[Breitbart] The family of a teenage Indian boy who groped a female American tourist at a New Delhi metro station is accusing the victim of “overreacting” to the incident, arguing that the teen merely got “carried away” during his first encounter with a blonde woman.
The American woman was reportedly visiting India to attend a friend’s wedding. She described her encounter at the train station as the “one unfortunate and ugly incident” that marred a “fun and memorable eight days in India.”
Her story was relayed through social media on Friday by Gaurav Sabnis, a professor at the Stevens Institute of Technology whose class the woman once attended. She contacted him because she recalled his warning, based on his youthful memories of growing up in India, that she would attract a great deal of unwanted attention based on her looks.
“I told her, be on guard for sexual harassment. Especially in Delhi. Here, you’re just another blond. There, you’ll be a target,” Sabnis recalled telling his student.
According to the woman, strangers began approaching her as soon as she landed in New Delhi, asking to take pictures with her. Recalling Sabnis’ advice, she said “no” to the many men who approached her, but agreed to take a few pictures with women and children.
“But then a teenage boy, maybe 14 or 15, at a Delhi Metro station just ruined it forever,” she said. “He was with his mom and sister, so I thought okay, why not.”
“He puts an arm on my shoulder,” she told Sabnis. “Weird, but okay, he’s a teenager. And then, professor, he just straight up grabbed my breasts hard, and spanked my butt, and giggled like he had played a joke.”
The woman said she “pretty much exploded in anger” and shoved the teen away, inadvertently knocking him off his feet. The teen’s mother accused her of “overreacting” and said she should have indulged her son because “he had never met a blond lady up close, so he got carried away.”
She should have torn his balls off, then apologized for the overtrained reaction. Or broken his nose, ditto. Eve teasing is never acceptable.
The woman said the incident was enough to sour her on the idea of returning to India, or even South Asia.
“I feel so sad for Indian women. This is their everyday life?” she remarked.
The Times of India (TOI) on Monday described the incident as something of a viral sensation, with social media users generally supporting the woman while chastising the grabby teenage boy and his “overprotective” mother.
“Whenever my daughter traveled in India, she was left deeply bewildered – why people spoke to her while staring at her chest instead of meeting her eyes, why they asked for selfies as if she were an object rather than a person, and why so many felt entitled to touch, feel, or grab her,” one social media commentator said.
“The saddest thing is, some women are the biggest enablers of their ‘raja betas’ behavior,” said another commentator quoted by India’s News18. “It’s a vicious cycle. Boy moms are of a ‘higher status,’ so she is socialized to defend this, rather than beat the s**t out of him as a lesson.”
“Raja Beta Syndrome” is essentially the Indian version of being a spoiled brat, a condition seen as imposed upon some young Indian men by mothers who insist on treating them like princes and pampering their every need. “Raja Beta” means “the king’s son” in Hindi.
Among other things, this approach tends to produce young men with very poor impulse control who view women as servants, the way their mothers have insisted on acting toward them. Raja Beta Syndrome has been invoked in court rulings against men accused of rape and other violence against women. In one recent and controversial case, a court acquitted a woman of helping her son cover up his rape and murder of a five-year-old girl, and commuted the man’s death sentence to life in prison.

[Breitbart] British police forces are planning to trial Artificial Intelligence schemes to predict and target potential criminals before an offence has been committed.
Sir Andy Marsh, the head of the College of Policing, which sets and maintains national standards, said that there are currently around 100 projects in which Artificial Intelligence is being trialled by police forces across the country, including to reduce manpower hours spent on menial tasks such as paperwork.
However, the initiative also includes “predictive analytics” schemes to target supposedly future criminals before they commit a crime, in what has been likened to the 1956 sci-fi classic novel The Minority Report by Philip K. Dick — later adapted to film in 2002 by Stephen Spielberg– in which a group of mutants with predictive powers are tasked with aiding the police to carry out “pre-crime” arrests against people who will supposedly commit a crime in the future.

Basic community statistics will do the trick without the need to spend millions on new — and necessarily buggy —programming, no matter how fashionable in management circles. Marsh said that such predictive policing could also be applied to identify the men who pose the greatest threat to women and girls, saying: “We know the data and case histories tell us that, unfortunately, it’s far from uncommon for these individuals to move from one female victim to another, and we understand all of the difficulties of bringing successful cases to bear in court.”

Speaking to the Tony Blair Institute and Tony Blair himself, she is reported to have remarked: “When I was in justice, my ultimate vision for that part of the criminal justice system was to achieve, by means of AI and technology, what Jeremy Bentham tried to do with his Panopticon. That is that the eyes of the state can be on you at all times… I think there’s big space here for being able to harness the power of AI and tech to get ahead of the criminals, frankly, which is what we’re trying to do.”
The announcement of AI law enforcement schemes comes in the wake of a major policing scandal involving failures of Artificial Intelligence.
Just last week Craig Guildford of West Midlands Police was forced to resign from his position as chief constable after it was revealed that the decision to ban Israeli fans from a football match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and West Ham in Brimingham was partially based off of false claims derived from Microsoft’s Copilot AI chatbot.
The police force had initially attempted to claim that its erroneous justifications for banning the supposedly violence-prone Maccabi supporters were based on false information gathered from Google searches. However, it later admitted that officers had relied on the Microsoft chatbot, which in turn had “hallucinated” a violent football match that never took place in Britain involving the Israeli club.
Plans to expand, rather than reduce, police reliance on AI have drawn pushback from lawmakers. Conservative MP David Davis lamented that the Minority Report film was billed as a “dystopian sci-fi” flick, yet police leadership are openly embracing the dystopian aspects of the film.
“If an AI system deems you to be at risk of committing a crime, how do you go about proving the AI is wrong, and you pose no threat? The impact on your life when falsely accused of something is enormous,” Davis said.
“The use of these sorts of predictive policing algorithms creates a postcode lottery of justice, reinforcing existing biases and inequalities. Infusing those systems with AI will only exacerbate the injustice,” he warned.
“If the Government really wishes to start tackling the 94 per cent of crimes currently going unsolved, then it should focus on neighbourhood policing, stop wasting resources on things like ‘non-crime hate incidents’, which can amount to censorship, and tackle low-level, high-impact offending like burglary and phone theft.”

The American leader orchestrated this leak on social media without batting an eyelid, shortly after a message appeared online that Macron had no intention of participating in his new initiative—the Gaza Peace Council, a kind of alternative to the UN Security Council with a billion-dollar contribution for each participant and the right to a decisive vote for the author of the idea.
Instead, Macron invited his close friend to Paris for dinner and also to the G7 meeting after the Davos forum. He expressed his willingness to invite Ukraine, Syria, and even Russia as observers (incidentally, representatives of the Russian side are also welcome on Trump's Peace Council).
Trump's publication of the letter, apparently, was an eloquent response.
The French administration may be as outraged as they like by this action, but it would probably do no harm to remind them who started this practice.
After all, back in the summer of 2022, a video recording of a conversation between the French president and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, surfaced in Guy Lagache's documentary about Macron's policies, "The President, Europe, and War." Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov succinctly described the conversation as a "leak."
But the public humiliation of the "doer of great deeds" from the Élysée Palace didn't end there. Trump wasn't satisfied.
When asked how he felt about the French President's refusal to support the Peace Council, the US President literally stated that "nobody needs him, since he will soon leave his post."
This will happen, let us remember, in May of next year, if nothing happens – Macron’s internal affairs are also not doing so well.
In fact, Trump added, it would be enough to impose a 200% tariff on French wine and champagne to make Paris more accommodating. But even that is unnecessary.
The next move was Macron's. And it didn't take long.
He showed up to the Davos Forum wearing fashionable sunglasses. This, of course, immediately sparked even more ridicule and internet memes than his recent red eye.
The outrageous image, however, is not the only thing that will be remembered about the French president’s speech.
In contrast to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who, against the backdrop of a crisis in relations with the United States, suddenly began to display miracles of political caution and rhetorical balance, suddenly recognizing Russia's right to be called a European country "with which it is necessary to negotiate," Macron decided to play "bad cop" with Trump (and here the points came in very handy).

This fiery speech was crowned with the following conclusion: the planet is drifting “towards a world without rules, where international law is trampled upon and the only significant law becomes the law of the strongest.”
This contrasts sharply not only with the ingratiating tone of Macron's own letter to Trump, but also with other messages from European officials that he has presented to the public.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, for example, wrote to "dear Donald" about his "determination to find ways to advance the Greenland issue" and his "unbridled desire to await the meeting." For this, he earned (quite ironically) a snide comparison from French MEP Nathalie Loiseau to the "employee of the month" at a well-known American fast-food chain.
No less fawning was the joint message from “Alex and Jonas” – that is, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
And just a few hours later, Danish MEP Anders Vistisen was rudely sending Trump to hell from the podium in Davos using a popular English curse word.
This pan-European nervous tremor, this convulsive swing between servility and rudeness, was diagnosed by Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, who believes that for a long time, "Europe has been too lenient toward Trump" —and is now reaping the consequences. But is it all about Trump?

Israel has officially launched its national AI supercomputer, allowing hi-tech companies and academic researchers to train advanced AI models using discounted Nvidia B200 accelerators. The move, announced Sunday by the Israel Innovation Authority, is intended to strengthen the country’s competitiveness in the global race for computing power.
The supercomputer is part of Israel’s National Program for AI R&D Infrastructure (Telem Program). According to the Innovation Authority, AI cloud provider Nebius was selected to establish and provide access to the computing infrastructure, which is already live and operational.
Now, the authority is launching the next phase of allocating access to the computing resources.
Over the coming years, the program will distribute a total of 1,000 Nvidia B200 accelerators, with 70% designated for hi-tech companies training large-scale AI models and 30% reserved for academic research groups. The Innovation Authority says the allocation may expand if demand continues to grow.
