Government Corruption
Urban progressives blast the unsafe cities that THEY created
2023-08-14
[NYPOST] The capital of the most powerful and prosperous country to ever grace Earth is an unpleasant — even unlivable — place to call home.
I recall driving up South Capital Street. The Capitol itself looked just magnificent, a beautiful piece of architecture. My destination was usually on the left, I Street SW, where I was in love with three absolutely lovely girls sharing an apartment in a high rise, splitting the three hundred dollar a month rent. On the right were the crime-ridden slums of Anacostia. The contrast was pretty striking. That was back in 1969.
Over the past decade, Washington, DC, has transformed from a beautiful, bustling and vibrant metropolis into a city that often feels like a rip-off of Batman’s Gotham.
I believe the mayor back then might have been Walter Washington.
Between 2013 and 2019, DC recorded between 104 and 166 homicides per year.
Back in '69 there were still places you wouldn't go without an armored vehicle.
In the three full years since, it’s recorded 198, 223 and 203 murders. This year, it’s on pace to bear witness to 256.
The old Washington Star used to have the habit of reporting crime and identifying perps by race, almost all of them black. That was kinda natural since residents of both D.C. and Hershey, Pennsylvania referred to their towns as "Chocolate Town, USA," though for entirely different reasons. D.C. was about 66 percent black.
All this has been accompanied by skyrocketing crime rates across the board.
It is forbidden to discuss factors in common among them.
The capital has already far eclipsed the staggering number of carjackings that took place there last year.
"Anarchy does not mean chaos," or so they say. It doesn't mean peace, quiet, and security either.
Worse yet, only 80 arrests have been made in connection with 2023’s 606 carjackings so far.
Somehow there aren't any DNA samples, fingerprints, eye witnesses or video of any other incidents.
Prospects are so bleak that Trayon White Sr., a Democratic city councilman who originally voted to lower the criminal penalties for a number of serious infractions — including carjacking and armed carjacking — is now calling for the National Guard’s intervention in the carnage.
Probably he won't call for repeal of his stupid bit of legislation.
Imagine telling someone in June 2020, amidst the gnashing of teeth that accompanied Sen. Tom Cotton’s call for the National Guard’s use then, that a little over three years later, Democrats would be pining for the same.
Calling for someone else to solve the problems they created? I was only in the Army for twenty years. I never had the authority to arrest anyone. I never shot an American citizen that I'm aware of.
“I am tired of burying our children,” White told the press this week.
Sadly, they're not tired of killing each other. They live in a subculture where "That boy's crazy" is exclaimed with admiration. Children grow to adulthood with no more accomplishment than being dangerous. I recall overhearing one conversation that started "When that boy walked into that police station with a .38 they really noticed him..." I believe the outcome was that the coppers shot back and blew him away, but they did notice him. Had he walked in with a degree in mechanical engineering who would have heard about it? Have you ever heard someone laugh and say “Dat's boy's accomplished!"
“We are too comfortable with the state of our city. We must take action to gain control and protect our residents.”
It's only been 54 years. The years included Marion "The bitch set me up" Barry, who was reelected when he got out of jail.
The violence and liberal backlash to it are hardly contained to the capital.
Did that start before or after they defunded the police and painted "Black Lives Matter" on Independence Avenue?
Oakland is on track to double the number of assaults and triple the number of carjackings cases in the city from 2019.
Oakland, for the geographically challenged, is the seedy sister city of San "Poopville" Francisco. Besides its dope addicts and homeless, San Francisco has the Mark Hopkins, Chinatown, Cable Cars, and Fisherman's Wharf. Oakland has... dope addicts and homeless.
Its NAACP chapter has minced no words in assigning blame for this sorry state of affairs. “Failed leadership, including the movement to defund the police, our District Attorney’s unwillingness to charge and prosecute people who murder and commit life-threatening serious crimes, and the proliferation of anti-police rhetoric have created a heyday for Oakland criminals,” asserted the progressive group in a letter.
Who was it that wanted to defund the police in the first place? My guess would be crooks, but I'm an aged, retired fart, not a criminologist.
“People are moving out of Oakland in droves. They are afraid to venture out of their homes to go to work, shop, or dine.”
The usual solution to situations like that is to tax those remaining.
This spring, even Al Sharpton — he of “No justice, no peace!” fame — ripped his fellow progressives for their reticence to take the crime epidemic seriously. “Anybody that tells you they’re progressive but don’t care about dealing with violent crimes are not,” declared Sharpton. “You’re labeled progressive, but your action is regressive.”
Tawana Brawley agrees.
All this follows Eric Adams’ ascension to Gracie Mansion on the strength of his tough-on-crime image in 2021 and San Francisco’s ejection of progressive prosecutor Chesa Boudin last year.
How'd that work out for ya?
To be fair, it turned out that Mayor Adams lied about being tough on crime. Who could have expected that?
As the Golden City’s bleeding-heart liberal mayor London Breed put it in a famous rant in late 2021, it’s time for “the reign of criminals who are destroying our city” to end.
Hope abode briefly in every heart but the bad guys'.
Both she and law enforcement, she said, needed to be “less tolerant of all the bullsh-t that has destroyed our city.”
So what happens to people who poop on the sidewalk?
Hear, hear.
Or are they exempt because that's not bullshit?
Breed’s fellow progressives may be late to notice the rampant lawlessness rendering America’s cities unrecognizable, but their change in heart should nonetheless be celebrated.
Yay. Hooray. Whoopdy doo. Does that mean you can't poop on the sidewalk anymore? Can't jack a car? Can't get high sitting on the sidewalk in front of one of the remaining nice places?
The hard truth is that because urban electorates will not so much as give Republican candidates a second look, Democrats will need to lay the groundwork for urban revival in most cases — at least over the short term.
I'm trying to get my jaw back up. It dropped when I read that.
City dwellers should be optimistic about progressives’ increasingly firm grip on reality regarding the state of their streets, then — but only cautiously so.
They should? They are? How're things in Baltimore? Chicago? Is Minneapolis still run by a student council? Is Philthadelphia rounding up gangsters and putting them into long term storage? Has San Francisco reopened Alcatraz?
As Mayor Adams has shown, there are limits to the power of tough talk.
Two words: Alvin Bragg.
Polling last month showed 70% of New Yorkers are still “very” or “somewhat” concerned that they may soon be the name behind another crime statistic.
Sounds like all that tough talk is working as expected.

NIA court issues non-bailable warrants against 23 Kishtwar terrorists
2023-04-27

A NIA Court has issued non-bailable warrants against 23 Lions of Islam of Kishtwar district who have been operating from Pakistain.

They had joined different terrorist organizations and then crossed to Pakistain from where they started operating to revive terrorism in Chenab valley, as per the sources.

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
the security agencies and civil administration has taken a tough stance, and has constituted different teams to identify properties of 23 terrorists. These properties will be attached.

"The CIO-DySP PC Kishtwar has sought the indulgence of this court for issuance of non-bailable warrants against the accused persons....," reads an order copy.

It further says that: "Inter-alia on the ground that their names have been surfaced during the course of investigation in FIR number 90 of 2022 at Police Station Chatroo under section 13/18/39 UA (P) Act, 1967, 120B/121-A IPC, 1860, presently working as operatives of HM/(HuJI
Founded in 1984 by Fazlur Rehman Khalil and Qari Saifullah Aktar. The Bangla branch was established in 1992 with assistance from Osama bin Laden. Recruits come mostly from Deobandi madrassahs. HuJI and Fazlur Rehman Khalil are signators of bin Laden's declaration of war on civilization.
)/LeT/HUI outfits and involved in anti-national activities from across the border into Indian Territory for carryout out terrorist attack."

Since the involvement of all the persons has surfaced in the FIR Number 90 of 2022 at Police Station Chatroo, the presence of all the accused persons during the course of investigation and during the trial also is mandatory, the order quoting the police report reads further.

Therefore, the non-bailable warrants were issued against the 23 Lions of Islam and sent to SSP Kishtwar and SHO Chatroo for execution and compliance.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth had turned a paler shade of blue. Star-A-Star had struck again...
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal said that: "36 individuals after joining terrorism had crossed to Pakistain, and accordingly, FIRs were registered against them in Kishtwar. Earlier, we had taken non-bailable warrants against 13 people involved in terrorism and now, we have taken non-bailable warrants against 23 Lions of Islam operating from Pakistain."

After taking their non-bailable warrants, the SSP said that: "We want to arrest them. As they are in Pakistain, we have issued a red-corner notice. We have also initiated a process to involve an inter-poll to execute the warrants against these 23 terrorists."

"There is an international law by involving an inter-poll that Pakistain will be compelled to produce the 23 Lions of Islam as they were supposed to do so and if not, Pakistain will get exposed before the world (for its duplicity)," he said.

He further said that the administration has constituted different teams to identify the properties of these 23 terrorists, while the properties of 13 other Lions of Islam have already been identified. After the identification of the properties belonging to terrorists, they will be seized by the police.

Still, I think Trump’s presidency from 2017-2021 is grossly underrated, particularly regarding his outstanding record in foreign policy achievements. As a Trump skeptic when he was running back int 2015 and 2016 I would never in a million years have expected him to be an outstanding president in foreign policy, but he was. Perhaps the best since Ronald Reagan, and certainly the best since George H.W. Bush.

Trump was absolutely hated by our European allies, and equally hated by our international adversaries. That created the illusion that Trump was a terrible foreign policy president. Generally speaking, when everybody hates you it is easy to assume that you are doing something wrong.

Yet Trump was hated because he was doing almost everything right. His advice to Europe was 100% correct: he insisted that Russia was the bad guy and that it was insane to trust Putin to maintain the flow of natural gas in a crisis. He was literally laughed at by the Germans, who every day regret their reliance on Russia for energy (in)security.

Further, Trump pushed European leaders to invest in their military power. How did their neglecting investing in military power work out for them? Trump, again, was right. And his failure to convince was no worse than under Obama or Bush.

Trump identified China and Iran as particularly important security threats, and

I have the most tattooed privates in the world — it hurts but I'm brave
2022-08-07
[NYPOST] She’s inked a new record.
Alert the media!
A British OnlyFans star says she has the most heavily tattooed vagina in the world, with an artist needing five separate sessions to needle her labia.
Boy, howdy. That's a resume entry to be envied by all.
Over the years, Becky Holt, 34, has spent more than $42,000 on a tattoo "bodysuit" with artworks adorning her entire frame, from her face to her feet.
Worth every farthing, I'm sure.
The blonde made sure not to neglect her pubic region, and recently sought to have the sensitive area inked — despite an intense amount of agony it caused.
Well, sure. Having your pee-pee needled is great fun, despite the pain. I sometimes whack mine with a two-by-four. That's fun, too, despite the pain.
You misspelt because of, Fred.
"I was in an incredible amount of pain," Holt told Ark Media of the fifth and final ink session that she underwent on July 5.
I once saw a picture of a woman who had "Glory!" tattooed around her bung hole. I've been trying to forget ever since.
"It’s quite embarrassing having a tattoo artist between your legs but it needed to be finished as I want my body suit to be fully complete," the mom-of-one added.
Embarrassment and pain. Who could ask for more? And just think what her "body suit" is gonna look like when she's 75.

Varanasi blasts: Terrorist Waliullah Khan sentenced to death
2022-06-08
[OneIndia] A local court on Monday sentenced terror convict Waliullah Khan to death for serial blasts in Varanasi that killed at least 20 people 16 years back.

District Sessions Judge Jitendra Kumar Sinha convicted Khan on Saturday but had held back the pronouncement on the quantum of punishment for the blasts in 2006 at Varanasi's Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple and a railway station.

On Monday, Khan was brought to the district court from Dasna Jail under tight security, overseen by a deputy superintendent of police.

The court also sentenced Khan to life imprisonment on an attempt to murder charge and ordered him to pay fines. The death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
will have to be confirmed by the Allahabad High Court.

A special task force had claimed in 2006 that Khan was linked to Bangladesh-based terror outfit Harkat-ul-Jehad al-Islami
...(HuJI), along with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) one of the Deobandi jihad groups set up by Pakistan’s ISI to drive the Soviets out of Afghanistan, after which the Bangladeshi branch sent Al Qaeda big turban Muhammad Ilyas Kashmiri to lead its Jammu & Kashmir effort. After he met an inquisitive American Predator, some Taliban big turban took over the assignment. HuJI not only lends personnel to LeT and JeM, but provided ministers to the first Taliban government as well...
and was the criminal mastermind behind the blasts.

The first blast took place at 6.15 pm on March 7, 2006 inside the crowded Sankat Mochan temple in the Lanka cop shoppe area. After 15 minutes, a bomb went kaboom! outside the first-class retiring room at Varanasi Cantonment railway station.

At least 20 people were killed and about 100 injured in the two explosions.

The same day, a pressure cooker bomb was also found near the railings of a railway crossing in Dashashwamedh cop shoppe area.

Khan was convicted in two cases lodged under the Indian Penal Code sections of murder and attempt to murder, and under the Explosives Act, district government counsel Rajesh Sharma earlier told PTI.

He was acquitted in a third case due to lack of evidence, he said.

Lawyers in Varanasi had refused to plead the case and the Allahabad High Court transferred it to the Ghaziabad district court.

In all three cases, 121 witnesses were produced before the court.

Man who tried to run over firefighter released on zero bail
2022-01-14

[ALPHANEWS.ORG] A Minneapolis man who attempted to run over a firefighter with his vehicle was released from custody Monday with zero bail required by Hennepin County Judge Regina Chu.

According to a criminal complaint, 52-year-old Shawn Coates was following a woman in his pickup truck when she approached a Minneapolis fire station for help. One of the firefighters on duty directed the woman to "go into the fire station for safety" and told Coates to "move on."

Coates didn’t take this well. He called the firefighter a "motherf—," began spinning his tires, and eventually tried to run over the firefighter with his truck.

"Defendant actually turned the vehicle to Victim’s direction and drove his vehicle into the fire station garage doors. Victim had to move out of the way and step behind a garage door pillar to not be hit. Firefighters had to use an axe and other tools to disable the vehicle to stop Defendant from driving," the criminal complaint says.

But Coates didn’t stop there. He got out of his crashed vehicle, entered the fire station, and "squared up" to fight a fire captain. It was at this point that he was tackled to the ground by one of the first responders.

"You guys are pieces of s—, I’m coming back for you," he shouted as a group of firefighters pinned him to the ground.

Coates continued to demonstrate erratic behavior after his arrest and was heard "yelling loudly inside the jail through the heavy jail walls and door." It took several deputies to "hold and detain him," the complaint states.

Judge Chu decided to release Coates from custody Monday with zero bail required, Crime Watch Minneapolis first reported. Coates has been charged with two counts of attempted fourth-degree assault, one count of threats of violence, and one count of third-degree damage to property.

Chu is best known for presiding over the manslaughter trial of former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter. This is not the first time the Hennepin County judge has released violent mostly peaceful criminals back onto the streets. Earlier this month, she temporarily released a man from jail so he could attend a funeral, but he never came back.

New York Subway Bomber Sentenced to Life in Prison
2021-04-23
Good. May the rest of his life be exceedingly uncomfortable.
[AnNahar] A Bangladeshi immigrant was sentenced to life in a U.S. prison Thursday for a botched attempt to unleash carnage with a kaboom in a crowded New York subway passage in the name of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group.

Akayed Ullah
...the very connected lone wolf who belonged to the Al Qaeda-linked Masjid Nur al-Islam mosque in Brooklyn...
maimed himself and three other people in the December 11, 2017 blast in a tunnel below the Port Authority bus terminal near Times Square.

The bomb, which he strapped to his body with zip wires, failed to detonate as planned, and Ullah was left with burns to his torso and hands. His victims suffered minor complaints such as ringing in their ears and headaches.

The explosion sowed panic and disrupted the Monday morning commute during the busy Christmas tourism season, six weeks after a truck driver, also reportedly inspired by IS, killed eight people on a bike path.

Ullah, who migrated to the United States in 2011, was found guilty on all six counts by a Manhattan jury on November 6, 2018.

The 31-year-old's convictions include supporting a foreign terrorist organization, using a weapon of mass destruction and bombing a public place.

Judge Richard Sullivan said that although Ullah "ultimately failed" in the execution of the attack, it didn't make him "less culpable."

"Your conduct was truly heinous. This is about as bad a crime as there is," he said, handing down the life sentence.

Ullah's defense counsel had called for the mandatory minimum sentence of 35 years.

Ullah said what he had done was "wrong."
"Because I failed, Infidel"
"I can tell you from the bottom of my heart I am deeply sorry for what I did," he told the sentencing hearing.

Ullah was caught on CCTV walking through the subway terminal and detonating the bomb strapped to his body. After his arrest, he allegedly told authorities: "I did it for the Islamic State."

Ullah, a lawful permanent resident of the United States, built the bomb in his apartment, packing the device with metal screws and Christmas tree lights, having planned the attack for several weeks.

On the morning of the bombing, Ullah posted a statement on Facebook referring to the U.S. president saying: "Trump you failed to protect your nation."

A chilling handwritten note saying "O America die in your rage" was found, along with metal pipes, wires and screws in his home, prosecutors said.

Ullah began to radicalize in 2014, three years after moving to the United States, by watching IS propaganda online before starting to research how to make bombs a year ago, officials said.

Prosecutors said he opposed US government policies in the Middle East and wanted to terrorize as many people as possible, deliberately choosing a week day when the area would be most crowded.
Benar News adds:
The Dec. 11, 2017, explosion in a passageway connecting the subway station at Times Square to New York’s Port Authority bus station, occurred less than two weeks after IS released a propaganda video, "Flames of War II." In it, leaders called on supporters to carry out attacks in the United States.

One day after the bombing, Ullah’s wife, Ferdous Jui, was questioned by police in Dhaka.

She said her husband, who had been living in Brooklyn, N.Y., since 2011, visited Bangladesh in early September 2017, months after she gave birth to their son.

He made the trip to arrange U.S. immigration papers for his family, officials said.
So the family lied when they said he went home to visit a Rohingya refugee camp to conduct charity work? How unexpected. Still, he had to know by then what he planned to do. What did he think the American authorities would do to his family afterward?
According to Bangladeshi police, Ferdous Jui told them that her husband may have been influenced by sermons and writings of radical Moslem preacher Jasim Uddin Rahmani.
Her husband told her to look into what the man had to say, which was a strong hint. Mufti Muhammad Jasimuddin Rahmani has been behind bars since he was arrested in 2013. Inspired by Anwar al-Awlaki, his followers include members of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al Islami (HuJI) and Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh. He was connected to JMB by marriage...
The preacher is the imprisoned leader of a banned Bangladeshi murderous Moslem group, Ansar al-Islam, also known as Ansarullah Bangla Team.
Ansar-al-Islam is the name they took when they became the Bangladeshi branch of Al Qaeda in the India Subcontinent. They’re notorious for murdering secular Bangladeshi bloggers and writers. In 2017 an ABT man was arrested in India for recruiting for ISIS, which might explain why our miscreant insisted so strongly his dastardly deed was dedicated to ISIS rather than Al Qaeda...
The prosecutor questioned Ullah’s remorse, noting that he proudly boasted about carrying out the attack in the name of IS.

The prosecution’s sentencing memo also showed that Ullah remained radicalized and issued threats following his arrest.

"You started this war, we will finish it. More is coming, you’ll see," he told a corrections officer, according to the memo.

The NIA are still working this case dating back to 2012.
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has filed a chargesheet in connection with a Lashkar-e-Tayiba conspiracy case.

The NIA filed the chargesheet against, Dr. Sabeel Ahmed alias Motu Doctor of Bengaluru and Assadullah Khan of Hyderabad.

The case pertains to the conspiracy hatched by the members of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Harkat-ul-Jihadi Islami to commit subversive activities and wage war against Government of India.

They had procured illegal arms and ammunition for assassinations of important personalities of Hindu community in Bangalore and Hubli in Karnataka, Nanded in Maharashtra and in Hyderabad, Telangana to disturb the communal harmony and strike terror in society.

Investigation established that accused persons Dr.Sabeel Ahmed and Asadulla Khan are members of proscribed terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Tayiba. They were involved in criminal conspiracy along with other accused persons in supporting and furthering the cause of outfit in Damam and Riyadh, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
. They had actively participated in conspiracy meetings in which terrorist activities like assassinations of important personalities of Hindu community in Bangalore and Hubli in Karnataka and Nanded in Maharashtra were planned.

The background:

Dr Motu was a mysterious character when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) started its probe into an liquidation plot at Bengaluru.

According to the details of this plot, a group of boys had decided on targeting several Hindu leaders and journalists.

Further probing found that the plot extended to Telangana and Maharashtra as well.

During the course of the investigation, it came to light that a doctor based in Saudi Arabia was also part of the plot.

The various transcripts that the Sherlocks collected found that this person was being referred to as Dr Motu.

The NIA had claimed that this person was Dr Sabeel Ahmed, the brother of Kafeel Ahmed an accused in the Glasgow (UK) terror plot.
...the 2007 Glasgow International Airport attack with what would have been a nasty car bomb, had it actually exploded, with a connected set of car bombs that also did not go off in London. It might easily have been called a doctors’ plot, given how many of those arrested were MDs. The whole thing was a project of Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent, with handlers in Saudi Arabia...
Dr Sabeel Ahmed who was also questioned in connection with the Glasgow attack was deported to India after that incident.

When the NIA had identified Dr Motu for the first time and it was reported in the media, there was a denial issued by him. He had said that he was given to understand that he had taken part in some meetings in Riyadh in connection with this plot.

This is a ridiculous allegation against me and I deny all the charges he had said at that time.

The NIA in its chargesheet states that Dr Sabeel Ahmed was a key player in the plot.

The NIA accuses him of being part of meetings and also making financial and logistic support in connection with this plot.

In all the NIA has named 25 persons in the chargesheet on the ground that they were planning on killing Hindu leaders in Karnataka, Telangana and Maharashtra.
Hindustan Times adds:
According to NIA, the case was initially registered by the police in Bengaluru on August 29, 2012,
...the mills of justice grinding very slowly indeed, on this one...
and pertains to conspiracy hatched by members of LeT and Harkat-ul-Jehad-e-Islami (HuJI) to commit subversive activities and wage war against India.

It was taken over by the NIA on November 25, 2012. The agency chargesheeted 17 people in the case after investigation.

The NIA said that the two people named today were involved in criminal conspiracy along with other accused in supporting and furthering the cause of the terror groups in Damam and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They had also actively participated in meetings in which activities like targeted killings of important personalities of Hindu community were planned, it further added.

The NIA special court had convicted 13 accused people in 2016; they were sentenced to five-year imprisonment.

While trial is continuing against three accused, further investigation against six absconding accused persons continues.
