Brace for impact
We are seeing signs of attacks on Rantburg, coming from Chinese, African and Latin American clients.
The attacks were very strong, albeit not as strong as before, and they didn't last very long.
However we now have a means, a system as it were, for detecting the directions of the attacks and stopping them. Once the means in this latest case were implemented, the attacks stopped.
With the upcoming festivities in Iran and the midterm elections, these attacks can easily be interpreted as a prelude, a probe for what may be coming.

Interesting how the left, radicals, socialist, communists, and even our own Government will pull out all stops to keep actual facts and truth from being openly shared and discussed.

You know they're targeting those computerized voting machines as well, no matter what the Democrats say, because the Democrats are in bed with the Chinese.

No Russia Russia, Russia?
Before I retired I would check my web server logs every day and the Russians were second only to the Chinese in probes for vulnerabilities. I found it interesting that the Ukrainians were third. I kinda think the Russians and Ukrainians were looking for credit card numbers and Social Security numbers because they were mere criminals looking for something they could use to steal money. The Chinese had a full division of the PLA devoted to hacking in the search for anything they could use to undermine our country.

Maybe for credit card numbers or IP addresses but this site has a low number of views. Yesterday’s total was less than 100. In terms of political influence, those days are behind us.

[ShabelleMedia] Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), working with other security forces, has arrested a man accused of carrying out a grenade attack on a security checkpoint in Mogadishu’s Wadajir district, the agency said.
The suspect, identified as Abdissalaan Yacquub Nur, also known as Abdissamad, was arrested following an attack shortly after sunset prayers on Monday at a checkpoint in the Hawl-Wadaag area of Wadajir district, according to NISA.
The attack maimed three civilians and one security officer, the agency said.
NISA said security forces apprehended the suspect during a swift operation. Investigators also obtained footage from closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, which the agency said forms part of the ongoing investigation.
According to preliminary information released by NISA, the suspect is believed to have been part of a network involved in organizing attacks aimed at undermining security. The agency alleged that he had conducted reconnaissance on security locations in Mogadishu and helped transport grenades.
NISA said it was investigating the suspect’s alleged role in at least 10 grenade attacks across the capital. The incidents reportedly occurred in the districts of Kaxda, Garasbaaley, Dayniile, Daarusalaam, Wadajir, Hodan, Kaaraan and Heliwaa.
Those attacks left 12 people, including civilians and security personnel, maimed, according to the agency.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and the suspect’s arrest does not establish his guilt.

[Regnum] At least 47 Orthodox Christians were killed in armed groups' attacks on three villages in Ethiopia's Oromia region. This was reported on October 24 by the local publication Borkena.
The attack occurred late in the evening of October 23 in Shirka County, Arsi Zone. Armed men surrounded houses in the villages of Birbo, Chole, and Sole-Guna, blocked escape routes, and opened fire on residents. They also set fire to homes and looted property.
Relatives of the victims claim that local armed groups and radical groups from the neighboring Bale zone participated in the attack. They also accused local authorities of inaction. During the attack, residents of the nearby town of Gobesa contacted the police, but they claim they refused to assist, citing a lack of orders.
Many families lost their homes and property. Local residents are clearing the rubble of burned-out houses and preparing to bury the dead.
Attacks on Orthodox communities have occurred in the Oromia region before. Armed groups have raided villages, setting homes and religious buildings on fire. The ongoing violence has forced thousands of people to flee their homes.
On the same day, October 23, in Jordan, three gunmen opened fire on parishioners gathered for a funeral at the Orthodox Church of St. George. The attack killed nine people and injured 27 more. ISIS (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) claimed responsibility for the attack.
Russia strongly condemned the terrorist attack.
That’ll fix the problem.
The Foreign Ministry stated that the attack was aimed at undermining interfaith peace and harmony in Jordanian society. Moscow expressed condolences to the leadership and people of Jordan, the families and friends of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The only thing the two attacks have in common is murderous Muslims vs innocent Christians.
🔴 The Houthi group withdraws reinforcements from the Taiz fronts and deploys them toward the western coast.
Since yesterday morning, Coalition aircraft have been conducting intense airstrikes on Houthi militia positions in Al-Makha and areas along the western coast, inflicting heavy losses on the group.
Under pressure from the strikes, the militia has withdrawn military units from the #Taiz fronts and transferred them to the western coast to compensate for its losses and fill the gaps in its forces.
This move reveals the extent of the pressure and attrition the militia is facing, placing it in a dilemma of redistributing its forces between active fronts; reinforcing the coast at the expense of the Taiz fronts means it must shift its military weight from one front to another to confront the successive strikes.
[Jpost] Essex Police arrested a man on Friday after a TikTok video showed someone spitting on a statue honoring British politician Sir David Amess, who was murdered in 2021.
A pro-Paleostinian activist was arrested on Friday after posting a video on TikTok showing someone spitting on a statue of murdered British politician David Amess, according to multiple news outlets.
Essex Police said they arrested a man in his 30s in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, on Friday after receiving a report about the video on Wednesday and launching an investigation.
The BBC reported that police questioned the man on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offense, and he remained in jug.
In the now-deleted TikTok video, a person was seen approaching the statue and saying, "These people were just bowing to this p----.He voted for the Iraq War. Shame."
A second clip showed a person pointing at the monument and saying "shame" before spitting in the statue's face.
The TikTok user, who goes by the name "Angry Jesus," initially denied being the person in the footage.
"It wasn’t me who spat on Sir David. But if I catch the person who did it, I’ll... #grrrrrr," he wrote in the video's caption, The Telegraph reported.
The Telegraph added that other videos posted to the account featured criticism of Israel and expressed pro-Paleostinian views.

[Breitbart] Activists in Mexico are calling out the kidnapping of more than 100 farmers in the cartel-controlled state of Guerrero. Activists claim that La Familia Michoacana is holding the victims as a way to pressure locals into letting them establish a base of operations in the region.
In a streamed interview, Catholic Father Filiberto Velazquez — director of the Minerva Bello Center for the Rights of Victims of Violence — exposed the kidnapping and revealed that the terrorist cartel has managed to stay one step ahead of any security operations carried out by Mexico’s government.
While details of the mass kidnappings remain unclear, the issue came to light in recent days when local farmers in Guerrero began holding protests asking for the release of seven farmers who had been taken and held captive for 23 days by cartel gunmen. The protests prompted Mexico’s government to act, sending out a series of search parties led by military forces. After several days of pressure, the criminal organization released six of the seven kidnapped victims.
However, according to Velazquez, the victims revealed terrifying information about having been taken to a place that had over 100 kidnapping victims, all held by the cartel gunmen. The victims claimed that due to the search operations by military forces, cartel gunmen used several trucks to move all the victims to various locations, always staying one step ahead of authorities. Almost as if they had prior knowledge of the government's plans?
According to Velzquez, during their captivity, the seven released farmers were subjected to physical and psychological torture, including severe beatings and threats of murder. The Catholic priest claimed that since their release, Guerrero government officials have turned a blind eye to the case and have failed to provide any care or support, leaving the farmers to cover their own medical expenses.
The reason for the kidnappings is linked to a land grab by the terror group La Familia Michoacana, which is seeking to establish a base of operations in the rural community known as El Bajon de Ajuchitlan. The criminal organization has not been able to do so due to the resistance of the community, which has been outspoken about the cartel’s presence. The kidnapping appears to be an attempt to suppress the resistance, with attempts to force some farmers to join La Familia Michoacana.

[Regnum] During and after the unrest that occurred in France on October 24, police detained more than 1,300 people, and 53 law enforcement officers were injured, Le Monde reported.
The Paris police prefecture said 142 people were detained in the capital, 126 of whom were taken into custody.
"Trade was disrupted and some shops were looted," said prefectural spokeswoman Helene Denecker.
According to the publication, the number of protesters on October 24 was the same as on October 17, but thanks to more sophisticated security measures, the consequences were less severe. Specifically, police quickly stopped hooligans from invading a car dealership. A total of 70,000 police officers and gendarmes were deployed to maintain law and order, a 20% increase over previous protests.
According to Interior Minister Laurent Nunez, at least two demonstrators were seriously injured: a 20-year-old man injured in Toulouse and a protester hospitalized in Clermont-Ferrand with a hand injury.
A wave of protests began in September in France with schoolchildren protesting against a shortage of teachers, overcrowded schedules, and the state of educational institutions. Residents of disadvantaged suburbs, representatives of migrant communities, and left-wing radical movements later joined the protests. Some of the demonstrations escalated into riots, with looting, arson, and clashes with police. Some rallies were accompanied by acts of vandalism. In Paris, protesters smashed windows, looted stores, and set cars on fire. As of October 18, over 500 police officers had been injured.
The nationwide demonstration on October 17th was the largest. According to various estimates, between 500,000 and 800,000 people participated. The protesters protested rising fuel prices and declining real incomes. Following the unrest, police detained 2,700 people, and 217 were taken into custody. The French Ministry of the Interior acknowledged that police lost control of the situation during the mass protests in several cities and stated that the army could be called in to combat the unrest.
On October 24, more than 400,000 people took part in marches across France. One of the country's largest trade unions, the General Confederation of Labour, reported nearly 800,000 demonstrators. In Paris, 110,000 people took part in the demonstrations, while the union estimates the number at 250,000.
More from regnum.ru The French Prime Minister asked telecom operators to prepare to block social media
Amid protests across the country, French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has asked several telecommunications companies to be prepared for the temporary blocking of certain social media platforms. Lecornu wrote a letter to the heads of these companies to this effect, Blast reported on October 25,citing an informed source.
French Prime Minister Lecornu asked telecom operators to prepare to block social media.
According to this data, the platforms in question are Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).
The letter said several social media platforms played a crucial role in disseminating illegal calls and were used as tools for "operational coordination of violence during demonstrations."
"If similar events were to recur, I would like to be able to temporarily suspend access to these services if urban unrest resumes," the French prime minister wrote.
According to these data, the letter was sent on October 22. Lecornu asked telecom operators to be prepared to begin blocking on October 24. The companies' response to his letter has not been reported.
Large-scale protests in France began in September. They included schoolchildren demanding improved learning conditions. Later, other groups joined the protests, including those expressing economic demands, particularly against rising fuel prices and declining real incomes. Hundreds of thousands of people participated in the protests, some of which escalated into riots. During the latest rallies, which took place on October 24 in several cities, law enforcement officers detained approximately 1,000 people.
Of the 54 organizations and movements identified as part of the nationwide protests that led to 2,500 arrests across France over the weekend, only 16 are student or youth-led groups, according to a Fox News Digital report.
That is despite the origin of the protests being about school conditions, and later about youth employment and the cost of living.

Commies frequently out-organize other groups and get them to do what the commies want them to do. France has had an active well organized and well funded communist party for a long time.

Seems to me I recall that during the Vietnam War protests the police, in San Francisco of all places, rounded up thousands of protesters and put them in a field or a parking lot somewhere surrounded by concertina wire, kept them there for a very miserable few days. I dunno, Maybe it was just some wild story that I read in Rolling Stone but the cops were, allegedly, not being nice and a lot of protesters wished they weren't there.

Instead of releasing the detainees, deport them all!
[BB] A 31-year-old man was arrested Friday and accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday.
The suspect was identified as Inique Hinton of Douglasville who was arrested in Cobb County and is now facing federal charges in the case, WSB-TV reported Friday.
Hinton was allegedly caught on camera walking near the ICE building at 180 Ted Turner Drive when he allegedly ignited an object and threw it toward the building. The object hit the fence and burst into flames. Investigators found burned cloth, lighter fluid, a glass bottle, and a lighter when they arrived at the scene.
Hinton reportedly walked away from the area before authorities arrived.
Photos showed the suspect and what appeared to be a plastic bag containing the items found at the scene.
In his statement regarding the case, U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg said “Attacking a federal building with an incendiary device like a Molotov cocktail is a despicable, terroristic crime that warrants an immediate and severe response.
“My office will relentlessly investigate, pursue, and prosecute any act of arson targeting government institutions and will ensure that the perpetrators bear the full consequences of their actions.”

Interesting to note.
How terrorists, Islamist's, Rip-off NGO's, and the Democrat Party all are Anti-ICE. An also seek and force to stop it from enforcing the law, to protect the USA.
[Jpost] Prater used a "napalm-based incendiary device" to destroy the Highlander Center's buildings, a nonprofit research and education center in Tennessee, causing over $1 million in damages.
A man was sentenced to over 17 years in prison for arson and attempting to provide material support for Hezbollah back in 2019, the US Department of Justice announced on Wednesday.
Regan Darby Prater, 28, was sentenced and ordered to pay nearly $1.3 million in restitution after he pleaded guilty to the charges in April.
The DOJ said that Prater used what they described as a "napalm-based incendiary device" to destroy the Highlander Center

's buildings, a nonprofit research and education center in Tennessee, causing over a million dollars in damages.
Before setting the facilities up in flames, court records showed that Prater spray-painted a Nazi symbol in the parking lot of the Highlander Center. The same symbol was engraved on a rifle used in the terror attack on two Mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, back in 2019.
Prater admitted to committing the arson on the Highlander Center motivated by white-supremacist ideology, and admitted to targeting the non-profit for its faith-based educational priorities and its association with civil rights.
'START THE HUNT'
The DOJ also disclosed that Prater admitted to providing material support to Hezbollah. According to the DOJ, Prater obtained documents containing personal information on more than 35,000 individuals allegedly affiliated with Israel's government; however, the DOJ did not specify how Prater obtained them.
Prater took the sensitive information and provided it to an individual he believed was part of Hezbollah and reportedly told the operative to "start the hunt," the DOJ said.
The FBI Nashville field office investigated the case with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, according to the DOJ.
What the Media has dubbed a "White supremacist" actually looks more a radical Left Wing Liberal-Socialist-Democrat nutjob. Who embraced some Pro-Nazi (Democrat Socialist) ideologies.
He teamed with Hezbollah an ARAB terrorist group.
Clearly a non-White, NON-Anglo Saxon group.
To destroy the Highlander Center.
Strange teaming arrangement, for a person that hates all NON-WHITES and embraces "White Superiority".
So was the "title" of White Supremacist accurate, or just the typical Media catch-all to blame the Right Wing? As we have seen the Media do and the Democrats claim leading to elections?

He was subsequently arrested and reportedly sent for a psychiatric evaluation.

Israeli F-35 Fighter Jet Incursion into Iranian Airspace; IRGC Responds with Large-Scale Missile Exercise
According to a report published by the Israeli website "Nezif" on October 11, Israeli Air Force stealth F-35I fighter jets conducted an operation deep within Iranian airspace; the objective of this operation was to assess the capability to penetrate Iran's air defense network without detection by radars.
The report claims that the aforementioned operation was accompanied by extensive military support from the United States of America.
According to available reports, U.S.-affiliated KC-46A Pegasus refueling aircraft were active in the skies over Iraq to extend the operational range of the Israeli fighter jets. It is also claimed that the U.S. military has deployed dozens of refueling aircraft to the region, and the White House has requested that the Pentagon update attack plans targeting objectives in Iran.
According to the same report, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps held a large-scale exercise on October 11, during which approximately 30 ballistic and hypersonic missiles were employed. Monitoring launch sequencing and spectral analysis of the exhaust plumes could be used to determine local or foreign origins of these devices.
It is also claimed that Shahed-136 attack drones were utilized, Iranian fighter jets were scrambled, and air defense systems around Tehran and other cities were tested. This exercise is assessed as an effort by Iran to demonstrate military readiness and the capability to respond to potential attacks by the United States and Israel.
And Israel’s and America’s satellites were watching with judgmental eyes, modifying preexisting plans to account for what they learnt. Good job, Iran.

Abstract
Provided is a photodetector that detects missile launches from an above-flying surveillance platform through clouds. The plume detector includes a passive electro-optical sensor which detects the narrow spectral emissions in a rocket engine plume during launch thereof. By detecting a launch upon rocket engine ignition, despite a cloud layer, a gain of up to thirty seconds or more of launch warning is realized and the location of the launch can be accurately determined and the trajectory of such rocket more accurately plotted for enhanced response to such launch. The plume detector of the invention can be carried on a platform such as an aircraft or an orbiting satellite. In each case such detector can spectrally isolate the narrow spectral emissions of interest of a missile or other rocket, as it is launched, for faster tracking and response.
