Doxxing soldiers, but failing to put them in dock: Hind Rajab group has some on edge
2025-02-26
[IsraelTimes] Organization run by Hezbollah backers has failed to realize its goal of having IDF troops arrested abroad, but may be making inroads in the court of public opinion

In countries around the world, former and current Israeli soldiers, from lowly grunts to top generals, are being hunted by a shadowy organization that claims to have thousands of volunteers around the world seeking justice for Gazooks.

Launched in September, the Hind Rajab Foundation has used social media posts by Israeli soldiers, officers, and reservists, in an attempt to have them arrested for alleged war crimes when they travel abroad.

Though the group has been largely unsuccessful in court, it has managed nonetheless to win widespread media exposure, allegedly caused a cabinet minister to rethink a trip abroad, and even prompted the Israeli military to create new rules to better protect troops’ privacy and keep them from being victims of doxxing — the practice of publishing someone’s personal information online to expose them.

, the age of social media, the virality of things, and how things are all connected," a military source said. "It’s a new challenge, but we are handling it with the right seriousness."

The foundation was started by Lebanese-Belgian nationals Dyab Abou Jahjah and Karim Hassoun, a former Hezbollah member and supporter respectively, who say they are seeking justice for Paleostinians.

The Brussels-based pair claim to have thousands of volunteers around the world who scour social media posts uploaded by IDF soldiers, eyewitness testimonies, documentation by journalists, and reports by the United Nations

to support their claims of war crimes and other types of wrongdoing.

"We turn, you know, social media posts, basically, into legal cases," Abou Jahjah recently told the Democracy Now TV news program.

The organization is named after 6-year-old Paleostinian Hind Rajab, who was allegedly killed by the IDF in the Gaza City neighborhood of Tel al-Hawa, on January 29, 2024.

The IDF denies being behind an apparent strike on the Rajab family’s car, though reports about her death nonetheless helped catalyze already potent protests in North America and Europe.

Israeli troops fought in Gaza for over 15 months following the October 7, 2023 massacre, which saw thousands of Hamas
..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,...
-led bandidos turbans rampage across southern Israel, slaughtering some 1,200 people, taking 251 hostages, and sparking a war that has completely devastated the Gaza Strip and left Israel shaken to its core. Fighting has been paused since mid-January, though it is unclear whether the truce will extend beyond its early March expiration date.

HRF uses social media both to find evidence of alleged crimes in cases where soldiers post content from inside Gaza or southern Lebanon, and to find out about soldiers who travel abroad and post about it online, allowing the group to file complaints in the relevant jurisdiction.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry said in January that it knew of 28 claims filed in eight different countries against Israelis linked to the war, with HRF thought to be behind many of them.

Separately, the group also filed complaints against 1,000 IDF soldiers, officers, and commanders at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Abou Jahjah said in October.

Allegations against the troops include the use of inhumane warfare tactics, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide against Paleostinians in the Gaza Strip since war erupted in October 2023.

In January, the organization boasted that a complaint against Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli for allegedly "making terrorist threats" had forced him to cancel a planned visit to the European Parliament in Brussels.

Belgian officials said Chikli’s planned travel was not a state visit and so he would not have diplomatic immunity, should groups seek a warrant for his arrest.

HRF also recently asked Italia to arrest Maj.-Gen. Ghassan Alian, who heads the Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories, the Defense Ministry unit that oversees aid shipments into Gaza, among other roles. Alian, who was in Italia on an official visit, maintained his original schedule for the trip, despite HRF’s attempt to pin him on charges of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.

Israeli officials say many of the organization’s claims of taking legal action against soldiers are overblown.

The IDF closely follows the activism of HRF and similar groups, but does not consider it a major threat, The Times of Israel has learned. The army has signaled that it believes most claims against individual soldiers have petered out before reaching prosecution, due to a lack sufficient or substantiated evidence. Nonetheless, steps have been taken to lower the risk of legal action against troops and reservists who travel abroad.

There is no explicit directive for troops not to travel abroad due to the threat posed by HRF. But the Israeli military recently announced that it would no longer allow soldiers to be identified by name in the media and the Foreign Ministry issued a public warning that social media posts could be used to bring legal action against them in other countries.

"Hind Rajab Foundation is very good at generating headlines," said Michael Freilich, a Belgian politician with the Phlegmish nationalist and conservative New Phlegmish Alliance party. "They try to make themselves bigger than they are. They are the darlings of the press, mainly because of their extreme rhetoric."

ANTI ASSIMILATION, PRO NASRALLAH
Abou Jahjah and Hassoun have been activists together since at least 2000, when they founded the Arab European League, a Belgium-based political organization resisting societal integration for Moslem immigrants colonists, which Abou Jahjah has described as "cultural rape."

The group, which also has a branch in The Netherlands, has been accused of stoking antisemitism and supporting terror.

In 2001, Abou Jahjah met His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...>
, the leader of the Lebanese Shiite terror group Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy group committed to Israel’s destruction.

"We spoke for only an hour, but his aura, smile, brilliance, and kindness are unforgettable. I am fortunate to have lived in his era and witnessed his leadership," Abou Jahjah recalled on X, after Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli Arclight airstrike

in September.

Abou Jahjah also took Hezbollah officials on tours in Europa

interview, Abou Jahjah proclaimed his Hezbollah membership and said "he was still very proud" of the military training he received from the terror group.

Hassoun is also on record supporting Hezbollah and Hamas, though he has kept a lower profile than Abou Jahjah.

Just days after the October 7 atrocities, Hassoun wrote on his X account, "I condemn Hamas for not having taken 500 or 1,000 hostages instead of just 200."

According to Freilich, modern Belgium’s first-ever Orthodox Jewish politician, Abou Jahjah and Hassoun are fringe figures in Belgium, even if they have the support of some pro-Paleostinian movements, as well as that of some extreme-left Israeli organizations.

"The majority of the people, including the Moslem population, do not support them," he said, noting that both had made unsuccessful forays into local politics.

"Abou Jahjah tried several times to be elected to office, but was unsuccessful. He was also fired from De Standaard, where he was a columnist, after he praised a car-ramming attack in Jerusalem where several Israeli soldiers were killed," Freilich continued.

In the Belgian city of Willebroek, the Iedereen 2830 party was forced to boot Hassoun last month, after the mayor said he would not form a coalition with Death Eaters.

Last month, Haroon Raza, an HRF attorney was dropped from a panel at the European Paleostinian Network Conference held in Copenhagen. HRF claimed in a statement on X that his participation was canceled after information was "disseminated in the Israeli press, falsely linking us to resistance movements in Lebanon and Paleostine" and that other invitees refused to participate in the same panel as Raza.

Nevertheless, HRF and its founders have still managed to tap into a wellspring of anti-Israel sentiment prevalent in Europe since the October 7 attack.

"The war has hardened public opposition to Israel’s treatment of the Paleostinians and even turned many supporters of Israel into critics," Khaled Diab, a Belgian-Egyptian journalist and author, told The Times of Israel. He described the conflict in Gaza as "the most unpopular war Israel has ever been involved in."

Diab said that even if unsuccessful in court, the work of HRF can act as a "deterrent" to troops who "know they can potentially be pursued."

Robert Neufeld, a post-doctoral fellow at the Minerva Center for the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions at the University of Haifa, told The Times of Israel that while no cases filed by HRF prove clear crimes of humanity or war crimes, the group "is a real threat and it should be dealt with as such. They are not something to dismiss."

Neufeld, who served in numerous positions in the Military Advocate General Corps and the office of the Military Ombudsman, stressed that winning on the battlefield in Gaza is not the end of the story, as every case that they file and make public helps to damage Israel.

"They are trying to achieve much more than the specific person that they are after. They are trying to hurt or damage the IDF in general and they want to stop people from serving as combatants. They want to portray Israel as a criminal state and the IDF as criminals," Neufeld said.

"We need to understand that wars are not only fought on the battlefield, but on social media, in the courts, and it affects Jewish communities abroad," he added.

Anne Hertzberg, a legal adviser with the Israel-based NGO Monitor who has tracked the group since it emerged in September, said that she believes the main purpose of HRF is not to file lawsuits against soldiers, but "to deter, and harass, Israelis and Jews across the globe. That’s their purpose."

"They are trying to disrupt Western security cooperation and cause trouble with Israel’s relationship with other countries. There are lots of things we don’t know about it, and we have to look into it. Every country where they are operating in, they need to be investigated," she said.

Though the foundation is registered with Belgian authorities, little is known about how its activities are being funded.

"We don’t know who they are working with, what kind of occupational support is behind them," said Hertzberg.

Both she and Freilich called on governments to examine who may secretly stand behind the effort. "This is not something they can do on their own, this isn’t cheap," Hertzberg added.

Israel, meanwhile, is attempting to fight back in the court of public opinion. Right now, when one googles the name of the organization, the first result is a sponsored link that takes users to an Israeli government page with a report claiming to "unmask" HRF’s terror-backing founders.

"Israel should make it clear that Abou Jahjah and Hassoun are linked to Hezbollah," Freilich said. "I hope that Europe will not stand for it, but it doesn’t seem to be a priority for the police or government at the moment. They don’t want to antagonize the largest Paleostinian community in Europe."

Neufeld cautioned that even if Israel manages to tear down Abou Jahjah and Hassoun, it would not solve the larger issue of groups seeking to prosecute Israelis abroad on war crimes allegations, trumped up or not.

"Tomorrow it will be someone else," he said.

Lawfare: Hind Rajab Foundation says it filed criminal complaint against Chikli that forced him to cancel Belgium trip
2025-01-29
[IsraelTimes] The Hind Rajab Foundation
…a project launched last October by the March 30 Movement, itself named in memory of the Palestinian general strike on that date in 1976 in the West Bank against the Israeli government, since referred to as Land Day. Both groups are lawfare boiler rooms generating endless lawsuits against Israelis and those who support Israel in Western Europe and elsewhere, and between times propagandizing against Israel using the currently fashionable far left shibboleths. March 30 is the hobby of lawyer Haroon Raza, appearing at the end of 2023, but at bottom it’s a Hezbollah front founded by Dyab Abou Jahjah (Dyab Abu Jahjah) …
says that its president recently filed a criminal complaint against Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli for allegedly “making terrorist threats against him.”

Chikli was forced to cancel a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels this week, reportedly over concerns that pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel groups would seek a warrant for his arrest after Belgium officials said that he would not have diplomatic immunity due to the unofficial nature of the visit.

The foundation, which is named for a 6-year-old Gazan girl killed in January 2024, has sparked alarm in Israel recently by seeking the arrest of Israeli officials and soldiers traveling abroad over alleged war crimes.

The foundation says in a statement that its founder, Dyab Abou Jahjah,
…a serial founder of Hezbollah fronts — his first, the Arab European League, was stirring up trouble between Moslem colonists and native Europeans since 2002……
filed a criminal complaint accusing Chikli of “making terrorist threats against him, a Belgian national, with the intent to intimidate and suppress the foundation’s advocacy for justice and accountability for war crimes.”

The complaint cites a comment made by Chikli on X on January 6, in which he told Abou Jahjah to “watch your pager,” in reference to the Hezbollah pagers detonated by Israel in a September operation.

“By evoking this event, Mr. Chikli threats Mr. Abou Jahjah with death or at least with the intentional infliction of blows and injuries resulting in mutilation,” the foundation says, charging that Chikli’s comment “constitutes an act of terrorism under Belgian law.”

The foundation claims that the reason Chikli wouldn’t have had diplomatic immunity while in Belgium was not because his visit was unofficial, but rather due to “Belgium’s commitment to upholding its international obligations to address crimes effectively.”

which has sparked alarm in Israel by seeking the arrest of Israelis traveling abroad over alleged war crimes, claimed to have filed a case with unspecified "Italian authorities" against Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, who heads the Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories, a Defense Ministry body known by its acronym COGAT.

The foundation said it also filed a case with the International Criminal Court in the Hague against Alian, asking it to issue an international arrest warrant for "genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes."

There was no immediate comment from Italian judicial authorities or from The Hague on the request.

In a statement announcing the request, the foundation claimed that Alian played a key role in overseeing policies the ICC has previously deemed warrant the arrests of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant.

"Following October 7, 2023, he supervised and enforced a total siege on Gaza, cutting off essential resources such as food, water, electricity and medical supplies," it said.

"Under Alian’s leadership, COGAT coordinated military actions that targeted civilian infrastructure and imposed collective punishment on Gaza’s population.".

COGAT is responsible for Israel’s day-to-day management of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including the entry of humanitarian aid and other goods into the Strip.

The complaint also noted a statement made by Alian on October 10, 2023, in which he fumed at Gazooks celebrating the slaughter of Israelis days earlier and called the action of Hamas

"Human animals must be treated as such. There will be no electricity and no water [in Gaza], there will only be destruction," he said then. "You wanted hell, you will get hell."

IDF soldier who escaped war crimes investigation in Brazil arrives in Israel

[IsraelTimes] Yuval Vagdani was subject of probe for allegedly filming himself destroying residential building in Gaza; says having to flee Brazil ‘felt a little like a bullet in the heart’

The Israeli soldier who was forced to flee Brazil after the country’s Federal Court ordered police to open a war crimes investigation into him has returned to Israel, according to Hebrew media reports.

The soldier, who was named as Yuval Vagdani, landed in Israel Wednesday morning after he was forced to hurriedly end his vacation in Brazil. He spoke to the Kan broadcaster about his ordeal after he landed.

"I woke up in the morning, opened the phone and suddenly saw eight calls — the Foreign Ministry, my brothers, my mother, consuls," he told Kan. "I knew something was up."

Vagdani said he was in Brazil for his "dream trip" after a long stint in the reserves, and that he had planned the trip for over four years.

Being forced to flee Brazil "felt a little like a bullet in the heart," he said.

According to Channel 12, Vagdani was "smuggled" into Argentina

with the help of the Foreign Ministry, and from there was able to fly to Miami, and then Israel.

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, Vagdani told Channel 12 that he learned from his mistakes and wouldn’t upload videos from Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. . "I won’t go back to Brazil again," he added.

The Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar had ordered the ministry’s Consular Section and the embassy in Brazil to contact the man and his family, and they "accompanied him throughout the event until his swift and safe departure from Brazil."

The complaint to the Brazilian court was reportedly submitted by the Hind Rajab Foundation, which is named after a 6-year-old girl, who was killed in Gaza in January. Her death was blamed on the IDF, but an initial probe conducted by the army said that there were no troops in the area at the time.

The organization identifies IDF soldiers via social media content they post from their operations in Gaza and then alerts local law enforcement when they travel abroad in an attempt to get them arrested and prosecuted for war crimes.

Its feed on X is full of soldiers it has identified by name and photo and the locations they have traveled to.

According to the Brazilian Metrópoles news outlet, Vagdani was being investigated in Brazil under suspicion of being involved "in the destruction of a residential building in the Gaza Strip while using explosives outside of combat" in November. The Hind Rajab Foundation claims the building allegedly destroyed with the soldier’s involvement was being used as a shelter for Paleostinians who had been displaced by the war and said its complaint consisted of more than 500 pages of evidence that the soldier was complicit in war crimes.

In a post on X on Saturday night, the organization urged Brazilian authorities to arrest the soldier, claiming that it had information that the Israeli government was helping the soldier escape the country, and that "there are also indications that evidence is being destroyed."

"They wrote that I murdered thousands of children and turned it into a 500-page document," Vagdani said. "All that was there was a picture of me in uniform in Gaza."

Vagdani was a survivor of the Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
attack on the Nova festival on October 7, 2023, during the massive onslaught on southern Israel in which murderous Moslems killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took 251 hostages, starting the ongoing war in Gaza. More than 360 of the victims were murdered at the music festival.

Vagdani survived the attack by running for many kilometers until he reached safety, narrowly dodging Hamas gunfire multiple times on the way.

On Sunday, the Foreign Ministry added that it "draws the attention of Israelis to posts on social media about their military service, and to the fact that anti-Israeli elements may exploit these posts to initiate futile legal proceedings against them."

According to Kan, none of the Hind Rajab Foundation’s accusations have resulted in any arrests, although its actions are of concern to the Foreign Ministry.

The ex-Hezbollah terrorist behind Hind Rajab Foundation, doxxing IDF soldiers

[Jpost] A leaked Israeli Diaspora Affairs Ministry profile on Dyab Abou Jahjah described him as a "former Hezbollah operative."

Dyab Abou Jahjah,
…alternately Dyab Abu Jahjah, he emigrated to Belgium from his native Lebanon in 1991 in pursuit of higher education, then stayed on to cause trouble…
the man behind the Hind Rajab Foundation, which has been doxxing Israeli soldiers and seeking legal action against them in foreign states, admitted to joining Hezbollah as a youth and implied that he was returning to Lebanon to fight in the 2006 war, according to press releases by his previous organization and an old New York Times interview.

The Arab European League (AEL)
…while it claimed to be pan-Arabist, attachment to Shiism and Iran appeared fairly early on. Active in Belgium and the Netherlands, they harassed police in the name of preventing individual and institutional Islamophobia, led anti-Israel protests that gleefully turned into riots since 2002, and instigated attacks on Jews. At one point they teamed up with a Maoist political party to run in Belgian elections, peaking at about a quarter of a percent of the votes, which was not enough to get a seat anywhere….
that he founded, according to the Internet Archive, shared on its website a 2003 New York Times profile piece in which the activist admitted to his Hezbollah affiliation. The article related that “he said, he joined the Hezbollah resistance against Israel.”

“I had some military training, I’m still very proud of that,” he told the NYT in 2003.

Abou Jahjah also admitted that he had lied about a falling out with Hezbollah leadership when he was seeking asylum in Belgium.

“Most asylum seekers invent a story, and I said I had had a conflict with the Hezbollah leaders,” he said. “It was just a low political trick to get my papers.”

A leaked Israeli Diaspora Affairs Ministry profile on Abou Jahjah described him as a “former Hezbollah operative.”Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli said on Sunday night that Abou Jahjah had previously declared ties to Hezbollah, and claimed that he had led “Hezbollah tours in Europe.”

According to NYT, Flemish Nationalist Party member Filip Dewinter described him as “a foreign agent, directed and paid from abroad.”

The Arab European League, which its founder described in a 2005 letter as “an Arab Nationalist organization that upholds Islam as a source of inspiration,” routinely published statements from Hezbollah on its website and articles praising the group, and appeared to have published a 2007 interview with current Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem.

Abou Jahjah has a long history of support for terrorist organizations besides Hezbollah, issuing support for the October 7 terrorist attacks.

“These Palestinian resistance fighters entering these settlements are all refugees whose parents were ethnically cleansed from these villages in 1948/1967,” he wrote on X/Twitter on October 7. “Anyone neglecting this fact is not seriously engaging in a conversation but is spreading Israeli propaganda, whether willfully or not.”

Abou Jahjah and Lebanon-born Hind Rajab Foundation co-founder Karim Hassoun both signed a 2009 appeal calling for the removal of Hamas and other Palestinian groups from the European list of proscribed terrorist organizations.

This call echoed 2002 AEL statements demanding that “all Palestinian resistance groups would be taken off the terrorist list.

“The decision of Europe to extend its so-called terrorist list to include Palestinian resistance organizations is totally unfair and unacceptable,” the league said.

“It is unfair because it is criminalizing the struggle of a people that is under siege and under attack by one of the mightiest armies on earth, a people fighting for its freedom with the limited possibilities it has. If you want the Palestinian people to stop using suicide-bombings, give it the possibility to destroy the tanks that are blowing Palestinian children into pieces.

“AEL will keep on supporting the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people until the total defeat of Zionism and the total liberation of Palestine, and the establishing of a democratic Palestinian state with Jerusalem (Al Quds) as its capital and the return of all Palestinian refugees to their homes.”

SUPPORTER OF HEZBOLLAH
CHIKLI ALSO noted on Sunday that Hassoun was also a supporter of Hezbollah, having been photographed wearing a Hezbollah hat and issuing praise of Samir Kuntar, who led the murders of members of an Israeli family in 1979.

“During his tenure as head of the AEL, the organization was convicted in a Dutch court for disseminating Holocaust denial content,” the Diaspora affairs minister said.

Dutch court acquits Arab group over Holocost denial cartoon
2010-04-23
A Dutch court has acquitted an Arab cultural group of hate crime for publishing a cartoon on its website questioning the Holocaust.

The Dutch arm of the Arab European League said it had wanted to highlight what it said was double standards. It published the cartoon last year after a decision by Dutch prosecutors not to put MP Geert Wilders on trial for distributing cartoons of Muhammad.

The court in Utrecht said the group itself was not denying the Holocaust. It said the league had published the cartoon with a text explaining its purpose.

"Freedom of speech need not come second in this case to the right of others to be free from discrimination," the court statement said.

"The right of the AEL to make such a statement must be guaranteed, given the specific context and intention of the case."
Outside of fighting words, people have a right to say stupid stuff. The quickest way for someone to be labeled a goof, a moron and a hater is for that person to deny the Holocaust. If someone wants that sort of attention, they're welcome to it.

Abu Jahjah returns to Belgium from Lebanon...
2006-08-23
...and has nothing to say about his summer vacation.
Dyab Abou Jahjah has returned to Belgium four weeks after leaving the country to allegedly help the Lebanese resistance against Israel. The controversial founder of the Arab European League (AEL) left Antwerp for his homeland of Lebanon at the start of the Israeli offensive against Hezbollah. Abou Jahjah had said he was planning to assist the Shiite organisation against Israel's attacks. He refused at the time to elaborate further, but later wrote on the AEL website that he had started a journey that might be his last.
Would it were true. He prolly was hanging in Nasty's bunker, helping him change his undies.
And now, upon his return to Belgium, Abou Jahjah is again tightlipped about his actions in southern Lebanon. The extreme-right Flemish Interest had earlier said rightfully that Abou Jahjah should not be allowed to return to Belgium. "There is no way back after he said on television and in newspapers that he openly supports the side of the Islamic fundamentalist terror organisation," Flemish Interest leader Filip Dewinter said. "Abou Jahjah cannot and may never step back into this country." Abou Jahjah is the driving force behind the AEL, which campaigns for Iranian immigrant Islamic rights in Belgium and the Netherlands. The Flemish Interest has long campaigned against immigration and the continued entry of Muslims into Belgium.

Belgian extremist leader Dyab Abu Jahjah wants to go to Lebanon to fight “the Zionists”(Tm)
2006-07-15
The Belgian citizen from Lebanese descent Dyab Abu Jahjah, founder of the Arab European League, posted a message on the website of this organisation (www.arabeuropean.org) two days ago, expressing his will to go back to Lebanon. Under the title “The homeland is calling”, the post of Abu Jahjah leads to think that he wants to go to Lebanon to fight “the Zionists”.

He wrote: “The Zionists will not get us on our knees, their pride and arrogance can not match our belief in the justice of our cause, and in the evil that they represent in this world (…) This might be the last text I will write before going home on a trip that might be my last (…) I lived my life for this Nation, and not a hair in me will hesitate in laying it down for this Nation too. The fight for Arab Unity, Liberation, Freedom and Socialism is the essence of Justice in the Homeland and beyond. Some people call it a fight for god, some people call it a fight for mankind, in essence it is one and the same fight for freedom and justice (…) When oppression rises above the sun to cover it, and injustice defies the wind and the Wicked and the Evil feast on the Flesh of innocent men, women and children. From within the darkness and the orgy of blood, a sword will shine, and the brave will murmur: “What a beautiful day to die””
He might possibly go, but I doubt it. The head cheeses talk a great martyrdom, but they're usually running for their lives when the rockets hit. This is directed more toward the rubes, who're willing to go off and do the bidding of their local holy man or Fearless Leader™...
Founded a few years ago, the Arab European League (approximately 1 000 members) is regarded by most of the European security services as an extremist organization advocating a communitarian model of society. For instance, the League asks the recognition of Arabic as an official European language. In the past, the League had various problems for its anti-Semitic messages. Dyab Abu Jahjah himself was accused to be linked to the Hezbollah, but he is more clearly aligned on the Syrian Baathist policy, both nationalist and socialist.

AEL acquitted of forming private militia in Antwerp
2006-06-03
But the head cheeses are still in trouble...
Antwerp Court ordered Arab European League (AEL) leaders Dyab Abou Jahjah, Ahmed Azzuz and Youssef Rahimi to stand trial on Thursday for their role in the Borgerhout riots after the murder of Mohamed Achrak in 2002. The public prosecution had also wanted to place the three suspects on trial on charges they operated as a private militia keeping tabs on police during the same period. But the defence lawyer for the three suspects, Kris Luyckx, said charges were dismissed during a hearing in chambers.

The 27-year-old Achrak was shot and killed on 26 November 2002 by his 66-year-old neighbour who was suffering from severe psychiatric problems. Hundreds of immigrants rioted on the streets of Borgerhout that night, smashing car and shop windows and clashing with police. Unrest continued for several days and more than 100 rioters were arrested.

The public prosecution said Abou Jahjah, Azzuz, Rahimi and eight members of the AEL incited the riots. But Antwerp Court only ordered the three leaders to face trial on Thursday. The three men will face charges of obstructing traffic, insubordination to police, destruction of 20 vehicles and numerous shop windows, assaulting police officers, threats and defamation.

Jews against Islam: The War of Cartoons

by
Ernesto Cienfuegos
La Voz de Aztlan

Los Angeles, Alta California - February 8, 2006 - (ACN) It should now be readily apparent that pro-Israel Jews in Europe and the USA are purposely fomenting violence by Muslims against the West. The constant provocations against Islam by Jews has now placed the world in dire danger. These vile instigations by International Zionists is by design and is, in addition, endangering the well being of our Mexican-American population in the Southwest. It is time to speak out against these nefarious Jewish provocateurs before it is too late.

By now our readership should be aware of the current violence, property damage and deaths caused by the desecration of the Islamic faith by Jews when they published sacrilegious cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in their newspapers and other publications. The purpose of these anti-Islamic cartoons are to enrage Muslims against the West and to create animosity between the people of Europe and the USA against Muslims. The Jews are hoping for a reaction by Europeans and Americans against those they perceive to be enemies of Zionist Israel. They have already succeeded in pushing the USA to attack Iraq and are working diligently to do the same against Iran. The Mexican-American and Latino communities in the USA should not fall victims to Jewish dirty tricks.

Here in Los Angeles, the principal talk radio stations are constantly broadcasting extreme hate and insults against Arabs, Muslims and Islamic religious faiths. There are three Jewish radio talk hosts that are particularly venomous. They are Dennis Prager, Bill Handel and Michael Medved. Dennis Prager and Michael Medved are with KRLA and Bill Handel is with KFI. The programming against Islam on KFI is extremely obscene and the radio station has received many complaints from Islamic, Muslim and Arab civil rights organizations and individuals. There are now numerous documented instances in which the Prophet Muhammad and the Holy Koran have been shown ugly disrespect by Jewish talk radio hosts. Bill Handel proposed that the new Iraqi constitution should include the phrase "all civil unions between consenting Iraqi adults and loving camels and goats will be recognized." Another comment said on the radio concerns the "toilet flushing of the Koran" incident at Guantanamo. The comment, "They should have wiped their asses with the pages of the Koran" was broadcast throughout Southern California. KFI also poked dastardly fun at the deaths of Muslims that occurred during the most recent Hajj in Mecca.

There is no question that the Jews are creating great problems in the world, the USA and here in Los Angeles. They want others to strike out against Islam on their behalf as is being done presently against Iraq and possibly soon against Iran. Many more Mexican-American soldiers will die or be maimed for life because of the Jews.

On Saturday the Arab European League posted a cartoon on their website to teach the Jews a lesson. The cartoon shows Anne Frank in bed with Adolf Hitler. Hitler is pictured saying to Anne Frank “Write this one in your diary, Anne.” The cartoon is published below. The "War of the Cartoons" has begun! It would be great if this war would simply be fought with cartoons but the reality is far more sinister. We are presently witnessing a coming cataclysmic war against Iran ... a war that is primarily being instigated by the Jews!

A nicely done editorial from what is otherwise the dhimmitown of Toronto
National Post
Published: Wednesday, February 15, 2006
As reported on the National Post's front page yesterday, Iran's best-selling newspaper, Hamshahri, is staging a competition to find the best cartoons mocking the Holocaust. Presumably, the editors think this is a clever move to pay back the Western world for a Danish newspaper's publication of cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad. In fact, the stunt will only reinforce the revulsion many Westerners feel toward the medieval intolerance and backwardness exhibited by Islamist extremists.

The story of the Danish cartoons is well-known: They were not published as an expression of hatred against Muslims, but rather as a blow against censorship. And while some of the images were provocative -- depicting Muhammad with a bomb on his head, for instance -- the object of the satire was fair game: the divergence between the prophet's honourable teachings and their perverse interpretation by terrorists.

Most Western media outlets -- including this one -- elected not to republish the images. Though we respect those magazines and newspapers that decided otherwise, we judged it would be needlessly provocative to publish images that had already led to violence in many parts of the world. But we do not see the cartoons as hate speech, as some Canadian Muslim leaders are alleging. Rather, they lie within the modern Western tradition of subjecting all icons -- religious or otherwise -- to irreverent treatment. As numerous commentators have noted, we live in a society where a urine-soaked crucifix is lauded as high art. By this standard, the Danish cartoons are mild fare.

Cartoons mocking the Holocaust are different. They intentionally belittle a genocide that killed six-million Jews. In so doing, they communicate the message that anti-Semitism and further Jewish slaughter are acceptable.

Of course, we doubt such fine points are of interest to the editors of Hamshahri. After all, they work in a country whose President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is a Holocaust denier who rhapsodizes about the immolation of Israel.

But even if Hamshahri embraces Mr. Ahmadinejad's agenda of hate, the newspaper should shut down its perverse cartoon competition for the simple reason that it casts Islam in disrepute. On this score, it is worth quoting a fine column by The New York Times's David Brooks, published last week:

"You want us to know how you feel. You in the Arab European League published a cartoon of Hitler in bed with Anne Frank so we in the West would understand how offended you were by those Danish cartoons. You at [Hamshahri] are holding a Holocaust cartoon contest so we'll also know how you feel. Well, I saw the Hitler-Anne Frank cartoon: the two have just had sex and Hitler says to her, 'Write this one in your diary, Anne.' But I still don't know how you feel. I still don't feel as if I should burn embassies or behead people ... I still don't feel your rage. I don't feel threatened by a sophomoric cartoon, even one as tasteless as that one."

Muslims responding to the publication of the Danish cartoons have rioted, issued death threats, killed people, burned embassies. Yet when Iran puts forward its filthy cartoon contest glorifying the killing of Jews, there will be no violence. Jews and other civilized people will respond as civilized people always do -- with letters to the editor, diplomatic gestures and articles like this one.

In other words, the editors of Hamshahri are making the case against Islamist bigotry -- at least as it is presently manifest -- in a way that a thousand Danish newspaper cartoons could not.
