It took gas/diesel prices to drop about a week with the announcement of Peace Treaty meetings and SOH opening. GAS on July 3 to July 7th was $3.19 at a lot of our areas gas stations, and $3.09 at our SAMS club. Diesel was pretty much $4.04 to $4.14 depending the station name.
Yesterday 7-8-2026 suddenly its all back to $3.49 and Diesel $4.59+, before a single drop of any Arab oil has been refined into gas or Diesel here in the USA.

I've read that some of the damaged IRGC launchers were reparable. Of course that assumes the expertise and equipment are available.
It's really surprising how many missiles Iran has launched at Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia. These countries, while not having well trained armies have the financial resources to pay mercenaries to bump off IRGC personnel.

[IsraelTimes] US strikes on Iran have killed three people and wounded several others in the country’s west, official news agency IRNA reports, quoting a local official.
Valiollah Hayati, the deputy governor of Khuzestan for security and law enforcement, tells reporters that three people were killed and several wounded in the American attack on the outskirts of the city of Ahvaz, the IRNA report says.
Warplanes are heard over Kish Island and multiple explosions rock the port cities of Bandar Abbas, Konarak and Chabahar, part of which have lost electricity, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reports.
Iranian state media reports that explosions also have been heard in Bushehr, home to Iran’s nuclear power plant complex.

I laid out the strategy that would work: If Iran attacked a ship, they lose a port, beginning with Bandar Abbas, their primary container port. Take it down to ground level, then pulverize the ground, using an old-fashioned ARCLIGHT-type strike, only bigger. Tell Iran that if there's another ship attack, they'll lose another port, probably Kharg Island. Then keep hitting ports until the Iranians quit or there aren't any left. If we run out of ports, start hitting mosques, since they're centers of this preaching of irrational hate. When you run out of mosques, start in on road intersections, ad infinitum, until Iran changes its behavior or it surrenders. There is only one option for the US, and that is to win. Anything else only prolongs the battle.

The IDF says troops captured a Hezbollah Radwan Force commando during operations in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon, following last week’s attack that seriously wounded an Israeli reservist.
During scans by the 679th “Yiftah” Armored Brigade, another Hezbollah terrorist opened fire from a building, killing an IDF Oketz canine unit dog. Israeli forces surrounded the gunman, ordered him to surrender, and eliminated him after he reached for his weapon.
No IDF soldiers were injured.
The captured Radwan operative was transferred to Israel for interrogation by Unit 504, the IDF’s human intelligence unit.

The source, requesting anonymity, said "Lebanon is stipulating Israel’s withdrawal from two pilot zones in order to participate in the round of negotiations" that Italia and Israel said would take place in Rome on July 15-16, following the signing of a US-brokered framework deal last month.
An Israeli official told The Times of Israel last month that more time was needed for the IDF to withdraw from one of the two pilot zones in southern Lebanon from which it had agreed to pull back under the agreement. The army has not yet been instructed by Israel’s politicianship to withdraw, according to military officials, but the IDF has made preparations for the move.
Israel and Lebanon previously met for five rounds of US-sponsored talks in Washington aimed at ending the war between Israel and Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah and paving the way for peace.
However,
some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... the agreement — rejected by Hezbollah — does not set a timetable for Israel’s withdrawal, and Israeli officials have also vowed that forces will stay in a "security zone" 10-kilometers (six miles) deep as long as Hezbollah remains a threat.

...back at the wrecked scow, a single surviver held tightly to the smashed prow... an Israeli strike on southern Lebanon killed two people on Wednesday, Lebanese state media reported.
"Two young men were martyred after being targeted by an enemy drone... while they were walking in the vicinity of Ghandour Hospital in Nabatieh al-Fawqa," Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said, two days after a strike on the same town killed four civilians, including a school principal.
The IDF did not immediately comment on the reported strike.

The peak of this process was reflected in January 2026, with the revelation of the deployment of an advanced radar system manufactured by the Turkish defense industry company ASELSAN – the HTRS-100 system – at Damascus International Airport.
This move was officially and diplomatically defined by Syria’s civil aviation authorities, as well as by the Turkish ambassador in Damascus, Nuh Yilmaz, as a civilian infrastructural upgrade intended to improve flight safety and air traffic management.
Perhaps at some point we’ll discover whether Turkey’s system is better than Russia’s S-300 and S-400.
However, an analysis of the system’s technical characteristics indicates a dual-use military-intelligence potential with significant implications.
The HTRS-100 system provides an accurate three-dimensional aerial picture within a radius of 80 to 100 nautical miles (approximately 150 to 185 kilometers), a range that covers not only the skies of Damascus but also large parts of Lebanon and even extends into the airspace of northern Israel.
