[FOX] Chokwe Antar Lumumba, the former mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of conspiracy for his role in a six-figure real estate bribery scheme.
Lumumba, who served as Jackson's mayor from 2017 to 2025, allegedly accepted tens of thousands of dollars that Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens distributed to him and other city officials after accepting it from FBI agents posing as realtors.
Owens, also a Democrat, pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy last week.
Owens, according to a copy of the criminal indictment obtained by Fox News Digital, funneled over $80,000 in payments to Lumumba, Angelique Lee, the Democratic former vice president of the Jackson City Council, and Sherik Marve Smith, a relative of Owens'.

Chokwe Antar Lumumba (born March 29, 1983) is an American attorney, activist, and politician who served as the 53rd mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, from 2017 to 2025. He was elected in 2017 at age 34, becoming the youngest person elected mayor in the city's history. Lumumba is the son of former Jackson mayor and civil rights attorney Chokwe Lumumba, who served as mayor from 2013 until his death in 2014.
Lumumba was first elected mayor after defeating incumbent Tony Yarber and state senator John Horhn in the 2017 Democratic primary, then winning the general election in a landslide. During his mayoralty, Jackson faced major challenges involving its aging water system, a 2022 drinking-water emergency, conflicts with state officials over local control, and disputes with the city council over municipal contracts. Lumumba won reelection in 2021, becoming the first Jackson mayor in 20 years to win consecutive terms.

[BB] Homan said that the Department of Homeland Security and Trump Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy are doing a great job rooting out and cancelling the CDLs that states had given to illegals during the Biden years, but he noted the task is mostly being performed among red states while blue states are actively preventing federal officials from having access to state DMV databases.
“We’ve removed thousands of aliens with CDLs, we’re working very closely with many states. DHS is working hand in hand with Sean Duffy and his department,” Homan told Fox News, adding, “So, the problem is we’re working very well with red states, blue states are still struggling, right? Places like New York, I mean, ICE and CBP can’t even get access to the DMV database to run the checks.”
Homan then blasted blue state sanctuary laws.
“So, you know, the continuation of sanctuary states, sanctuary cities, you know, thank God Todd Blanche is suing these cities as they come up and we’ve got to keep suing them,” he said.
“But we’re out there, enforcing law,” he said, “We’re out there looking for these illegal aliens with CDLs. In the last five days, ICE has arrested over 10,000 illegal aliens, which is a record for the agency.”
Homan also noted that ICE is moving into trucker weigh stations across the country to grab up illegal alien truckers.
“Actually, in some states we are actually working in weigh stations with the troopers trying to get these people coming through, so, it’s a work in progress,” Homan said.

I can’t imagine that the transportation itself is illegal, just the transporters and their employers. Catch the truckers as they drive through red states (someone suggested weigh stations; I think just inside state borders would be best), then take a look at their employers. In the meantime, illegals with CDLs will move to blue states, bringing their pathologies with them — to the betterment of the red states and the inevitable deterioration of the blues.
Natural consequences at no cost or effort. And later it will be that much easier to round them up in the blue states.
[NY Post] Disgraced former politician Andrew Gillum, a one-time Democratic Party rising star and CNN political commentator, has been arrested in Alabama for allegedly having drugs, according to records.
Gillum — who narrowly lost to Ron DeSantis in the 2018 gubernatorial election — was arrested Thursday in Daphne before being booked for possession of dangerous drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to Baldwin County jail records.
He was pulled over for driving erratically and was found with three grams of methamphetamine, eight pre-rolled marijuana joints, four cut straws, three pipes and a bong, according to an incident report obtained by TMZ. He was released the same day, online records show.
Gillum, 46, could face up to a year in jail and a $6,000 fine if he’s convicted of the marijuana offense, a Class A misdemeanor in Alabama.

A Gay Paree appeals court cleared the way Tuesday for popular far-right leader Marine Le Pen to possibly run for the French presidency next year but said she must wear an electronic bracelet after finding her guilty of embezzling public funds.
Le Pen has previously said that campaigning with a bracelet wouldn’t be possible. But she now has the option of changing her mind, in light of the verdict that her lawyer described as a partial victory.
"It’s a good start," said the lawyer, Rodolphe Bosselut.
The court ruled that Le Pen had led to misuse by her National Rally party of European Parliament funds by paying party staff with money intended for EU parliamentary assistants. She denied any criminal wrongdoing but said the party had made a "mistake."
The appeals court upheld guilty verdicts for all 11 accused, including Marine Le Pen, other party members, and the party itself. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... it scaled back the punishments for her and her co-accused, handed down by a lower court last year.
Crucially for her presidential ambitions, it reduced her ban on holding elected office. From five years handed down in March 2025, the ban was cut to 45 months, two-thirds of which are suspended. Because Le Pen has already served 15 months of the ban since last year’s first verdict, that potential obstacle to what would be her fourth presidential run is now effectively removed.
The verdict also cut her prison sentence. It was four years, two of which were suspended, last year. Now it’s three years, two of which are suspended.
Still, the remaining year of prison time, to be served at home with an electronic bracelet, remains a potential hurdle, and it’s not immediately clear whether Le Pen feels she can campaign with that condition.
Le Pen, 57, left the courtroom without addressing waiting television cameras. But she’s expected to share her thoughts later Tuesday, in an evening television interview.
Before the verdict, Le Pen had said that if the court imposes constraints that make campaigning difficult, she might decide not to run. That could include electronic monitoring, she had said.
"If I’m allowed to be a candidate but am effectively prevented from campaigning freely, then you understand that wouldn’t be possible," Le Pen said in an interview last week.
If she decides that she cannot run with a bracelet, her protege Jordan Bardella would replace her. Bardella, 30, is the current president of the anti-immigration National Rally party that Le Pen previously led.
From the courthouse, Le Pen went to the National Rally’s headquarters in Gay Paree, where Bardella was seen earlier in the day. The party faces a potentially difficult decision in choosing which of the two might be best placed to run in 2027.
Bardella, a European Parliament politician, lacks Le Pen’s experience, and it would be his first presidential election campaign. But while Le Pen is a seasoned veteran, the bracelet makes it uncertain how effectively she could campaign. That and her embezzlement conviction would also leave her open to criticism from her potential election opponents.
Chief judge Michèle Agi said in her verdict Tuesday that Le Pen’s party embezzled 2.8 million euros ($3.2 million) by using European Parliament funds to pay its own party employees.
"The facts are serious," the judge said.
The judge had been expected to spend several hours reading out the full verdict. But instead, the proceedings were over surprisingly quickly, in well under an hour.
The courtroom, without air conditioning, became uncomfortably hot as the judge spoke, with temperatures in Gay Paree climbing past 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit). Table fans provided a slight breeze.
Prosecutors had asked the appeals court to sentence Le Pen to four years in prison, including three suspended, in addition to a ban on holding elected office for five years.

[FOX] The SAVE America Act, or the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, has been passed three times in the House but has been hamstrung in the Senate, with some lawmakers saying they are being “held hostage [by] the inaction” of the upper chamber. The Save America Act would fight election fraud by requiring individuals to provide proof of U.S. citizenship while registering to vote in federal elections, which could include a birth certificate or passport. Proponents of the bill say it would mitigate heavy reliance on verification systems and databases that may allow some bad actors to slip through the cracks.
A case in Alabama has become an example some Republicans spotlight to show how, despite existing voting laws, some noncitizens have been able to participate in elections.
The battle played out in Alabama over several years when Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen identified 3,251 individuals in 2023 who were registered to vote in Alabama and had been issued noncitizen identification numbers by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). At the time, Allen said he was repeatedly denied help from the Biden administration. He also noted at the time it was possible for some of the individuals to have become naturalized citizens who are eligible to vote, and said the Secretary of State’s Office would allow them to update their information and participate in the civil process.

The form of Jew hatred that is antizionism will not end until the costs of indulging in its peculiar pleasures are higher than the benefits in terms of Moslem and self-righteous votes and massive international Arab donations.
