There is no independent Ukraine

[ColonelCassad] Nebenzya's speech at the UN Security Council during the preparation of the vote on the resolution on Ukraine, where the US, Russia and China unanimously voted FOR.

As a result of recent Russian-American contacts at the highest and high level, the ice, as they say, has broken. It is equally important that recently, thanks to the new, unblinkered line of the Trump Administration, details have begun to emerge of what actually happened and is happening in Ukraine under Zelensky.

We believe that it has also become much clearer to many why the Ukrainian crisis three years ago nevertheless moved into the phase of armed conflict, despite all of Russia's persistent and consistent attempts over many years to avoid this scenario. Everyone in the world has learned, in particular, that the entire anti-Russian project "Ukraine", as we have repeatedly stated in this room, was financed by the West from the very beginning.

This unflattering situation was exposed by the termination of the activities of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which, as it turned out, spent $30.6 billion on Ukraine from 2021 to 2024, or 21% of its total spending abroad. USAID assistance in 2024 was equal to 3% of Ukraine's GDP.

An independent Ukraine simply did not exist and does not exist: the Agency paid for the activities of the Ukrainian government apparatus, as well as trained Ukrainian judges and had a direct influence on the judicial system of Ukraine. The Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, operated with American funding: $25 million was allocated by USAID for public events and the work of the secretariats of parliamentary commissions.

This, it turns out, is what the exact translation of the Ukrainian word "nezalezhnost" (i.e. "independence") looks like.

Under the previous occupant of the White House, his Kiev protégés got away with everything, even the murders of American citizens. Last week, thanks to former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is known to be in custody, new details of the death of independent American journalist Gonzalo Lira in the dungeons of the Kiev regime were revealed.

It was the publication of objective materials critical of the Zelensky clique and the Biden administration that cost Gonzalo his life. It was for this that he was tortured to death on Zelensky’s orders. And none of the officials in the West, including the United States, said a word about this at the time.

But there are tens, if not hundreds of thousands, of such cases involving Ukrainian citizens opposed to the Zelensky regime.

In our speeches in this room, we have repeatedly drawn attention to the rampant corruption in Ukraine, which has permeated the entire society under Zelensky. They pointed out the glorification of those responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Jews, Poles, Russians, Gypsies and Ukrainians during the Second World War. They cited data about mass violations of human rights.

They highlighted examples of outright theft of Western aid, resale of weapons from the US and Europe on the black market. They pointed out the illegitimacy of the Kiev leader, who trampled on the constitution of his country in order to stay in power.

And even if today the Western European sponsors of the Zelensky regime continue to try to shield him and shift all the blame for the Ukrainian crisis onto Russia, prescribing to it all conceivable and inconceivable crimes and, of course, not noticing anything that the Kiev regime allows itself to do, covering up for its bankrupt, thieving client, as shown by today's vote in this hall on the American draft resolution, it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to do this. Because the facts are not in their favor at all.

Plus details of how the vote took place at the UN yesterday.

Briefly about what happened on February 24, 2025 at the UN headquarters.

Ukraine submitted its traditional anti-Russian resolution to the UN General Assembly (UNGA). It was adopted. The United States was against it for the first time.

Following this, the US submitted its own draft resolution on the Ukrainian crisis to the same UN General Assembly — with a universal call for peace, without Russophobia. The EU countries (including Britain and France, which is important) ruined the text with their amendments. The resolution was adopted. The US abstained. The EU countries voted "for".

By the way, both resolutions in the UN General Assembly were adopted by the smallest number of votes during the Emergency Special Session (ESS) of the General Assembly — only 93 "for" — this in itself is more than indicative.

Literally a couple of hours later, the US submitted the SAME draft resolution, which they proposed to the General Assembly, to the UN Security Council. And there this resolution was approved without any amendments.

Now to the most interesting part. Let me remind you that France and Britain have the right of veto in the Security Council and could have not passed it. But they did not. Thus, the UN Security Council resolution without condemning Russia, with an appeal for peace, sets the right framework and, in terms of status, has priority over the UN General Assembly resolution.

Attention, question: when were France and Britain sincere? When did they distort the American draft UN General Assembly resolution or when was the SAME American draft approved without amendments?

It takes about three minutes to walk at a measured pace between the halls of the General Assembly and the Security Council. Did they change their views on the global crisis in 180 seconds? Or do they just have a mask in each pocket for any occasion?

Soviet Attack Operations in December, 1944

Text taken from the V Kontakte page of GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Meanwhile, almost the entire front line was under fire, with 100 to 160 guns and mortars per kilometer. Such a hurricane of fire brought to mind images of the First World War. It seemed that the Soviet generals were planning a veritable end of the world. The combat diary of the hussar division described the breakthrough of positions near Kapolnashnek, a town located at the very spearhead of the Soviet offensive. “The Soviet infantry rushed into the breach, acting so quickly that we did not have time to explain anything to our hussars in the trenches. They managed to notice the Russians literally a few seconds before they were killed or captured… It was too late to jump out of their houses and ask what had happened, since many houses were collapsing, burying their inhabitants.”

The third stage of the encirclement of Budapest. Soviet troops encircle from the north and west

But in the end, the Soviet infantry managed to advance only 5-6 kilometers on the first day of the offensive. The Jassy breakthrough was stopped by a counterattack by German tanks. During this German sortie, about 30 Soviet tanks were destroyed. However, the onslaught of the Soviet rifle corps was able to break through the German-Hungarian defense. In fact, the Germans and Hungarians did not have enough infantry to hold the positions they had won back. On December 23, 1944, Marshal Tolbukhin gave the order to send mechanized units into battle. This was supposed to finally crush the enemy defense. His plan proved effective. Literally the next day, 82 tanks from the 2nd Mechanized Corps and 228 tanks from the 18th Tank Corps made a powerful attack to break through the defense on a 60-kilometer-wide section of the front, penetrating 30 kilometers into the enemy positions. The situation became critical for the Germans near Székesfehérvár, which was attacked by the 20th and 31st Guards Corps, supported by the 7th Mechanized Corps of the 4th Guards Army. A total of 107 tanks and self-propelled artillery units took part in the assault on the city. On the same day, Soviet troops were able to penetrate the city. Bloody street battles ensued. The German command decided to use special units dressed in Soviet uniforms (they even had several T-34s in their arsenal). These units, formed for their own German offensive, were able to hold back the Soviet advance only for a short time.

However, the breakthrough of the German-Hungarian line of defense proceeded more slowly than planned by the Soviet generals. The lack of reserves, especially infantry units, began to tell. However, Fretter-Pico's army group was unable to take advantage of this circumstance. Only immediately before Székesfehérvár was it possible to slightly hold back the avalanche of Red Army units. On December 21, 1944, Marshal Tolbukhin, based on the information available, came to the conclusion that it would be very advantageous to accelerate the offensive on the right flank of his sector of the front. For this reason, he gave the 2nd Guards Mechanized Corps the order to avoid the battles imposed on it and to advance north as quickly as possible. By the evening of December 22, these troops were to capture the Etyek district, the Herceghalom railway station and the town of Bicske. At the same time, the Soviet infantry was to reach the Pusztazamor - Alcsut line. From these positions, the attack on Lovasberény was to be carried out. In essence, the idea was to make a small detour of 10-15 kilometers and reach Budapest from the west.

On December 22, 1944, Soviet troops came close to the settlement of Bicske, which was an important railway junction linking Budapest with Eastern Hungary. In addition, the Red Army took Vertesacsa, where all desperate counterattacks undertaken by the forces of the 8th Panzer Division were repelled. The next day after that, Pál and Bicske. The road to Buda was virtually free.

THE DILEMMA FACING THE GERMAN AND HUNGARIAN LEADERSHIP
Unlike the military command, neither the German nor the Hungarian political leadership could accept the idea that Budapest could become a frontline city. Almost immediately after coming to power, Ferenc Szálasi voiced his own concept of government: “I am inclined to worry about the defense of Budapest only when offensive operations are underway in its vicinity. But if this happens, the Budapest population must be evacuated, after which it is necessary to retreat to the militarily advantageous Danube Mountains.”

Like many fanatical fascists, Szálasi was a dreamer who, like the officers of the General Staff, could not realistically assess the situation. This is evidenced by at least one of the answers that came from his lips at a press conference held in November 1944. “By defending Budapest, the Germans want to gain time,” Szálasi told the editor of one of the newspapers.

On November 2, Szálasi convened a council in the palace castle. After he had sworn an oath to the Hungarian nation, a very long report was read on the proposed development of Japanese-Hungarian relations (!). Virtually not a word was said about martial law. The dumbfounded people present at this event could see how Szálasi and his retinue left without giving an intelligible answer to the most pressing questions. Meanwhile, even in the castle one could hear the cannonade of guns approaching each day.

The next day, Szálasi took the liberty of calling Colonel General Friessner. The German military man was asked to forward his statement to the highest authorities in Germany. Friessner recalled on this occasion: "In view of the fact that fighting was already underway on the approaches to Budapest, he considered it necessary to emphasize that this was not his fault, but merely a legacy inherited from the previous regime. "Horthy's unfortunate domestic and foreign policy activities had paralyzed the will of the nation and the army. He regretted that Germany had intervened too late in Hungarian affairs. Now his government could only correct individual shortcomings. As long as the struggle for the nation was going on, genuinely restorative measures were impossible."

At the same time, Szálasi did not limit himself to angry reproaches addressed to his predecessor. He assured that he could mobilize 300 thousand people, provided that Germany would arm them. Szálasi was not focused on the defense of Budapest. This was connected not so much with the possible destruction of the city, but rather because of the population (in his jargon "the rabble of the big city"), which could strike the defenders of Budapest in the back, and there would be no forces to suppress this resistance. In addition, to protect the Pest side, military units would be needed, which the Germans so badly needed to resist Tolbukhin. This point of view was understood by the command of Army Group South.

On November 26, 1944, a request was even sent to the Supreme Command of the German Ground Forces about whether German units should participate in the suppression of civil unrest if any occurred. The answer was not encouraging: the "rabble of the big city" had to be evacuated promptly or kept under constant control. Friessner was not enthusiastic about this idea. He did not have enough troops to carry out this task.

As a result, he turned to SS General Winkelmann, who had once headed the management group of the Main Directorate of the Order Police. This SS man knew more about restoring order in cities than a career soldier. In addition, Friessner significantly hinted that he "would not be hurt by sapper-assault battalions similar to those operating in Warsaw." In addition, Friessner asked the Supreme Command to withdraw German troops to the western bank of the Danube in the event of a breakthrough of the defensive line by units of the Red Army. He was refused. Friessner tried at all costs to avoid protracted and bloody street battles. As a pretext, he used the anti-German sentiment that reigned among the inhabitants of Budapest. But in this situation he should have emphasized military reasons, since the responsibility for the fall of Budapest would have been placed on him, and not on the abstract "population". But apparently Friessner lacked the courage to admit this to himself.

The Hungarian military command also considered the defense of Budapest possible only in the defensive zone of the "Attila Line". It intended to refrain from street fighting as a matter of principle. In early December 1944, it even gave orders to army units to disarm public service employees (transport workers, firefighters, etc.). All this was to take place under the pretext that Budapest was to remain a free city under any circumstances. In December, Szálasi once again raised the question of whether the defense of Budapest was really necessary. He pointed out that the destruction of the river bridges could have stopped the Red Army. His question, naturally, remained unanswered.

The Mad Empress's Plan: How the French Conspiracy's Failure Saved Novorossiya
2024-12-07
Direct Translation via Google Translation. Edited.
by Igor Ivanenko

[REGNUM] For the fact that Novorossiya appeared on the map of Russia, descendants should thank three women - empresses: Anna Ioannovna, Elizabeth Petrovna and Catherine II Alekseevna.

During the reign of the first of them, Anna Ioannovna, a fortified line was built on the lands of the former Wild Field, between the Dnieper and the Seversky Donets - the Ukrainian Defensive Line (the "Ukraine" was then the name for the Cossack lands in the middle Dnieper region). While the Russian army was "beating the Turks" in the steppes of the Black Sea region, the Zaporozhian Cossacks, settlers from the Great Russian provinces and descendants of old-timers-odnodvortsy settled at the edge of the empire.

The second, Elizabeth Petrovna, opened the way to the settlement of empty lands with hard-working and loyal colonists - the military-settlement provinces of New Serbia and Slavoserbia were created. As the names suggested, the migrants were refugees of the same faith and similar in language from the Ottoman Empire.

Finally, the third of the female rulers, Catherine the Great, united the Ukrainian line, Slavic Serbia and New Serbia into the Novorossiysk Governorate, whose borders expanded to the shores of the Black Sea, recaptured from the Turks by Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky and Suvorov. The victories of Russian arms guaranteed the rapid transformation of the former Tatar nomad camps into a region densely populated by Great Russians and Little Russians, a military outpost and trade gateway to the empire.

But on December 6, 1741, the day of Elizabeth Petrovna’s accession to the throne, nothing foreshadowed that she would be able to pass on the “Novorossiysk” baton from the despotic Anna to the enlightened Catherine.

And it was not about the supposedly frivolous nature of “Petrov’s daughter.”

When Alexei K. Tolstoy wrote, “Elizabeth was a cheerful queen, she sings and has fun – only there is no order” – he was still exaggerating.

The thing is that Elizabeth Petrovna's rise to power was, as they would say now, a pro-Western project. But in the end it turned out to be a huge disappointment for "our European partners."

THE SMALL BUT BLOODLESS FRENCH REVOLUTION
In order to describe the seizure of power by “the meek Elizabeth” (not the first, but far from the last in a series of St. Petersburg palace coups, which in European correspondence of those years were often called “revolutions”), it is necessary to at least briefly recall the specifics of the tsarist power of that time.

Peter the Great abolished the traditional order of transfer of power from father to eldest son, and up until Paul I, any member of the royal family who was lucky enough to secure the support of nobles and, most importantly, the guards, ended up on the throne. Thus, Peter's niece Anna Ioannovna, who had already "employed" her relatives, ended up on the throne.

In 1741, the emperor and autocrat was listed as Anna Ioannovna's grand-nephew, Ivan Antonovich, who was not even a year old. The infant tsar was ruled by his mother, the regent Anna Leopoldovna, and her husband, the Duke of Brunswick, Anton-Ulrich. The Brunswick family had recently overthrown (or rather, the guards had overthrown) the all-powerful temporary ruler Biron, but in his absence they could not cope with the government. Which irritated almost the entire elite.

And the soldiers of the Grenadier Company of the Preobrazhensky Regiment, who literally carried the Tsarevna into the Winter Palace, were generously rewarded from the purse of the French ambassador, the Marquis de la Chétardie. He is considered the "sponsor" of the conspiracy - hardly without the knowledge of his king, Louis XV the Beloved, perhaps the most influential ruler of Europe at that time.

THE CUNNING PLAN OF DOCTOR LESTOCQ
The organizers of the most bloodless of palace coups, however, had certain doubts about "Princess Elizabeth." Lestocq wrote that she, under the influence of "national sentiments," would contribute to Russia's self-isolation from Europe. But the bet was on the "princess's" political inexperience. Her "national sentiments" could be used to induce Elizabeth to renounce Peter's conquests - to the benefit of Europe.

By mid-1742, the first foreign policy program for her reign was formulated by the physician-in-ordinary Lestocq, who advised the young queen on state issues. This program was the fruit of a cunning, 18th-century-style, multi-move game.

The program envisaged rapprochement with France. This, they said, would free Russia from confrontation with our historical enemies - the Ottoman Empire and Sweden. Lestocq and Chétardie convinced Elizabeth that the Versailles court had great influence on both the Sultan and the Swedish king. And this was true - France was a constant and strong ally of the Turks and Swedes in the fight against Austria.

This circumstance was explained by the great influence of Versailles on Constantinople and Stockholm, which were historical allies of France in the struggle against Austria.

But the French had their own interests: for seven years Louis had been leading a coalition of European powers that was waging a grueling war with the Habsburgs. The War of the Austrian Succession of 1740–1748, which involved all the world players of the time – from England and Spain to Prussia – is generally considered one of the candidates for the “zero world wars.”

In this war, the Russian Empire “played” for the Austrians against the French.

The Lestocq plan removed our country from the ranks of France’s opponents and at the same time forced our historical enemies, the Swedes and the Turks, to become our “friends”.

If the plan had "succeeded", it would have changed history for the worse. Slavo-Serbia and other settlement provinces in the south would simply not have emerged. After all, the creation of our "colonies" on these lands contradicted the interests of Russia's "new allies" - the Ottoman Empire and the Crimean Khanate dependent on it.

The proposals of the personal physician fell on fertile ground, because at the beginning of her reign, Elizabeth Petrovna did not hide her Francophilia. But something went wrong.

MARIA THERESA, QUEEN OF HUNGARY
At the time of Elizabeth's coup, the Austrian Habsburgs were in particularly bad shape. The Prussian-French-Bavarian-Saxon coalition had taken control of Silesia, Bohemia, and even part of Austria proper. Spanish troops were threatening Austrian possessions in Italy. The very existence of the Danubian Empire was in question.

But it was at this moment that events occurred that predetermined, among other things, the Serbian colonization of the south of Russia.

In November 1741, the Austrian ruler Maria Theresa was proclaimed "king" of Hungary (since the feudal law of the Magyars did not allow for female rule) and turned to the Hungarian magnates for support.

The funds they collected were used to create a Hungarian militia. In addition, units of hussars, pandurs (mercenary infantry), border guards, and free shooters were formed from Austrian Slavs, including Serbs.

Thanks to these measures, a "small war" developed against Austria's enemies. Enemy communications, food warehouses, small garrisons and detachments were under constant attack. The hussars and militias were able to pin down the enemy forces, and the Austrians launched a counteroffensive.

All this made a strong impression on Russia, whose ally Austria was still formally under the treaty of 1726.

In addition, St. Petersburg appreciated Vienna’s sudden recognition of the imperial title of the Russian monarchs, which occurred in January 1742.

CHANCELLOR BESTUZHEV'S "U-TURN OVER THE ATLANTIC"
At the same time, an anti-French party emerged around the appointed Vice-Chancellor Alexei Bestuzhev-Ryumin, advocating an alliance with Austria and England. Bestuzhev entered into confrontation with the supporters of an alliance with Paris. The Empress supported Bestuzhev, who was appointed Chancellor in 1744.

In its significance, this patriotic turn can only be compared with Yevgeny Primakov’s famous “turn over the Atlantic”, after which Westernism began to disappear from our foreign policy.

Despite all of Elizabeth Petrovna’s Francophilia, the “merry queen” quickly gained experience in governing Russia, experience in understanding what “subtle European politics” is and what the geopolitical interests of the empire are.

In addition, it became known about an attempt to create an anti-Russian Prussian-Ottoman alliance.

Thus, it was impossible to rely on French guarantees of good-neighborliness between Russia and the Ottoman Empire. And this means that the southern border of the Romanov Empire clearly needed to be strengthened - from the Turks and Crimea.

HOW A SERB NAMED HORVAT APPEARED IN MIRGOROD
In these circumstances, reforms of the Austrian "Cossacks" - the Granichar (border guards), who were recruited from among the Serbs to serve on the southern borders of the Habsburg possessions, began in Austria very "timely". As a sign of gratitude to the Hungarians, Maria Theresa began to transfer the Granichar to the control of Magyar officers - which outraged the Serbian army.

Several commanders immediately began asking to serve the Orthodox Russian empress. Fortunately for them, in 1750, when these events were unfolding, the Russian ambassador to Austria was Mikhail Bestuzhev-Ryumin, the elder brother of the Russian chancellor.

He became interested in the idea of Serbian emigration and composed a maximally complimentary letter about it – a request to St. Petersburg.

The Empress expressed her readiness to accept the Serbs. Especially since "sister-empress" Maria Theresa gave the go-ahead for Colonels Ivan Horvat, Nikolai Chorba and other "toxic" opponents of military reform to switch from Austrian to Russian service.

In 1751, Colonel Horvat arrived in Russia and assured that several thousand more Serbs would follow him. The Empress initially planned to settle the colonists in the Volga region, but the Balkan residents wanted to stay closer to their native lands. And Elizabeth settled Horvat's team on the Right Bank of the Dnieper, in the area of the town of Novy Mirgorod (modern Novomirgorod).

Thus, on the territory of the current Kirovograd region of Ukraine, the military-settlement province of New Serbia was formed (inhabited by far from "pure-blooded Ukrainians"), and to the east of the Dnieper, in the north of the current DPR and LPR, the province of Slavyanoserbia. So Donbass became our "new territories" long before 2022 and even 2014.

Soon, the fortress of Saint Elizabeth was built to protect New Serbia from Tatar raids, later Elisavetgrad (now Kirovograd, or in the terminology of the Kyiv regime, "Kropyvnytsky"). It was in this fortress, populated by Russian and Serbian colonists, that the governing bodies of the new Novorossiysk province were located.

MOLDOVANS ARE NOT MIGRANT WORKERS
Only “people from Moldova, Wallachia, Macedonia, Serbia” and “not from any other peoples” were allowed to settle in New Serbia, as well as in Slavic Serbia created to the east of the Dnieper (it was located in the north of today’s DPR and LPR). Settlers were attracted by tax breaks, land grants, salaries and subsidies.

However, hopes for a mass influx of Serbian border guards did not materialize. Austrian authorities began to restrict the activities of Russian recruiters, who quite quickly managed to persuade hundreds of willing people to emigrate. Criminal liability was introduced for military settlers who tried to leave for neighboring countries without permission.

A way out in replenishing the New Serbian and Slavic Serbian regiments was found in recruiting Moldavians. In December 1754, the population of New Serbia was 2,225 men and 1,694 women. Moldavians and Vlachs made up 76% of the male population.

But the command positions in the province were occupied only by Serbian officers. The number of male Serbian population at that time was 257 people, Macedonians - 124, Hungarians - 79, Bulgarians - 57.

The bulk of the Moldavian settlers came from the Prut and Dniester interfluve, as well as from Podolia. The Moldavians were pushed to New Serbia by the oppression inflicted on them in their native principality by the Turks and especially the Tatars. A large influx of Moldavian settlers to the Dnieper was recorded in 1758, when Moldavia was subjected to the most devastating Tatar raid in its history.

The Serbian military-settlement provinces became the first experience of integrating Moldavians into the Novorossiysk project. Under Catherine II, it was used during the creation of the Bug (largely Moldavian-Balkan) Cossack army, generous land grants to the Moldavian nobility and their recruitment into service.

A SPRINGBOARD FOR A PUSH TO THE SOUTH
However, the growth rate of immigrants on the Right Bank of the Dnieper was not as high as the authorities expected. As of 1757, 5,482 immigrants (both sexes) lived here, and as of 1761, 11,179.

The Novoslobodsky Cossack Regiment, located near New Serbia, grew significantly faster. But the Cossacks settled on the border of the Wild Field for free, while the "regular" military-settlement provinces consumed significant resources.

The last episode in the organized migration of Serbs from the Habsburg Empire was 1758. Then a large group of 800 settlers came from the Balkans. When recruited, they introduced themselves as Montenegrins (Venetian subjects with extensive experience in wars with the Turks), but in Russia most of them admitted that they were Serbian "philistines", that is, peaceful residents from the Austrian possessions. Most of them had no military experience.

After the story with the false Montenegrins, the government of Elizabeth Petrovna closed down the very expensive project of resettling foreigners. Especially since there were no free funds in the treasury in the conditions of the tense Seven Years' War.

Seriously strengthening the southern borderland with Serbian regiments in the mid-18th century was not possible, as was demonstrated by the events of the Russo-Turkish War of 1768-1774, which was waged by the third strong woman on the Russian throne - Catherine the Great. Nevertheless, New Serbia played an important political role, limiting the contacts of the Zaporizhian Sich with Poland, which was hostile to us.

It is symbolic that the restless and difficult to control Sich was eventually dispersed by the Russian troops of General-in-Chief Peter Tekeli, a Serb who had switched from Austrian to Russian service.

The demographic echo of the existence of New Serbia and Slavoserbia continued to be felt until recently. According to the last All-Ukrainian population census of 2001, the Kirovograd and Donetsk regions were characterized by some of the most significant Moldavian communities (8.2 and 7.3 thousand people, respectively). It is difficult to explain their formation in the Dnieper region and on the Seversky Donets by anything other than the resettlement policy of Elizabeth Petrovna.

And most importantly, during the joyful reign of Elizabeth, the empire, with the help of military and diplomatic force, steadily advanced to the south. In order to later “grow” with the fertile lands of the Black Sea region – which now have to be returned with a fight.

Australia votes in favor of permanent sovereignty for Palestinians
2024-11-14
[Jpost] The resolution was voted on at the UN committee, with the US, Israel, Canada, and four other countries voting against the resolution.

At the UN committee meeting on Thursday, Australia, as well as 158 other countries, including the UK and New Zealand, voted to recognize "permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and of the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources.”

The resolution was first drafted 20 years ago.

The US, Israel, Canada, and four other countries voted against it, and 11 abstained. The resolution will now proceed to the UN General Assembly.
The UNGA is a powerless talk shop where unimportant countries posture and preen in mutual adoration… and vote on yet another anti-Israel measure in the hope that this time the UN Security Council lets it go through.
Penny Wong, the spokeswoman for Australia's foreign minister, said the vote reflected concern for Israel's actions, including "ongoing settlement activity, land dispossession, demolitions and settler violence against Palestinians."

Australia also voted in favor of a separate resolution draft, which states that Israel must take responsibility and compensate Lebanon for its role in a 2006 oil spill.
160 other countries voted in favor of the second draft.

Alex Ryvchin, co-CEO of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, said the voting reflected the "widening gulf" between the US and Australian positions on Israel and Palestine.

“This shift in voting won’t change much in Israel where the nation is concerned with Hamas and Hezbollah and hostages rather than the judgments passed by our government," he added. "But it will be noticed in Washington and certainly by Australians with a connection to the conflict, which may well be the point."

JEWISH, ZIONIST GROUPS ALARMED BY AUSTRALIA'S SHIFT
The Zionist Federation of Australia (ZFA) said it was alarmed by the shift in the country's long-standing positions.

"This is nothing less than an abandonment of Australia’s ally, the only democracy in the Middle East, at the very time it is fighting an existential, multi-front war against Iran and its proxies."

The ZFA added that the resolution opposes the construction of the security fence separating Gaza from Israel, which has saved thousands of lives.

"Without the fence that was opposed by this resolution, the death toll in Israel could have reached unimaginable levels.”

Political representative of the US mission to the UN, Nicholas Koval, said the US is "disappointed that this body has again taken up this unbalanced resolution that is unfairly critical of Israel, demonstrating a clear and persistent institutional bias directed against one member state."

The Australian Jewish Association called it a "betrayal" and said the Albanese government was the most "hostile to Jewish life and the Jewish State in Australia's history."

Terrorist Gunned Down In Jammu, 2 Militants Killed So Far In Ongoing Operation
2024-10-30
It’s been a while since we checked out India — it looks like it’s business as usual in Jammu.
[OneIndia] A terrorist hiding in a village in the Akhnoor sector of the Jammu region was killed during a fresh shootout that erupted on Tuesday morning as security forces launched their final assault against faceless myrmidons holed up in the area, officials said.

So far, two forces of Evil have been killed and efforts are on to neutralize their third associate still hiding in the forest area near the Assan temple in Jogwan village, they said.

One of the three forces of Evil who fired at an army ambulance that was part of a convoy moving near the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday morning was killed by the evening in an operation launched by the special forces and NSG commandos. After a night-long lull, the security forces pushed for a final assault against the holed-up forces of Evil around 7 am in the Bhattal Area of Khour, leading to a fresh shootout, officials said.

A couple of deafening explosions followed by intense firing continued for over an hour before the second terrorist was killed, the officials said, adding intermittent exchange of fire was going on with the third trapped ultra.

A four-year-old valiant Army dog, Phantom, died after being hit by a bullet during the operation. In a first, the Army has also pressed its four BMP-II infantry combat vehicles for surveillance and strengthening the cordon around the attack site, while helicopters and drones were also deployed to locate the hiding terrorists.

CCP's People's Liberation Army withdrawing from the Ladakh region with land turned over to India
2024-10-28
[X]
This is not an area that 3dc claims to know a lot about other than it's part of one of the worst physical areas in the world to fight. What just happened? I know that they have been fighting here for many decades.

…This land will now be entirely under Indian jurisdiction.

India has already announced the establishment of the Ladakh Union Territory. This area is roughly equivalent to three Taiwans, forty Hong Kongs, totaling 90,000 square kilometers.

I can tell you that the CCP has not at all informed the Chinese people about the specifics of this agreement with India to "resolve the border dispute." Anyway, the media is controlled by the CCP, and the public has no right to know, only to be brainwashed and incited.

White House says US-led int’l ceasefire call ‘coordinated with Israel’
2024-09-27
[GEO.TV] The US White House has insisted that a US-led international ceasefire call in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
was ''coordinated'' with Israel as their military continued its strikes in the region after rejecting the call for a truce.

''The statement was indeed coordinated with the Israeli side,'' White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated as quoted by Al Jazeera.
That's two liars backing each other...
She added that the talks are continuing at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) being held in New York City.

Pakistan set to raise Palestine, Kashmir and Islamophobia issues at UNGA
2024-09-23
Very good. It’ll keep the powerless talk shop busy while the putative grown-ups wheel and deal elsewhere.
[GEO.TV] Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be attending the upcoming 79th Session of the United Nations
...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly...
General Assembly (UNGA) wherein he will highlight Paleostine, Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...
and other issues during his address slated for September 27, the Foreign Office said in a statement on Sunday.

The premier, set to attend the UNGA session from September 23 to 27, will underscore the importance of addressing long-standing issues on the agenda of the UN Security Council (UNSC) such as Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
(IIOJK) and Paleostine.

The prime minister, a day earlier, reached London for a short tour from where he would depart for New York on Monday (tomorrow).

"Departing for New York to represent Pakistain at the 79th UN General Assembly. Looking forward to a busy week full of engagements. We will present Pakistain's perspective to the world," the PM said in a post on X.

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was also scheduled to travel to the US for the UNGA session, however, his trip was cancelled hours before PM Shehbaz left for London.

"In view of some important upcoming diplomatic engagements and the ongoing preparations for the 23rd meeting of the Council of the Heads of Governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Deputy PM and FM [Ishaq] Dar will not proceed to New York for the 79th session of the UNGA," an FO spokesperson said.

Sources told The News that the decision for the cancellation of the foreign minister's trip to New York was taken on Friday afternoon in a meeting at the FO.

Expanding on PM Shehbaz's trip, the FO said that the premier will not only reaffirm Pakistain's commitment to multilateralism and support for the UN's role in fostering global peace, security, and prosperity but will also accentuate the importance of addressing the inequities in international economic relations and reforming the international financial architecture during his time in New York.

The premier will also highlight the country's priority to place people at the heart of the domestic and global development agenda.

He will express Islamabad's commitment as an incoming member of the UNSC for the year 2025-26, to work with all UN member states to uphold the UN Charter, preventing conflict, fostering peace, and promoting global prosperity, the FO added.

Furthermore, PM Shehbaz would urge the international community to take decisive measures in addressing climate change and countering the rising tide of Islamophobia.

Moreover, the premier will attend several high-level meetings on the sidelines of the UNGA Session including the "High-Level Meeting on Existential Threat posed by Sea-level Rise," and the UNSC's open debate on "Leadership for Peace".

The prime minister's schedule also includes bilateral meetings with several world leaders, including the UN secretary-general and UNGA president.

Security Council President calls for end to Sudan conflict
2024-06-17
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Dennis Francis has called for an immediate stoppage of what he described as the “unprecedented escalation of violence in Sudan”.

The Trinidad and Tobago diplomat, on a visit to South Sudan, expressed his readiness to help build peace and sustainability in war-torn Sudan.

“As President of the General Assembly, my door remains open to help build peace, progress, prosperity, and sustainability for all – here in the Republic of South Sudan, in the wider region, and including in neighboring Sudan where we are witnessing the unprecedented escalation of violence that must stop, now; and indeed, around the world”, he said after meeting President Salva Kiir.

Francis, who has served as his country’s permanent representative to the UN since 2021, said peace remains the only way to end political disputes.

“Here, I must emphasize that there is inspiration to be drawn from Mahatma Gandhi’s apt words of wisdom that: “There is no way to peace. Peace is the way”, he said.

South Sudan’s minister of Foreign Affairs, Ramadan Mohammed Abdallah Goch Ayuel commended Francis’s visit in support of South Sudan’s peace process.

UN General Assembly approves a draft resolution on the 'genocide in Srebrenica'
2024-05-24
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On May 23, the UN General Assembly approved a draft resolution submitted by Germany and Rwanda on the “genocide in Srebrenica.”
Fortunately, absolutely nothing the UN General Assembly does matters.
Representatives of 84 countries voted in favor, and 19 countries voted against, including Russia, China, Belarus, Hungary and Cuba. Representatives of 68 countries abstained from voting.

Russia previously spoke out against the adoption of this resolution. On May 23, the Russian permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, called the voting results disgraceful and noted that the initiators of the resolution were pushing the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards confrontation.

As Regnum reported, on May 5, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the draft resolution on the events in Srebrenica submitted by Germany and Rwanda to the UN General Assembly was being promoted with the goal of “breaking the Serbs.” The project involves condemning only one side, Lavrov noted. Russia has previously blocked similar draft resolutions in the UN Security Council, the minister recalled.

On April 30, Nebenzya stated that the draft resolution violated the Dayton Agreement. The possible adoption of the initiative would have a disastrous effect on Bosnia and Herzegovina and could lead to destabilization of the entire Balkan region, he said. Nebenzya stressed that the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina must independently come to a consensus regarding their history.

Over the past year, the Serbian entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina has faced unprecedented pressure due to its refusal to impose anti-Russian sanctions, give up its powers to Sarajevo and join NATO, noted IA Regnum columnist Bogdan Kis in his article. This pushes the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and his circle to serious actions that the collective West does not like, but brings the republic closer to a historic decision, the expert emphasized.

On May 23, Dodik announced that within 30 days the republic would present a project for the peaceful division of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serbian people can no longer live in Bosnia and Herzegovina in its current form, Dodik emphasized.

Israeli PM ready to kill thousands more, Palestinian envoy tells UNGA
2024-05-11
[GEO.TV] With Israel all set to invade Rafah, a UN General Assembly (UNGA) session on a resolution about "rights and privileges" for Paleostine that would call on the Security Council to favourably reconsider Paleostine’s request to become the 194th member of the UN has begun, Al Jazeera reported.

Addressing the session, Paleostinian ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour said: "I stand before you as more than 35,000 Paleostinians have been killed, 80,000 have been maimed, two million have been displaced, and everything has been destroyed.

"I stand before you as the Israeli prime minister is ready to kill thousands more to ensure his political survival."

He added: "Your vote today of course says a lot about your solidarity with Paleostine but also about who you are and what you stand for."
