Meanwhile, in Konna, 60km north of Sévaré, clashes were reported late morning.
In Aguelhok, the area is being bombed by JNIM and FLA, without direct confrontations.

⚠️ The situation resembles that of April 25, where the main action takes place in Azawad, with an intent to topple the government-held strongholds, while several strategic points are attacked in the south and center of the country by JNIM to create a diversion.

The synagogue’s Rabbi Yanky Berger tells congregants in an email after Shabbat that the suspects are “French nationals working as Uber Eats drivers,” who “have been charged with several offences.”
He says the fake firearm has been determined to be a water gun, and it was pointed toward the security guard who belongs to a local community security group (CSG).
“I want to reassure everyone that our CSG security team and NSW Police responded quickly and professionally. There is no ongoing threat, and we will keep the community informed should there be any further updates,” he says.
Double Bay is located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, not far from Bondi Beach, which in December saw an antisemitic mass shooting at a Hanukkah event that left 15 people dead.

AfD rallies support against backdrop of power struggles and scandals
Germany’s far-right AfD concluded a two day meeting that saw Alice Weidel tighten her grip on the party and acted as a springboard ahead of high-stakes elections.
Throughout the weekend Alice Weidel, who saw her support from members increase and placed allies in key posts, tried to rally her party around the German flag.
"With black, red and gold," Weidel shouted into the hall, "we are heading into the snap federal election with our national colors. We will stake a claim to government, because we are the strongest force."
Delegates waved the German flag in response.
National elections are not planned until 2029, but the AfD is trying to beckon fresh elections no doubt concerned that should the economy improve they may lose support.
The AfD believes it’s best chance of power in the short term is in the state of Saxony-Anhalt where it could win an outright majority in September. Such a result would send shockwaves through Germany.
In his remarks, co-leader Tino Chrupalla, issued a warning to party members: "We shouldn't promise anything we can't deliver."
The AfD is looking to make the transition from a protest party to a big tent party capable of wielding power. But it continues to be bogged by scandals.
A sample of stories in recent weeks include the emergence of a six year-old photo of a senior figure giving a Hitler salute, while another questioned the Germanness of non-white players in the national team.
The party continues to be monitored by Germany’s domestic intelligence services who contend the AfD's ethnic nationalist views are unconstitutional.
AfD leadership sets sights on power
Leaders of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) have reaffirmed their claim to power at the close of the party conference in Erfurt.
Co-leader Tino Chrupalla told delegates: "The AfD is here to win. And we will win and we will govern."
Chrupalla said the party’s immediate goal was to win state elections in Saxony-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Berlin in September. He also said the AfD wanted to take power at the federal level in 2029.
"We must finally move from opposition into government," Chrupalla said. "We are ready for it. We want to govern."
´The party's other co-leader Alice Weidel said the party would lay claim to government after the next federal election if it becomes the strongest force.
Chrupalla urged party unity, warning members to prepare for "disappointments and setbacks" on the path to power. He said the AfD wanted to gain another four or five percentage points and must keep persuading voters.
Weidel said the newly elected party leadership’s main task was to prepare for a possible takeover of government, including through a new basic program.
The AfD has opened an eight-point lead over Germany’s conservative CDU/CSU bloc, its closest rivals, in the latest weekly poll.
The Insa survey for the Bild am Sonntag newspaper put the AfD unchanged at 29%, while the CDU/CSU slipped one point from the previous week to 21%.
AfD party conference goes into second day
The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party continued its conference in the eastern city of Erfurt.
Delegates on Sunday focused on campaign videos for upcoming state elections in Saxony-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and city state of Berlin.
Internal matters were also on the agenda, including party rules on new members and dues.
Most of the crowd, which police estimated at around 31,000 people, had left by Saturday night after protesting the AfD gathering.
Key decisions were finalized Saturday amid large anti-AfD demonstrations in the city.
Pistorius seeks limits on AfD access to classified information
Germany's defense minister, Boris Pistorius, wants to limit the far-right AfD's access to classified information if the party enters government.
He says the AfD has close ties to Russia and President Vladimir Putin, which raises serious security concerns.
Pistorius told German tabloid Bild that sensitive material must not end up in the wrong hands.
"We are intensively examining the question of to whom we can grant access to classified information. We are already doing this. We are obliged to do so because it concerns the security of our country."
The AfD, now Germany's largest opposition party, is under scrutiny by domestic intelligence agencies in several states over extremist positions.
The party is aiming for a breakthrough in September regional elections, which could see it govern a federal state for the first time.

[KhaamaPress] Polish border authorities detained 54 migrants colonists, including 15 Afghan nationals, after finding them inside the trailer of a cargo truck at the country’s border with Lithuania, officials said.
During the inspection, officers found 54 foreign nationals inside the trailer. The group included 30 citizens of Pakistain, 15 citizens of Afghanistan and nine citizens of Bangladesh, the agency said.
Poland’s Border Guard said the incident took place on Friday, July 3, at a temporary checkpoint in Budzisko, a border crossing area in northeastern Poland. Officers from the Podlaskie Border Guard branch and customs officials stopped a truck with Romanian registration plates as it entered Poland, the agency said.

According to the Border Guard, the truck was driven by a 37-year-old Romanian citizen. During the inspection, officers found 54 foreign nationals inside the trailer. The group included 30 citizens of Pakistain, 15 citizens of Afghanistan and nine citizens of Bangladesh, the agency said.
Polish authorities said the migrants colonists were attempting to enter the country without authorization. Officials said preliminary findings indicated the driver had transported the group from Latvia through Lithuania before reaching the Polish border.
The migrants colonists are expected to be transferred back to Lithuania after administrative procedures are completed, the Border Guard said.

Authorities also said criminal proceedings would be launched against the Romanian driver. The exact charges were not specified in the official Border Guard statement.
Local Polish media reported that the operation was carried out at a temporary control point in Budzisko, in Podlaskie province, where Poland has maintained checks because of concerns over irregular migration routes through the region. Radio Białystok, citing a Border Guard official, described the case as the largest group in recent months found attempting to cross from Lithuania into Poland.
Polish media, citing Border Guard figures, reported that about 760 people have been detained this year while attempting to enter Poland irregularly from Lithuania. Onet, citing the Polish Press Agency, reported that previous cases on this section of the border usually involved smaller groups transported in vans or people attempting to cross on foot.

Aid agencies have repeatedly warned that irregular migration routes expose people to exploitation, human trafficking, dangerous transport conditions, detention and other protection risks. Polish authorities have not released further details about the condition of the migrants colonists found in the truck or whether any of them requested asylum.

Thousands of protesters aimed to disrupt the national convention of Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany party on Saturday, with some clashing with police in riot gear outside the meeting.
Alternative for Germany, or AfD, is meeting in the eastern city of Erfurt to elect its leaders, which German parties do every two years.
The party seeks to show unity while extending the terms of leaders Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla, who have run the party together for four years.
The demonstrations outside the convention reflect how AfD has divided Germany even as it is the nation’s biggest opposition party nationally.
The weekend convention has drawn additional controversy by coinciding with the 100-year anniversary of a Nazi Party meeting held nearby that consolidated Adolf Hitler ...late Fuehrer of Germany, founder of the Third Reich, currently communing with his pals Himmler and Heydrich. He is reincarnated every few days, sometimes every few hour if it's an election year, as a politician somebody doesn't like... ’s power over the fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... movement.
Historians and political opponents say the timing carries powerful symbolism, an accusation the AfD rejects.

More than 30,000 people protested in Erfurt against the AfD party convention, which is taking place there this weekend.
"Most of the protests were peaceful. It's colorful and loud—we can be satisfied," said Thuringia’s Interior Minister Georg Maier at the scene.
Maier is a member of the center-left Social Democratic Party, and Thuringia is the eastern German state where Erfurt is located.
DW reporter Paul Jäger, who was present at the demonstrations, confirmed this: "People came from all over Germany. They said that simply voting for a different party wasn’t enough for them; they wanted to take a stand for democracy by actively protesting on the ground."
Voting not being adequate to convey their opinion of the matter, they need to anti-democratically object to the existence of a political party that disagrees with their party.
Nevertheless, he witnessed acts of violence during the numerous protests. Especially around the convention center, where the party convention was held, there was violence against journalists from conservative media outlets and clashes between the left-wing Antifa movement and the police.

Liberation Army has grabbed credit for an attack on a Pakistain Coast Guards camp in the Panwan area of Jiwani in Gwadar district, alleging that more than 30 Pak security personnel were killed and dozens maimed. Pak authorities had not confirmed the claim as of Saturday.
In a statement issued late Friday, the BLA said the assault targeted the Coast Guards facility in southwestern Pakistain on Friday evening. The group described the attack as a suicide operation and claimed it was carried out by members of its armed units.
The casualty figure remains based on the BLA’s account and could not be independently verified. Pakistain’s military, the Pakistain Coast Guards and other government authorities had not immediately issued a public statement confirming the attack, the damage to the facility or the number of casualties.
Reports citing the group’s statement said the attack involved an explosive-laden vehicle followed by a coordinated assault. Khaama Press could not independently verify those details, and access to conflict-hit areas of Balochistan is often limited.
The BLA is a separatist gang that has long operated in Balochistan and is proscribed by Pakistain. The group says it is fighting for independence for the province, while Pak authorities describe its attacks as terrorism. It has repeatedly claimed attacks on security forces, government targets, infrastructure and projects linked to Chinese investment.
Balochistan, Pakistain’s largest province by area, has faced a decades-long insurgency driven by political, ethnic and economic grievances. The province is rich in natural resources and borders Afghanistan and Iran. Separatist groups have accused Islamabad of exploiting the region’s resources without fair benefit to local communities, while Pak authorities say they are combating militancy and protecting national security.
Gwadar is among the most sensitive areas in the province. The coastal district is home to a deep-water port on the Arabian Sea and is a central part of the China-Pakistain Economic Corridor, a major infrastructure initiative linking western China to Pakistain’s southern coast. The region has seen repeated attacks targeting security forces and state-linked infrastructure.
The reported attack comes amid a broader surge in murderous Moslem violence in Pakistain. Pakistain has repeatedly accused murderous Moslem groups, including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain and Baloch separatist factions, of using Afghan territory to plan or support attacks. The Taliban administration in Kabul denies the allegation and says it does not allow Afghanistan’s territory to be used against other countries.
Cross-border tensions have intensified in recent months, with Pakistain carrying out strikes it said targeted murderous Moslem hideouts in Afghanistan. Taliban authorities have condemned those strikes as violations of Afghan illusory sovereignty and have accused Pakistain of causing civilian casualties.
The latest BLA claim could further heighten security concerns in Balochistan, particularly around Gwadar and coastal installations. However,

Iraqi security forces have not commented on the operation.
ISIS seized large swathes of territory in northern and western Iraq in 2014 before being defeated in 2017 after three years of intense fighting. The military says commandos of the Duvdevan Unit raided Mukhmas yesterday and apprehended “eight wanted men suspected of chasing and attacking the Israeli citizens who entered the village.”
[IsraelTimes] A Hamas terrorist who abducted IDF officer Cpt. Daniel Perez during the October 7, 2023, onslaught and later held hostages Yotam Haim, Samar Talalka, and Alon Shamriz in captivity was killed in a strike in the northern Gaza Strip this week, the military and Shin Bet announced.
The strike on Wednesday killed Muhammad Na’im Jandiya, identified by the IDF as the chief of security in Hamas’s Shejaiya Battalion.
The military says that on October 7, Jandiya was the commander of a Nukhba Force cell that raided Nahal Oz and took part in abducting the body of Perez, a tank commander.
Additionally, he was among the “prominent masked operatives” who led the Hamas hostage handover ceremonies last year, according to the military. "Next!"
Recently, as part of his senior role in the Shejaiya Battalion, Jandiya worked to advance attacks against troops stationed in the Strip, the IDF says.
[IsraelTimes] The health of Gaza hospital chief Hussam Abu Safiya, a Hamas officer, has recently deteriorated sharply in Israeli detention, to the point of danger to his life, the Physicians for Human Rights group claims.
The assessment is made after a visit made Thursday by Abu Safiya’s lawyer, Nasser Odeh, to the underground Rakefet interrogation facility in Nitzan Prison, to which the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital was transferred on June 24, the group says in a statement.
Because lawyers are sooo qualified to make medical diagnoses.
It says Odeh claimed in his affidavit that Abu Safiya “bore fresh, severe injuries to his head, around his eyes, and on his ears and neck — to the extent that his lawyer initially struggled to recognize him.”

The Israel Prisons Service comments, according to Haaretz, that it “operates in accordance with the law and under constant judicial review,” adding: “Every complaint received is examined and treated in accordance with protocol and in accordance with the law.”
Abu Safiya was arrested by Israeli forces during the war in Gaza in December 2024 and is one of the most prominent Gazan detainees. He is being held in solitary confinement and rights groups have called for his release.
He holds the rank of colonel in the Hamas Military Medical Services, according to the service itself and Palestinian media reports. A photograph from 2016 showing him wearing a Hamas uniform and sitting next to senior members of the terror group emerged after his arrest.
Last month, the Supreme Court rejected Abu Safiya’s appeal against his ongoing detention, ruling that he can continue to be held under Israel’s law for unlawful combatants despite criminal charges not having been brought against him. The text of the decision and its reasoning have yet to be released.

[IsraelTimes] The Hamas terror group has decided to stall for time in negotiations for its disarmament and for the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s plan for postwar Gaza, recognizing that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing the same due to the upcoming Knesset election, the Kan public broadcaster reports.
The outlet cites an internal document discussed in the past few days by the Palestinian jihadist movement. It says Hamas believes Netanyahu views any concession on Gaza as political suicide, and that he therefore is intentionally stalling in the indirect negotiations, which haven’t made meaningful progress in months.
Kan reports that the document reveals a proposal made to Hamas by mediators Qatar and Turkey, suggesting that the terror group show flexibility by making “tactical concessions,” including on its weapons. The mediators expected Netanyahu to reject any reciprocal concession due to electoral concerns, resulting in Hamas appearing to be the more cooperative side.
However, the report adds, Hamas decided after extensive discussions to reject this proposal, fearing that any concession it makes will become a starting point for future pressure to make further concessions.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun insisted on Friday that the framework agreement reached in Washington with Israel last week "does not legitimize the continuation of the Israeli occupation in Lebanon," and countered criticism of the deal voiced by Amnesty International and five other NGOs.
The deal reached in Washington calls for the disarmament of the Iran-backed terror group, a gradual Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, and the deployment of the Lebanese army there, starting with two "pilot" areas. Hezbollah has rejected the deal, which does not set a timetable for an Israeli withdrawal.
Aoun said the absence of a timetable was due to the deal being a "framework formula" rather than a final agreement.
"Our shared objective is one: to secure Israel’s withdrawal," he said, according to a statement from the presidency.
Aoun responded, in particular, to criticism of Article 13 of the framework, saying the text affirms the suspension of legal proceedings between the two states during the negotiation period, but "does not preclude" any private entity from taking legal action.
The framework agreement "threatens to betray war crimes victims in Lebanon," Amnesty International claimed earlier.
The international human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... group, together with five other NGOs, took issue with the agreement’s clause committing Israel and Lebanon to cease "all hostile or adverse actions in international political or legal fora."
Amnesty noted that this could preclude actions in the International Court of Justice or the International Criminal Court. The NGO also noted: "The agreement does not appear to commit Israel to halt any initiatives in international forums against Hezbollah."
The rights groups also took issue with a clause conditioning the return of southern Lebanon residents to their locales on Hezbollah’s prior disarmament. "Under international humanitarian law, people must be allowed to return once hostilities have ended or the reasons for their displacement cease to exist," they argued.
On Saturday, Aoun also urged the United States to stand by his country after the deal.

In a message also marking the independence anniversary, the US embassy in Lebanon said on X that "it is with great pride that we stand with the people of Lebanon as they forge a brighter future — one of peace, prosperity, and promise long overdue."
