[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Labour Peer has accused US Vice President JD Vance of making 'extremist statements without evidence' over the murder of Southampton student Henry Nowak.
Baroness Thangam Debbonaire, a former member of Sir Keir Starmer's shadow cabinet, said today that Mr Vance was 'wrong' to get involved in UK politics and it was 'insulting for an ally to use the language he had used'.
Accusing him of using Mr Nowak's murder 'to stoke up tension and division' which is 'exactly what Mr Nowak's family did not want to happen', she said his intervention risked compromising the investigation of the Independent Office for Police Conduct into the police response.
'Speech like this has consequences,' she said. 'When a government level spokesman of a democratically elected ally makes these comments, it is unhelpful.
'He is making statements that are not supported and for which there are consequences and these are difficult times and lots of people are struggling but, when you do things like this and make extremist statements without supporting them with evidence, you are stoking up the division which Henry Nowak's family said they explicitly did not want to happen.'
Earlier Mr Vance drew a stern rebuke from Downing Street after he called for 'righteous anger' over Mr Nowak's killing and blamed his murder on migration.
He claimed that Mr Nowak, who was stabbed to death by Sikh Vickrum Digwa in Southampton last year, would 'still be alive today... if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it'.
Mr Vance added: 'Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won't be the last,' he added. 'Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response – the only response – is righteous anger.'
The US State Department also weighed in, calling for 'two-tiered policing' to be rejected in the West, referring to British police accepting on face value Digwa's claim that he was the victim of a racist attack even though Mr Nowak was doubled up on the ground while Digwa watched on.
In scenes that have shocked the British public and sent shockwaves around the world, Mr Nowak is seen on police bodycam footage on the ground pleading for help while police stand around and fail to help him, instead handcuffing him and reading him his rights as he died.
Meanwhile his murderer was accepted as the victim and not even arrested.
No10 accused Mr Vance, who made his comments on social media on X, and others, of 'seeking to stir up division on our streets'.
Speaking to the BBC, Baroness Debbonaire said: 'Mr Vance is wrong to base an argument on what he calls a mass invasion of migrants without any evidence of what that mass invasion means. The language of invasion is the language of conflict and war.'
The former MP for Bristol West said his language had 'real world consequences for second and third generation migrants' in the UK and said it was 'not OK' for him to suggest that migrants who came to the country 'invaded it'.
But referring to Stephen Lawrence's 1993 racially motivated murder, Baroness Debbonaire insisted that while she had come across 'bad DEI training', there were 'racist actions across society' and 'in the police it is still true that black and Asian young men are disproportionately arrested far more than white people'.
Meanwhile, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch is reported to have written to the PM to demand an independent inquiry into Mr Nowak's death and policing decisions made in the aftermath of his stabbing.
A Downing Street spokesman said: 'In recent days we have seen people trying to interfere in our democracy and seeking to stir up division on our streets.
'The Nowak family are grieving after Henry's horrific murder. They have said they do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension. We should be respecting their wishes.
'Our politics should bring people together even in the most terrible of circumstances. That is who we are as a country.'

[SDUT] Several FBI analysts tied to the creation of a 2023 memo warning of a potential threat from Catholic "violent extremists" were told Friday that they were being fired, according to three people familiar with the matter, the latest wave of terminations under the leadership of Director Kash Patel.
Two of the people said those fired included four intelligence analysts and a supervisory analyst. All spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss by name a personnel matter. The FBI declined to comment.
The January 2023 intelligence product produced by analysts in the FBI’s Richmond, Virginia, field office emerged as a political flashpoint after it was issued, with Republicans in Congress repeatedly citing it as part of their broader contention that the FBI during the Biden administration was targeting conservatives.

In February, for instance, the FBI fired a group of counterintelligence agents who participated in the investigation into President Donald Trump over his retention of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
The Richmond memo, which emerged from a domestic terrorism investigation, sought to examine a potential link between what it called "Radical Traditionalist Catholic" ideology and racially and ethnically motivated extremists. It warned of the potential for violence and also highlighted what the authors described as "new avenues for tripwire and source development." FBI leadership quickly condemned those findings once the document became public. "It was only a draft!"
An internal FBI review described in a 2023 letter to Congress and based on interviews with 26 people "found that all individuals involved in the creation, review and approval of the product failed to adhere to analytic tradecraft standards and failed to recognize that the product, as drafted, equated the subjects’ interest in their self-described form of religion with racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist (RMVE) ideology without sufficient evidence or articulable support."
The failure to adhere to standards, including on proper domestic terrorism terminology, "created the appearance that the FBI conducts investigative activity based on religious affiliation," the letter said. "One of the FBI’s most fundamental principles is that investigative activity may not be based solely on the exercise of rights guaranteed by the First Amendment."
A Justice Department inspector general report in 2024 summarized the earlier FBI review by saying that though there were departures from proper analytic tradecraft, "no evidence of a malicious intent or an improper purpose" were found. and it would've succeeded if it weren't for those meddling kids!

The only reason for vote-by-mail is because it presents so many opportunities for Democrats to cheat.
Vote-by-mail was first widely used during the pandemic beginning in 2020 and the way Trump lost to Biden in that year's election is suspicious to say the least. They can say is was necessary to prevent the spread of covid but even Fauci said going in person to the polls was no more dangerous than going to the grocery story. It's also highly suspicious the way Democrats cling to vote-by-mail even now, long after covid has passed. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you will but it makes me think that covid was a bit too convenient for the Democrats who were quick to exploit it. And you know damn well that Xi Jinping was a lot happier with Biden in the White House than Trump.

The order reclassified the workers as at-will employees, meaning the government can now terminate them without offering a reason.
A rule finalized by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) earlier this year established a new category of these workers, known as 'schedule policy/career.'
Trump's order Wednesday put those 8,000 workers, generally senior policymakers, into the new category.
'It's been a long-standing problem that it's almost impossible to fire a federal employee, even in cases of serious misconduct,' said James Sherk of the Domestic Policy Council at the public signing of the order. 'And that's a particular problem if you're in a senior policy-influencing role.'
The President lauded Sherk as a key architect of the order.

U.S. Attorney Robert Renner toured the county’s ballot processing facility amid growing questions about the speed of ballot processing.
During the visit, The Post observed rows of empty chairs, vacant ballot-processing stations and expansive areas of the facility with little visible activity while hundreds of thousands of ballots remained uncounted.
When The Post asked an election center staff member about the rows of unused workstations despite the substantial backlog, the employee insisted reporters should not be "fooled by what you see."
When pressed to elaborate, however, the staff member offered no further explanation and walked away.
The county announced Thursday night that it had processed an additional 74,486 ballots since the previous update, bringing the total number counted to 1,470,473 ballots.
Despite the progress, officials estimate 638,694 ballots remain outstanding, including approximately 627,000 vote-by-mail ballots, 9,888 conditional voter registration ballots and 1,806 provisional ballots.
The federal visit also comes on the heels of President Donald Trump’s accusations that California Democrats were attempting to "steal" both the California gubernatorial and Los Angeles mayoral primary elections.

Beyond that, the Save Act must be passed into law or else the whole country is lost.
