These regions are controlled by factions of the First Military District, which is loyal to Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, a leading figure in al-Islah.

Observers view the announcement of this movement in Seiyun as a clear message from al-Islah to curb the ambitions of the UAE-backed Southern Translation Council (STC), which has failed since August 2022 to fully control Hadhramaut Valley after declaring "Operation Arrows of the East."

Saudi-backed militias block streets in Taiz

Foreign-backed mercenaries abduct prominent sheikh in Shabwah

[HODHODYEMENNEWS] Gunmen of the UAE-funded ''Al-Amaliqa'' factions kidnapped on Saturday one of the most prominent religious sheikhs in the Bayhan district of Shabwah province, which is under the control of the factions.

The sources added that the faction leaders accused Sheikh Jabr of teaching people magic in order to enchant one of the Salafist sheikhs loyal to them called ''Waddah al-Mathah.

Local sources in the district said, ''Armed men on board six military vehicles belonging to the al-Amaliqa factions stormed the house of Sheikh Abdulqadir Ateq Jabr and kidnapped him from his family after surrounding his house.'' Sheikh Khabar was threatened with death and forced to write his last will to his sons, with weapons over his head.

The sources added that the faction leaders accused Sheikh Jabr of teaching people magic in order to enchant one of the Salafist sheikhs loyal to them called ''Waddah al-Mathah.''

Some local notables in Bayhan intervened and pressed on the al-Amaliqa leaders to release Sheikh Jabr, according to the sources.

Al-Islah mercenaries hired by business owners have violent confrontation between rival groups

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Fierce festivities erupted in the center of Taiz city between mercenaries loyal to Saudi-led aggression coalition, resulting in casualties, pro-aggression media outlets reported on Sunday.

According to local sources, the festivities began due to a dispute between the "Al-Naqib and al-Zuqari" electricity companies, which escalated into when the owners of the two companies hired gunnies to settle the dispute between them.

The sources confirmed that the mercenary leader, Hamam Marai, affiliated with the Islah Party, launched an attack on the al-Naqib company.

After the attack, the company owner hired button men from the same factions, leading to ~~violent~~ mostly peaceful mostly peaceful confrontations between the hired elements. This spilled over into confrontations between the hired elements in residential neighborhoods in Tahrir al-Asafal and spread to the streets leading to al-Dabua area.

According to the sources, the festivities resulted in the deaths of two people and several injuries, in addition to causing panic and fear among civilians.

Taiz has been experiencing an unprecedented state of chaos and security breakdown due to the proliferation of armed gangs and wanted individuals belonging to pro-aggression military brigades.
