Yemeni Rocket Debris Falling at Ben Gurion Airport Caught on Video
2025-05-05
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The moment when debris from a missile launched from Yemen fell near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, which could have happened during an attempt to shoot it down, was captured on video. The video was shared on social media on May 4.
Once again the Houthi missile was not permitted — by Allah via the IDF — to hit Israel. Debris from a missile destroyed before getting there goes into the failure column.

These images show debris falling from a great height to the ground and smoke rising from the site of its impact.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service confirmed that debris from a rocket from Yemen fell in the area of Tel Aviv airport during attempts to intercept it.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on May 2, fighters from the Yemeni Shiite movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) reported a missile strike on the Israeli Air Force base Ramat David, which is located in northern Israel. It was noted that a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile was used for this, which successfully hit the target.

Earlier, on April 13, the Houthis announced a massive missile attack on Israel. According to them, the Ben Gurion airport and the Sdot Micha military base, located east of Ashdod, were hit.

Tel Aviv Airport Reopens After Yemeni Missile Attack
Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport has resumed accepting and releasing flights after a rocket attack from Yemen. This was reported on May 4 by the state broadcaster Kan.

Following the missile attack, the use of airspace at the airport was suspended for about an hour.

In addition, train service between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem was resumed.
The Times of Israel adds:

Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. s impacted on the grounds of Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday morning, injuring six people, none of them seriously.

The blast occurred in a grove of trees alongside an access road close to the airport’s main Terminal 3, several hundred yards from the airport control tower.

IAF PROBE BLAMES ’PINPOINT TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION’
An Israeli Air Force probe into the failure to intercept the missile found that there was likely a technical malfunction with the interceptor itself.

"The initial findings indicate that no failure was found in the identification process, the operation of the interception systems, and the warning for the home front," the military said.

According to the preliminary investigation, which was led by IAF chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, there was likely a "pinpoint technical malfunction" with the Arrow interceptor launched at the Houthi missile from Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
The American THAAD system deployed to Israel also attempted to engage the Houthi missile, though its interceptor missed the target.

The military said that since the start of the war, it has shot down dozens of missiles launched from Yemen, with a successful interception rate of over 95%.

Though the airport returned to operation shortly after the incident, it sparked a wave of flight cancellations by foreign airlines, with more than 20 flights for Sunday and the coming days, from airlines including British Airways, Air India, the Lufthansa Group and United cancelled.

The Israeli national airline El Al said it was offering special prices to help get Israelis home from Cyprus and Greece and other nearby destinations who were stranded by the cancellations.

In a press statement on Sunday, Abu Obeida expressed his appreciation for what he described as Yemeni courage, saying that Yemen stands side by side with Paleostine in confronting the forces of injustice and continues to defy aggression despite the intense pressures it faces.

Abu Obeida added that the recent attack demonstrates the ability to bypass the world's most advanced defense systems to achieve precise target hits, praying to Allah to bless the Yemeni forces' efforts and accept their sacrifices.

On the other hand, Israeli media confirmed that the Israeli and American air defense systems, represented by the ''THAAD'' and ''Hatz'' systems, failed to intercept the missile launched by the Yemeni forces.

Israel's Channel 12 reported that the missile bypassed four layers of air defense before hitting its target in the heart of Ben Gurion Airport, creating a crater 25 meters deep. It noted that the warhead was large, triggering a widespread explosion.

According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the number of injured in the attack rose to eight. Media reports added that the earth-shattering kaboom caused extensive damage at the site and forced millions of Israelis to seek shelter.

The feats of our fighters from Beit Hanoun to Rafah are a source of pride, a military miracle, and a call up for the Umma's youths and forces, Abu Obeida said in a statement .

He added: ''Our fighters in the combat zones and defensive ambushes are ready for confrontation and have pledged to remain steadfast until victory or martyrdom.''

The Paleostinian resistance intensified its attacks on the Israeli occupation forces across Gaza Strip, inflicting more losses upon them.

In this context, al-Qassam Brigades announced that its fighters managed to snipe four Zionist occupation soldiers in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, leaving them dead or injured.

Israeli media outlets reported casualties among a special Army force in Rafah, South of Gaza, adding that 4 injured soldiers, including 3 seriously, have been evacuated.

The Zionist media also indicated that the deputy commander of a company was injured in an anti-armor fire in Rafah.

al-Quds Brigades also announced bombarding the Zionist enemy forces and vehicles stationed in al-Muntar Hill, east of Gaza City, with mortar shells.

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Hamas military spokesman announced that Al-Qassam Brigades fighters were able to retrieve a martyr who was tasked with securing Edan Alexander.

In a statement, Abu Obeida added that Edan's fate and the other fighters securing him remain unknown.

He added, ''We are trying to protect all captives and preserve their lives despite the brutality of the aggression. However, their lives are in danger due to the criminal bombing operations carried out by the enemy army.''

''The occupation lies in its claim of inhumane treatment of its prisoners and fabricates false testimonies from former prisoners, with the aim spreading false propaganda against the Palestinian resistance and covering up the scandal of its killing of a number of its own prisoners, and causing the continued suffering of the rest,'' Abu Obeida stressed.

Strip under which the terror group would have been required to disarm, according to a Tuesday report.
Ok. No truce, then.
According to the BBC, Israel is demanding the release of half of the remaining living hostages in exchange for a six-week truce and Hamas’s disarmament.

"The Israeli proposal relayed to the movement through Egypt explicitly called for the disarmament of Hamas without any Israeli commitment to end the war or withdraw from Gaza. Hamas therefore rejected the offer in its entirety," an official in the terror group was quoted as saying.

Israel has repeatedly demanded that Hamas relinquish civilian and security control of Gaza, while the terror group insists that any ceasefire deal must end the war and achieve a full Israeli pull-out from the enclave.

Hamas has long rejected talk of disarmament, though its officials have expressed willingness to give up control of the Strip to a transitional body of independent technocrats, such as the one envisioned in the Egyptian plan for the post-war reconstruction of Gaza that was unveiled last month.

Responding to recent reports of progress in ceasefire talks, an official from one of the Arab mediating countries told The Times of Israel on Monday that no breakthrough was currently on the horizon and that "the same elements that have prevented a deal until now are still in place."

"Hamas is not going to agree to a complete surrender, but that is still what Israel is demanding," the Arab official said, echoing an earlier statement from senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri
...a senior spokesman for Hamas. Zuhri gained notoriety in 2006 when he dropped his money belt containing somewhere between 640,000 and 900,000 euros, which was confiscated by Paleostinian security and customs officials at a routine border crossing from Egypt to Gaza. The news brought competing Hamas and Fatah forces to the crossing checkpoint for an epic face-making and hollering contest...
"Handing over the resistance’s weapons is a million red lines and is not subject to consideration, let alone discussion," Abu Zuhri said.

However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
he insisted that Hamas is "ready to hand over the hostages in one batch" in exchange for the end of the war and the withdrawal of the Israeli military from Gaza, confirming what a senior Hamas official told The Times of Israel earlier this month.

Israel and Hamas signed onto a phased ceasefire deal in January that fell apart after its first stage. Hamas wanted to transition to the second phase as stipulated in the agreement, but Israel sought to rework the terms to free additional hostages without committing to a permanent end to the war, as envisioned in the second phase. After Hamas refused, Israel resumed its offensive in Gaza on March 18.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has long refused to end the war before Hamas’s military and governing capabilities have been dismantled. He is backed by many of his hardline coalition partners who have threatened to collapse his government if he agrees to end the war, which was sparked by Hamas’s October 7 onslaught.

HAMAS: WE LOST CONTACT WITH EDAN ALEXANDER’S HANDLERS
They’ve tried that before but eventually the “lost” hostages were “found”. Hopefully this time they’ll be smart enought to stop playing stupid games more quickly.
Hamas, meanwhile, claimed on Tuesday to have lost contact with the bandidos Lions of Islam holding Israeli-American hostage soldier Edan Alexander in Gaza.

"We announce that we have lost contact with the team guarding soldier Edan Alexander following a direct Israeli bombardment targeting their location. We are still trying to reach them," said Hudhaifa Kahlout — known by the nom de guerre Abu Obeida — the front man for Hamas’s military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades.

"It seems that the occupation army is deliberately trying to kill him and hence relieve themselves from the pressure caused by the dual-citizen prisoners in order to continue its genocide against our people," Abu Obeida said.

The IDF has said that it does not carry out strikes in areas where it suspects hostages may be held by Hamas. Military officials have repeatedly said that every strike and ground operation in Gaza is carefully planned out not to endanger Israeli hostages. However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
the IDF has admitted in the past that the deaths of some hostages may have been linked to nearby Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s.

Alexander, a dual US-Israeli citizen, was stationed near the Gaza Strip on the morning of October 7, when he was taken captive by Hamas terrorists.

As the last remaining US citizen held hostage in Gaza, Alexander has been a key focus of the US-mediated ceasefire negotiations, with US President Donald Trump
...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried....
’s special envoy Steve Witkoff saying last month that gaining his release was a "top priority for us."

Last month, Hamas claimed it was willing to release Alexander along with the bodies of four other dual US-Israeli citizens, an offer that Israel slammed as "manipulation and psychological warfare" and said it would not agree to a deal that only saw Americans freed.

Hamas has published two propaganda videos of Alexander, the latest on Saturday, in which the captive, visibly gaunt, said that he heard the terror group was ready to release him three weeks ago and that the government and Netanyahu "refused and left me here." The statement was almost certainly dictated by his captors.

PM VISITS GAZA, VOWS HAMAS WILL SUFFER ’MORE AND MORE BLOWS’
On Tuesday, Netanyahu visited soldiers stationed in the northern Gaza Strip, where he told them that the terror group will suffer "more and more blows" by the IDF.

"We insist that it release our hostages, and we insist on achieving all our war aims," Netanyahu told assembled soldiers as drones flew overhead.

Holding a printout of a post by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...>
, Netanyahu said that he was again calling for Israel’s destruction.

"He is doing this during negotiations with the Americans," Netanyahu said, referring to the ongoing Iran-US talks over Tehran’s nuclear program, a process of which Israel is extremely wary.

Standing alongside Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel will never allow Hamas "to threaten our communities and our citizens, and therefore, the operation that is currently taking place is pressuring Hamas to first release the hostages."

"The more it persists in its refusal," Katz continued, "the more we will intensify the blows it will suffer until it is defeated and all the hostages are returned."

Hamas: We won’t move hostages from areas being targeted by IDF; Israel is responsible for their lives
2025-04-05
[IsraelTimes] The Hamas terror group says it will not be moving living Israeli hostages out of areas in the Gaza Strip that the IDF has ordered to be evacuated in recent days.

The IDF has issued evacuation orders for the entire Rafah area, Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood and other areas in the Strip’s north.

“Half of the living Israeli prisoners are located in areas in which the Israeli occupation army has requested to be evacuated in recent days,” claims Hudhaifa Kahlout — known by the nom de guerre Abu Obeida — the spokesman for Hamas’s military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades.

“We have decided not to transfer these prisoners from these areas, and to keep them under strict security measures, which are extremely dangerous to their lives,” Abu Obeida says in his statement, which is issued in Arabic, Hebrew and English.

He says that “if the enemy is concerned about the lives of these prisoners, they must immediately negotiate their evacuation or release.”

“The Netanyahu government bears full responsibility for the lives of the prisoners. Had they been concerned about them, they would have adhered to the agreement signed in January. Most of them would probably be in their homes today,” Abu Obeida adds.

Hamas has previously said it would execute hostages if Israeli troops are seen approaching areas where they are being held. In August, Hamas murdered six hostages in Rafah as Israeli forces were operating nearby.

CEASEFIRE OVER‐Israel Pounding Hamas Targets After Hostage Negotiations Fail
2025-03-18
[RedState] Israel's ceasefire with Hamas ended early Tuesday after repeated negotiations over Hamas releasing the remaining Israeli hostages failed once again.

Fighter jets began targeting terrorist strongholds in the Gaza Strip, according to the Israel Defense Forces—and they also indicated they will increase their use of force if necessary:

The attacks mark the end of a nearly two-month-long ceasefire during which the terror group released hostages in drib drab fashion, often tormenting them and humiliating them in front of crazed mobs as they handed them over to the Red Cross. Released prisoners described the horrific conditions they lived under, from torture to starvation. Meanwhile, some like the Bibas family weren’t even alive at all—they’d been killed by the sadistic fanatics.

This is a rapidly developing situation, and RedState will you updated with the latest developments.

IDF carries out mass strikes in Gaza 'ending ceasefire’

[Jpost] The White House confirmed it was consulted by Israel prior to the strikes.

The IDF and the Shin Bet are currently conducting extensive strikes on Hamas terror targets in Gaza, the military confirmed early Tuesday morning, aiming to achieve the war goals "as determined by the political echelon, including the release of all our hostages — living and dead."

The IDF has been instructed to act "forcefully" against Hamas in the Gaza Strip by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, the Prime Minister's Office announced.

"Israel will, from now on, act against Hamas with increasing military strength," the PMO said.

“Tonight we returned to fighting in Gaza in light of Hamas’ refusal to release the kidnapped and threats to harm IDF soldiers and Israeli communities," Katz said in a statement.

"If Hamas does not release all the kidnapped, the gates of hell will open in Gaza, and Hamas’ murderers and rapists will meet the IDF with forces they have never known before. We will not stop fighting until all the kidnapped return home and all the war’s goals are achieved."

An Israeli official said the strikes targeted mid-level Hamas commanders, senior officials in Hamas’ political wing and Hamas’ infrastructure, according to Axios.

The White House confirmed it was consulted by Israel prior to the strikes.

“Hamas, the Houthis, all those who seek to terrorize not just Israel but also the United States of America, will see a price to pay. All hell will break loose,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News.

As a result of the strikes, the Home Front Command has updated its security guidelines, and school has been canceled in the Gaza envelope.

This marks the first significant wave of attacks since the January ceasefire began and comes amid additional reports of attacks by the US and Israel across the Middle East.

ISRAELI ATTACKS WITH US BACKING
US President Donald Trump has previously stated that Israel would have the full support of the US in all attacks against Hamas.

Trump also stated that “Hell will rain down” on both Hamas and the Houthis and that Iran should be held responsible "and face dire consequences" for Houthi attacks.

Hamas warns hostages likely to be killed if fighting in Gaza resumes, is considering US offer for 60-day ceasefire in exchange for 10 living hostages
2025-03-07
[IsraelTimes] Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida warns that any Israeli military escalation against the Gaza terror group will most likely lead to the killing of some hostages.

He further adds that Israeli threats of war and blockade will not secure the release of hostages, and claims that the terror group is still committed to abiding by the truce deal with Israel, the first stage of which recently concluded.

Fifty-nine hostages are still being held in the Gaza Strip following the end of the first phase of the ceasefire, at least 35 of whom have been confirmed dead by the IDF.

Report: US offers Hamas 60-day ceasefire for 10 living hostages

[IsraelTimes] The US has offered Hamas a deal in which 10 living Israeli hostages would be released in exchange for a 60-day ceasefire, a Palestinian source tells Sky News Arabia on Thursday.

“Washington asked Hamas to release ten hostages… in exchange for extending the ceasefire for sixty days, starting negotiations on the second phase and the position of Israeli forces along the Philadelphi Corridor,” as well as resuming the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, the source says.

The source does not indicate when the offer was presented.

According to the source, “Hamas is still considering its response to the American proposal.”

Strip to be canceled and "let all hell break out."
All hostages? FAFO. Oh, and betcha those who took USAID’s thirty pieces of silver for the joint project of driving Bibi Netanyahu out of office in the name of their kidnapped children are sorry now that they pulled President Trump into it. His hardball is a lot harder for a lot of reasons.
Trump made the comments after signing executive orders in the Oval Office Monday evening.

When asked if he felt the ceasefire deal should be canceled, the president said that is "Israel's decision."

"If all the Gaza hostages aren't returned by Saturday at 12 p.m., I would say cancel the ceasefire," Trump said in the Oval Office. "Let all hell break out; Israel can override it."

Trump stressed that Hamas needs to release "all of them—not in drips and drabs."

"Saturday at 12pm and after that, I would say, all hell is going to break out," Trump said.

A Hamas spokesperson said Monday that the terrorist group will delay the next planned release of hostages in the Gaza Strip after accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement.

"Over the past three weeks, the resistance leadership has monitored the enemy's violations and failure to fulfill its obligations under the agreement; including the delay in allowing the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip, targeting them with direct shelling and gunfire in various areas across Gaza, and denying relief supplies of all kinds to enter as agreed, while the resistance has implemented all its obligations," Abu Obeida,

the spokesperson for Hamas' military wing, said.
Every single word a lie.
The Times of Israel adds:
Speaking to reporters, Trump conceded that Israel might want to override him on the ultimatum and the Saturday noon deadline, adding that he might speak to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. But expressed fears for the fates of those still being held captive, predicting that many would not survive if not released in the coming days.

The announcement prompted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to move up a planned meeting of his high-level security cabinet, and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the military on high alert.

NEW THREATS TO ARAB ALLIES
Trump also told reporters in the White House that he could withhold aid to Jordan and Egypt if they don’t take in Palestinian refugees he wants to relocate from Gaza.

Egypt and Jordan are longstanding security partners for Israel, and rely heavily on US defense and economic support.

“If they don’t agree I would conceivably withhold aid,” he said in response to a question suggesting it as a possibility.

Both Egypt and Jordan have joined the rest of the Arab world in rejecting Trump’s proposal for all Palestinians to leave Gaza and instead settle in other countries, allowing the US to take over the Strip and redevelop the piece of coastal real estate.

Trump is set to meet Jordan’s King Abdullah on Tuesday.

In comments to Fox News aired Monday, the US president said Palestinians would not be allowed to return to the Gaza Strip under his proposal to redevelop the war-torn territory, contradicting his own officials who insisted that Gazans would only be relocated temporarily.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who will depart later this week for his first visit to the Middle East in the office, said last week that Palestinians would have to “live somewhere else in the interim,” during reconstruction, although he declined to explicitly rule out their permanent displacement.

The State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the disparity between Rubio and Trump’s most recent remarks on the plan.

Rubio met Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty in Washington on Monday. Egypt’s foreign ministry said Abdelatty told Rubio that Arab countries support Palestinians in rejecting Trump’s plan. Cairo fears Palestinians could be forced across Egypt’s border with Gaza.

Trump said in the Fox News interview that between two and six communities could be built for the Palestinians “a little bit away from where they are, where all of this danger is.”

Six months later, Hamas officially admits Muhammad Deif killed by Israel

[IsraelTimes] Terror group also confirms deaths of other commanders in war; ICC expected to cancel arrest warrant it issued for Deif in November

Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
front man Abu Obeida confirmed in a video statement Thursday that Muhammad Deif, the once-elusive commander of the terror group’s military wing, had been killed in an Israeli strike over the summer.

The terror group’s announcement came more than six months after Deif’s killing in a July 13 Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
, with Hamas previously denying he had been killed.

Abu Obeida in his video statement also confirmed the deaths during the war of Marwan Issa, the deputy commander of Hamas’s military wing; Ghazi Abu Tama’a, head of combat support; Raad Thabet, the military wing chief of staff; Rafa’a Salameh, commander of the Khan Younis Brigade; Ayman Nofal, commander of the Central Gazoo

Brigade; and Ahmed Ghandour, commander of the Northern Gaza Brigade.

Hamas had previously only announced the deaths of Nofal and Ghandour.

Israel targeted Deif and Salameh in an airstrike on a Hamas compound, killing dozens in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis. The IDF confirmed Salameh’s death a day later, and Deif’s on August 1.

Until the July strike, Deif had survived seven Israeli attempts on his life over the years, some of which had maimed him.

According to a November report, Hamas was initially unable to confirm Deif’s death, partly due to the state of his badly disfigured remains. At the time, unnamed Hamas sources told the London-based, Saudi-owned Asharq al-Awsat paper that the group accepted that Deif had been killed, but Thursday’s statement marked the first time the organization officially acknowledged it.

The sources also told the paper at the time that two people had been arrested on suspicion of leading the IDF to Deif, including the slain military chief’s courier, who according to some reports had tipped the army off.

Despite the IDF announcing that it had killed Deif in August, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for him on November 21 along with warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant.

The ICC listed the charges against Deif as crimes against humanity of murder, extermination, torture and sexual violence as well as war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture, hostage-taking, outrages upon personal dignity and sexual violence.

As of Thursday evening, the ICC had not yet canceled the warrant. It previously dropped charges against Hamas leaders Ismail Haniyeh

and Yahya Sinwar after they were killed by Israel.

Netanyahu and Gallant were both charged with war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare and intentionally targeting a civilian population, and crimes against humanity of murder, persecution and other inhumane acts during the war in Gaza.

Deif, along with Hamas’s Gaza leader Sinwar, was an architect of Hamas’s October 7 massacre in southern Israel, when thousands of forces of Evil broke through the border and killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, while taking 251 people hostage to Gaza. He had topped Israel’s most-wanted list since 1995 for his involvement in the planning and execution of a large number of terror attacks, including many bus bombings in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Born as Muhammad Masri in 1965 in Khan Younis, the terror leader became known as Muhammad Deif after joining Hamas during the First Intifada, or Paleostinian uprising, which began in 1987.

He was arrested by Israel in 1989 and spent about 16 months in detention.

Rising up the Hamas ranks, Deif developed the group’s network of tunnels and its bomb-making expertise. He was held personally responsible by Israel for the deaths of dozens of Israelis in suicide kabooms in the 1990s.

The last known attempt to eliminate Deif before the successful one in July, according to the military, occurred in May 2021, when Israel and Gazook terror groups fought in an 11-day flare-up known as Operation Guardian of the Walls.

Prior to 2021, Israel had tried to kill Deif during the 2014 war in Gaza, but narrowly missed, instead killing his immediate family members.

Other liquidation attempts took place in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2006.
