[5 News Charleston, SC.] NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Two police officers were assaulted while trying to break up a July 4th block party in North Charleston on Saturday.
The incident, which was captured on video and spread widely on social media, occurred near Chicora Community Park on Calvert Street. Police said the event had been held in the same location for approximately 10 years without incident.
