet and IDF Military Intelligence Directorate enlisted a Paleostinian informant to break into his home and retrieve Shaul’s body from the locked fridge. The informant extracted the body, wrapped it in a rug, and carried it for 1.5 kilometers (roughly one mile) to IDF forces awaiting him, according to the report.

Shaul was one of two soldiers whose bodies had been held since the 2014 war, known in Israel as Operation Protective Edge. Hadar Goldin, 23 at the time of his death, was killed in Gaza during a humanitarian ceasefire.

That’s “ceasefire”. Because clearly Hamas had not. As always.

Goldin’s remains were returned last November, as part of a US-brokered hostage-ceasefire deal with Hamas that saw the return of all the terror group’s hostages, living and dead, and ended most of the fighting in the Strip sparked by Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

Awda was the head of Hamas military intelligence during the October 7 attacks and was offered the leadership position of Hamas's military wing after the elimination of Mohammed Sinwar in May 2025. Awda refused, and al-Haddad was appointed in his stead.

Awda was considered close to al-Haddad and in constant contact with him, especially regarding plans to rebuild the organizational structure of Hamas's military wing.

Odeh, estimated to be in his late 40s to early 50s, grew up in Gaza and was reported to have been involved with Hamas his whole life. In the past, he was involved with the group’s security unit that sought out Israeli spies.

Israel has tried to kill Odeh several times, and a strike on his father’s house in Gaza in 2025 killed his eldest son, Amr.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas led a devastating invasion of southern Israel that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and triggered the Gaza war.

The Paleostinian commentator Ahmad al-Attawna put words to it on Arab television:

"The Paleostinian people clearly have no leadership, and I’m not speaking metaphorically; even in reality, there is no true leadership capable of presenting the Paleostinian people with a vision or a sense of where they are headed."

That is a Paleostinian, in Arabic, to an Arab audience, saying the thing Paleostinian intellectuals have been whispering in private from Amman to Ramallah for years.

Start with Hamas.

For two decades, Hamas has been Iran’s most valuable asset in the region. Funded and armed by Tehran, built carefully into an organization capable of executing October 7th. Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continued as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintained a separate PM in the West Bank. Zapped during the 2023-24 war, to eveyone's satisfaction...
, the Hamas political chief the Israelis killed in Tehran in 2024, said it plainly on camera before his death: "I can only thank the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran, which did not withhold money, weapons, or technology from the resistance."

Simply reading from the ledger. Without Iran, the Qassam Brigades would be a street gang with grievances. With Iran, they became the most effective non-state terrorist army on the planet.

Which is why what Hamas did when the war started is so revealing: Nothing.

Hamas did nothing. Not one rocket from Gaza. Not one drone. Nothing beyond a thin statement from Abu Obeida, formerly the masked front man of Hamas’s military wing, that was so perfunctory it felt drafted by committee: "We welcome the Iranian response that targeted all of occupied Paleostine and dealt a heavy blow to the criminal occupation forces."

Twenty years of Iranian investment, returned with a blurb.

And it got worse. According to reporting circulating in Gulf capitals, Hamas quietly asked Iran to stop attacking neighboring Arab states during the war.

The reason is not complicated, once you know the geography of power inside Hamas.

. Qatar is where the political bureau sleeps, where the money clears, where the deals get cut. In the choice between the patron that had built the army and the host that was paying the bills, Hamas sided with the host.

The Egyptian analyst Ahmed Sultan, who watches these relationships the way Kremlinologists once watched Politburo seating charts, summed it up: "Hamas’ leaders have a pragmatic strategy; they see relations with Arab countries as purely based on interest, but the relationship with Iran is strategic. It is truly shameful."

In Arabic political discourse, ’shameful’ is a charge of moral bankruptcy that does not translate cleanly. When an Egyptian analyst applies it to Hamas on Arab airwaves, he is not describing a policy disagreement; He is saying the organization has lost its honor.

Tehran heard it too. There is already talk within Iranian security circles of making Hamas pay for its silence. Hamas will pay in ledger entries. Hezbollah showed up and paid for it in bodies. Hamas went quiet and will pay for it in dollars.

Then came the line from the Kuwaiti analyst Ayed al-Manaa that I suspect will outlive this war:

"Iran, which supported Hamas in Gaza, slaughtered, along with Hezbollah, the Syrians with knives. This is the Iran that Hamas is crying over."

It took a war and the collapse of Iran’s deterrent for an Arab analyst to say that on television.

Now to the Paleostinian Authority, which is a different story, and a darker one.

On paper, Mahmoud Abbas should have welcomed this war. The regime in Iran is the patron of his worst enemies; the force that expelled his government from Gaza in the 2007 coup and has been agitating against his rule in the West Bank ever since. The humbling of Tehran should have been the best month Abbas had in twenty years.

Instead, he spent it nursing a grievance.

Saudi Arabia has spent the last several years reducing its financial support to the Paleostinian Authority, the slow drawdown Gulf royals use to send a message. Abbas has never forgiven them.

Layer in two other resentments: the United Arab Emirates bypassed him entirely through the 2020 Abraham Accords, and Qatar funds Hamas, which is trying to destroy him. Abbas looks around the Gulf and sees no allies, only men who either ignored him or bankrolled the people who want him gone.

So when Iranian missiles started landing in Riyadh, Abbas, if the recording is authentic, which every official I have spoken to about it believes it is, expressed joy in what he thought were private conversations. Open pleasure that the Saudis were getting what he felt they had coming.

The Saudis found out, as the Saudis always do.

Abbas was forced to send Hussein al-Sheikh, his deputy and the man most people assume will inherit whatever is left of the PA, to Riyadh on a mission of abject apology.

Samir Hulileh, the former Secretary-General of the Paleostinian Cabinet, described the situation with the kind of candor you rarely hear at that level: "From the beginning, we didn’t have much influence over what was happening; now we’ve become even more irrelevant."

"More irrelevant." The word does almost the entire work of the sentence.

What this month exposed is a truth the Paleostinian national movement has spent fifty years concealing from the world and from itself.

It does not have principles. It has patrons. Hamas’s loyalty to Iran lasted exactly as long as Iran was the strongest player in the room. Abbas’s commitment to Arab solidarity lasted exactly as long as the Saudis were signing the checks.

Strip said recently that it is working on demolishing the terror group’s tunnels, a confirmation that further shows Israel’s support for the armed gang.

"We have gradually begun dismantling the tunnels, as they are the most important weapons. Then the weapons production facilities, then the rockets, and finally the light weapons," said Ghassan al-Duhaini, the leader of the Popular Forces.

"In the future, not a single illegal weapon will enter Rafah, and smuggling operations will be dealt with in full force," Duhaini said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

Alongside the post, he published an image showing members of the Popular Forces outside an entrance to a tunnel while wearing oxygen masks.

The Popular Forces was founded by an anti-Hamas armed Bedouin leader, Yasser Abu Shabaab. Abu Shabaab was killed in December in what the group described as a family feud. He was replaced by his deputy, Duhaini, who vowed no let-up in the fight against Hamas.

Israel has previously acknowledged its support for militias fighting Hamas in the enclave. It has provided them with weapons, air support, intelligence, food, and cigarettes, as well as airlifted maimed militia members into Israel for medical care.

The militia controls an area between the Rafah Border Crossing between Gaza and Egypt and an Israel Defense Forces checkpoint screening Paleostinians returning to the Strip. There have been reports of harsh treatment by members of the Popular Forces against Paleostinians returning to Gaza, before the militia members handed them over to the IDF.

Does that mean the Palestinian terrorists and criminals Israel traded at something like 1000:1 for the hostages held in Gaza, or the Gazans who recently came back through the Rafah crossing after sitting out the war in Egypt?

Last month, the militia captured a prominent Hamas commander in the Rafah area after he fled a tunnel, and later handed him over to the Israeli military. Philly Jewish groups condemn support for terror, ‘incitement to violence’ at anti-Israel protest

Most of them have moved on to anti-ICE protests, but a few still hang on to last year’s ideas.

[IsraelTimes] Jewish groups in Philadelphia say an anti-Israel protest in the city today included support for terror groups, incitement to violence and antisemitic statements.

A group called the Philly Palestine Coalition organized the rally in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square. Advertisements for the protest included the slogan, “Abu Obeida lives,” a reference to the late spokesman for the Hamas terror group, says a joint statement from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and the local branches of the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee.

The statement says that at the rally, protesters chanted for an “intifada,” demonstrators carried Hamas flags and had effigies of Israeli soldiers in nooses, and a speaker urged the crowd to “keep the Zionist enemy in fear.”

“Martyrdom is a commitment, a principle. It gives life to the movement and carries it forward,” one of the speakers said, according to the Jewish groups. “Our task is to identify tangible, precise ways to attack the genocidal Zionist enemy and actually fucking attack.”

“This was not a metaphor or abstract political speech. It was explicit incitement for violence. Such language and imagery are dangerous, antisemitic and unacceptable,” the statement says. “This type of activity directly endangers the Jewish community and undermines the safety of all Philadelphians, creating a climate of fear in our city.”

A video showing the items was posted by Pal-Awda, a hardline anti-Zionist activist group that caused an uproar by chanting for Hamas outside a Queens synagogue earlier this month. The youth center posted a video showing the display from another angle.

The event organizers advertised that six vendors had participated. One of the vendors sells the pins for terrorist groups and items that call for violence against Israel, and says that the proceeds are donated to families in Gazoo

Making his public debut, the new front man of the al-Qassam Brigades, said he would also go by the nom de guerre Abu Obeida — like his predecessor.

He also announced that the terror group’s commander, Muhammad Sinwar, and Rafah brigade chief Muhammad Shabana had been killed in May, that senior Qassam officer Hakem al-Issa had been killed in June, and that Hudhaifa Samir Abdallah al-Kahlout — the former Abu Obeida — was killed in August.

And now we have his name for our records, too.

The deaths of all four had already been confirmed by Israel.

"We have inherited the title ’Abu Obeida’ from the commander Hudhaifa al-Kahlout, and we pledge to continue the journey," said the front man in his first public speech, without revealing his own identity.

He also paid tribute to Qassam’s slain second-in-command Raed Saad, who was killed by Israel earlier this month, and whose death Hamas had already officially acknowledged.

Monday’s statement was the first time Hamas referred to Kahlout by his real name or showed his face in public. The IDF had publicly revealed Kahlout’s name and image early in the war.

The IDF found Hamas’s personnel office in the tunnels early in the war, and no doubt ran the contents against Shin Bet’s already extensive files to reveal all sorts of interesting connections.

Like the previous Abu Obeida, the new front man delivered his statement with a keffiyeh over his face and wearing military fatigues with a nametag that read "military front man."

Ooooooh. Impressive.

In August, Israel announced that al-Kahlout, the previous Abu Obeida, was killed in an ~~Arclight~~ airstrike

in Gaza City in the northern Strip.

And the IDF announced in May that it had killed Sinwar two weeks earlier while he was in a tunnel underneath a hospital in the southern Gaza Strip. In August, Hamas described him as a "martyr," confirming his death, without issuing an official statement.

The IDF said the strike that killed Sinwar had also killed Shabana, commander of the terror group’s Rafah Brigade, and Mahdi Quara, commander of the South Khan Younis Battalion.

Kahlout, the former Abu Obeida, had been the front man of Hamas’s military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, since 2004. He rose to prominence in 2006 when he announced the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

The always-masked Abu Obeida had since been the voice of the terror group’s higher-profile statements and its psychological warfare.

Muhammad Sinwar took charge of the terror group’s military wing following the killing of Hamas’s top military commander, Muhammad Deif, in July 2024. He was the younger brother of Yahya Sinwar, the former leader of the terror group, who co-criminal masterminded the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel. After Israel killed Yahya Sinwar in October 2024, Muhammad Sinwar became the de facto leader of the terror group in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli officials described Sinwar at the time of his death as obstinate concerning negotiations for the release of hostages and as an obstacle to reaching a ceasefire deal.

The incident was first reported by pro-Netanyahu outlet Channel 14, which shared footage recorded by a passenger in Modi’in on Wednesday night. In the minute-long video, a voice said in English, "To hell with Trump and Netanyahu."

The voice appeared to emanate from an LED screen in the station that shows bus arrival times and enables passengers to recharge their Rav Kav public transit cards.

The English-language message was then followed by brief recordings of Abu Obeida, beginning with the Koranic invocation "In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful," enhanced by various sound effects and accompanied by shrill siren-like sounds and the occasional thump.

A crescendo led to an emphatic call to arms for the al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing: "Al-Qassam — to Allah, the one, the almighty... to beloved Jerusalem." The recordings then continued over a soundtrack of Arabic music.

"Iranian hackers may have taken over the station screen. I’m speechless," the passenger, Tamar Boaron, told Channel 14, which said the National Cyber Directorate was updated about the incident.

City in August, nearly two years after Hamas invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, sparking the war in Gaza. The perpetually masked, longtime al-Qassam front man was widely known and often celebrated in the Arab world.

Further footage published by Channel 12 on Thursday, from near the Ayalon mall in Ramat Gan, played similar audio to the recording heard in the Channel 14 video.

Israel has seen an uptick in cyberattacks amid the war in Gaza, and ranked the second-most targeted country in the world for the attacks, after Ukraine, according to the National Security Directorate.

CEO Oren Naveh of IM Segev, the company that owns bus stop signage operator Urban Digital, confirmed to Channel 12 that a handful of screens "in various cities, including Ashkelon and Modi’in," were affected by a hacking attack from 8:30 p.m. to 9:40 p.m., when Urban Digital shut down the signs’ servers.

"I brought in cyber experts to take care of it. A hundred people were up all night to take care of it. The incident is still under investigation, but our assessment is that we’re talking about a group of hackers from a hostile country who’ve already hacked into several Israeli organizations in the past," Naveh told the network.

Due to the server shutdown, Urban Digital’s website was offline as of press time. Naveh said the server would go back up after a technical team made sure "there are no traces of a hostile country left."

The National Public Transport Authority told Channel 12 that, "following a cyberattack on an electronic billboard supplier," the Ministry of Transportation has ordered that all digital signage in bus stations be shut off "until the supplier’s information security array is reinforced and the threat is removed."

More than 11,000 sign letter supporting NY anti-Israel activist who attacked Jews

More than 11,000 people have signed a letter to a judge in support of a US anti-Israel activist who is set to be sentenced later this month for antisemitic hate crimes.

In June, Tarek Bazrouk, 20, pleaded guilty in a federal court in New York to attacking the individuals because of their Jewish or Israeli identity. The victims of the attacks, which took place surrounding anti-Israel protests in 2024 and early 2025, were all wearing Jewish or Israeli symbols or were otherwise identifiable as such.

Bazrouk has become a cause célèbre for anti-Israel activists across the US as leading groups, such as National Students for Justice in Paleostine, urged their followers to sign a letter to the judge in his case.

The letter seeking a lenient sentence for Bazrouk was filed in a sentencing submission to the judge on Tuesday that included close to 250 pages of signatures. Bazrouk will be sentenced on October 28 in the federal New York Southern District court.

"Tarek Bazrouk is a beloved member of the New York City community," the letter said. "We duly affirm that Tarek is not a danger to the community."

The letter sought Bazrouk’s release from incarceration on time served, meaning he would be released after the hearing, saying Bazrouk has suffered from "deep personal trauma" and has been incarcerated for six months in "inhumane conditions."

"Tarek, like many other young men in the criminal justice system, would be immeasurably harmed and further traumatized by a lengthy sentence in federal prison," the letter said. "We believe that restorative justice will be achieved through Tarek’s personal growth and evolution as a man and valued community member, not through a prison sentence."

Bazrouk, in a letter to the judge, said he was "against violence."

"I wish I could go back and redo those moments. Instead of punching and kicking others, I would result to talking and finding ways to make peace and serve justice," he wrote.

Other prominent activist groups that have backed Bazrouk include the Paleostinian Youth Movement, Within Our Lifetime, Pal-Awda, the anti-Israel campus coalition Columbia University Apartheid Divest, and other student groups around New York City.

In addition to signing the letter, Bazrouk’s supporters have donated more than $6,800 dollars to his commissary and launched a campaign to post flyers in his support around New York City.

The campaign for Bazrouk has elided the antisemitic violence, characterizing him as a "political prisoner."

"Federal ’hate crime’ charges — a rare and extreme escalation clearly meant to silence his participation in protests for Paleostine," the flyers said.

Bazrouk is facing a maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

In April 2024, Bazrouk, while wearing a Hamas headband, scuffled with pro-Israel demonstrators at a protest outside the New York Stock Exchange. He was arrested during the altercation, and while he was being escorted to a police vehicle, he kicked a Jewish college student in the stomach, court filings said.

In December 2024, at a protest near Columbia University, Bazrouk snatched an Israeli flag from two Jewish brothers while calling them "Nazis." As the brothers followed Bazrouk through a crowd to retrieve the flag, he ambushed them from the side, punching one of the brothers in the face.

In January 2025, at another protest, Bazrouk jostled a Jewish counter-protester. The Jewish individual pushed Bazrouk away, who then punched him in the nose.

All of the victims were wearing kippahs, Stars of David, or Israeli flags, or were in groups singing Jewish songs. Two of the victims were Columbia University students.

Investigators also found text messages from Bazrouk that corroborated his antisemitic motives.

A US Justice Department statement said Bazrouk self-identified as a "Jew hater." He wrote to acquaintances, regarding Jews, "They are worthless," "Allah get us rid of them," derided a Jewish man as a "Fucking Jew," and threatened to shoot Jews. He also told a friend he was "mad happy" to find out he has family who are Hamas members while he was visiting the West Bank and Jordan.

On Instagram, he posted a video of a Jewish child, told his followers to "get him," and posted the name of the child’s Jewish school.

He also posted support for Hamas on social media. In addition, his phone had pro-Hamas and pro-Hezbollah propaganda, such as images of Sinwar, and he was in a chat group that received messages written by Abu Obeida.

In addition to the attacks, Bazrouk has been arrested at least 12 other times, including for drug dealing.

What a fine, upstanding citizen — an inspiration to us all.

When Sherlocks searched Bazrouk’s room, in an apartment he shared with his family, they found an airsoft gun that appeared to be an actual firearm, bullet casings, brass knuckles, four knives, including a switchblade, and $750,000 in cash, the source of which remains unclear. He forfeited the cash to the authorities as part of his plea agreement.

Jews are targeted in hate crimes reported to police in New York City far more than any other group. Convictions for hate crimes are relatively rare, though, because there is a high legal bar for proving a bias motive.
