[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A new name for Ilhan Omar has been revealed in a Justice Department filing.
The Minnesota congresswoman was identified as 'Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar' in a court document filed reported by Fox News on Wednesday.
The reference has renewed attention on longstanding allegations surrounding Omar's first marriage and immigration history.
The filing emerged as US Attorney Jeanine Pirro moved to prevent the search warrant for Omar's Washington, DC, home from being made public.
Pirro filed a motion on Wednesday asking a federal judge to keep the warrant sealed after several media organizations requested access to the records.
Her office argued that the government was not yet finished executing the warrant.
The filing doesn't explain why prosecutors used the name or establish that Omar has committed any wrongdoing.
Fox News has separately reported, citing people familiar with the investigation, that investigators believe 'Ilhan Nur Said Elmi' is her real name.
The legal fight comes after federal agents searched Omar's home in a federal raid on October 12 as part of an ongoing investigation involving possible fraud connected to her family's immigration paperwork.
Speaking to MS NOW's Chris Hayes on Wednesday, Omar said agents seized two of her phones, her youngest daughter's phone and notebooks belonging to her husband, Tim Mynett.
They also took a vintage camera that had belonged to Mynett's uncle, who served in the Navy, as well as a children's book designed to help people learn Somali that her husband had received as a gift.
Omar said the agents spent four to five hours searching the property and took 17 items in total.
She described the agents as having 'mostly conducted themselves in a decent way' and said they did a good job of putting everything back in its place.
The name in the latest filing has also revived scrutiny of Omar's 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
Conservative critics have alleged that Elmi was Omar's brother and that the marriage was arranged to help him obtain US immigration status.
Omar has repeatedly denied the allegations, and the latest filing does not establish that they are true.
Citing sources familiar with the probe, the New York Post reported on October 19 that authorities are examining whether Omar's 2009 marriage to Elmi was fraudulent and whether the two were siblings.
The DNA evidence is among several lines of inquiry being pursued by investigators, alongside whistleblower accounts and government records.
No DNA results have been made public, and the allegations have not been proven in court.
Omar became a US citizen in 2000 as a teenager through her father's naturalization.
Investigators are reportedly examining questions about information contained in immigration documents relating to Omar and her family.
Omar has accused President Trump's administration of politically targeting her, arguing that the investigation is an attempt to intimidate one of his most vocal critics.
Her lawyers have challenged the search and demanded the return of seized property, alleging that authorities exceeded the limits of the warrant.
The Justice Department has disputed claims that officials violated court orders.
The controversy has also unfolded amid scrutiny of Omar's financial disclosures and her household's reported assets.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Omar's office for comment.
[ZeroHedge] Virginia's Democratic Senate President Pro Tempore L. Louise Lucas, 82, has been indicted by a federal grand jury and taken into federal custody on charges of racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, money laundering, honest-services fraud/bribery, and maintaining a drug-involved premises. Six co-defendants, including her daughters and grandson, were also charged. FBI Director Kash Patel put the alleged scheme at roughly $4.5 million.
The 45-page indictment unsealed Thursday in the Eastern District of Virginia alleges that Lucas led a multi-year "Lucas Enterprise" that, since at least 2019, acquired and distributed at least 100 kilograms of illegal marijuana, laundered the proceeds through various business entities, and used her official power to protect the operation while shaping cannabis legislation for personal gain. Lucas self-surrendered Thursday morning and faces an initial appearance before a federal magistrate judge. All defendants are reported to be in custody.
WHO SHE IS AND HOW THE PROBE UNFOLDED
Lucas has represented Portsmouth since 1991 and has served as Senate President Pro Tempore and Chair of the Finance and Appropriations Committee - the most powerful budget post in the chamber. She is a longtime, outspoken advocate for marijuana legalization who sponsored key bills and co-owns The Cannabis Outlet, a Portsmouth shop that sells hemp and cannabis products. She is a close ally of Governor Abigail Spanberger and played a central role in Democrats' 2026 redistricting effort that sought to add Democratic-leaning congressional seats before it was blocked by the Virginia Supreme Court.
The case became public on May 6, 2026, when the FBI executed court-authorized search warrants at Lucas's Portsmouth district office (which also houses her disabilities-services business, Lucas Lodge LLC) and at The Cannabis Outlet next door. Agents recovered marijuana and firearms from both locations. At the time, Lucas publicly described the raids as political intimidation. Federal sources told Fox News the searches were part of a major corruption probe. The underlying investigation itself predates the current administration and was opened under President Biden. Wiretaps were active for months; at least one Democratic congressman and a local reporter later received notices that their communications with Lucas had been intercepted.
Turns out @SenLouiseLucas is nothing but a cheap low life hood rat asking her drug dealer if they’re actually a cop.
“On or about April 19, 2022, LOUISE LUCAS asked ICC #1 if they were a member of law enforcement before purchasing between 3-5 pounds of marijuana from ICC #1.” https://t.co/Xj1pmbiSJh
[NY Post] Two ex-FBI officials were charged Friday for lying to Congress that they had little involvement in investigations into Hunter Biden — despite “helping shape the public narrative” around the troubled first son’s laptop, according to federal authorities.
The former senior bureau officials, Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides, self-surrendered and are facing charges based on a probe into their work on FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF) during the 2020 election, DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro and FBI Director Kash Patel announced.
“Floris and Benavides allegedly lied to Congress about their roles in the FBI’s Hunter Biden investigations, with one claiming they only learned about it from Wikipedia – despite evidence showing their involvement in helping shape the public narrative about Hunter Biden’s laptop right before the election,” Pirro said.
“Floris led the FITF as a Deputy Assistant Director from mid-2019 through mid-2022. Benavides was the FITF Section Chief from mid-2019 through the 2020 election,” added Patel.
“Both testified that the FITF was not involved in the Hunter Biden investigations. Documentary evidence, contemporaneous communications, and witness accounts contradict their testimony,” the FBI boss said.
“Floris is also on record privately claiming to be ‘running a shadow government’ during the 2020 election in her role on the FITF,” he noted.

[PJ] Kamala Harris insists she hasn't decided whether she's running for president in 2028, but she accidentally gave the game away.
Obviously, nobody in the Democrat Party is exactly begging her to jump in. The establishment has been pushing back hard on the idea of a third Kamala campaign. Former allies and donors grumble that she squandered her first year out of office, and they can't come up with a single reason voters should take another look at her. Even her husband, Doug Emhoff, reportedly isn't thrilled about her running again.
You'd think all that would give her pause. Instead, Kamala keeps dropping hints, and her latest one came at an event in Las Vegas, where she debuted a slower, lower-pitched speaking style. It's the newest entry in her long record of changing her voice and speech cadence depending on who's sitting in the audience.
"That era of feeling powerless — like what can we do, this just keeps happening — that era is over because we are now 13 days away from doing something about it to stop the pain," Kamala said, speaking slowly and in a lower register, as if to a room of sleepy kindergarteners.
She kept up the same condescending tone while urging Nevada voters to back Democrats in the state's governor's race and for Congress.
"So that's where we are right now, and that's kind of exciting," she continued. "Right? This is some good stuff. Like, we're taking our power, we're using it, to determine who will hold offices like being the governor of Nevada. Which is so important for the people everyday on the most basic issues that affect our lives. Who will continue to walk those halls of Congress, being an extraordinary fighter."

I think that is absolutely splendid. Of course it's gonna take money, a whole lot of spending money. They better go ahead and break out those checkbooks right away.

It's not up to her, the PTB behind the Democratic Party will decide who the next Democratic nominee for President will be in 2028. It's unlikely she will be the nominee, more likely some older white democrat.
It'll be fun watching the white liberal women trying to accept that the next Democratic presidential nominee will be a white male

It wouldn't matter that she has the IQ of a gnat if she would just read from a teleprompter like Obama. He doesn't sound very smart either if he has to speak without one. Kinda makes you wonder if Kamala has trouble reading.

[TownHall] President Trump has been weighing in heavily on the Ilhan Omar fiasco, where the Minnesota leftist might have committed immigration fraud. The ongoing gaga about her marrying her brother — that might be true. Federal agents have seized DNA evidence; Ilhan Omar isn’t even her real name, based on the search warrant that was released, and the search of her home wouldn’t have occurred unless the evidence was damning. A Democrat judge signed off on it. They took Omar’s phone, computer, and passport.

I want her gone and/or jailed as much as the next person. I just want it to be something more substantial and less controversial than lying on some Federal paperwork. Deporting her on immigration fraud will likely make her a martyr and make her far more helpful to the Democrats than anything she would have done in Congress.

The list of potential Federal charges is quite lengthy, possibly as many as eight. I would not be surprised to learn she has immigrated to a sanctuary country.
[NYP] Embattled Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s usual bravado disappeared on Wednesday night as she was forced to answer the question that so many of us have grappled with: Did you marry your brother?
In the bizarre exchange with MS NOW’s Chris Hayes, the Squadette turned meek and uncomfortable as the topic turned to her second husband Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, her alleged brother-husband.
The story that she tied the knot with her sibling, she said, "started with the Somali blog . . . Somebody put it there, that he had to have been my brother or something to that effect. And right wing conspiracy theorists in Minneapolis got a hold of it."
