[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Wild footage captured the moment hundreds of lawless Chicago teens overran the city and attacked random people in the street.
Remember when it was called wilding?
The mob was seen violently stomping a shirtless man and flying into a frenzy in videos captured during the takeover of the downtown Loop district on Wednesday night.
Several police cars were seen stationed nearby, yet they apparently failed to intervene, video showed.
Private security group Community Intelligence Unit (CIU) reported at least one teen was beaten unconscious, a number of vehicles were destroyed and several people were arrested.
The group also reported that bear mace was used during the melee, and footage showed several rioters appearing to use tasers to zap each other and innocent victims.
Chicago City Alderman Brian Hopkins announced a curfew for 10pm to help bring the chaos to a close, saying the situation got 'out of control'.
He said the curfew order led the crowd to mostly disperse by 10.40pm, saying that it had an 'immediate impact' after hours of violence.
Locals say similar scenes are becoming more common under the leadership of Mayor Brandon Johnson, with gangs of teens known to frequently overwhelm the popular Loop district late at night with little resistance from authorities.
An estimated 400 teens are running amok downtown on State St. and Michigan Ave.
It's an absolute mess.
CPD contact tells us some teens have mace and tasers. Teens were tasing people.

There are those who would refer to this as sub-Saharan behaviour.
Mass attack to saturate the defense and overwhelm the defenders is nothing new. Drone swarms and flash mobs are just the latest manifestation. It does point out the need for non-lethal crowd control at scale.

The longer you wait to deal firmly with gang behavior, that harder and more brutal you will need to be to suppress it. Chicago is well on the way to needing a circumvallation solution with all the dystopian imaginings that implies.

re: #6 - (FYI - there are still a bunch of people posting that all 150 of Conehead's security people are making E-3 pay. The only people making E-3 are the twenty-plus body people evenly divided into two squads. All of the other officers watching the residence are making regular patrolman salaries. The sergeants are the ones making commander pay. That's the way it was before and as far as we know, continues.)

[LI] In a victory for religious liberty, Louisville must pay $800,000 in additional fees to settle a lawsuit brought by a Christian photographer.
Chelsey Nelson has been battling the city since 2019 over an ordinance that would require her to take photos and write about same-sex weddings, despite her Christian beliefs. She also could not explain her religious beliefs and objections to same-sex unions on her website.
The law in question “threaten[ed] Nelson with unspecified damages, compliance reports, and court orders” if she did not praise LGBT “wedding ceremonies” in the same way she does heterosexual weddings, according to Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).

You simply cannot have the government coercing people to say what the government wants them to say or to not say what the government doesn't want them to say. We have a First Amendment in this country and, if you don't like that, we have a Second Amendment.

[Breitbart] Colleges across Cuba announced on Tuesday that they would organize a “University Student Bastion Exercise” forcing students to engage in military training and “revolutionary, patriotic, and anti-imperialist activities.”
Statements from the universities, according to the independent outlet Cubanet, explained that the event, scheduled for March 27, would honor the upcoming 100th anniversary of the birth of mass murderer Fidel Castro and serve to prepare the nation’s most elite youth to engage in an “all people’s war” in the context of the economic collapse of the country.
Cuba is currently facing nearly unprecedented levels of dysfunction and acute poverty following the arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro in January. As a communist state, Cuba’s economy does not produce any significant profits for the vast majority of people and relies on parasitic relationships with wealthier communist states to stay afloat. Under Maduro, Venezuela regularly traded free oil to the country for security, torture, and espionage expertise; 32 Cuban soldiers were killed while defending Maduro in the American operation to arrest the dictator.

Chevron’s oil refining head Andy Walz said the potential for fuel shortages in California is his worst fear: “We have refineries in Asia that are having to cut crude, and so they’re going to make less products,” Walz said in an interview Tuesday. “What if San Francisco doesn’t have the jet fuel it needs? Or Los Angeles? Or maybe gasoline?”
And as if to confirm his warning, just hours later the price of California Diesel hit a record high just above $7 per gallon, or $7.072 to be precise.

[Reuters] The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency said on Wednesday it was resuming a disaster prevention program it canceled last year and reopening it to funding applications following legal setbacks.
U.S. District Judge Richard Stearns ruled in December that President Donald Trump's administration had unlawfully terminated the FEMA grant program designed to protect states and communities against natural disasters before they occur.
This month, Stearns ordered the agency to take more steps in restoring the program called the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program.
"Through this funding opportunity, FEMA is making $1 billion in federal funding available to states, local governments, territories and Tribal Nations, empowering them to take decisive, proactive steps to protect their communities from potential disasters like fires, floods, earthquakes and hurricanes," FEMA said in a statement on Wednesday.
FEMA, which is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, announced last April it would end the program, calling it wasteful, ineffective and politicized.
FEMA has seen significant staff cuts since Trump took office in January 2025.

Oklahoma's lower chamber passed the bill 59-37, with both Republicans and Democrats voting in favor, prompting a harsh rebuke from one of the GOP lawmakers who opposes the legislation. He signed the 'Agriposting' release and it's his time.
"Today the House advanced HB3660, a bill to legalize the use of composted human bodies as fertilizer. If this bill is put into law, Oklahoma joins 14 BLUE states that have legalized this process," Republican Oklahoma State Rep. Jim Shaw wrote in a Tuesday X post. "So, instead of outlawing this type of practice outright, we're on track to take the use of humanure as fertilizer another disgusting step forward."
The bill is sponsored by Republican Oklahoma State Rep. Eddy Dempsey and Republican Oklahoma State Sen. Casey Murdock, both of whom are farmers representing largely rural districts. A majority of GOP representatives — 43 of 81 — voted for the bill, while 36 Republicans and only one Democrat, State Rep. Mickey Dollens, voted against it. Republican Oklahoma House Speaker Kyle Hilbert notably supported the bill.
Shaw, who also represents a rural area, shared a video on social media showing his confrontation with Dempsey on the State House floor. Shaw told the DCNF that the exchange took place Tuesday morning before the vote.
"I just gotta ask, do you really believe that human remains, or even my favorite subject, human poop, are okay as compost or fertilizer? Do you really believe that?" Shaw asked the bill's House sponsor.

The 'I can’t breathe' seems to being taught to protesters, criminals, the woke and others. Some think it is some magical phrase that will stop the police and others use it as a tactic to draw attention, smartphone cameras, sympathy and the hope it'll help in the trial.

The project, initiated under a previous administration that has since largely fled into exile following an August 2024 uprising, had originally been scheduled for commissioning early in 2025. However, technical challenges in integrating nuclear power into the national grid and suspected delays because of the Ukraine-Russia war have pushed back timelines.
The first of two 1.2 GW units at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant are now expected to begin fuel loading on April 7, with the reactor likely to be connected to the grid by as early as June, initially thereafter operating at around 30% capacity, which officials believe will offer partial relief to the strained power system.
At present, Bangladesh relies on gas for roughly half of its electricity generation, with import dependence rising steadily. Recent geopolitical tensions have disrupted supply routes through the Strait of Hormuz though, while an attack on Qatar’s Ras Laffan facility has also driven up LNG prices, leaving the country painfully exposed to potential shortages during peak summer demand and adding pressure on foreign exchange reserves.
To this end, officials have indicated that even partial output from the nuclear plant would help ease supply constraints, though sources familiar with the project suggest it could take up to a year for the facility to reach full operational capacity, Bloomberg has reported.
The plant is being developed with Russian-designed VVER pressurised water reactors supplied by Rosatom. Delays in equipment deliveries have also contributed to the extended timeline.
As such, Bangladesh has recently strengthened its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency as part of efforts to ensure regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
In the short term, the government now plans to increase spot purchases of LNG to build a three-month buffer stock although this will not be easy in the current international climate. Dhaka also aims to procure 11 cargoes, some of which have already been secured at competitive rates, the energy minister said.
