The Telegraph can reveal that the US investigation is examining £250,000 in alleged payments to a company linked to Code Pink in the UK from firms connected to Neville Roy Singham, a tech tycoon accused of financing Chinese propaganda around the world.

Jason Smith, the chairman of the US Congress ways and means committee, told The Telegraph: "It’s clear from the ways and means committee investigation that Singham’s money and influence does not stop at America’s borders.

A congressional source told The Telegraph that Sherlocks were aware of alleged Chinese funding of groups in Britannia and that it formed part of their inquiry.

"We are aware that China is funding pro-Hamas and leftists in the UK and the US," the source said. "That is why we are investigating it and will continue to do so."

Code Pink in the US has received millions of dollars from Mr Singham, who is facing multiple investigations over allegations that his network has produced pro-China propaganda on behalf of the communist regime in Beijing.

A congressional committee has claimed that Code Pink — which was founded by Jodie Evans, Mr Singham’s wife — appeared to have been "funded and influenced by Mr Singham and the communist Chinese government".

The Telegraph can reveal that a UK company with links to Code Pink received more than $250,000 (£190,000) from organizations alleged to be part of Mr Singham’s network in 2020 and 2021.

In 2024, the company received a further $94,950 (£70,000) from the People’s Support Foundation, another organization suspected of being in Mr Singham’s network, for "consulting services".

Code Pink encourages activists to join mass pro-Paleostinian marches and has organised demonstrations at the Ministry of Defence and the London office of an arms company.

One of the movement’s senior campaign organisers in the UK is Suzie Gilbert, who has been described as its "contact in Britannia".

Her work with the group has included campaigning for peace with Iran, demonstrations calling for the removal of British military bases in Cyprus, and visiting China under the theme that it "is not our enemy".

On Thursday night, a front man for Ms Gilbert denied being part of any "propaganda campaign" on behalf of Beijing.

Code Pink has called for the closure of British military bases abroad and organised a demonstration at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, which has been used for surveillance flights over Gaza.

Campaign supporters have included Jeremy Corbyn, the former Labour leader.

In May last year, the organization condemned the Government’s support for Israel. Responding to comments by Israeli ministers that the "world won’t stop" their military action in Gaza, Code Pink said: "Our leaders bought by Zionism will certainly not, but the people will."

The organization has attracted scrutiny in Washington over its funding and supportive stance towards Beijing.

Mr Singham is also being pursued by the department of justice, which has launched a federal grand jury investigation into his links to China.

GOVERNMENT ’MUST URGENTLY INVESTIGATE’
The allegations prompted MPs to call for British authorities to investigate the network.

Sarah Champion, a Labour MP, said: "The UK needs to work with the US to investigate the payments, their influence and who is ultimately responsible. We need to present a united front with the US and show zero tolerance."

Alicia Kearns, a Conservative MP, said: "The threat of the Chinese Communist Party is not abstract. It is made up of these cut-outs who industrialise interference in our democracy, organising and deploying groups parroting seditious Chinese Communist Party narratives.

"They work to undermine our democracy, security and illusory sovereignty in words and actions. The Government must urgently investigate these networks and make full use of the National Security Act to prosecute any unregistered individuals working on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party."

Code Pink also runs a campaign called "China is not our enemy". Its position on China has changed significantly as its financial links to Mr Singham’s network have grown.

Ms Evans previously criticised Beijing, writing on Twitter in 2015 that: "We demand China stop brutal repression of their women’s human rights defenders."

The organization now argues that the US is "heading towards a dangerous confrontation with China" and claims Washington continues to "manipulate the minds of US citizens to support [this] war".

Mr Singham has close links to China. He shares a Shanghai office with a Chinese state-linked company whose goal is to educate foreigners about "the miracles that China has created on the world stage".

New report maps alleged links between US activist groups, terror-designated organizations

LEGITIMATE DONATION MECHANISMS BEING USED TO FUNNEL FUNDS TOWARDS INCITEMENT
The ministry identified what it said are seemingly legitimate donation mechanisms being used to funnel resources into delegitimization and incitement activities. The ministry also found what seems to be patterns of coordination among organizations, joint campaigns, and large-scale public and advocacy operations, which, at times, cross the boundaries of legitimate discourse and may contribute to radicalization, incitement, and even violence.

American Moslems for Paleostine (AMP) is one of the main organizations examined in the report. Founded in 2006, AMP describes itself as an organization focused on Paleostinian advocacy, education, and community engagement. According to the report, AMP operates through a fiscal sponsorship structure rather than as an independent nonprofit entity, with AJP Educational Foundation serving as its 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor and AJP Action operating as a separate 501(c)(4) entity involved in political advocacy.

The report identifies AMP as a central organization within what it describes as a broader network of US-based groups involved in anti-Israel advocacy. It alleges that AMP has maintained connections with individuals and organizations linked to Hamas

Among the key figures highlighted in the report is Osama Abu Irshaid, AMP’s chairman. The report cites his participation in a 2021 conference in Jordan alongside representatives of Hamas and the PFLP, as well as his previous association with the Islamic Association of Paleostine (IAP), an organization that was found civilly liable in the US for supporting Hamas.

The report also focuses on Hatem Bazian, identified as an AMP founder and a prominent figure in the organization’s ideological and public messaging. It alleges that Bazian promoted holy warrior Islamist positions and antisemitic rhetoric, citing comments at protests and public events, including his call during student demonstrations for an "Intifada in the US."

Financially, the report examines AMP’s relationship with AJP Educational Foundation and AJP Action, arguing that the overlap between the entities raises questions about transparency and whether funds donated for educational purposes may support political activity. It notes that AMP’s revenue through AJP Educational increased from approximately $1 million in 2020 to $2.3 million in 2024, according to figures cited in the report.

The report also highlights a Virginia investigation into AMP’s financial records, stating that a court ordered the organization in 2024 to provide documents requested by the state attorney-general’s office regarding finances, leadership, donations, and activities.

It is important to note that AMP has denied any connections to Hamas. AMP’s lawyer told USA Today in 2024: "There have been many allegations and insinuations against American Moslems for Paleostine and whether it has connections to Hamas, supports Hamas, or in any way, shape, or form aids Hamas. The answer to all of those is simple and clear: No. No, it does not."

MAPPING THE BROADER NETWORK OF US-BASED PRO-PALESTINIAN ACTIVISM
Beyond individual organizations, the ministry’s report attempts to map what it describes as a broader network of relationships connecting US-based pro-Paleostinian groups, activists, donors, and advocacy structures.

The main overlap described is between American Moslems for Paleostine (AMP), the US Campaign for Paleostinian Rights (USCPR), National Students for Justice in Paleostine (NSJP), and the Council on American-Islamic Relations

According to the report, these connections are significant not only because of individual affiliations, but also because they denote a broader ecosystem in which organizations project common messages, mobilize supporters, and provide institutional support for campaigns targeting Israel.

Nevertheless, while the report alleges ideological and organizational connections, proving a legal violation requires demonstrating specific prohibited conduct, such as material support for designated terrorist organizations. The ministry’s report is, therefore, not a criminal complaint but rather a compilation of what it deems evidence.

Speaking about the report, Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister Amichai Chikli said: "We continue to expose the true face of ’innocent’ civil society organizations, which, in practice, support terrorism and incitement against the State of Israel."

"The era of the double game — where organizations could support terrorism while hiding behind an ’innocent’ and ’civil’ facade — has come to an end."

He noted that he has reached out to members of Congressional committees and the US Department of Justice to ask them to "take action" against these organizations and "halt their operations."

Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry Director-General Avi Cohen-Scali said, "These are disguised humanitarian organizations that promote subversive antisemitic activity, delegitimization, and incitement to terrorism."

"We will continue to work to expose the links between ’innocent civil’ organizations and terrorist groups."

The truth is it's a complicated process. This isn't Venezuela. We likely won't have a clean and tidy(-ish) ending to the regime. You can't just take out one guy, neutralize his cronies, cut off their revenue stream, and start over with Marco Rubio

in charge. The Cuban regime is older, more decentralized, and designed to withstand such moves. The power lies within the Communist Party, the military’s economic empire (GAESA), and a deep security apparatus.

There's also the media problem. The number of MSM fake news stories from anonymous sources about Cuba is exhausting, and it drives me insane how many prominent people report on them or share them as if they are fact. For example, for a while, there was this idea that the Trump administration's goal for liberating Cuba was the end of this year. It was fun to buy into, and I didn't find it all that outlandish pre-Iran, but Rubio put a stop to that kind of talk last week when speaking to the press.

"No, look, guys, global affairs are not like — we’re not a miniseries, like, you get in three episodes and it’s over," he said. "I mean, global affairs are difficult. You’re talking about a system that’s been in place since 1959. You talk about a country that’s suffered tremendously because of poor leadership and a bad economic model. You’re talking about a regime that’s survived all these years because they had a foreign sponsor, be it the Soviet Union or Hugo Chavez. They don’t have that anymore. So it’s — these are complex things that take time, and obviously we’re prepared to do what we can do to effectuate a positive change in Cuba because it directly impacts our national security."

He added: "It’s a failed state. But I’ve never laid out any timeline as to what change would look like or when it would happen. I wish it was tomorrow because they deserve it; the people of Cuba deserve a better future."

One thing Rubio did confirm — and Trump has hinted at this in the past — is that this is his project. "I work on this issue more than anybody else," he said, and I think that's fairly obvious.

That said, let's get to the news. The actual, factual, verifiable news.

THE BIG STATE DEPARTMENT REPORT
The biggest Cuba-related news from last week was the 100-page report from the State Department called "Cuba: The Capital of 21st Century Communism." I haven't reported on it yet for two reasons. One, I wanted to read it myself. Two, I'd already reported on some of it over the last year, so I felt like it wasn't quite the bombshell the State Department wanted it to be. However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
I've come around to realizing that it's a good report because it centralizes the information in one location, it helps build a case against the regime for whatever comes next from Trump and Rubio, and it supports the administration's current anti-far-left terrorism stance and actions it plans to take against it.

So I'm going to hit some highlights here. You can skim them or check out the entire report yourself.

The report paints Cuba as what it is. Rather than calling it a failed dictatorship, it's an ideological threat to the United States, as well as a threat to our national security.

Rather than relying on military action against the U.S., it has used irregular warfare to infiltrate, including espionage, infiltration of U.S. institutions, recruitment of American activists, providing a safe haven for terrorists, and creating or supporting ideological networks designed to turn segments of American society against the U.S. government and system.

And not just in the United States, but in other Latin American countries as well — it's trained groups that helped lead to the Sandinista victory in Nicaragua in 1979; supported Puerto Rican terror groups like FALN and Macheteros; and created alliances with Hugo Chavez. I've written about this in the past, but before he got into politics, Nicolás Maduro barely had a high school education. His only formal schooling was a year in Havana at Fidel Castro's commie training camp.

Cuba essentially had spies within the U.S. government, like Ana Belén Montes, a senior Pentagon analyst, or Victor Manuel Rocha, a U.S. diplomat who was arrested in 2023 after working as an agent for Cuba for over 40 years.

The regime especially liked to push black holy warriors, supported groups like the Black Panthers, and granted asylum to many black criminals, like Assata Shakur.

It highlights the Venceremos Brigade, which has brought at least 10,000 U.S. citizens to Cuba since 1969 to identify potential activists, build relationships, and strengthen radical organizations.

It also highlights the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples (ICAP), which has a presence in 150 countries and direct ties to Cuban intelligence, as well as the National Network on Cuba, which is connected to groups like the Democratic Socialists of America, Communist Party USA, Code Pink

There's more, but hopefully, that gives you an idea, and I think most of us sort of already had an inkling that all of this was true, but maybe we didn't know how deep. Now we have it in writing. This will be an essential tool for the Trump administration going forward.

THE REGIME RESPONSE
Of course, the Cuban regime came out swinging in response to all of this. The face of the regime, "President" Miguel Díaz-Canel, posted a long thread on X, basically calling Rubio a thief (the regime hates our dear Secretary of State with a passion), claiming the U.S. is just using all this information to start a war, and he accused our country of being the genocidal aggressors or something like that.

SANCTIONING THE MEDICAL BRIGADES
Just when I think there's nothing left to sanction in Cuba, Rubio surprises me. Last week, he came out and designated "nine entities and two individuals whose activities perpetuate the regime’s control over Cuba’s energy, financial, and exploitative overseas medical labor sectors."

"Those sanctioned today have also tried to evade our prior sanctions on the Cuban regime and its enablers," he added. "These designations include four entities associated with sanctions evasion efforts linked to U.S.-designated Grupo De Administración Empresarial S.A. (GAESA), three entities operating in Cuba’s energy sector, and two entities and two individuals responsible for the exploitation and forced labor of Cuban medical workers through the regime’s overseas medical brigades."

What I find most interesting about this is the sanctioning of the medical brigades. Just to recap, they're essentially a forced labor program that sends doctors and other medical professionals overseas to work in countries that don't have access to that kind of labor. On the surface, it sounds like a smart humanitarian gesture, but the reality is that the regime gets rich on the backs of these people and treats them incredibly inhumanely. It's been compared to slavery or human trafficking in the past. Earlier this year, several countries, like Jamaica, Guatemala, Honduras, and Guyana, removed themselves from the program under U.S. pressure.

After losing access to cheap Venezuelan oil that it would mostly resell, the medical brigades are one of the last reliable foreign currency streams for the regime. I sort of suspect we might see more sanctions related to the program in the future.

PROTESTS CONTINUE
Cuba's crumbling energy grid has suffered multiple nationwide collapses this month, and people are fed up. When the power is on, rolling blackouts can last from 20 to 70 hours. The regime blames the U.S. "blockade," which isn't really the problem. And the people know better. They're taking to the streets chanting "turn on the lights," "freedom," and "down with the dictatorship." They're banging pots and pans, they're blocking streets, and they're setting the trash that piles up on the roadsides on fire. In some areas, there has been an increase in regime "security," which seems to have plenty of fuel for its vehicles, but overall, people are continuing to lose their fear. Heck, they're even protesting during the daytime now. Previously, it was all at night.

U.S. HUMANITARIAN AID
It's hard not to feel bad for the Cuban people who are caught up in all of this through no fault of their own. It's also important that while the United States is applying this maximum pressure, we stay on top of the humanitarian situation caused by the regime. Total collapse could become a huge problem for our country.

Rubio has promised $100 million in aid to the people of Cuba, in the form of food, hygiene kits, and medical supplies, but he would only do it if it didn't go through the regime first. Mexico's Claudia Sheinbaum made a big deal of sending similar supplies earlier this year, and they ended up in military-controlled stores sold at ridiculous prices and only for people who could pay with U.S. dollars.

The regime claimed Rubio was lying about the aid, and it stood in the way of allowing it into the country, but last week, it finally began to flow through Catholic Relief Services and will benefit approximately 700 families. It will be distributed through local parishes so that the regime can't get its hands on it.

At 11:30 a.m. on June 3, an activation signal went out on social media calling protesters and agitators to swarm Delaney Hall, the Newark, N.J. ICE detention facility that has become one of the nation's most contentious immigration battlegrounds.

"CURFEW IS OVER. BACK TO DELANEY," read an Instagram post, promoted by a fiery collection of anti-Israel, Marxist and Democratic organizations — from "Palestine Solidarity Working Group" and Al-Awda to Indivisible and 50501 — that have joined tumultuous against the ICE, Newark police and New Jersey state troopers over the past couple of weeks.

Within minutes, the call to action spread through secret groups on Signal, an encrypted messaging platform, activating hundreds of anti-ICE activists with secret monikers like "framed.unrest" and "Wicked Something," collaborating on transportation, logistics and supplies, like goggles, protections against pepper spray, respirators and protective knee pads.

A Fox News Digital investigation, gathering information on the ground in Newark, in secret chat groups on Signal and from scores of tax filings, strategy documents and social media posts, reveals the protests outside Delaney Hall are no organic outpouring of spontaneous rage. They are the result of years of strategic planning by a network of well-funded, well-organized groups that have once again exploited a local controversy to wage a wider attack on federal immigration policies and the U.S. in general.

The activities of this network have motivated a group of tech sleuths on the X — @DataRepublican, @Astrarce, @bitchuneedsoap and @gunshymartyr — to penetrate these groups, their Signal chats and their operations like a digital Avengers squad.

According to Fox News Digital's analysis, the network behind the Delaney Hall protests includes about 100 groups, some of them big names like the ACLU, Indivisible and Democratic Socialists of America. Together, these organizations report collective annual revenues of about $825 million, approximately equal to the annual budget of Newark. The groups didn't respond to requests for comment.

About 70 of the groups have received special designations as charities by the IRS, have status as regular 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofits, as well as labor union 501(c)(5) and 501(c)(6) nonprofits, enjoying tax-deductible donations and certain tax-free benefits. In recent months, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and lawmakers on the House Ways and Means Committee, the House Judiciary Committee and the House Oversight Committee have launched investigations into the alleged abuse of nonprofit laws to instigate conflict, sow discord and even inspire political violence.

The Delaneny network — which one expert calls the "Delaney Hall 100" — message around shared language assembled in a strategic communications document, called the "Delaney Hall Creator Brief," which Fox News Digital obtained from X user @b----uneedsoap. The strategy document directs content creators to call the detention center a "concentration camp" and label detainees "imprisoned prisoners" and "captives." It tells activists to eschew saying detainees were arrested, but rather assert they were "kidnapped/abducted/taken."

Their tactics mirror the system deployed in Minneapolis earlier this year to protest ICE actions, and military experts say the operations resemble the tactics of an insurgency.

"We should be very concerned about the Delaney Hall 100," said Chuck Flint, a nonprofit expert and former U.S. Senate chief of staff. "Protests like the kind we're seeing outside Delaney Hall are not organic protests. These are manufactured strategic, calculated endeavors by an army of nonprofits meant to push subversive activity. These groups generate annual revenues greater than many of the cities in which they protest. They act like military battalions with the ability to overwhelm a city's public safety resources."

"It's David vs. Goliath," said Flint, who is also a former state prosecutor.

Last weekend, Fox News Digital spotlighted a series of far-left groups that self-identify as socialist, Marxist and communist blending in with immigrant groups. They included Democratic Socialists of America, the U.S. Revolutionary Communist Party, Speak Out Socialist, Refuse Fascism, Freedom Road Socialists Organization, Freedom Socialist Party and the Black Panthers.

Fox News Digital observed tents stocked with respirators, goggles, protective pads, decontamination supplies and other protest-support equipment.

Late last Saturday, controversial Marxist influencer Hasan Piker arrived at the protests for a quick walk-through, wearing a pink gas mask. He told Fox News Digital that he was there to advocate for the demands of the detainees inside, remaining on the scene for less than 30 minutes before driving off.

Later, he responded to Fox News Digital's images of the tents filled with riot-gear provisions and called the supplies "mutual aid."

The preparations for protests Wednesday night offer a window into how the organizations motivate, coordinate, mobilize, focus and discipline their foot soldiers.

By 1:17 p.m., a user, "Pete InDC," shared a video outside the detention facility, with a car honking nonstop and "ICE OUT" drawn in chalk on Doremus Avenue.

[MSN] Michigan Democratic Senate hopeful Abdul el Sayed frequently touts his credentials as a physician, though records indicate he has little history practicing medicine.

State medical licensing records in both Michigan and New York do not show Abdul el Sayed ever holding a physician’s license in either state, according to a new report from Politico.

Throughout the campaign, el Sayed has frequently leaned on his medical background as a central part of his political identity, regularly emphasizing his medical training and allowing introductions referring to him as a physician to go unchallenged.

During an April television interview, he repeatedly referenced his experience as a physician, and in earlier appearances that year, he described firsthand experience in medical emergencies and portrayed medicine as the defining profession of his career.

Michigan law bars individuals from representing themselves in a way that would lead others to believe they are licensed or authorized to practice medicine if they do not hold a valid medical license.

Earlier in March, in the lead up to this past weekend’s events, the leaders of the Singham-linked People’s Forum, Tricontential: Institute for Social Research, Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), and the International Peoples’ Assembly all traveled to Havana for a warm “solidarity” meeting with Miguel Díaz-Canel, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba.

The so-called “humanitarian” trips to Cuba over the weekend — which continue to unfold this week — were in large part organized by groups within the activist network tied to and funded by wealthy Marxist and China-based businessman Neville Roy Singham, as well as by the far-left Progressive International (which counts the leftist anti-war group Code Pink, which is personally and financially tied to Singham, as one of its member organizations).

Cuba is preparing for possible U.S. aggression even as Trump administration officials have recently signaled they are not planning an invasion, Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío said Sunday.

"Our military is always prepared, and in fact it is preparing these days for the possibility of military aggression," Fernández de Cossío told NBC News’ "Meet the Press" in an interview that aired Sunday.

"We would be naive if, looking at what’s happening around the world, we would not do that."

"But we truly hope that it doesn’t occur. We don’t see why it would have to occur, and we find no justification whatsoever — why would the government of the United States force its country to take military action against a neighboring country like Cuba?"

The Cuban official’s remarks come just days after President Donald Trump said it would be "a big honor" to be the president that has the "honor of taking Cuba."

"Taking Cuba in some form, yeah, taking Cuba – I mean, whether I free it, take it: I think I can do anything I want with it, you want to know the truth," Trump said, despite the fact Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed diplomacy with the failing regime over any talk of an invasion as Trump's statement might suggest.

"They’re in a lot of trouble, and the people in charge, they don’t know how to fix it," Rubio said this week. "So they have to get new people in charge."

But Fernández de Cossío said Cuba is "absolutely" opposed to regime change, signaling defiance of Trump and Rubio's public statements and setting the stage for potential military action down the road.

"Our country has historically been ready to mobilize, as a nation as a whole, for military aggression," he told NBC's Kristen Welker. "We truly always see it as something far from us. We don’t believe it is something that is probable. But we would be naive if we do not prepare. That’s what I can tell you."

Asked whether Cuba was bracing for the United States "to take it in some form," Fernández de Cossío answered: "Truly, we don’t know what they’re talking about."

"But I can tell you this: Cuba is a sovereign country and has the right to be a sovereign country and has the right to self-determination," he added. "Cuba would not accept to become a vassal state or a dependent state from any other country or any other superpower."

Fernández de Cossío said Cuba was prepared to negotiate with Rubio despite the secretary of state’s long-standing criticism of the Cuban government.

"We are ready to negotiate with the person that the U.S. government, as a sovereign nation, designates as their spokesperson, as their lead negotiator, and we’re ready to negotiate with whoever is designated by the U.S. government," he said. "They’re a sovereign nation. We don’t interfere with that."

Throughout the interview, the Cuban diplomat cast Havana’s position as defensive, saying Cuba "has no quarrel with the United States" and wants "a respectful relationship," while blaming the island’s worsening energy and economic crisis on U.S. pressure, including efforts to choke off fuel supplies. Recent reporting has documented Cuba’s deepening blackout crisis and the Trump administration’s increased efforts to isolate the government economically.

"What does ‘on its own’ mean when it’s being forced by the United States?" Fernández de Cossío said when asked about Trump’s claim that Cuba could collapse on its own. "It’s a very bizarre statement."

CCP-linked Singham Network's tax-exempt status remains as groups avoid FARA scrutiny for years

Grassley told AG Bondi last year that they have “a duty to ensure compliance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act [...] to combat adversarial foreign governments from influencing public policy and opinion in the United States.” The far-left activist network launched by Neville Roy Singham has been the focus of investigations in the House and Senate, but it is unclear whether the DOJ or IRS are investigating too.

Republicans in Congress have spent years pushing the Justice Department and IRS to scrutinize and investigate a Chinese Communist Party-linked activist network in the U.S., but so far these groups organizing far-left protests nationwide appear to retain their tax-exempt status and have avoided any prosecutions under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA).

That law was enacted in 1938 after extensive foreign propaganda activities occurred in the U.S. during the run-up to World War II, most notably, a 20,000-person pro-Nazi rally held in Madison Square Garden. FARA has since been amended 10 times, with the most significant overhaul occurring in 1966.

The Marxist revolutionary group known as the People’s Forum, the leftist "Act Now to Stop War and End Racism" (ANSWER) Coalition, the far-left anti-war group Code Pink, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), and others have been put under the microscope by GOP leaders in the House and Senate over their alleged financial and personnel ties to China.

These groups did not respond to a request for comment.

CONNECTING THE DOTS FROM ACTIVISTS TO SINGHAM TO THE CCP
Just the News has previously reported on how these and other radical activist groups have leadership links or financial ties to the funding network backed by wealthy Marxist businessman Neville Roy Singham, who himself is linked to the CCP and whom some in his network call "Comrade” — and who has also been scrutinized by Republican congressional investigators.

Congressional Republicans have long called for investigations into the Singham network, its links to the CCP, its leadership in nationwide leftwing protests, and its role in anti-Israel encampments, vandalism, and violence on campus. The GOP — especially then-Senator Marco Rubio — has for years asked the DOJ to look into possible (FARA) violations and has called upon the Treasury Department and IRS to consider revoking the tax-exempt status for Singham’s network of non-profits.

The GOP-led House Oversight Committee also voted last month to subpoena Singham for information about this sprawling activist network. The Justice Department and Treasury Department did not respond to requests for comment about their investigations — if any — into Singham and his CCP-linked network.

Singham, who lives and works in Shanghai, runs a network of pro-CCP news sites and other China-linked endeavors. Singham, who sold his ThoughtWorks tech company in 2017, has used the money to fund openly communist endeavors.

Singham married Jodie Evans, the co-founder of the radical left-wing group Code Pink, in 2017. Her group touts itself as antiwar and has become increasingly pro-China in recent years. Just the News reported on how Evans personally recruits Americans to join Code Pink on “Red China” trips focused on lauding Chinese Communist revolutionary history.

Singham did not respond to a request for comment sent to him through his wife.

The People’s Forum responded to GOP calls for investigations with derision back in 2024. “The political assault against the People’s Forum is part of a larger effort by Republicans and other right-wing forces in Congress to criminalize and demonize Palestinian, Muslim-American, and anti-war organizations,” the communist outfit tweeted at the time.

The IRS told Just the News only that “federal disclosure law, specifically IRC Section 6103, prohibits the release or discussion of tax information by IRS employees.”

ATTEMPTING TO UNRAVEL THE “SINGHAM-CCP NETWORK”
Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo., the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, has been among the congressional leaders spending years focused on the Singham network — and urging action by the executive branch.

Smith’s committee held a hearing in February on "Foreign Influence in American Non-Profits: Unmasking Threats from Beijing and Beyond” where the Singham network featured prominently. The chairman stressed that “the Committee has worked tirelessly to unravel the Singham-CCP network.”

“Today’s hearing continues our investigations into the money trails behind tax-exempt organizations failing to operate within their stated tax-exempt purpose and sowing chaos, fueling antisemitism, and interfering in elections across America,” Smith said in his opening statement. “Many of these tax-exempt groups also have documented ties to hostile foreign governments, like the Chinese Communist Party.”

“The People’s Forum, an American tax-exempt group who I demanded documents from in September, hosts events and courses pushing Communist Party propaganda, incites violent protests and riots, including disruptive occupations of college campuses, and publicly supported Hamas’ October 7th terrorist attack against Israel,” Smith said as he singled out a key NYC-based node of the Singham network.

Smith added: “And it’s no wonder that the People’s Forum echoes Communist Party propaganda. One of their largest donors is a wealthy former U.S. tech executive living in Shanghai who is cozy with the Chinese Communist Party. Neville Roy Singham and his wife, a co-founder of CodePink, donated over $20 million to People’s Forum through shell companies and donor-advised funds to hide the original source of the money.”

SINGHAM'S NETWORK HAS BEEN INFLUENTIAL IN NATIONWIDE ANTI-TRUMP PROTESTS
Just the News reported on how the Singham network, prominently including the People’s Forum, helped lead protests last year against the deportation of Columbia University encampment protest leader Mahmoud Khalil last year, and further reported on how an anti-Israel documentary film — The Encampments — featuring Khalil was produced by the Singham network’s BreakThrough Media.

Just the News also reported on how anti-ICE protests last year were organized by PSL, the People’s Forum, and others in the Singham network. The Singham network — led by the People’s Forum in particular, as well as ANSWER, Code Pink, and PSL — also played a key role in leading renewed anti-ICE protests earlier this year as well, including attempts to organize a nationwide shutdown.

The People’s Forum, Code Pink, ANSWER, and PSL were also key organizers of nationwide protests opposing the U.S. military arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, with Chinese state-run media promoting these CCP-linked protests, Just the News reported.

Just the News also reported on how Chinese state-run propaganda outlets are currently promoting U.S. protests against the Trump Administration’s strikes against the Iranian regime, with the protests featured by the CCP-run outlets having been organized by the Singham network.

Back over on Instagram, Manassas Mosque was tagged as a sponsor of an anti-war protest slated for Monday evening outside the White House, along with this message:

This conflict has the potential to quickly expand into a devastating regional war which will bring unthinkable death and destruction. Already, other countries in the region have been drawn into the war. Trump is lying when he says that Iran poses any kind of threat to the United States. And he has made it clear that he is willing to sacrifice the lives of U.S. servicemembers in this regime change war, along with an unlimited number of Iranians and others in the region.

But a mass anti-war movement can put an end to this destruction! Take to the streets on Monday, March 2 to demand: stop the war on Iran now!

Code Pink, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Black Alliance for Peace, and American Muslims for Palestine are among the other sponsors of the Monday rally.

Manassas Mosque has a long, sordid history of allying with far-left and anti-semitic agitators, and, following the confirmation of Khamenei's death, the daughter of the mosque's leader reposted a quote calling the United States and Israel a "demonic transgressive empire."

After the October 2023 terrorist attacks against Israel, the Manassas Mosque endorsed the actions of Hamas. In a community newsletter, the mosque issued a statement explicitly expressing support for the terrorist group. “We stand firmly with the Palestinian Resistance (Hamas),” the mosque’s leaders declared at the time.

Manassas Mosque’s Imam Abolfazl Bahram Nahidian claimed at a 2010 rally on Quds Day, an annual anti-Israel day of protest calling for the destruction of the Jewish state, that Israelis orchestrated the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks as part of a Zionist conspiracy to sow Islamophobia.

“All the plots and the schemes that they make are to destroy humanity,” Nahidian said of the Israeli people, calling them “the most devilish ones on Earth.”

It is worrisome, indeed, that any mosque in the U.S., much less one operating in the shadow of Washington, D.C., is using such incendiary rhetoric and implied threats against its neighbors. As RedState's Ward Clark wrote earlier Monday, we need to be worried about way more than simple rhetoric, as terror cells are already likely be operating within the United States and could be ready to use the military action in Iran as an excuse to unleash violence against Americans.

Whether or not Manassas Mosque is part of any planned unrest in the U.S. is unclear at this point, but its public and unabashed praise for a foreign jihadist regime and its history of extremist rhetoric should set off serious alarm bells for law enforcement and the public alike.

House Ed Committee questions mayor who didn’t send police to Northwestern encampment
[CollegeFix] U.S. House Committee on Education and Workforce Chairman Tim Walberg is investigating antisemitism on Northwestern University’s campus, including accusations that Evanston Mayor Daniel Biss refused to send police backup to a hostile pro-Palestinian encampment for political reasons. Although Biss did not respond to multiple requests for comment from The College Fix, a spokesperson for Walberg said the mayor has been cooperating with the investigation.

The situation centers around events in April 2024 when, following suit with over 100 other campuses nationwide, a group of pro-Palestinian Northwestern students established an encampment on Deering Meadow, which lasted for five days.

In a Jan. 28 letter to Biss, Congressman Walberg described the encampment as “a hotbed of antisemitic harassment and hostility, including multiple alleged assaults and virulently antisemitic signage.”

“I write with grave concern regarding your failure to protect Jewish students at Northwestern University …by refusing to give the university the police support it desperately needed to clear its violent and antisemitic encampment in April 2024,” Walberg wrote.

In a recent report, The Daily Northwestern detailed correspondence between former university President Michael Schill and Northwestern’s Board of Trustees Chair Peter Barris regarding the 2024 encampment and the mayor’s refusal to send police to help.

Beginning April 26, 2024, just one day after the encampment began, Schill contacted Barris stating there were “too few police” to safely remove the encampment, according to the report. To aid in the removal, Schill said he was relying on the Evanston Police Department, with an agreement having been made between the city and the university. That night, however, Mayor Biss contacted President Schill, informing him that police would not be sent, according to the Daily Northwestern.

“’You know, you can sue me if you want,’” Schill said Biss told him during their call, the report states.

Biss is running for Congress as a Democratic candidate in the 2026 election cycle.

Yale Vows to Investigate Anti-Semitic Graffiti On Campus Quads
[Washington Free Beacon]Yale University said it is investigating an incident in which anti-Semitic graffiti was spray-painted into the snow on major campus quads, a university spokeswoman told the Washington Free Beacon. The university declined to say whether it had video footage of the individuals who left the graffiti, which included the phrases "Intifida" and "IDF Die." A Yale senior, Sahar Tartak, said on social media that "every gate" facilitating entrance onto the quad where the graffiti was found is "locked and recorded" by video surveillance.

"On Wednesday morning, messages that appear to have been spray-painted on the snow at Old Campus and Cross Campus were removed by the university, consistent with Yale’s policies on postering and chalking," Yale spokeswoman Karen Peart said. Those policies preclude messages whose content is "harassing" or "threatening."

CBS boss Bari Weiss cancels UCLA lecture ahead of expected student protests: report
[NYPost] CBS News editor in chief Bari Weiss canceled an upcoming lecture at the University of California-Los Angeles as students were expected to protest — and some staff objected to hosting her — according to a report. Weiss was slated to give the annual Daniel Pearl Memorial lecture on Feb. 27 on “The Future of Journalism,” but the exec — who is a staunch advocate of Israel — pulled out of the event earlier this week amid concerns for her safety.

The university has been at the center of intense national scrutiny, including federal investigations and legal action on claims of systemic antisemitism, since Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023 attack on Israel and the war in Gaza sparked campus protests.

Almost 11,000 people, most of whom are not UCLA students, petitioned the Burkle Center to remove her. Led by Code Pink, a leftist organization funded by billionaire Neville Singham (who has spent years and millions of dollars promoting the Chinese Communist Party and who is married to the Code Pink founder), the group campaigned against her because, according to them, “She has a history of flagrant xenophobic remarks about Palestinians, Muslims, and Arabs.”

Simply put, in their warped worldview, one of the most important journalists in our nation should be prohibited from speaking at UCLA because she is a Zionist. Because Ms. Weiss believes there should be a Jewish homeland, that there is no historical “Palestine,” and that the Muslim regimes that want to destroy Israel should be stopped, she should have no voice according to these fanatical leftists.

Even worse for these fascist leftists who seek to rid the world of any opinion but their own, Bari Weiss doesn’t fit their mold. Like Larry Elder, a black man who is conservative, Bari Weiss doesn’t fit into what they feel a queer Jewish woman should be. So rather than try to understand her perspective, they have successfully sought to remove her voice entirely.

Code Pink is an awful organization that is a well funded arm of leftism, so none of this should come as a surprise. The true sadness is how UCLA demonstrated its own hatred for conservatism, dialogue, and Israel by capitulating to a group that is not even composed of students.

The Burkle Center, whose mission is to “promote discussion of international relations, U.S. foreign policy, and complex issues of global cooperation and conflict,” has, in canceling her, acted in direct contradiction to its mission statement. By silencing her voice, they are demonstrating that they are not interested in discussion unless it is in sync with the values of their leadership. Burkle Center Associate Director Margaret Peters made the decision, along with her colleagues (who can all be reached at burkle@international.ucla.edu), not because she is pro-Trump or conservative, but for one simple reason: Bari Weiss is pro-Israel. She understands the Islamic threat to Western civilization, the evils of Hamas, and the dangers of Iran.

The move comes less than two weeks after US President Donald Trump said his administration was seeking $1 billion from Harvard to settle probes into school policies, after a news report that said Trump had dropped his demand for a payment from the Ivy League school.

A Harvard spokesperson said the university is committed to following the law and has been responding to the government’s inquiries in good faith.

“The university will continue to defend itself against these retaliatory actions which have been initiated simply because Harvard refused to surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights in response to unlawful government overreach,” the spokesperson said.

Trump’s administration has been threatening to withhold federal funds from Harvard and several other universities over issues including pro-Palestinian protests against Israel since the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attack that triggered the Gaza war, campus diversity and transgender policies.

The Justice Department said on Friday in a press release that Harvard had “repeatedly slow-walked the pace of production and refused to produce pertinent data and documents,” including admissions policies and correspondence related to banned diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

In the complaint filed in Boston federal court, Justice Department lawyers said the documents requested will help assess whether Harvard is complying with a 2023 decision by the US Supreme Court which said that race-conscious college admissions programs are unconstitutional.

The Justice Department said it brought the lawsuit “solely to compel Harvard to produce documents relating to any consideration of race in admission” and “does not accuse Harvard of any discriminatory conduct, nor does it seek monetary damages or the revocation of federal funding.”

A judge declared a mistrial Friday in the case of five current and former Stanford University students charged after anti-Israel pro-Palestinian protests in 2024, when they barricaded themselves inside the university president and provost executive offices.

The trial in Santa Clara County was a rare instance of demonstrators facing felony charges from protests over the Israel-Hamas war that roiled campuses across the country. The two sides argued over free speech, lawful dissent and crime during the three-week proceedings.

The jury voted 9 to 3 to convict on a felony charge of vandalism and 8 to 4 to convict on a felony charge of conspiracy to trespass.
Jury nullification
Demonstrators barricaded themselves inside the offices for several hours on June 5, 2024, the last day of spring classes at the university. Prosecutors said the defendants spray-painted the building, broke windows and furniture, disabled security cameras and splattered a red liquid described as fake blood on items throughout the offices.

Defense attorneys said the protest was protected speech and there was insufficient evidence of an intent to damage the property. They also said the students wore protective gear and barricaded the offices out of fear of being injured by police and campus security.

If convicted, the defendants would have faced up to three years in prison and been obligated to pay restitution of over $300,000.

“This case is about a group of people who destroyed someone else’s property and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage,” Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen said in a statement. “That is against the law and that is why we will retry the case.”

Authorities initially arrested and charged 12 people in the case, but one pleaded no contest under an agreement that allows some young people to have their cases dismissed and records sealed if they successfully complete probation. He testified for the prosecution, leading to a grand jury indictment of the others in October of the others. Six of those accepted pretrial plea deals or diversion programs, and the remaining five pleaded not guilty and sought a jury trial.

Protests sprung up on campuses across the country following the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, onslaught that started the conflict in Gaza, with students setting up camps and demanding their universities stop doing business with Israel or companies that support its war efforts against Hamas.

About 3,200 people were arrested in 2024 nationwide. While some colleges ended demonstrations by striking deals with students or simply waited them out, others called in police. Most criminal charges were ultimately dismissed.

Haverford College bans 2 from campus after disrupting Jewish journalist’s talk
[CollegeFix] Haverford College, a small, private institution in Philadelphia, “indefinitely” banned two individuals from its campus last week after one of them used a bullhorn to disrupt a Jewish journalist’s guest talk.

Neither was a student or employee of the college, Director of Campus Safety Jerry Fayette stated in a message to the campus Wednesday. He did not name the individuals.

“We have gathered sufficient evidence to identify both the individual who used a bullhorn and the audience member who initiated physical contact with them,” Fayette stated.

Both are banned from the college “indefinitely,” he stated. “If they are found to be on Haverford’s campus, their presence will be considered trespassing, and the College will contact local police.”

The college took action after a crowd of masked anti-Israel protesters showed up at a guest talk by The Times of Israel journalist Haviv Rettig Gur on Feb. 1.

Gur’s topic was “Roots, Return & Reality: Jews, Israel, and the myth of settler colonialism.” The college’s Chabad chapter sponsored the event.
