[BB] ATF Director Robert Cekada spoke with Breitbart News after the new guidelines for suppressor sales were signed and noted that ATF took the ruling against federal requirements for suppressor registration and applied it to all law-abiding Americans.
The new guidelines are in response to an August 5, 2026, court ruling wherein the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas Judge James Wesley Hendrix found registration requirements for suppressors and short-barreled rifles and shotguns “unconstitutional” in the absence of a tax. (The tax on suppressors and short-barreled rifles and shotguns was removed via President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.)
The case was Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF and Hendrix ruled that plaintiffs and their members could not be required to follow the cumbersome registration procedure.
The public waited and, on October 2, 2026, Breitbart News noted that the Department of Justice (DOJ) made clear it would not appeal the ruling. This put Federal Firearms License holders (FFLs) in a holding pattern as they awaited ATF guidance on how to proceed with sales of suppressors and short-barreled rifles and shotguns.
[Modernity] The media says "students" are rioting in France because of ’school funding’ and ’absent teachers’. Really? Is that why they’re violently attacking white teachers and looting JD Sports?
Communists and Moslem colonists shouting “Allahu ackbar”, egged on by the political arm of the Communist Party.

[F24] French student protesters are being 'exploited' by political forces, Macron says French President Emmanuel Macron believes students waging three weeks of protests that have closed many schools have "legitimate" grievances but are also being "exploited" by political forces, a government spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The leader, who is in his final six months of office, has asked the government to come up with "concrete responses" within weeks to the unrest by high school pupils, spokeswoman Maud Bregeon told reporters.
She spoke after Macron held his weekly meeting with his cabinet, a day after nationwide solidarity demonstrations showed significant support for the students.
The interior ministry said 161,500 people turned out for Tuesday's demonstrations held in Paris and other cities. Unions organising the rallies put the figure at 480,000.
Some violent scenes erupted on the sidelines of marches in Paris and Lyon, with police firing tear gas in response.
In his cabinet meeting, Macron "stressed that young people have legitimate concerns, but said these are being exploited for political purposes and turned into urban violence", Bregeon said.
With French presidential elections due in April and May next year, some opposition parties have seized upon the demonstrations.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the presidential candidate for the far-left France Unbowed (LFI) party, participated in one of the Paris demonstrations.
The far-right National Rally (RN) party of Marine Le Pen, whom surveys give as the frontrunner for the elections, has voiced support for police deployed to the protests and blamed students for violent episodes.

Macron is the leader but he doesn't know what to do so he asks "the government" what to do? How about the old tried and true method? Give 'em a whiff of grapeshot!

[Breitbart] Monday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “The Will Cain Show,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) argued that she and her colleagues on Capitol Hill should be required to disclose whether or not they claimed dual citizenship.
Luna made the comments reacting to an earlier raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) residence, and said dual loyalties could have national security implications.
“Let’s start with your colleague, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar,” host Will Cain said. “What do you make of this raid this morning on Ilhan Omar’s residence in D.C.?”
Luna replied, “Look, members of Congress, it seems like, for a long time have been held to a different standard. And if these allegations are true, then it needs to be dealt with legally. But, ultimately, well, this is exactly why myself, members like Kat Cammack, even Randy Fine have pushed for there to be a disclosure, at least for people to know whether or not members of Congress are dual citizens. We see that El-Sayed in Michigan is currently apparently a citizen of Egypt as well. And that’s something that I don’t think many Americans realize is a very big national security threat in the House of Representatives. But this also gets into bigger conversation on disclosures in general specifically pertaining to FARA.”
Cain responded, “Yes, I have seen the back-and-forth on this. Seems like it’s not quite 100% confirmed, unless you know some information that I do not about El-Sayed, but that’s been an open conversation. Does he have dual citizenship? And it brings up, I think, the larger question. Yes, to your point, Congresswoman, we should know. And there’s a reason that we should know, because dual citizenship suggests divided loyalties. So why do we have dual citizenship on elected politicians?”
Luna answered, “Well, 100%. You can’t be expected to have — God forbid there’s a wartime situation. Where does your loyalty lie? It should only lie to the United States. And what I would say is, with El-Sayed specifically, I think he’s out on stage. I actually saw the clip. I reposted it on my social media saying that he had Egyptian citizenship. So, I mean, look, that’s one thing that I will tell you, when you’re given access to top secret information — we know that there’s also been issue with his candidacy and him specifically wanting to condemn the Muslim Brotherhood. These are very real threats here.
“But it’s not just him, it’s also to issues of espionage specifically pertaining to China, etc.,” she added. “So, my opinion, only American citizens should be able to hold elected office.”

I believe US Military enlistees are required to declare so-called 'duel cit' status. It may not be a bar to enlistment, but will probably keep them from receiving a security clearance. If it's good enough for a soldier, why would it not be good enough for an elected congress critter ?

I've worked internationally my entire life and have had dozens of employees with a variety of dual citizenships. While it allows the individual to play one team off against the other to get the best deal, I feel it's ultimately a corrupting influence. The individual must pick one or the other citizenships to apply for a variety of situations. My preference would be for the US to simply say "pick one." Not just for congress critters but for each "citizen" of the US (and only of the US not "and the UK or Israel or Mexico".
