[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Flying English, Scottish and Union Jack flags has been branded 'tools of hate' in a leaked draft of the Government's new social cohesion strategy.
A leaked draft of the proposals suggests national symbols were sometimes used last summer to 'exclude or intimidate'.
It warned that the 'extreme right has tried to turn symbols of pride into tools of hate'.
The 47-page document also reportedly warns that anti-Semitism has become 'normalised in many corners of society' from schools and universities to workplaces and the NHS.
Some £800million over ten years would be put towards 40 areas where social cohesion is deemed to be 'under pressure' under the proposals.
The draft was leaked to the Spectator magazine, which reported that ministers will unveil the finalised plans, titled Protecting What Matters, in a cross-Government drive next week.
Government sources said the draft was a version which was never going to be published and the words will not be used when the report is issued on Monday.
Last summer, patriotic campaigners vowed to continue putting up England and Union Jack flags despite council workers ripping them down.
A drive to cover British towns and cities in national flags was being co-ordinated by an online movement called Operation Raise the Colours.
Patriotic activists are using a Facebook page to help gather flags together - with members chipping in with offers of transport and equipment, such as ladders.
At the time, the Prime Minister backed the public's right to fly St George's flags but the leaked Government documents appear to link it to rising tensions over immigration and protests by the far-Right.
Reform UK's deputy leader Richard Tice told the Sun: 'Absurdly, this says our national flag is a tool of hate used to intimidate. The whole paper is a divisive nonsense that should be consigned to the bin.'
The proposals also suggest a 'special representative' role will be introduced to 'champion efforts across the UK to tackle hostility and hatred directed at Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim'.
A new definition of Islamophobia is also expected to be set out as part of guidance on anti-Muslim hatred.
Critics have argued the move could act as a backdoor 'blasphemy law' and limit free speech, though the Government has said its focus is on protecting people from unacceptable treatment.
A Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government spokesman said: 'We do not comment on leaks.'
Shadow communities secretary Sir James Cleverly said the proposal for an anti-Muslim hostility 'tsar' risked having a 'chilling effect'.
He accused Labour of 'pandering to sectarianism' after losing the previously rock-solid seat of Gorton and Denton in Greater Manchester to the Greens in a parliamentary by-election last month.
The Tory frontbencher said: 'The Conservatives stand against such divisive tactics.
'As Kemi Badenoch said this week, identity politics is a dead end and our country is headed down a dark road if it fails on sectional interests rather than shared values and freedoms.
'Anti-Muslim hatred is real. But we should tackle it with the existing laws we have for that exact purpose, without undermining free expression.'

[FOXNEWS] Former President Joe Biden told mourners at Rev. Jesse Jackson's memorial service Friday that he is "a h--- of a lot smarter than most of you," a pointed remark that stood out during his tribute to the late civil rights leader.
Biden made the comment while recounting how he was mocked as a child for his stutter and how speech impediments are often mistaken for a lack of intelligence.
"If I told you I had a cleft palate or clubfoot, none of you would have laughed," Biden said. "But it's OK to laugh at stuttering. — It's the one place where people think you're stupid.
"Oh, really? I'm a h--- of a lot smarter than most of you," he added, before quickly pivoting back to his broader point. "But all kidding aside, it makes you feel really small."
Biden made the remark during a memorial service in Chicago that brought together prominent Democratic leaders and civil rights figures to honor Jackson's decades-long political influence.
Former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton attended the service along with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Kamala Harris and Rev. Al Sharpton.
The event was held at the 10,000-seat House of Hope arena, where hundreds gathered to celebrate Jackson's life and legacy.

Issa used to represent the 49th district, on the coast, and I'm told he still lives on the coast, could be wrong about that. This is his second retirement. After the first retirement he moved to the 48th District which is inland where folks tend to be more conservative (until Newsom's redistricting anyway). But so many apartment and condominium buildings have been built on the coast that the Democrats, Mike Levin in particular, were able to win it after Issa retired the first time. Wish he hadn't done that.

I have watched Issa since Fast and Furious. He is smart, but too close to Paul Ryan for me. I imagine the establishment clan has organized a suitable replacement. Issa would vote with Trump 80% of the time and then let loose with a stinker as if he was susceptible to special interest. It has never made sense to me as he is one of the legitimately richest people in Congress.

It will be folks in mutant blue Karen districts. They will be incredibly safe districts, but their offices would have produced fundraising solicitations based on these votes. I would say that there are two critical domestic initiatives that will possibly impact tge midterms: SAVE and the Act Blue investigations. Both seem to have been derailed by UNI-party clowns.
