Israel Brands as 'Terrorist' Palestinian Student Group |
2020-10-24 |
[AnNahar] Paleostinian officials on Thursday denounced a decision by Israel to brand the student branch of the hardline Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine as a "terrorist" organization. Israel, the United States and the European Union ![]() consider the leftist bad boy PFLP as a terrorist organization. On Wednesday, Israeli General Tamir Yadai said in a statement that the army now considers the PFLP's student branch of as an "illegal and terrorist" entity. Would that be the Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades — known before 2001 as the Red Eagles Brigades — which draws membership from West Bank universities? It happens to be the PFLP’s armed wing, but a quick search reveals no other potential candidates. Yadai, who heads the Israeli army's Central Command in the occupied West Bank, claimed the branch had been for years behind "destructive acts that led to the deaths of many Israeli citizens."He accused the PFLP of "recruiting young men to commit acts of terrorism." Paleostinian social development minister Ahmed Majdalani said the designation was "dangerous" and stressed the student branch of the PFLP was an "unarmed" body. Majdalani also voiced concern the Israeli move could lead to a crackdown on young Paleostinian activists. According to PFLP official Ahmad al-Tanani, Israeli authorities had arrested more than 60 Paleostinian students since the beginning of the year. The PFLP is a fiercely anti-Israeli Marxist-Leninist group that pioneered plane hijackings in the 1970s to highlight the Paleostinian cause. Israeli jets strike Gaza multiple times in fresh response to rocket
2016-08-22 | |
[IsraelTimes] Hours after missile hits Sderot, IDF carries out several new raids against Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, targets in northern Strip Israeli jets carried out several rounds of fresh The Israel Defense forces said jets attacked "several" Hamas positions in the Strip in response to a rocket that struck inside the city of Sderot earlier in the day. "The attack on the terror infrastructures is a response to the high trajectory[indirect] fire out at the city of Sderot earlier today that is a threat to the security of Israeli citizens and damages Israeli illusory sovereignty," the IDF said in a statement just before midnight Sunday. It did not indicate how many raids it had carried out. There was no immediate word on casualties inside Gazoo. The large-scale shelling would indicate the most intense Israeli reprisal attack on Gazoo since the sides fought a bloody war in 2014, and could signal a shift in policy by newly installed Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, considered a hard-liner. The rocket fire was claimed by two smaller Paleostinian terror groups, but Israel says it holds Hamas responsible for any attacks emanating from Gazoo and routinely responds to such launches with strikes against the organization. The rocket launch on Sderot struck inside the border town, but caused no casualties or damage. The attack was the second serious rocket strike from Gazoo since Liberman took office in May, following a strike that hit an empty kindergarten in July. A Hamas official told Israel Radio the group was not interested in a renewal of violence. However earlier Sunday night, Hamas held a large rally in the southern Gazoo town of Rafah, parading rockets through the streets and threatening to renew fighting if Israel did not lift a decade-old blockade on the enclave. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine (PFLP) took responsibility for the rocket launch shortly after the attack. The PFLP’s military arm, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, told local media: "Our people have the right to practice all forms of resistance in response to the crimes and hubris of the occupation." The rocket launch was apparently in response to the ongoing imprisonment of Bilal Kayed, a PFLP member who has been kept in prison through an Israeli detention order, despite being scheduled for release earlier this summer, after serving a 14.5-year sentence. However, denial ain't just a river in Egypt... at least one smaller salafist ...also known as Wahhabis, salafists are against innovation in religion or in anything else. They eat the same things every meal of every day and all their children are named Abdullah or Mohammed. Not all salafists are takfiris, but all takfiris are salafists. They are fond of praying five times a day and killing infidels... group ties to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... also took responsibility for the attack. Launches from Gazoo are infrequent and usually carried out by small fringe groups without the approval of Gazoo’s Hamas rulers.
Palestinian security sources in Gaza said several targets in the northern Strip were struck by Israeli fire, and that a reservoir in Beit Hanoun was damaged. Israel also hit a base belonging to Hamas’s military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, in nearby Beit Lahiya, witnesses said. Palestinian health and security sources said between two and five people were lightly wounded by Israel’s retaliatory fire. This was the second Israeli bombardment of the day. Immediately following the rocket attack from the Gaza Strip on Sunday afternoon, Israeli aircraft and tanks also targeted Hamas installations in the northern Gaza Strip.

Brigades say fighters pushed back Israeli force in Gaza |
2011-01-04 |
[Ma'an] A hard boy group in the southern Gazoo Strip said they fired mortar shells at Israeli military vehicles operating east of Khan Younis on Monday afternoon. An Israeli military spokeswoman said she had received no reports of attacks on Israeli forces operating inside Gazoo. Nope. Nothing here. Probably just trying to impress the chicks at the new mall. The An-Naser Salah Ad-Din Brigades, affiliated with the Popular Resistance Committees, said their artillery unit was able to launch two shells at a force which entered the Strip at 12:35 p.m. Okay, boys, that's it...it's ZamZam time! The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, said their fighters also launched a number of mortar shells at the same Israeli unit. EAT...SOMETHING...ZIONIST OPPRESSORS! Late Sunday night, two resistance groups claimed to have launched projectiles at Israeli targets. A wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, said fighters clashed with Israel forces at the southern Kissufim military gate. The group also claimed to have fired mortar shells at an army post east of Khan Younis' Abu Aj-Jeen neighborhood. Meanwhile National Resistance Brigades fighters, affiliated to the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Paleostine, said they launched projectiles toward an Israeli military post. Wow, it's a veritable...projectilepalooza! An Israeli army spokeswoman said she was not aware of any shells launched from Gazoo overnight. I dunno. Maybe it was the voices in their head that told them they did it. Bet it's getting crowded in there... Look at the bright side for them. This way they can say they did it and still live to talk about it. And when the Zionists deny it ever happened, that's just confirmation, 'cause they're evil Joooz and all. |
